our
wonderful
programs
with
the
first
day
of
school,
just
around
the
corner,
don't
forget

our
weekly
story
times

locations
offer
programs
for
a
variety
of
ages,
so

our

library
will

fifth,
through
august
seventeenth,
September
is
library
card
sign-up
month,
which
is
a
great
time
to
remind
parents
and
children
that
a
library
card
is
the
most
important
school
supply
of
all
all
of
the
library's
kid
and
teen
friendly
programs
are
designed
to
develop
and
encourage
literacy
skills
to
make
kids
stronger
readers
and
stronger
students
check
out.
Our
pizza
and
pages
program
for
teens
come
to
franklin
avenue
library.
On
monday
august

at
4pm
discuss
the
favorite
book.

Best
of
all
snacks
will
be
provided
each
year.
The
central
library
hosts
a
very
special
exhibition
of
artwork
created
by
children
k
to
12
who
attend
schools
in
central
Iowa.
The
display
which
features
more
than
300
pieces
is
sponsored
by
Hubble
homes,
the
Des
Moines
art
center
and
the
Des
Moines
arts
festival
as
part
of
their
program
called
nurturing
a
student's
vision.
The
students
artistic
achievements
will
be
recognized
at
a
reception
held
on
Wednesday
August,
twenty-eighth
at
6pm,
where
every
artist
is
rewarded
with
a
certificate
of
appreciation.

with
a
Des
Moines
Art
Center
student
membership
participating
teachers
receive
an
educator
membership
to
the
Art
Center
and
a
chance
to
win
one
of
five
$100
awards
in
art
supplies
freshen
up.
Your
bridge
playing
skills
by
joining
our
bridge
club
meet
at
the
central
library
to
practice
playing
bridge
on
Wednesday
evenings.

cafe
gallery,
you
can

journeys
bookshelf
features,

volumes
and
four
DVDs
that
address

the

of
the
American
public
for
trustworthy
and
accessible
resources
about
Muslim
beliefs
and
practices
and
the
cultural
heritage
associated
with
Islamic
civilizations
wanting
to
join
the
e-reader
craze,
but
not
sure
where
to
begin.

for
e-books,
downloadable,
audiobooks
and
e-magazines.
The
apps
can
be
used
on
mobile
devices
such
as
smartphones
tablets
and
e-readers
classes
and
apps

free

done,
for
instance,

of
the
box
set
up
passwords
in

charge
and
know
the
basics.
