From YouTube: Dearborn Heights City Council Meeting: 6/8/21
Description
The Dearborn Heights City Council Meeting taking place Tuesday, June 8th 2021 via Zoom.
A
B
E
F
A
A
Everyone,
please
be
seated
at
this
time,
I'm
going
to
unmute
and.
A
B
Our
meeting
thank
you,
chairwoman
and
thank
you
to
our
city,
council,
members
and
mayor
and
everyone
for
all
your
incredible
help
in
getting
the
information
out
about
the
american
rescue
plan.
First,
just
really
great
news:
we
were
you
know
every
member
of
the
united
states
congress
was
asked
to
submit
transportation
or
what
I
call
service
project
projects,
that's
beyond
the
larger
infrastructure
bill
proposal
that
we
hope
to
get
through
this
summer.
B
So
some
of
those
projects
include
ones
that
are
in
dearborn
heights
and
it
impacts
dearborn
residents
and
it's
so
it's
now
in
the
house
plan.
So
it
got
through
that
phase,
which
is
incredibly
important
because
when
it
gets
in
it's
a
pretty
much
shoe
in
and
what
I
hear
from
senator
stabenow
is
usually
they
don't
take
it
out
in
the
senate,
so
the
one
of
them
is
the
north
beach
daily
road
rehabilitation
project.
B
The
location
is
north
beach,
daily
road
from
warren
to
joy,
right
into
the
city
of
detroit,
and
then
the
other
one
really
important
impacts.
Dearborn
heights
as
well
is
bridge
replacement
on
hines
drive.
This
one
is
particularly,
I
want
to
make
sure
I
got
the
location,
it
just
said:
heinz
drive
over
middle
rouge
river,
so
I'm
sure
you
all
are
aware.
So
those
are
two
projects
that
are
now
big
hurdle
through
that
phase
and
we're
going
to
get
those
through.
B
The
next
thing
is,
which
is
huge,
an
american
rescue
plan.
Of
course
you
know
we
fought
extremely
hard,
some
of
us
in
in
one
case
you
saw,
I
did
not
vote
for
one
of
the
covet
bills
because
it
didn't
have
state
and
local
funding.
I
was
very
upset
about
that.
This
particular
last
one
proposal
did
and
20
about
over
24
million
dollars
has
been
allocated
for
dearborn
heights.
As
of
march
2021.
B
I
haven't
heard
anything
of
changes
if
it
does
I'll
make
sure
to
communicate
that
with
the
city,
so
just
know
that
dearborn
heights
can
actually
qualify
to
apply
directly
to
u.s
treasury.
My
office
has
an
open
door
policy
of
anything
that
I
can
do
to
make
sure
this
money
comes
in.
Local
governments
are
going
to
receive
the
allotment
in
two
parts,
50
provided
at
the
beginning
in
may
2021,
and
hopefully
that
came
through
and
then
the
balance
delivered
approximately
12
months
later.
B
So,
please
be
aware:
now
you
all
know
the
american
rescue
plan
is
hoping
to
help
fill
any
gaps
or
challenges
within
city
budgets.
As
you
know,
the
pandemic
was
something
that
a
lot
of
us
did
not
plan
for
did
not
know
it's
a
pandemic,
a
health
crisis,
and
so
I
know
a
lot
of
things
which
made
changes
to
like
going
on.
Virtually
you
know.
Many
of
you
are
the
front
line,
are
many
of
our
firefighters.
B
I
know
personally
have
gone
to
people's
homes,
all
those
you
know
these
are
frontline
folks
that
helped
crush
this
virus,
and
I
know
that
that
hurt
a
lot
of
our
local
government
funding
so
know
that
it
will
address
a
negative
economic
impacts
caused
by
public
health.
Emergency
support,
public
health
expenditures.
In
regards
to
that
fr
provide
premium,
you
know,
pay
for
essential
workers,
invest
in
water,
sue
and
broadband
infrastructure.
B
Some
some
of
that
might
have
have
to
have
been
changed
because
of
delay,
and
maybe
some
of
the
projects
because
of
kobe
things
like
that.
So
I'm
really
really
pleased
that
you
all
are
going
to
see
that
the
other
important
announcements
congresswoman
dingle
and
I
had
a
really
good
conversation
with
the
biden
administration
about
e-course
creek.
B
This
is
something
that
we
all
have
to
be
very
due
diligent
on
our
division
for
our
state
or
our
region
for
army
corps
of
engineers
has
made
this
ecourse
creek
project
a
priority
issue.
B
It's
only
one
piece:
it
will
not
fix
completely
all
the
struggles
and
challenges,
and
I've
talked
to
councilman
abdullah
about
this,
as
well
as
treasurer
hicks
clayton
about
this,
but
at
least
20
of
some
of
the
challenges
with
the
flooding
in
e-course
creek
will
be
addressed
with
some
of
the
federal
support
that
doesn't
mean
we
don't
continue
to
pressure
fema
and
other
folks
to
help
us
with
many
of
the
families
impacted
by
the
increase
in
water
levels
at
the
creek.
B
So
and
again
with
that
too,
please
know
many
residents
and
you
know
I'll
work
with
the
chair.
I've
met
with
her
and
we've
talked
about
this.
We
want
to
make
sure
the
funeral
assistance
through
fema
is
accessible
to
our
residents.
Many
still
are
unaware
of
it.
Many
might
be
grieving
and
still
mourning,
and
we
understand
that,
but
I
want
to
make
sure
that
you
know
this.
B
Millions
of
dollars
have
been
placed
towards
helping
families
cover
or
recover
at
least
some
of
the
costs
for
burying
their
loved
one
that
have
passed
on
because
of
kobit.
I
want
to
make
sure
that
again,
our
residents
have
access
to
it
right
now
we're
seeing
folks
trickling.
B
Finally,
in
after
we
did
a
town
hall
about
it
and
some
think
they
don't
qualify,
it's
best
to
at
least
attempt
to
please
apply
and
work
with
our
office
to
get
this
money
and
again
it
could
be
thousands
of
dollars
that
your
family
can
recover
from
funeral
services.
B
With
that,
madam
chair,
no
anything
regarding
stimulus,
survival
checks
still
hearing
from
residents
throughout
the
district.
In
regards
to
that
as
well.
As
you
know,
a
number
of
again
challenges
that
come
in
especially
my
small
businesses
they're,
starting
to
see
a
kind
of
a
slowdown
and
hearing
responses
from
the
small
business
association.
That's
where
you
call
us
talk
to
us,
use
the
power
of
this
office
to
expedite
some
of
your
requests,
or
at
least
get
folks
to
pay
attention
to
your
asks
and
requests.
B
B
Our
denver
and
heights
residents
are
very,
very
active
and
very
much
are
constantly
reaching
out
to
my
office
about
a
number
of
policy
areas,
but
I
do
always
want
to
make
sure
that
the
heart
of
what
we
do
is
around
direct
services
and
making
sure
again
I
can
pass
all
kinds
of
bills
and
funding,
but
if
our
residents
are
not
getting
the
information
to
apply
for
water
assistance
to
apply
for
rental
aid
apply
for
student
really,
you
know
loan
relief
processes.
B
Then
we
don't
benefit
from
it
and
that's
where
you
all
can
help
me
and
and
be
ambassadors
to
get
that
information
out
again.
Thank
you,
madam
chair,
for
the
opportunity
to
let
you
all
know
about
all
the
amazing
funding
and
support
that
we
are.
We
we
have
done
to
support
communities
like
dearborn
heights
and
thank.
H
D
D
Okay,
item
11b:
yes,
there
is,
I
think,
typo
error
unsigned
it's
supposed
to
be
unassigned.
A
A
A
I
A
I
A
C
I
moved
that
the
dearborn
heights
city
council
approved
the
proposed
professional
services
agreement
between
plant
moran
and
the
city
of
dublin
heights
for
the
fiscal
year.
2020-2021
audit
and
authorize
the
mayor
to
sign
the
agreement
on
behalf
of
the
city
in
addition
approve
the
proposed
maximum
fee
summary
schedule
for
the
audit,
as
outlined
in
item
8a.
M
Okay,
we,
we
could
actually
put
something
else
in
them.
Another
meeting
another
motion,
councilman
of
the
with
this
one
I
mean
you-
would
have
to
amend
the
whole
8a
item
to
do
that.
If,
if
you,
if
you're,
if
that's
your
request.
D
That's
fine,
but
I
would
like
you
to
take
it
into
consideration
and
we
really
need
to
know
a
little
bit
about
that
program,
because
I
think
it's
going
to
be
heavy
heavy
burden
on
the
taxpayers
in
the
long
run.
So
please
keep
it
in
mind
and
see
how
you're
going
to
bring
it
in
front
of
us.
So
we
know
exactly
how
we're
paying
where
we're
paying
and
how
can
we
correct
it
if
there
is
something
we
can
correct?
C
Man,
chair
and
I
know
we're
doing
the
regular
audit
that
we
do
every
single
year
and
and
again
I
want
to
bring
this
up.
As
you
know,
from
day
one
I've
been,
I
shouldn't
say
from
day
one,
but
for
quite
a
while.
I've
been
against
the
audit,
that's
going
to
be
done
in
the
city,
and
I'm
not
talking
about
this
specific
audit.
I'm
talking
about
the
audit
that
we
were
going
through
the
different
firms.
C
I
still
believe
that
there's
a
lot
of
money
that
has
been
wasted
on
that
audit.
I
still
believe
at
this
particular
point
now.
I
believe
I
know
at
this
particular
point.
Nothing's
come
forward.
That's
been
totally
alarming
and
off
the
top
of
my
head.
We
have
three,
maybe
four
hundred
thousand
dollars
that
we've
already
spent
either
with
attorney
fees,
audit
back
and
forth
between
the
two
sides,
and
at
this
point
as
I
speak
today,
we
still
have
nothing.
I
personally
would
love
to
put
this
thing
on
steroids.
C
Have
them
do
a
little
bit
further
audit
this
year
and
let's
just
move
on
with
our
lives
instead
of
just
keep
spending
thousands
upon
thousands
upon
thousands
of
dollars
and
to
this
point
we're
talking
about
two
to
three
years
later,
there's
still
nothing
that's
come
out!
That's
that
crazy,
alarming!
Just
making.
A
G
A
I
think
it's
time
we
do
it
councilman
constant.
Did
you
have
a
question.
H
Yes,
I
just
said
if
we
could
get
a
report
from
riemann
robinson
and
if
that
could
be
shared
any
irregularities,
let's
say
our
problems
with
the
comptroller
and
also
with
plant
moran,
but
yeah
that
we
went
through.
I
think,
a
total
of
11
lawsuits
and
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
time
and
energy
spent
on
the
audit,
and
I
think
we
need
to
draw
that
to
a
conclusion
and
focus
on
having
one
company,
whoever
it
is,
do
our
audits
and
highlight
what
our
deficiencies
are.
Thank
you.
A
O
C
I
missed
it
because
I
lost
a
little
bit
of.
I
couldn't
hear
you
guys,
so
the
other
thing
I
had
suggested,
if
you
recall
a
while
back
sometime
last
year,
we
do
these
audits
and
plant
moran
who's.
A
very
reputable
firm
does
as
good
of
a
job
as
they
could
and
overall
they've
done
a
very
good
job.
The
challenge
that
I've
always
had
year
after
year
after
year
that
I've
been
on
the
council-
and
I
know
councilman
zuhara
blah-
has
also
mentioned
this
had
a
concern
about
this.
C
Is
we
have
no
actual
implementation
of
a
lot
of
these
suggestions
that
they
make,
and
I
talked
about-
maybe
hiring
plant
moran
to
have
them
work
with
us
on
actual
implementation
of
whatever
suggestions
that
they
have
and
then
come
back
and
re-audit
this
again,
not
necessarily
at
the
end
of
the
year.
I'm
like
okay,
they
ask
us
to
do
abc,
come
back
a
month
later
see
what
we've
done.
C
M
Thank
you,
council,
chair,
so
based
on
some
of
the
conversations
or
questions
or
concerns
that
the
council
has
put
up,
obviously
with
any
any
administration.
You
know
with
all
the
different
groups
that
I've
led.
You
know
the
different
organizations
nonprofit
the
first
thing
that
we
that
I
did
leading
the
organization
you
do
a
full-blown
audit,
you
know
so
every
leader
will
do
a
full-blown
audit.
You
know
from
the
previous
leadership
doesn't
mean
there
was
any
ill
intent.
M
However,
you
know
you
have
to
make
sure
that
you,
you
know
every
every
leader
that
comes
in
to
any
organization
you,
you
audit,
like
full.
You
know
the
books.
So
since
I've
been
appointed
to
this
position
with
my
with
my
team
that
I
have
in
place,
we
are
doing
and
one
of
the
biggest
things
you
do-
internal
audits
yourself
as
an
organization.
M
So
we
have
been
doing
that
and
we
found
a
lot
of
issues
concerns.
Actually
we
made
some
adjustments
and
just
because
we're
preparing
for
the
audit.
Obviously,
so
I
want
to
make
sure
that
we
we
correct
some
of
the
issues
that
was
brought
forward
by
plant
moran,
but
also
with
some
of
the
stuff
that
we
have
received
from
the
state
from
the
treasury
office
from
michigan
treasury
office.
They
actually
send
us
a
couple
of
you
know
items
one
with
the
non-conformist
and
the
other
one.
M
Basically,
the
city
issuing
contracts
with
no
bidding
and
any
any
of
that
stuff
in
the
past.
So
we
are,
we
are
taking
action
on
a
lot
of
items.
We
are
doing
internal
audit.
You
know
we
have
great
people
that
they're
looking
at
their
different
groups,
we're
making
sure
that
you
know
when
we
do
bring
plant
moran
in
here.
I'm
I'm
hoping
you
know
with
everything
that
they
have
written
in
that
last.
What
13
14
years
that
I've
monitored
that
we're
actually
taking
action
on
those
items
so
when
they
do
come
they're?
M
Definitely
I
don't
want
them
to
write
their
repeat
items.
Obviously
I
want
to
correct
those
items
first.
So
when
plan
moran
comes
in
here
for
the
audit,
I
am
planning
on
having
do
a
full-blown
audit.
Not
just
you
know
whatever
they
were
doing
before
I
mean
I'm
not
saying
that
they
weren't
doing,
but
but
I
want
full-blown
audit
whatever
they
find.
You
know
I
want
to
dig
more.
I
I
don't
want
to
like.
Do
you
know
even
like
partial,
so,
basically,
what
with
me
being
in
this
in
the
seat?
M
I
want
a
full-blown
audit.
You
know,
like
a
forensic
audit,
just
to
make
sure
you
know
we
are
in
compliance.
That
way,
like
I
said,
you
know
we're
we
want
to
be
transparent.
I
want
to
make
sure
that
if
there's
any
concerns
anything
that
happened
in
the
past,
I
want
it
to
be
brought
forward.
So
the
council
is
aware
of
all
the
issues.
A
Thank
you
hassan
jamal.
Did
you
want
to
add
to
that.
P
Yes
answering
well
great.
P
P
So
if
you
read
the
consumer
abdullah,
if
you
read
the
disclosure
by
grant
moran,
you
will
notice
in
particular
that
line
of
demarcation.
They
are
here
to
inform
us.
We
should
the
oddities
in
this
particular
situation.
Dearborn
heights
should
have
the
capacity
the
capability
of
managing
and
correcting
that's
on
the
other
teams.
They
are
not
on
the
other
tolls
because
they
can't
do
it.
Okay,.
I
We're
getting
off
way
offline
here
we
need,
we
have
a
motion
on
it
on
the
floor
for
for
8a
and
we're
getting
way
off
on
talking
about
different
things,
and
this
is
something
that
could
have
been
done
at
new
business
of
asking,
with
all
due
respect
to
councilman
abdel
hawk
about
bringing
this
to
add
something
to
an
audit
could
have
been
brought
up
later
and
and
and
with
councilman
dave
abdullah's
request.
I
We've
already
agreed
that
we're
going
to
have
a
meeting
so
we're
getting
way
off
a
base
on
what
we're
actually
trying
to
accomplish
here.
Thank.
P
You
thank
you
councilman,
just
trying
to
answer
to
inform
we
that
plan
can't
do
what
you're
asking
for
councilman
it
will
be
crossing
the
line
of
ethics
and
demarcation
will
be
in
trouble.
They
they,
the
mayor,
put
already
a
team.
They
called
the
budget
team,
we
did
internal
audits,
we
are
going
in
and
actually
confirming
to,
the
state
treasury
department
for
corrective
actions.
So
we
are
doing
internal
control
policy,
it's
underway.
P
We
almost
done
the
policy
can
have
chapters.
Those
chapters
will
dictate
how
the
internal
control
of
the
city
is
is
is
actually
you
know,
follow
it
it's
not
in
place.
Now.
We
are
only
relying
on
the
city,
the
charter,
and
this
is
being
done.
I'm
leading
that
team
with
the
direction
of
the
mayor.
We
are
almost
there.
You
will
have
that
policy
come
to
your
table
for
discussion.
There
will
be
a
public
hearing
or
whatever
you
want
before
it's
approved
with
that.
Thank
you
very
much.
H
I
think
my
questions
were
answered.
Thank
you.
A
I
Moved
the
debra
knight
city
council
approved
the
residential
purchase
of
agreement
for
two
four
one,
one,
one
courier
in
the
amount
of
a
hundred
and
ten
thousand
dollars,
including
the
following
two
changes.
One,
the
identity
of
the
seller
is
correct.
The
original
is
listed
as
geraldine
philippe
as
a
seller.
The
title
is
held
by
ms
miss
philippe's
trust.
I
C
C
P
P
Grant
through
representative
rashida
slave
and
we
forwarded
that
particular
form
for
them.
We
we
are
receiving
that
and
based
on
that,
if.
P
So
far
we
don't
have
enough
to
fulfill.
Even
you
know
the
ones
we
are
eligible
for,
so
we
are
gonna
put
it
on
the
city
council.
I
mean
I'm
sorry
on
the
city
website
or
I
may.
I
may
go
out
and
put
it
in
the
newspaper
because
really
we
wanted
to
collect
as
many
as
what
what?
P
What's
that
for
a
volunteering,
you
see
that
for
madame,
that
form
really
is
the
beginning
of
it,
and
I
hope
we
have
enough,
but
I
am
with
you
100
I
mean
I
will
bring
to
you
your
authorization
to
advertising
the
newspaper
it's
up
to
the
mayor.
If
the
mayor
agreed
we'll
do
that.
R
A
G
S
G
E
G
C
G
Councilman
they
do.
I
moved
at
the
city
of
dearborn
heights.
Dearborn
city
council
concur
with
a
mural
appointment
of
steve
henry
with
sam
harissa
doctor
alesso
larry
henry
and
councilman
robert
constant
to
the
newly
established
commission
on
business
terms
to
expire
january,
2nd
2023,
as
outlined
in
8
d.
D
I
think
we
should
include
you
know
in
this
commission
some
of
the
largest
taxpayers
who
have
built
the
large
businesses
in
the
in
the
city.
But
those
are
great
appointment
and
I
thank
the
mayor
for
bringing
them
forward.
P
I
I
A
I
Moved
that
the
city
of
dearborn
heights
approved
the
following
budget
amendments
to
the
treasurer's
office
budget
for
the
current
fiscal
year,
2020
2021
is
outlined
in
9a
support
part.
A
C
I
move
that
the
german
heights
city
council
authorized
the
comptroller
to
post
the
following
general
ledger
entries,
including
another
posting
of
336
395.35,
that
will
need
to
be
moved
to
the
fire.
Afg
grant
account
when
posted
by
the
treasurer's
office
and
approved
payment
of
the
zoll
bill,
as
outlined
in
item
9b.
C
101-335-940.080
on
march
3rd,
2021,
26,
625
and
7
cents
on
march,
I'm
sorry
on
may
17
2021,
one
million
four
hundred
and
forty
one
thousand
seven
hundred
and
five
thousand
six
cents
transfer
into
the
payroll
as
they
are
safe
for
payments.
They
are
to
cover
the
partial
cost
of
three
firefighters
on
september,
twenty
first,
two
thousand
twenty
one,
fifty
thousand
six
hundred
and
seventeen
dollars
and
seventy
cents
and
on
may
17
2021.
C
C
C
So
I've
had
some
residents
get
two
people
ask
me
this:
they
get
a
little
bit
confused
with
this
type
of
stuff
when
we
pronounce
these
types
of
budget
changes
where
they
start
to
think
like
we're,
changing
the
budget,
et
cetera
et
cetera,
so
I
think
I'm
not
sure
either
the
mayor,
the
comptroller
or
the
treasurer
should
at
least
just
describe
this
a
little
bit.
These
budget
changes
right
after
the
budget
has
already
been
approved.
L
T
Go
ahead,
please
yeah!
Just
for
this
one.
What
happened
was
money
came
from
a
federal
grant
into
the
cost
recovery
account
and
then,
when
we
went
to
pay
the
bill
they
found
there
wasn't
enough
money
in
the
afg
grants
account
because
they
hadn't
been
transferred.
T
So
this
is
just
to
transfer
the
money,
the
federal
money
that
came
in
over
from
an
income
account
or
to
over
to
an
expense
account,
and
so
that
that
step
just
needed
to
take
place,
and
then
it's
the
same
thing
with
the
safer
payment
it
was
a
federal
money
came
in
and
then
we
need
to
take
it
out
from
the
this
income
account
into
an
expense
account
in
this
case
payroll.
C
I'm
just
trying
to
point
out
so
that
the
residents
know
that
it's
not
a
disagreement
on
the
budget.
The
budget
has
already
been
approved.
This
is
just
tweaks,
I
guess,
if
you
wanna
call
to
the
budget.
P
A
A
G
D
Wait,
excuse
me
he's
right.
There
is
little
confusion.
I
We
missed
one
council
chair,
we're
we're
we're
supposed
to
be
on
hc
and
councilman.
Moby
doom
is
reading
the
correct
one.
G
N
A
G
A
H
Chair
councilman,
constant
we're
on
nine
f.
Yes,.
H
I
moved
that
we
amend
the
2021
expenditures,
as
outlined:
26
266
from
library
fund
balance
to
line
capital
outlay
for
a
vehicle
that
was
approved
by
the
council
in
july
of
2020,
as
outlined
in
9e
report.
A
H
I
move
that
the
following
board
members
is
outlined
in
9f
who
wish
to
remain
on
the
library
advisory
board,
be
reappointed
and
that
tom
once
will
be
appointed
the
council
library
liaison.
Those
members
are
lula,
colon
roy
pilot,
emily
peck,
chris
sullivan
john
zadzikian,
and
the
council
liaison
tom
wenzel
is
outlined
in
9f.
K
Well
yeah,
I
just
want
to
say
what
an
honor
was
to
be
put
on
the
advisory
board
for
the
library.
It's
a
very
good
commission.
Thank
you.
A
C
G
G
A
A
C
Just
want
to
just
for
the
residents
just
to
clarify
this
particular
ordinance,
although
it
has
some
tweaks
and
little
changes,
it's
primarily
the
original
rental
ordinance
where
people
had
to
have
city
inspections
on
properties
that
they
have
rented
out,
so
so
that
we
as
a
city
can
not
only
keep
track
of
rental
properties
but
keep
them
maintained
throughout
the
city.
So
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
people
are
a
little
more
clear
as
to
what
this
is.
Thank
you
thank.
D
Yeah,
I
thank
you,
madam
chair.
I
think
we
should
enforce
this
ordinance
because
there
are
2300
rental
properties.
Lots
of
residents
complain
about
rental
properties
that
they
are
not
maintained
properly
and
some
landlord
or
some
renters.
They
are
not
taking
good
care
of
their
property,
which
affects
the
value
of
the
neighborhood.
K
Yes,
I'd
like
to
concur
with
councilman
abduhak,
plus
I'd
like
to
residents
to
know
that
a
year
or
so
back
when
we
discontinued
this
program,
the
city
lost
out
on
nearly
a
million
dollars
in
fees
to
these
landlords,
face
inspections
and
we'll
be
getting
that
back
as
part
of
our
revenue
for
the
city.
A
Thank
you
next,
I
have
councilman
constant.
Thank
you.
H
Madam
chair
and
yeah,
the
ordinance
really
has
to
be
enforced.
Anybody
who
knows
of
a
rental
on
their
block,
that's
not
registered
as
a
rental.
H
I
think
they
can
call
ordinance
and
or
the
mayor's
office
and
make
sure
there's
a
certificate
of
occupancy
in
the
tenant's
name
after
the
inspection,
and
then
we
also
need
to
address
legislation
pending
and
lansing,
take
away
the
city's
right
to
regulate
and
exclude
somebody
who
rents
their
house
out
for
parties
or
weddings
like
on
sites
like
the
airbnb
and
it's
a
new
problem,
that's
becoming
aware
of
in
our
city.
Thank
you.
A
I
I
move
that
the
dearborn
heights
city
council
adopt
the
city
of
dearborn
heights
resolution
as
follows,
as
outlined
in
11b
now
be
it
resolved
the
honorable
city
council
members
approved
to
change
the
status
of
the
assigned
2
million
for
city
general
government,
retirees
health
care
to
unassigned
statuses.
Under
the
corporate
fund
balance,
it
was
misspelled
in
the
in
the
resolution
yeah
the
resolution
said
unsigned.
It
should
be
unassigned
support.
I
To
make
sure
that
it's
okay
with
our
clerk,
that
we
changed,
that
you
know
that
weren't,
the
last
paragraph
unsigned
to
unassigned.
A
H
I
This
is
the
council
jettison
does
for
police
on
fire.
This
was
a
two
million
dollars
that
we
had
set
aside,
that
the
previous
administration
didn't
want
to
put
tied
out.
They
needed
it
for
cash
flow,
and
this
is
exactly
what
we're
doing
today.
A
D
Thank
you,
madam
chair.
Probably
I
am
the
one
who
was
nagging
about
those
2
million
dollars
for
for
a
while
and
out
of
respect.
When
I
was
a
treasurer
to
john
riley
in
plant
moran,
I
did
not
touch
those
two
million
dollars
and
I
did
not
move
them
to
fund
115
and
divide
them
between
the
two
because
of
the
cash
flow,
and
I
respect
their
professional
opinion.
D
But
right
now
we
have
close
to
three
million
dollars.
I
think
the
fair
payments
by
you
know
by
the
previous
administration
and
the
treasury
department
is
asking
the
city
to
pay
it.
I
think
it
is.
You
know
wise
to
move
this
money
and
to
make
our
payments
on
time.
So
we
do
not
affect
our
rating.
A
P
If
I
would,
I
would
like
all
the
city
council
to
read
the
backup
if
you
read
the
backup
for
this
resolution,
you'll
find
there's
five
different
backup
for
this
resolution.
One
it
tells
you
when
this
money
was
assigned,
it
was
back
in
2016.
L
P
Ram
they
are
the
single
audit
result
and
they
are
under
page
11
and
13
respectively,
stating
the
corporate
fund
balances
for
restricted,
unrestricted
assigned
unassigned
balances.
So
it
tells
you
the
one
that
tells
you
it
was
assigned
in
2016.
The
other
ones
certified
by
landmark
tells
you
still
be
there
june
theory
of
2020..
P
The
other
three
tells
you
that
the
state
asked
us
to
correct
our
status.
We
had
zero
funding
for
the
health
and
care
retirees.
We
had
0
out
of
100
million
dollars
liability,
so
we
had
zero
back
in
2017,
so
the
state
required
us
under
under
the
new
requirement
by
the
treasury
department
to
have
funding
for
our
172
million
dollars
liability.
P
P
P
P
P
A
P
It's
okay!
Let
me
finish.
P
P
P
The
general
government
it
was,
it
was
not,
it
was
not
used
when
we
did
the
agreement
with
the
state
it
was
left,
it
should
have
been
used.
There
is
no
use
for
it
right
now
to
be
under
assigned,
it
need
to
be
unassigned.
Thank
you.
I
encourage
you
to
actually
vote
for
it
and
approve
it.
Thank
you.
Thank.
D
A
C
G
Baidu,
I'm
I'm
looking
at
this
at
the
street
view
on
this.
I
think
this
is
an
amazing
idea.
My
question
is:
why
aren't
we
having
a
stop
sign
on
the
opposite
side,
so
heading
west
on
wilson.
G
And
I
just
want
to
say
I'm
only
asking
and
questioning
on
this,
madam
chairs,
that
my
parents
live
on
the
corner
there.
So
behind
this
corner
house
or
the
stop
sign,
is
my
parents
live
right
behind
it
and
that
this
has
always
been
an
issue
over
here
and
and
I'm
gonna
speak
up
for
you
know
my
parents
or
seniors
in
this
in
the
city
and
it's
dangerous,
there's
people
driving
up
and
down
there
that
are
always
speeding.
Why
don't
we
have
one
across
the
street
now?
F
N
T
A
little
bit
no.
N
No,
actually,
I
would
love
to
be
able
to
answer
that
scientifically.
I
don't
have
that
answer,
because
the
study
wasn't
done
for
that
direction.
N
The
study
came
about
because
of
whether
it
was
accidents,
complaints
or
whatever
at
that
interest
at
that
side
of
wilson,
I'm
trying
to
do
it
off
the
top
of
my
head,
where
the
next
stop
sign
is
on
wilson
for
the
opposite
direction
and
and
I'm
drawing
a
blank
how
how
far
that
is
the
more
stop
signs
we
put
in
the
more
it
interrupts
with
flow
of
traffic,
which
is
sometimes
good.
I
I
would
happily
have
our
traffic
division.
Do
the
traffic
study,
because
that's
what
we
do
anytime,
we
get
in
complaints.
N
The
study
came
in
for
that
that
intersection
in
that
direction.
They
did
their
study
and
they
deemed
it
necessary
to
request
that
signage.
I'm
sure
we're
going
to
see
everybody
in
the
city
would
love
to
see
a
stop
sign
on
every
single
corner,
a
it's
not
feasible
and
b.
We
also
are
trying
to
promote
safe
traffic
patterns
and,
if
we
can
do
it
with
the
least
amount
of
signage,
that's
the
best,
but
if
it
prevents
a
safety
hazard,
we'll
install
them
so
short
version.
A
K
Yeah,
thank
you,
council,
chair.
First
of
all,
I
wanted
to
thank
mayor
bazi
for
the
appointment
of
myself
to
and
the
other
residents
to
the
e
course
crete.
Commission,
it's
a
very
important
commission.
We
plan
on
doing
some
really
great
things
and
I'd
like
to
thank
him
for
trusting
me
and
being
part
of
that
commission.
K
Also
on
behalf
of
myself
and
co-chair
barbara
gorka
of
the
watershed
steward
commission.
K
I
want
to
thank
director
jamal
he
after
years
and
years
of
trying
to
get
this
grant
for
the
course
creek
commissioner
for
the
course
creek
and
the
watershed
stewards
commission
with
no
success.
After
just
mentioning
it
to
him
one
time
he
did
some
investigation
and
he
found
out
that
we
will
be
getting
a
grant
from
eagle
the
marshall
steward
commission,
and
this
is
the
first
time
we've
received
any
money,
all
monies
that
the
equals
creek
commission
or
the
marcia
secure
commission
spent
was
raised
by
the
commissioners.
K
We
didn't
use
any
city
money
at
all.
It
was
all
funding
through
donations
and
because
of
this
and
his
his
is
looking
into
this
I'd
like
to
ask
the
mayor
to
appoint
councilman
jamal
as
a
next
official
or
liaison.
If
you
will,
between
the
the
watershed
steward
commission
and
administration
mayor,
could
you
do
that?
Please.
I
N
We've
passed,
we've
passed
along
over
the
last
year,
just
from
the
the
current
traffic
sergeant.
G
N
N
I
said
I
didn't
want
to
misspeak.
I
know
it
was
two
times
for
sure,
but
it
might
have
been
three
times
and
as
much
as
we
would
love
to
send
them
an
email
every
week
or
try
to
make
a
phone
call.
I
can't
I
can't
make
another
division
act
on
a
request.
N
Sure
I
will
provide
the
contact
that
the
traffic
sergeant's
been
sending
it
to,
and
I
will
see
what
kind
of
bat
swing
the
council
has
and
see
if
they
can
hit
a
home
run
because
on
our.
G
G
And
I
just
want
councilman
musket
to
know,
and
I
can
maybe
I
can
contact
with
him
and
the
chief
I've
also
been
working
with
commissioner
kenizek
and
just
some
people
from
the
state
level
as
well.
My
friend
guido,
who
works
for
the
state.
So
we
are
working
to
try
to
push
that
and
I
I
believe
they
said
that
you
know
they've
reached
they've
received
emails,
so
I
mean
from
what
I've
been
told,
they've
been
looking
into
it.
I
will
reach
out
back
with
her
tomorrow,
I'll
cc,
with
honorary
councilman
if
you'd
like.
I
One
more
item
here:
if
you
don't
mind
council
chair
this
past
week,
my
street
was
swept
by
the
street
sweepers
and
I'm
asking
the
public
to
please
put
your
trash
cans.
Take
them
out
of
the
street
the
yard
waste
out
of
the
street.
I
My
one
of
the
neighbors
and
myself
were
running
up
and
down
the
block
trying
to
get
trash
cans
off
the
street,
so
our
street
could
be
swept
a
little
bit
better
and-
and
I
like
to
see
people
who
pay
to
get
their
lawns
service,
their
lawns
mode
to
have
their
lawn
people
that
that
do
it
trim
and
edge
around
the
trees
and
fence
lines.
I
I
mean
I
see
this,
I'm
getting
ready
to
take
my
weed
whacker
up
and
down
wilson
and
start
weed
whacking
around
all
the
trees
and
and
utility
poles.
It's
not
getting
done
and
it
just
looks
horrible.
So
just
those
two
items
just
a
little
food
for
thought
for
everybody.
So
I.
I
D
L
F
Okay,
man
and
chair
head
counsel,
I'm
treasurer
hicks
clayton.
Thank
you.
So
I
send
a
spreadsheet
to
the
council
members
on
the
21
bond
construction
project.
You
should
have
that
information.
If
you
don't
I'm
happy
to
send
that
to
you
again,
let
me
see
if
I
can
pull
it
up
right
now
with
those
balances,
because
that
bond
was
just
purchased
and
sold
back
in
april
so
hold
on.
Let
me
have
a
vote
up,
but
I
did
send
that
to
everybody
to
answer
your
question
about
the
over
captured
3.8.
F
So
there's
that,
but
right
now
that
balance
on
that
bond
is-
and
this
is
with
expenditures
that
you
have
just
approved
tonight
with
the
current
claims
you're
looking
at
twenty
two
million-
eight
hundred
thirty
nine
thousand
eight
hundred
eighty
nine
dollars
and
one
cents.
So
that's
what
I
have
in
my
spreadsheet
and
that
includes
all
expenditures,
including
there's
some
reimbursement
items
that
are
going
to
be
great
for
the
city
from
previous
part
of
this
cso
project.
It
dates
back
in
august.
F
D
F
Oh,
yes,
I
have
the
payment
schedule,
I
just
received
it
so
I
have.
L
F
Working
through
it
now
and
I'm
merging
it
into
the
scheduled
debt
payment
you're
familiar
with
it,
you've
seen
it
yes,.
D
Thank
you,
madam
chair.
I
have
a
couple
more
items
fast
sure
previous
administration
made
a
deal
with
the
one
of
the
unions
that
they
will
let
four
people
work
part-time
and
they
will
not.
You
know
basically
complain
about
them
and
they
have.
I
saw
their
names
when
I
was
in
the
treasury
department.
D
Why
don't
we
reach
to
the
administration
reach
to
the
the
union
and
see
if
they
will
allow
two
or
three
people
to
work
in
the
ordinance
without
any
complaint,
and
with
agreement
with
the
with
those
people
on
the
in
the
union
like
they
agreed
on
those
four
people
to
be
exempted.
M
We
actually
thank
you.
Thank
you,
council
allah,
I
mean
I'm
sorry,
sir
you'll.
M
Yeah,
okay,
anyway,
so
we
are
in
discussion
with
with
the
union
about
some
other
other
things,
so
we
asked
the
union
actually
to
present
their
contract
to
us
so
myself
and
our
hr
director
we
should.
We
should
be
having
a
meeting
with
them
soon
to
go
through
the
whole
contract.
M
We
got
a
lot,
a
lot
of
issues
to
resolve
and
right
now
we're
we
just
opened
the
negotiations
with
them,
so
we
we
should
be
meeting
with
them.
Probably
the
next,
like
maybe
a
couple
of
weeks,
two
to
three
weeks.
Q
M
I
mean
I'm
sorry
contour.
D
Thank
you.
My
last
question
is
probably
for
mr
mayatki.
The
charter.
Did
he
do
any
anything
on
how
we
can
review
some
items
on
the
chart.
U
Can
you
hear
me?
Yes,
we.
U
Very
good
I've
had
problems
with
the
office
computer,
sometimes
in
that
regard,
so
no,
I
have
been
waiting
for
us
to
schedule
up
the
study
session.
That
was
my
understanding
of
where
we
were
left
off
and
then
we
were.
I
was
going
to
make
a
presentation
during
a
study
session
in
terms
of
the
overview
and
then
talk.
D
The
madam
can
do
marvel's
she
she'll.
Do
it
very.
A
On
a
non
meeting
week
that
way,
we
if
we
we
can
take
as
much
time
as
we
need.
A
A
Okay,
councilman
abdulhap.
H
Thank
you,
madam
chair.
I
hope
everyone
had
a
peaceful
memorial
day
holiday
with
their
family
and
that
we
all
remembered
our
servicemen
and
women
who
made
the
ultimate
sacrifice
residents
like
joshua
brown,
who
went
overseas
to
iraq
and
was
killed
and
whose
monument
is
in
front
of
our
city
hall.
God
rest
his
soul.
H
I'd
like
to
ask
the
mayor
about
so
john
selmey
I'd
like
to
thank
him
for
his
service
to
our
dpw.
He
was
doing
a
great
job
and
just
know
if
there's
any
thought
on
his
replacement.
If
it's
going
to
happen
later
or
if
the
city's
conducting
a
search,
and
then
I
just
want
to
remind
everyone
we're
getting
their
fourth
of
july,
we
don't
need
to
be
setting
off
fireworks.
H
M
Yeah,
yes,
the
chair,
so
thanks
for
the
question
consummate
constant,
so
we
we
interviewed
several
people
already
and
we
have
an
offer.
We
put
an
offer
so
once
we
get
the
formal
documents,
then
we'll
announce
it
at
the
next
council
meeting.
Thank
you
mayor.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank.
F
Yep
all
right
back
and
forth
with
each
other.
Sorry
about
that.
Thank
you,
okay.
Actually,
my
comment
was
something
that
councilman
must
get
asked
about,
which
was
the
gully
and
ford.
The
left
turns
lights
submitted
to
mdot,
and
I
was
going
to
offer
senator
alexander's
office
because
we
have
liaisons
for
each
state
department.
We
can
actually
can't
submit
that
and
that
will
help
elevate
it
a
little
quicker
to
get
an
update
and
move
it
along.
So
I
just
wanted
to
offer
that
that's
all
and
I'll
get
with
the
police
tomorrow.
I
G
M
Thank
you,
council
chair,
so
I
just
want
to
give
the
residents
on
the
council
an
update
on
gfl,
so
our
emergency
manager,
gavin,
was
in
communication
today
with
gfl
management.
So
there
was
about
43
calls
40,
43
sick
calls
from
drivers
that
actually
called
in
sick
and
we've
gotten.
We've
received
that
I
can't
even
count
the
amount
of
calls
that
we
received
here
in
the
mayor's
office
between
myself,
emergency
manager,
gavin
also,
my
chief
of
staff,
and
also
with
stephanie
and
plus
the
dpw.
M
We
they
received
over
100,
something
calls
so
basically,
they've
got
a
lot
of
sick
calls
from
drivers
and
that's
one
of
the
reasons
that
they
missed
routes
and
the
city
of
dearborn
heights
is
not
the
only
one.
That's
having
issues.
M
City
of
dearborn
also
had
same
concerns
in
the
last
few
days,
so
I
just
wanted
to
let
you
guys
know
that
that's
the
status
of,
and
I
want
to
update
the
residents
and
also
consoles.
So
if
anybody
calls
you
that's
basically
what
the
issue
is
people
calling
in
sick
to
gfl,
they
can't
get
enough
drivers.
M
The
other
thing
is,
I
want
to
commend
at
the
commencement
this
saturday
we
have
some
police
officers
sergeant
well,
sergeants
ran
officer,
bacher
officer
officer,
hamza
and
officer
ayub.
At
the
commencement
I've
I've
witnessed.
There
was
a
an
issue.
There
was
a
little
bit
of
like
almost
a
scuffle
and
they
actually
intervened.
They
came
in.
There
was
some
students
that
came
in
from
they
were
not
graduating,
but
they
were
from
came
in
from
the
outside
and
they
missed.
There
was
a
little
bit
of
disruption
and
these
police
officers.
M
They
were
very
professional,
the
way
they
handled
the
situation,
they
defuse
the
situation
and
they
escorted
the
individuals
off
the
court
without
disrupting
that
graduation
ceremony.
So
I
commend
those
police
officers
also,
I
want
to
let
the
council
know
that
we
submitted
the
documents
for
the
american
rescue
plan,
we're
hoping
to
have
something
at
the
next
next
council
meeting.
M
We
did.
I
did
my
office
myself
actually
signed
a
document
today
with
department
of
treasury
for
the
corona
virus,
the
local
fiscal
recovery
and
fund
award
and
terms
and
conditions,
so
I
did
sign
it
and
submitted
it
to
the
treasury's
office
today.
Also
a
couple
things
with
the
fire
department.
I
want
to
compliment.
You
know
some
of
the
firefighters
are
for
receiving.
You
know
letters
of
appreciations,
lieutenant
amore,
firefighter
walter.
M
M
We
have
also
captain
the
adonis,
the
dantas
captain
beer,
lieutenant
amore,
lieutenant
dunham,
lieutenant
spitz.
I
I
think
that's
how
it's
pronounced
pump
operator
campbell
pump,
the
pump
operator,
dion
pump
operator
flynn,
also
firefighter
chapman,
firefighter
lapkovitch,
firefighter
human
firefighter,
goldbrite
and
firefighter
levotic
level.
To
your.
I
think.
That's
french,
and
also
I
had
the
honor
to
be
president
chief
brogan,
actually
organized
something
with
a
resident
some
one
of
the
residents.
M
Her
husband
was
about
a
wheelchair,
and
so
he
was
in
a
hospital
and
I
guess
they
didn't
have
wheelchair
access
to
their
home,
so
the
fire
chief
and
his
team
of
firefighters.
I
don't
know
if
he
wants
to
recognize
those
firefighters.
They
actually
built
a
handicap
ramp.
It
was
they.
They
took
their
own
money,
their
own
wood,
everything
it
didn't,
cost
the
city
anything,
but
they
took
it
out
of
their.
M
You
know
out
of
their
money
out
of
stuff
that
they
brought
from
home,
they
built
a
beautiful
ramp
and
they
installed
it
at
the
residence
garage.
I
tell
you
I
was
present
at
that
location
and
it
was
very
heartwarming
that
the
resident
was
pretty
much
in
tears
and
it
was
very
heartwarming
to
see
the
firefighters
interact
with
residents.
I'd
like
for
the
chief
roger
actually
to
recognize
those
firefighters.
They
really
did
go
away
and
above
for
this,
for
this
resident.
M
T
Guys
comment
on
that.
Just
just
thank
you
for
the
acknowledgement
and
it
was
lieutenant
gary
spizz.
It
was
his
idea.
Sir
libraries
had
been
out
there
and
gary
took
it
upon
himself.
He
he's
he
does
a
lot
of
that
kind
of
work
on
his
own,
so
he
had
some
wood
at
it
and
we
know
how
expensive
wood
is
now,
but
he
had
some.
T
He
had
some
wood
at
his
house,
and
so
he
brought
it
in
and
built
the
ramp
at
the
station
and
it's
built
in
such
a
way
that
can
be
moved
and
it's
kind
of
a
temporary
thing
where
he
built
it
to
fit
right
over
the
stairway
in
the
garage
so
yeah.
It
was
a
really
good
job.
V
Good
evening,
everyone
I
just
wanted
to
give
you
a
few
updates
on
some
of
the
smaller
grants
that
we
have.
So
I
wanted
to
congratulate
both
the
police
department
and
the
fire
department,
in
particular
lisa
martin
and
gary
voyles.
They
just
got
one
grant
for
the
police
department
for
access
control
upgrade
and
two
grants
for
the
fire
department
for
a
power
load
system
upgrade
as
well
as
thermal
imaging
camera.
V
So
thank
you
for
the
hard
work
on
that
this
grants
are
due
to
expire
on
december
of
this
year,
so
I'm
pretty
sure
that
they
will
continue
and
follow
through
with
this
project,
but
as
a
small
congratulations
to
them.
Even
though
they're
smaller
grants
they're
still
very
appreciated
for
the
city.
I
also
wanted
to
thank
all
of
the
people
that
came
out
last
saturday
for
the
rain
garden.
V
In
particular,
I
wanted
to
give
a
shout
out
to
the
library
director
michael
mccaffrey
and
two
of
his
librarians,
who
not
only
helped
us
with
the
rainbow
garden
but
also
went
around
city
hall
and
helped
us
clean
some
of
the
flower
beds
that
we
had
there
and
do
some
maintenance
on
our
gardening.
So,
thank
you
very
much.
It
was
a
great
event
and
it
was
hot
and
it
was
very
appreciated
that
everybody
was
out
there
coming
together
as
a
community.
A
Next,
I
have
madame
clerk
go
ahead,
please
good
evening.
This
is
going
to
be
really
brief.
Just
wanted
everyone
to
know
that
we
have
absentee
ballot
applications
available
at
city
hall.
The
permanent
absentee
ballot
applications
were
mailed
out
last
thursday.
You
know
I
got
mine
on
monday,
so
there
you
should
have
received
them.
D
A
Councilman
abdelhach
you're
absolutely
correct.
I
contacted
the
printer
today
because
we
noticed
that
upon
the
proof
we
rejected
that
proof
and
they
were
supposed
to
put
that
down
as
2021,
and
I
don't
know
what
happened
but,
like
I
said
I've
been
in
contact
with
the
printer,
it
does
not
make
them.
It
does
not
make
a
difference
because
it
says
for
all
future
elections.
Yes,
2021
would
be
the
future.
So
it
was
a
printer
error
and
I
can
update
you
if
you
want
me
to
once.
I
hear
back
from
them.
Oh.
A

from
1
to
4
p.m,
at
jfk
library
and
saturday
june
26th
from
1
to
4
p.m.
At
carolyn
kennedy
library,
we
will
be
kicking
off
our
family
summer
activity
program
with
a
grab-and-go
drive-through.
S
We
will
be
giving
away
books,
craft
supplies,
crafts,
small
hope,
boxes,
glow,
sticks,
tattoos
and
much
more.
Other
departments,
including
the
police,
fire
administration
officials
and
treasurer
will
be,
will
be
there
as
well,
should
be
a
blast.
That's
all
for
now,
thanks
for
your
time
and
see
you
at
the
library.
Thank
you.
Next.
U
Yes,
madam
chair
gary
mayaki,
dearborn
heights
corporation
council,
plainfield
street
dearborn
heights
michigan.
I
just
wanted
to
give
a
little
bit
of
an
update
based
on
what
mayor
bazi
was
saying
before
about
the
gfl
issues.
U
I
would
note
that
my
family
and
I
have
been
affected
by
these
issues
as
well.
Our
trash
still
hasn't
been
collected,
and
I
wanted
to
make
sure
that
everyone
knew
that
the
mayor-
and
I
have
discussed
this
issue
earlier
today
and
he's
committed-
and
I
am
committed
to
ensuring
that
gfl
provides
the
required
levels
of
services
and
is
also
held
to
account
for
its
failure
to
do
so
to
the
degree
that
it
can
be
so
held
accountable
under
the
contract.
U
And
so
if
anyone
has
any
questions
with
respect
to
this,
please
feel
free
to
contact
me,
namely
from
city
officials.
Of
course,
if
members
of
the
public
have
to
register
a
complaint
or
need
to,
let
people
in
the
city
know
what's
happening
with
respect
to
them.
They
should,
of
course,
call
the
mayor's
office
or
the
tpw.
C
Madam
chair,
I
I
had
my
hand
raised
during
the
council
session,
so
I'm
not
trying
to
take
up
anybody's
time,
but
two
things
I
want
to
bring
up.
I
know
at
this
particular
point
we're
going
to
have
a
new
dpw
director,
whoever
it
is
they're
gonna
have
some
big
shoes
to
fill,
because
john
selmey
did
an
absolutely
great
job
and
I'm
really
sorry
to
see
him
go,
but
he's
he
found
a
better
situation
for
himself
and
his
family,
and
I
wish
him
nothing
but
the
best.
C
C
and
I
do
know
almost
to
a
fact
that
the
city
does
not
pick
and
choose
which
streets
like
you
know.
We're
gonna
do
this
side
of
town,
not
that
side
of
town,
these
two
streets,
not
those
four
streets
but
yeah,
there's
a
lot
of
residents
that
feel
that
their
streets
are
not
done
and
at
the
time
I
had
suggested
that
it
be
put
on
the
website
every
time
they
do
particular
streets.
What
dates
doesn't
have
to
be
time,
but
at
least
what
dates
that
they've
been
done.
C
I
think
it'd
be
a
very
good
idea
mayor
for
you
to
work
on
that
and
I'd
appreciate
it
with
whoever
the
next
dpw
director
is
because
I'd
ask
for
that
about
a
year
ago,
also,
so
that
residents
can
look
up
and
see
that
their
streets
have
been
done.
The
second
issue
I
have-
and
this
is
one
for
the
police
chief,
lots
and
lots
of
complaints
on
a
regular
basis
about
speeding,
revving
up
engines,
peeling
off,
etc,
etc.
I
do
know
there's
always
so
many
so
many
police
officers
that
you
put
on
the
road.
C
I
totally
understand
and
respect
that,
and
I
do
know
that
our
police
officers
are
doing
the
best
they
can.
But
it's
a
it
is
a
an
ongoing
problem.
Getting
worse
and
worse
and
worse
with
some
of
these
faster
and
faster
and
faster
cars
are
being
are
getting
on
the
road
and-
and
I
just
like
to
see
some
more
focus
on
that.
If
we
can
thank
you.
A
Thank
you
is
that
it
for
public
announcements.
Anybody
else
have
a
public
announcement
chief
myers
go
ahead.
Please.
N
Yeah,
thank
you,
council,
chair,
just
as
a
response
to
councilman
abdullah.
I
would
I
would
love
to
have
a
police
officer
for
every
corner
for
every
street
for
every
stop
sign.
What
are
we
doing?
So,
that's
better,
probably
of
saying
that
we
can't
fix
the
problem.
What
are
we
trying
to
do
to
make
it
better
four
or
five
things
that
we've
done
so
far?
We've
opened
up
our
traffic
safety
program.
It
was
restricted
for
a
considerable
amount
of
time.
N
Not
everybody
is
a
fan
of
our
traffic
safety
program,
but
that
is
what
keeps
our
streets
safe
and
what,
when
it
was
down,
it
contributed
to
speeds
being
up
and
the
aggressive
driving
being
up.
We've
increased
it
now
to
focus
on
that
4
pm
to
4
am
time
period,
allowing
officers
to
come
in
and
provide
traffic
safety
at
their
discretion.
N
We
have
reached
out
between
the
state
police,
the
wayne
county,
sheriff's
and
the
neighboring
jurisdictions
we're
all
trying
to
work
with
our
courts
with
our
prosecutors
to
if
we
get
somebody
driving
recklessly
or
drag
racing
to
make
sure
that
they're
prosecuted,
we
are
working
as
a
region
to
address
this
issue,
to
give
you
the
violation
numbers
we're
in
the
hundreds,
six,
probably
five,
six
hundred
violations
just
in
that
ford
road
beach,
daily
telegraphed
warren
area
through
this
year,
that
that's
a
tremendous
amount
and
we're
not
even
talking
the
side
streets.
N
And
then,
if
you
go
on
social
media,
if
you
hear
the
chat
rooms
every
corner,
every
stop
sign
in
our
city
is
having
the
same
problems,
we're
addressing
them.
We're
doing
it
with
the
manpower
that
we
have
and
we'll
continue
to
put
forth
plans
to
curb
this.
But
as
a
community,
we
have
to
tell
our
friends
we
have
to
tell
our
neighbors.
We
have
to
tell
our
relatives
enough
is
enough,
let's
monitor
ourselves
and
get
our
friends,
family,
children
and
parents
to
start
following
these
traffic
laws.
A
I
Yeah,
if
I
can
kindly
ask
them,
you
know
one
time
I
said
if
I
could
take
a
picture
of
someone's
license
plate
and
they
said
it
doesn't
fly,
but
why?
Why
can
someone
use
like
say
their
their
ring
doorbell
when
they
catch
someone
stealing
something
and
they
can
prosecute
someone
that
way?
What's
the
difference,
if
I
take
a
picture
of
a
car
or
or.
J
I
Speeding
down
the
street,
we
should
be
able
to
try
to
do
something
because
you
know
I
got
kids
living
across
the
street
from
me
and
the
the
the
gentleman
was
irate
at
these
people.
Speeding
up
down
the
street
that
one
day
they
can
hit
their
kids,
and
I
just
you
know
we
need
to
do
something,
and
I
don't
know.
I
N
So
I'm
going
to
give
you
the
unlegal
answer
and
I'm
sure
corporation
council
miyaki
can
chime
in
with
the
lead.
N
Chief,
when
you're
talking
about
crimes
like
theft
or
assault
or
malicious
destruction
of
I'm
sorry
or
malicious
destruction
of
property,
you're
talking
about
a
misdemeanor
when
it
comes
to
civil
infractions
and
traffic.
So
those
are
your
total
infractions
has
to
be
witnessed
by
the
officer.
The
misdemeanor
there's,
a
different
set
of
rules
and
legal
statutes
standards
and
that's
the
the
simple
version
corporation
council
will
probably
give
you
the
legalese
of
it.
But
every
circumstance
has
a
unique
requirement
of
what
needs
to
be
observed
and
by
who,
and
as
for.
A
U
Well,
he
basically
covered
it,
namely
chief
myers
covered
it,
but
it
unless
an
officer
actually
witnesses
it
or
it's
based
on
an
accident
and
the
the
investigation
of
the
accident
or
there's
an
investigation
regarding
municipal
civil
infractions.
Civil
infractions
require
the
person
to
be
actually
witnessed
by
the
person
who
issues
the.
A
A
Before
I
go
on,
I
want
to
repeat
that
if
you've
already
spoke
once
we
don't
allow
you
to
come
a
second
time,
and
I,
if
you
raise
your
hand
when
I
lower
it
I've
already
written
you
on
the
list,
it's
not
necessary
to
continue
to
raise
it
at
this
time.
I
have
latonya
gator
go
ahead.
Please.
R
Thank
you,
council,
terry.
I
know
that
message
was
for
me.
Sometimes
I
struggle
with
trying
to
get
let
into
the
meeting,
but
I'll
pay
attention
better.
Next
time,
no
problem,
hi
everybody,
I'm
latanya,
gator,
calling
in
from
dearborn
heights,
michigan,
madison
and
powers.
R
For
those
who
need
a
bit
of
education,
juneteenth
is
liberation
and
freedom
day
for
the
african-american
community,
and
what
it's
about
is
that,
two
years
after
the
emancipation
proclamation,
some
enslaved
texans
finally
realized
and
were
told
that
they
were
free
from
slavery,
and
that
is
how
they
celebrate
it
with
food
with
love
with
support
with
music,
and
that
is
exactly
what
we're
having
at
our
juneteenth
event.
R
A
P
Thank
you.
I
just
want
to
share
one
one
event.
Coming
up:
it's
a
john
ventura
event:
it's
called
business
business
bit
a
small
business
grant
and
loan
workshop
between
wayne
county
and
the
city
of
dearborn
heights.
P
That
particular
one
I
just
received
it
now.
So
I'm
sorry
it
is
1
p.m,
to
4
p.m.
On
june
15
of
this
month
at
the
gilbert
heights,
caroline
kennedy
library,
so
director
mcafee,
are
you
aware
of
this?
If
not,
we
can
share
with
you
later
on,
so
you
can
put
the
brochure
I
just
received
that
so
we
will
be
involved
in
this,
because
there
is
a
great
deal
of
small
business
money
coming
with
this
ar
pa
grant
it.
P
We
we
may
be
able
to
partner
with
some
small
business
in
the
city.
We
don't
know
already
yet
nobody
knows
the
details
of
the
arpa
right
now
when
we
have
all
the
details
we'll
make
it
we'll
make
it
available
for
all
of
you.
A
J
J
A
A
A
Did
you
want
me
to
read
that
yeah
go
ahead?
Okay,
this
is
public
comments
at
regular,
special
council
meetings.
Members
of
the
public
shall
have
a
reasonable
opportunity
to
be
heard
at
any
regular
meeting
of
the
council
or
at
any
special
meeting
of
the
council
on
matters
within
the
council's
jurisdiction.
A
A
The
procedure
for
addressing
the
council
during
the
comment
section
of
public
comments
shall
be
as
follows:
any
member
of
the
public
who
wants
to
address
the
council
shall
begin
doing
so
by
stating
his
or
her
name
the
street.
He
or
she
lives
on
and
the
municipality
in
which
he
or
she
resides
he
or
she
shall
have
up
to
three
minutes
to
address
the
council.
F
A
O
Thank
you
kindly
tom
wesley
here,
I'm
on
silvery
lane
here
in
denver
heights.
First,
thank
you
for
your
time
and
on
this
evening
and,
of
course,
all
of
their
service
to
our
city.
I
wanted
to
speak
to
you
all
the
council,
the
mayor
and
my
neighbors
today
to
ask
you
to
consider
an
lgbtq
pride
month
ordinance.
O
You
may
have
seen
that
the
president,
joe
biden,
has
recognized
june
as
pride
month
at
a
federal
level.
Governor
whitmer
has
done
so
at
a
state
level
and
a
multitude
of
city
governments
across
the
local
area
have
been
doing
so
as
well,
and
I
wanted
to
implore
our
own
city
to
consider
adopting
such
a
resolution
just
real
quickly.
O
The
purpose
of
such
a
resolution
is
just
to
bring
light
to
lesbian,
gay,
bisexual,
transgender,
queer
and
we
say
lgbtq
plus,
because
there's
a
lot
of
identities
and,
of
course
the
alphabet
could
go
on
so
lgbtq
plus
individuals
here
in
the
city-
and
I
also
want
to
at
that
same
time
say
thank
you
to
those
who
who
did
put
on
the
event
this
weekend.
I
didn't
actually
make
it
myself,
but
seeing
it
warm
my
heart
a
lot.
O
So
thank
you
for
that.
So
this
is
just
about
recognizing
those
who
have
been
historically
marginalized
here
and
saying
you
know
what
we're
welcome
here
now.
City
of
denver
heights
welcomes
everyone,
regardless
of
race,
religion,
sexual
orientation,
everyone's
welcome
here.
So
I
have
a
sample
text
that
the
organizers
who
were
doing
the
pride
resolutions
in
macon
county
had
offered
up
and
I'd
be
happy
to
email
it
to
whomever
is
appropriate
to
do
so.
But
again
I
just
want
to
advocate
on
behalf
of
this
community
and
thank.
A
You
thank
you
very
much.
Next,
I
have
latonya.
R
R
We
as
a
commission
are
doing
great
things
for
the
city
to
help
the
city
be
more
culturally
friendly,
diverse
and
competent,
and
we
are
realizing
that
in
order
to
do
this
work
and
to
reach
more
residents
that
we
are
in
need
of
a
budget,
the
past
administration
informed
us
that
there
is
a
budget
for
commissions.
It
was
communicated
that
it
was
a
thousand
dollars
on
a
first-come,
first-served
basis,
and
I
am
under
the
impression
that,
since
the
new
administration
is
in
place,
maybe
that
has
changed,
and
so
as
chairperson.
R
R
We
do
not
have
a
budget,
we
do
keep
excel
sheets
in
our
g
drive
that
all
of
the
commissioners
have
access
to,
and
I
am
willing
to
work
with
corporate
counsel,
gary
niaki
and
treasurer
elisa
x-clayton
to
make
sure
that
we
are
doing
exactly
what
we
need
to
do.
But
I
do
recommend
that
this
process
is
not
strenuous,
because
this
is
a
volunteer
commission
and
we
don't
want
anyone
to
feel
so
stressed
out
that
they
resign.
Thank
you
very
much,
and
I
hope
that
you
all
have
a
great
day.
We.
L
L
My
public
comment
is
on
the
same
thing
that
mr
gator
just
spoke
about,
but
from
a
different
perspective,
the
biggest
issue
that
I
have
with
the
miscommunication
related
to
the
commission
having
a
budget
and
other
commissions
having
the
budget
and
then
also
the
fundraising
protocol,
is
that
the
commission
has
been
up
and
running
again
for
almost
a
year
now
and
we've
made
it
a
priority
to
come
to
these
city
council
meetings
and
speak
during
public
announcements
and
public
comments
to
talk
about
the
fundraisers.
L
We're
doing
talk
about
the
community
events
that
we're
doing,
and
it
was
very
disheartening
to
hear
about
the
fundraising
protocol
for
commissions
in
the
middle
of
our
planning
commission
for
a
juneteenth
event
and
then
again
at
our
general
membership
meeting
in
front
of
the
public,
considering
this
body,
whether
it
was
the
treasurer
mayor
or
council.
Anyone
who
had
questions
regarding
our
events
or
fundraising
has
had
apple
opportunity
to
talk
to
us
because
we're
here
almost
every
meeting
and
we're
involved
residents
as
individual
people,
so
anyone
could
have
picked
the
phone
and
called
us.
L
I
think
it
was
tacky
and
unprofessional
to
do
it
at
our
meeting,
and
I
would
like
something
in
writing
on
city
letterhead
that
outlines
what
every
commission
is
supposed
to
follow
when
it
comes
to
fundraising
and
when
it
comes
to
throwing
events,
and
if
there
is
a
budget,
how
did
other
people
use
it
in
the
past?
Have
everybody
have
every
commission
always
had
the
fundraise,
and
why
is
it
different
now
that
we
have
a
cultural
commission,
it
just
seems
convenient.
I
will
leave
it
at
that
and
yield
the
rest
of
my
time.
D
No,
but
I
have
some
suggestion
first,
I
would
like
mr
mayaki
to
tell
us
if
there
is
any
things
in
our
charter
or
any
ordinances
which
allow
us
to
fund
that
commission
and
if
there
is,
I
would
appreciate
it.
If
it
comes
in
front
of
us,
you
know
to
either
approve
it
or
disapprove
it.
The
second
thing
I
would
recommend
to
my
friend
on
this
commission
to
start
do
barbecues
in
connection
with
hype
and
elite
sport.
D
R
Yes,
I
just
wanted
to
make
a
comment
based
on
councilman
of
the
hawks
comment.
We
are
fundraising.
We
fundraise
this
past
sunday
and
this
upcoming
sunday
we're
selling,
sell
food
dinners
from
my
house.
It's
been
circulating
on
facebook
for
almost
a
month
now,
so
we
do
agree
with
you
that
we,
we
should
fundraise
I've,
also
emailed
ali
saeed
the
hype
athletic
director
to
partner
with
him
on
the
multicultural
event
that
will
be
happening
in
august.
So
thank
you
for
your
suggestions
and
we
are
on
top
of
it.
You're.
D
G
Oh,
madam
cheer,
I
did
I
just
wanted
to
say:
latonya
took
it
from
me,
but
if,
if
councilman
abdulheck
has
that
great
idea,
I
can
even
reach
out
to
a
local
meat
market,
donate
the
meat
I'll
have
councilman
up
the
heck
flip.
The
burgers
add
the
cheese
I'll.
W
Good
evening,
dana
parish
greenlee
park
street
dearborn
heights
michigan
good
evening.
Everyone.
W
I
wanted
to
say
I
had
an
ordinance
complaint
a
couple
of
years
old.
Actually
it
was
about
a
home
on
hanover,
it's
actually
a
rental
property
with
an
in-ground
pool
and
I
want
to
say
an
awesome
job
by
the
ordinance
department.
W
There
was
no
lock
or
anything
on
the
gate
and
there's
actually
a
self
closer
on
the
gate
right
now,
so
I
want
to
say
an
awesome
job
to
the
ordnance
department.
In
that
same
vein,
I
heard
complaints.
I
haven't
been
attending
the
meetings,
but
I
watched
every
single
meeting.
W
I
heard
complaints
at
the
budget
special
meetings
about
the
ordinance
department
director
when
the
raise
came
up.
W
Some
of
the
things
that
I
heard
were
the
city's
been
getting
bad
for
the
past
10
years,
so
the
or
the
outlook
of
the
city,
some
of
the
some
of
the
blight
and
things
like
that
in
the
city,
have
been
getting
bad
for
the
last
10
years.
W
W
Give
the
current
director
a
little
bit
of
time.
Give
him
your
support.
He
may
not
be
perfect,
but
you
gotta
give
him
a
chance.
You
can't
put
the
heat
on
him
to
correct
something
that
has
been
out
there
for
a
little
while
ten
years,
according
to
at
least
one
one
council.
Member
one
thing
I
can
I
can
suggest-
and
I
tried
to
suggest
to
the
previous
administration-
was:
we've
got
all
these
different
directions
where
complaints
come
in,
we've
got
a
bsna
system.
W
You
can
do
many
things
with
that
system,
and
one
of
them
is
facebook
phone
calls.
All
these
other
means
things
come
in,
get
them
all
so
they're
all
funneled
into
one
direction
and
their
input
through
bsna,
so
they
all
be
done
in
one
direction.
Instead
of
having
all
these
things
come
in
one
direction
and
get
re-typed
in
it's
asking
for
mistakes,
I
think
that's
probably
where
things
came
in
the
past:
switching
directions.
Chief
myers
and
I
talked
about
a
program
through
email.
Thank
you,
chief
for
listening.
Your
officers
are
going
to
appreciate
it.
W
It's
about
that
peer
support
program
that
we
talked
about.
Thank
you
very
much
chief.
I
appreciate
that.
The
the
last
thing
that
I
wanted
to
say
is
that
the
the
home
at
5666
greenlee
park.
That's
a
cap
program
house,
director
gavin.
Maybe
you
can
discuss
that
it's
been
decades
since
that
that
dump
it's
been
there
city
owns
it.
What's
the
status
on
that.
L
Q
Q
I
even
personally
shoveled
the
sidewalk
one
day,
so
we're
gonna
look
at
that
and
see
what
we
can
get
going
once
we
get
rid
of
our
present
cap
homes,
we're
looking
at
putting
that
on
some
type
of
a
list
to
you
know
auction
that
off.
W
Okay
sure,
because
it's
it's
they're
cutting
the
grass
but
they're
cutting
around
where
brush
is
falling
down
and
the
weeds
are
eight
feet
tall
again
behind
the
garage
again,
six
or
eight
feet
tall
around
the
brush
that
that's
been
falling
down
and
it's
pretty
bad.
The
garage
is
about
to
fall
down
as
well.
Thank
you,
sir.
J
I
finally
got
it
to
work,
and
I
thank
you,
nancy
breyer
on
colgate
street
durban
heights
wayne
county
and
I
have
two
issues:
one
with
gfl,
we're
having
issues
with
the
location
for
the
carts.
The
residents
don't
seem
to
know
they're
supposed
to
be
on
the
easement
or
in
the
driveway.
J
I
think
it's
time
that
we
send
out
a
new
notice,
either
through
gfl
or
our
letterhead
as
to
what
the
new
rules
or
old
rules
regulations
really
are
in
the
second
item,
I'm
glad
that
you
guys
have
taken
up
the
cfo
issues
with
landlords
on
my
particular
block.
We
have
seven
rental
houses.
J
X
Yeah,
I
might
have
like
just
like
musket,
but
I
don't
have
those
digs
he's
got
you
see
that
that
lake
he's
on
I
mean
that's
just
something
else
anyway,
I
need.
I
should
have
turned
my
air
around
I'm
just
dying
here
anyway.
I
lived
here
38
years.
My
career
background
was
that
of
a
health
care
analyst
five
years
of
those
was
in
medical
research.
X
Five
years
ago
my
wife
was
forced
to
get
vaccinated
at
henry
ford
hospital
as
a
worker
the
other
month
I
just
heard
a
friend
of
mine.
He
was
forced
to
get
vaccinated
at
work,
so
hopefully
I'm
just
being
proactive
here,
but
but
I
I
think
people
should
have
a
right
to
choose.
X
So
I
did
some
research
on
this
and
I
did
a
video
which
has
been
viewed
3
500
times
already.
It's
called
mandatory
jabs
passports
and
the
new
era
of
no
voice,
no
choice.
If
you
just
google,
the
title
you'll
find
it,
it's
been
watched
all
around
the
world.
X
Secondly,
I
encourage
my
fellow
citizens
throughout
the
us
and
the
world
to
come
before
their
city
councils,
as
I
am
today
and
demand
the
passage
of
four
actions.
I
I
hope
they're
really
not
required
at
all,
but
whatever
I'm
asking
possibly
the
city
council
can
be
in
a
special
session
to
discuss
the
mrna
roll
out
what
most
refer
to
as
the
cove
vaccine,
or
simply
pass
a
council
resolution
to
do
the
following
four
things
and
I
hope
they
aren't
necessary,
but
no
forced
vaccination
of
our
teachers
or
students
to
teach
or
attend
our
schools.
X
X
Basically,
our
bodies
are
choice.
I'll
just
mention
I'll
make
it
quick,
but
I'll
mention
a
couple
facts
here.
Nearly
four
000
americans
have
died
from
this
injection
in
just
the
last
six
months,
which
is
more
than
all
the
vaccine
deaths
in
the
last
20
years.
This
comes
from
the
vares
database,
michael
yeden,
pfizer's
former
vice
president
chief
scientist
for
allergy
and
respiratory
disease
has
recently
demanded
that
the
injection
rollout
be
stopped
because
of
the
effects
of
the
spike
proteins
on
human
health.
X
M
E
Thank
you,
madam
chair.
I
raised
my
hand
during
the
announcements,
but
I
got
passed
over
inadvertently.
I
believe
so.
E
Okay,
I
appreciate
it,
I'm
speaking
as
the
ordinance
enforcement
animal
control
director.
I
just
wanted
to
make
a
few
point
out
a
few
things
and
give
some
people
some
reminders.
I'm
hoping
that
people
will
continue
to
cut
their
grass
keep
the
weeds
at
bay.
Councilman
muskat
touched
on
that
make
sure
you
wave
whip
around
the
trees
and
along
the
fence.
Signs
also
nancy
breyer
asked
about
the
trash.
Can
placement
make
sure
it's
between
the
curb
and
the
sidewalk
off
of
the
curb,
not
in
the
street,
that's
imperative.
E
If
we
want
the
street
swept
we
had
the
different
heights
today,
semi-annual
magazine
coming
out
here
pretty
soon,
there's
lots
of
useful
information
in
there.
I
think
the
plan
is
to
have
sweeps
after
that.
That's
going
to
be
out.
I
think
it's
around
the
middle
of
this
month,
so
lots
of
useful
information
in
there
so
look
for
that
coming
to
the
residents
and
businesses
and
the
mail
soon,
and
I
think
that's
about
it
for
right
now.
Thank
you
very
much.
Council
chair,
everybody
have
a
good
night.
V
Thank
you.
I
just
wanted
to
add
a
few
details
of
information
about
the
small
business
grant
and
loan
workshop
that
mr
jamal
mentioned.
V
I
I
try
to
raise
my
hand
anyway,
so
this
is
in
collaboration
with
the
wayne
county,
so
the
presenters
are
actually
going
to
be
wayne
county
representatives
from
the
business
development
management,
part
of
it,
and
they
do
have
a
lot
of
grants
and
loans
available
for
all
of
our
small
business
owners
and
managers.
Whether
they're,
trying
to
you
know,
upgrade
their
businesses
or
apply
for
a
new
business
license.
V
V
So
I
do
encourage
you
that
if
you
know
any
business
that
that
needs
a
little
bit
of
revamping
or
was
hit
by
a
covid
to
please
encourage
them
to
participate
again,
it's
going
to
be
on
june
15th
for
at
1
pm
at
the
dearborn
heights,
caroline
kennedy,
library
and
that's
all
I
had
to
say.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
