From YouTube: Allen Water Plant
Description
This video is about the Allen Water Plant
A
In
1952,
two
forward-thinking
men
believed
that
the
citizens
of
Englewood
Colorado
needed
access
to
their
own
clean
water.
Together
they
founded
the
Allen
water
treatment
plant.
It
all
starts
at
a
beautiful
reservoir
south
of
the
city
and
then
travels
through
underground
pipes
to
the
Allen
water
treatment
plant.
The
treatment
process
begins
by
removing
any
unwanted
sediment
as
the
waters
mix,
heavy
sediment
and
particles
sink
to
the
bottom.
The
water
then
flows
through
three
feet
of
carbon
filters.
This
process
works
sort
of
like
a
giant
filtering
water
pitcher,
then
using
state-of-the-art
UV
technology.
A
We
send
the
water
down
pipes
that
blast
powerful
UV
rays
through
the
water
in
activating
any
microorganisms
that
may
be
left
over
once
the
water
is
clean
and
safe
to
drink.
Large
pumps
distribute
fresh
water
to
homes
and
businesses
across
the
city.
We
care
about
your
safety
and
work
hard
to
make
sure
you
have
clean,
reliable
water.
We
conduct
over
130
tests
a
day
to
make
sure
every
drop
is
clean
and
safe.
At
our
high-tech,
state-of-the-art
facility.
A
We
go
above
and
beyond
to
make
sure
that
any
standards
that
are
set
by
government
and
local
officials
are
met
and
or
exceeded
your
depending
on
us
to
provide
fresh
water
for
your
families,
businesses
and
daily
lives,
and
that's
why
we
are
staffed
24/7
365
days
a
year
insuring
someone
is
always
available
to
tackle
any
situation
that
may
come
our
way
here
at
the
Allen
water
treatment
plant.
We
take
our
job
seriously
and
we're
committed
to
protecting
the
community
by
delivering
safe
and
clean
water.
