From YouTube: Public Safety Forum 2015: Public Safety Commission
Description
Cupertino Public Safety Commissioners demontrates the PulsePoint/AED app.
A
Okay,
so
before
we
start
at
first
like
to
introduce
the
chair
of
the
Public
Safety
Commission
mr.
Rob
McCoy
and
then
second
before
I
start
I
would
like
to
invite
all
of
you
to
make
some
noise.
Let's
give
a
standing
ovation
to
the
men
and
women
from
the
fire
and
the
law
department
who
spend
all
of
their
time
risking
their
life
to
protect
our
safety.
Please
everyone
stand
up.
B
A
So
what
is
the
current
status
of
pulse
point?
There
are
over
1,000
communities
across
22
states
that
has
already
activated
with
pulse
point
and
then
over
a
quarter
of
million
users
across
the
united
states
have
signed
up
to
use
powerpoint
and
we
adding
500
users
on
the
average
per
day
to
activate
with
a
pulse
point,
but
more
importantly,
over
10,000
volunteers
who
know
cpr
has
responded
to
over
3,500
cardiac
arrest
incidents
and
save
lives.
A
Okay,
as
mayor
Rawlings
mentioned
earlier,
just
last
month,
a
person
in
sunnyvale
just
in
our
neighborhood,
his
life
was
safe
by
using
pulse
point
and
that's
the
reason
why
tonight
for
our
Public
Safety
Commission.
Our
theme
is
to
introduce
pulse
point
this
application
to
all
of
you,
okay
and
then
some
of
you
might
wonder.
Okay
now,
I
know
what
it
is
now.
I
know
how
it
works.
I
also
know
the
benefit
of
pulse
point:
how
can
I
get
it?
Okay
and
there
are
two
ways
to
get
it.
A
One
is
if
you
have
an
iPhone
you
can
download
from
the
App
Store
from
the
iphone,
and
if
your
Android
users,
you
can
also
download
it
from
Google
Play,
ok,
so
the
available
on
both
versions.
Okay,
and
if
you
have
any
additional
questions
for
PowerPoint
such
as
the
PowerPoint,
we
just
show
to
you
the
videos,
you
can
actually
directly
go
to
the
pulse
point
or
organization
and
then
finally,
okay,
one
more
thing,
you
might
be
asking
say:
okay,
I
learned
the
CPR
I've
downloaded
apps
I'm,
ready.
Okay.
What
else
can
I
do
to
help?
A
Well,
there's
one
more
thing
you
can
do
to
help
because,
in
addition
to
CPR,
there's
one
more
machines
very
important,
the
AED,
the
defibrillator
okay.
So
thanks
to
the
fire
department
and
the
city
of
Cupertino,
there
was
actually
a
challenge
to
locate
all
of
the
Aedes
in
a
South
County.
So
I'd
like
to
do
is
maybe
what
Rico's
standing
I'd
like
to
invite
Stephanie
the
pio
to
give
you
a
little
status
update,
but
while
she's
coming
up,
okay,
I,
also
like
to
invite
you
to
make
some
noise
again
one
more
time.
