Is
the
exciting
time
my
name
is
Forrest
Williams
and
I'm,
president
of
these
sidecar
Valley
Science
and
Engineering
Fair
Association.
We
are
the
sponsor
for
these
children
and
we
have
a
regional,
fair.
We
have
a
State
Fair
and
we
have
the
International
Fair
and
we
have
winners
through
all
of
those
particular
categories
and
we
have
lots
of
volunteers.
We
have
over
five
or
six
hundred
volunteers,
we
have
over
a
thousand
students
participating
and
a
lot
of
work
from
the
teachers
and
the
schools.
C
The
idea
our
mission
is
to
awaken
in
each
student
that
desired
to
pursue
the
opportunities
and
the
challenges
offered
by
science
and
engineering.
Well,
you
are
the
solvers
of
the
problems
for
the
future.
Politically,
we
can
make
laws,
but
they
don't
necessarily
solve
the
problems.
There's
just
a
framework,
so
I
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
coming
and
we'll
be
there
for
you.
Many
of
you
will
come
back
next
year
and
we
look
forward
to
seeing
you
and
I
want
to
thank
the
city
of
Cupertino.

A
A
D
It's
a
great
outfit,
my
kids
wearing
it
a
long
time
ago.
I
am
the
token
liberal
arts
major
on
the
board,
but
my
husband's
an
engineer
and
he's
judged
for
35
years.
Our
kids
did
it
it's
a
wonderful
thing
and
it's
it's
gotten
very
big.
The
kids
are
excellent,
we're
working
on
getting
the
Mercury
News
to
cover
it
a
little
better,
but
it
we
really
appreciate
the
cities
recognizing
their
residents,
who
did
well.
A
Well,
I
am
you
know,
and
we
don't
have
time
for
you
to
all-
tell
us
what
you
did,
but
as
I
do
learn
about
it
and
I
missed
the
competition
this
year.
You
know
the
type
of
projects
that
you're
doing
now
in
a
science
fair
compared
to
the
projects.
I
did
many
many
years
ago,
or
rather
dramatically
different.
So
I
do
appreciate
that
and
it's
really
important.
You
know
this
background
is
important,
no
matter
what
you
do,
no
matter
what
you
finally
end
up
doing
I
was
an
engineer
but
I.
A
You
know
I
spent
most
of
my
hp-35
years
in
marketing,
but
having
that
basic
science
and
engineering
background
is
really
critical
to
whatever
you
decide
to
go
on
and
do
almost
whatever
career
you
do
so
so
keep
it
up
all
right,
so
I'm
going
to
name
some
names.
These
are
the
ones
I
hear
that
are
here
tonight.
A
A
B
A
A
A
And
the
Ramachandran
czar
they
not
here
doesn't
look
like
it,
so
I
think
we're
next
is
Ashish.
Some
Adar.
A
E
F
My
project
was
aimed
to
develop
a
new
diagnostic
tool
for
breast
cancer,
so
the
current
problem
with
breast
cancer
treatment
is
at
about
85
to
90
percent
of
patients
are
given
chemotherapy
to
prevent
metastases
they're
only
about
30%
of
these
patients
actually
need
it.
So
the
goal
of
my
project
was
to
develop
micro,
RNA
based
prognostic
signatures
to
identify
patients
who
are
likely
to
develop
metastasis
and
the
implications
of
this
is
reducing
the
prevalence
of
adverse
side
effects
in
the
clinic.
So.
A
Former
mayor
died
of
breast
cancer
right
yeah
right,
so
it
is
it's.
It's
and
I
know
somebody
back
east
that
has
it
as
well.
So
so,
like
I
said,
that's
a
as
you
described,
that's
a
little
different
than
me
in
high
school,
putting
two
nails
and
a
lemon
and
seeing
what
I
can
get
electricity
all
right.
One
more.

Then
very
quickly,
as
vice
mayor
Gilbert
wall
I,
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
former
County
Councilman
Forrest
million
in
the
board,
as
well
as
on
synopsis
for
showcasing
the
wonderful
students
from
the
city
of
Cupertino
coach
is
known
for
a
wonderful
school
district
and
by
looking
at
all
these
wonderful
awards
and
certificates
that
we
got
today.
We
know
that
Cupertino
is
the
right
place
to
live,
work
and
live.
Thank
you
very
much
for
us.
