The
seasons
are
beginning
to
change,
and
so
our
developmental
projects
in
downtown
Des
Moines,
the
Samuel
green
row
houses
also
known
as
northern
Hall-
are
a
City
of
Des
Moines
landmark
these
homes
were
previously
used
as
ethnic
heritage
meeting
halls.
In
an
effort
to
preserve
this
landmark
structure,
the
building
has
been
moved
from
70
90
s,
locust
to
425
es
grande.
The
building
is
an
extremely
rare,
surviving
row
house.
That
is
also
an
example
of
Roman
architecture,
the
historic
row
houses
are
being
repurposed
and
used
as
commercial
buildings.

first
floor
is
being
enlarged
to
accommodate
a
potential
restaurant
and
the
second
floor
will
be
use
for
a
commercial
office.
Space
Construction
has
already
begun
the
property
at
350.
East
locust
has
found
a
home.
A
local
developer
is
beginning
to
break
ground
they're,
adding
a
four-story
building
the
first
floor
will
be
for
commercial
use
with
floors
two
through
four
for
residential
use
and
the
fifth
floor.
Commercial

This
will
add
more
housing
to
the
downtown
market
and
increase
businesses.
This
project
is
expected
to
be
completed
in
2015.

downtown
yonkers
building
at
713
Walnut
Street,
is
a
part
of
the
Walnut
Street
transformation.
This
building
is
undergoing
a
total
renovation.
The
tearoom
will
be
your
stored
as
an
event
space
meeting,
space
or
restaurant.
The
first
and
second
floor
are
planned
for
commercial
use,
and
the
project
is
expected
to
last
14
to
16
months.
