In our efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing and minimizing contact with others, we are at risk for becoming more isolated. A Community Sharing Circle (CSC) is an opportunity for all Englewood community members to engage in an intentional, structured conversation with one another. The facilitated dialogue welcomes all participant voices and experiences to be shared and heard, which creates the possibility for authentic connection.

If you choose to attend the CSC, sharing is voluntary. However, all participants are asked to keep what is shared in the circle private out of respect for one another’s experiences.

Our topics of conversation will include:

Welcome & Intentions of and Guidelines for the Community Sharing Circle
Initial conversation prompts such as: My favorite Englewood spot is…
What is going well for you?
What challenges are you facing?
What needs have arisen for you based on these challenges?
Community brainstorm of how to meet those needs
Appreciations
Closing & Announcements
Phone Buddies
The Neighborhood Resources Program is launching virtual programs for residents to participate in while they are encouraged to stay home during the COVID-19 isolation time. The Phone Buddies program is a peer-to-peer support program. The program will match a volunteer and an older adult to provide a connection for those who may be isolated.

The City is currently taking applications for the Senior Buddies. If you or a loved one are interested in receiving a phone weekly phone call please fill out the application. Buddies will be paired based on common interests and availability. We ask that the volunteer connect with their senior buddy via phone twice a week for a minimum of 15 min each time for the next 6 weeks. If you know a senior who is interested in the program but does not have the ability to fill out the application online please call 720-926-2154 to fill it out over the phone.

To sign-up as a senior buddy please fill out the form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ANIQY5NnrFeVx8lt_TmsotHyC9a4zv5tXVnfP4iGBWQ/edit.
