From YouTube: Public Safety Forum 2015: City Apps and Website
Description
A review of the Cupertino website and smartphone apps.
A
Hello,
everybody,
my
name,
is
Navy
matter
and
actually
work
in
cities,
communication
department,
part
of
the
city
website,
and
also
a
lot
of
e-services.
We
have
on
the
city
website,
I,
don't
know
if
you
are
aware
that
Cupertino
actually
has
a
formal
mobile
platform.
We
have
five
mobile
apps,
which
we
have
developed
over
a
period
of
I,
would
say
five
years
now
and
you
can
see
all
our
mobile
apps,
which
we
have
done
on
our
webpage.
Cupertino
dark,
/
mobile.
A
This
is
the
list
of
apps
we
have
currently
and
we,
our
platform
is
growing.
We
every
year
we
in
last
year
we
have
on
an
average
of
added
182
mobile
apps
to
this
list.
I'll
talk
a
little
bit
about
a
few
of
these
apps
actually
are
related
to
being
safe
and
prepared,
but
we
have
done
whew,
which
kind
of
provide
different
services
and
we'll
talk
a
little
bit
as
we
get
to
get
to
them.
The
first
actually
app
we
had
and
koopa
tina
was
what
we
call
access
Cupertino.
A
This
is
an
application
mobile
app,
which
you
can
actually,
which
is
available
both
for
iOS
and
Android,
and
you
can.
It
provides
access
to
city,
24
7,
you
can
actually,
if
you
are
walking
down
the
street
and
if
you
see
a
pothole,
you
can
just
take
a
picture.
I
send
it
to
us
through
through
the
app
and
the
backend.
It
gets
routed
to
our
CRM
system.
We
call
it
access
Cupertino
and
the
right
person
gets
that
request
and
hopefully
a
response
to
your
question
or
complaint
or
request.
A
You
can
send
videos,
you
can
send
pictures
and
we
have,
as
I
said,
both
the
Android
and
iOS
version
of
this
another
app,
which
we
build
around
around
three
to
four
years.
Back
was
ready.
9501,
for
this
is
our
preparedness
app.
It
has
a
lot
of
information,
a
lot
of
really
good
information
to
deal
with
any
kind
of
emergencies.
A
Earthquake
fire
flood
pandemic
situations.
It
provides
very
detailed
instructions
how
to
be
prepared
for
these
any
of
these
emergencies.
It
has
extensive
checklist
and
it
has
actually
a
link
to
our
Cupertino
radio
stream.
So
you
can
go
there
and
listen
to
our
Cupertino
radio,
which
will
become
a
very
key
important
source
of
communication
during
real
emergencies.
It
has
linked
over
social
media
sites
and
I
said,
as
it
has
a
pretty
good
selection
of
preparedness,
videos
which
actually
reside
within
the
application.
A
They
you
don't
need
to
go
to
I,
don't
need
to
have
a
Wi-Fi
or
a
satellite
connection
to
see
those
videos.
They
are
part
of
the
application.
You
will
be
able
to
see
all
those
videos
in
real
emergency
situation.
It
also
has
the
map
which
I
think
and
talked
about
the
ark
locations,
which
is
a
critical
piece
during
emergency
situation.
Currently
we
have
an
iOS
version
of
this
and
we
are.
We
are
thinking
of
building
a
Android,
and
we
also
because
this
was
one
of
our
earlier
apps.
A
The
other
now
I'm
going
to
talk
a
little
bit
about
the
other
apps
we
have
so
city
of
Cupertino
did
a
very
extensive
audit
of
Caputi
all
the
trees
which
are
located
in
this
city.
This
is
these
are
the
trees
which
are
in
front
of
your
house
or
your
business,
so
they
went
and
audited
and
took
details
of
every
single
tree
and
we
had
a
database
which
I
guess
Terry
was
managing.
She
has
a
GIS
layer
for
it.
We
took
that
data
and
we
created
an
app
for
that.
After
that,
you
can.
A
With
this
app,
you
can
actually
look
at
the
details
about
this
tree
in
front
of
your
house.
You
can
find
out
about
how
old
it
is.
What
is
the
circumference?
What
species?
That
is
what
kind
of
care
instructions
you
know
you
can
see
the
detail,
species
care
instructions,
and
also
you
can
actually
name
that
tree.
A
You
can
call
your
tree
something
and
we
we
have
that
in
a
database
I
have
and
you
and
obviously,
with
the
click
of
a
button,
you
can
send
us
a
request
in
case
any
kind
of
a
service
request
for
that
tree.
So
this
is
the
curb-
and
this
also
you
know,
came
out
of
a
need
because
we
had
a
pretty
good
deal
we'll
build
this
up.
A
Another
apps
which
we
build
was
is
called
East
95
woven
for
it
is
a
showcase
all
our
local
restaurants,
food
places,
grocery
stores,
farmer
markets
and
vineyards
we
have
within
the
city.
It
offers
a
lot
of
details
of
all
these
restaurants
and
food
offerings,
and
you
currently
have
both
iOS
and
Android
version
of
this,
the
last
app
which
we
actually
rolled
out
this
year.
We
call
it
mobile
95
woven
for
it's
like
a
little
mini
website.
It
takes
a
lot
of
information
from
our
city
site.
