expansion
project.

demolish
the
parking
garage
on
the
south
side
of
the
building
making
plans
to
reduce
the
high
water
buildup
on
Douglas
Avenue
plans
are
also
in
the
works
to
add
a
new
brewery
and
a
theatre
with
an
imax
screen.
Construction
is
expected
to
begin
in
early
fall
in
the
downtown
area.
The
property
east
and
west
of
7th
street
between
grand
avenue
and
high
street
is
looking
to
be
redeveloped.
This
is
potentially
a
mixed-use
development
that
includes
replacement
of
the
parking
currently
occupied
in
the
portion
of
that
site.

of
the
biggest
deals
in
Iowa
in
the
month
of
August
is
the
state
fair.
Besides,
being
the
second
largest
fair
in
the
United
States,
it
may
be
a
major
hassle
for
parking
if
you
are
resident
living
near
the
fairgrounds,
please
be
reminded
that
you
need
to
contact
the
State
Department
of
Revenue
at

to
get
a
permit
to
allow
parking
in
your
yard,
keep
in
mind
the
following
areas
will
have
parking
restrictions,
effective,

a.m.
thursday
august
eight
to
ten
p.m.
sunday
August
eighteenth,
the
following
streets
will
be
no
parking
zones.

City
of
Des,
Moines
traffic
and
transportation
division
is
making
great
strides
to
make
parking
meters
more
convenient,

city's
newest
parking
meters.

will
accept
your
smart
card,
credit
cards
or
change,
and
they
will

installed
in
the

and

and
