so
I'll
kick
us
off

kind
of
a
recap
and
our
requests,
and
then
Emily
is
in
the
room
as
well,
and
I've
been
working
with
her
quite
extensively
over
the
last
few
months.
So
you
an
update
and
go
from
there,
so
we
did
submit
this
proposal
in
the
packet
that
went
out
last
week.

We
additionally
included
seating
as
an
alternate
in
that
budget
for
the
project.
If
we
were
able
to
gain
additional
funding
to
support
this
effort
to
the
corner
lot,
since
we
left
Med
I've
been
working
successfully
with
Emily
as
I
mentioned,
I'm,
really
bringing
this
idea
forward
and
coming
up
with
an
implementation
plan
for
the
mural
piece.

So
we've
been
connecting
with
Colorado
young
leaders,
we
engage
an
artist
Mentor,
who
happens
to
be
a
neighbor
in
the
Cushing
neighborhood.
We
had
our
first
meeting
with
high
school
students
last
week
to
get
gain
interest
and
get
them
excited
about
this
project
and
coming
up
with
ideas
for
the
mural
I've.
Also
continued
neighborhood
meetings
with
interested
neighbors
we've
continued
design
and
construction.
The
little
Free
Library
should
be
completed
within
the
next
week
or
so
so
other
components
are
moving
forward.

It's
a
lot
project
as
well
and
looking
at
costs
a
little
bit
more
thoroughly
with
Emily,
based
on
her
past
experience
and
material
costs.
You
know
we
realized
the
funding
I
had
originally
set
aside
in
my
other
Grant,
which
is
about
six
hundred
dollars,
isn't
really
sufficient
to
properly
prep
the
site
to
fully
paint
it
and
provide
food
for
volunteers
for
our
two-day
volunteer
event,
which
is
in
the
schedule
here
as
well,
and
additionally
utilizing
all
that
fund
spending
and
the
other
Grant
would
allow
us
to
bring
the
seating
component
into
the
project.

Currently,
we
continue
to
seek
other
sources
of
funding
as
well
for
that,
but
the
seating
component
is
really
important
to
our
neighborhood.
So
with
that,
we
would
like
to
request
the
support
of
the
cultural
arts
commission
to
help
us
fully
realize
this
corner
lot
project
and
provide
funding
to
help
with
the
prep
and
prep
work
and
painting
supplies
and
materials
for
the
mural,
as
well
as
food
for
the
volunteers
that
will
be
helping
with
the
installation.

dates
are
October,
21st
and
22nd
will
be
our
final
installation
with
several
neighborhood
prep
days,
leading
up
to
that.
So
we'd
also
bring
back
a
final
design
to
your
next
Cultural
Arts
commission
for
review
and
input
after
working
with
the
students
over
the
next
month
to
come
up
with
that
design.

met

students
last
week

they've
probably
got
10
that
are
pretty
committed
and
so
we're
working
with
those
artists
and
then
Josh,
who
is
going

be
at
our
next
meeting
next
week

stick
with
some
sort
of
like
a
simple
geometric
design.

respond

lot

things
about
this
median
art
project
which
Rhys
and
I
were
working

this

get

call
for
art
posted,

all
of
Tim's
requests.
I
think
we
still
need
to
go
through
and
revamp
it
and
Reese
is
in
Ireland
and
I'm,
not
sure
when
she's
back,
but
there's
a
couple
of
things
that
I
wanted
to
bring
to
the
mission.

of

things
we
talked
about
is
having
existing
art,
which
I
guess.
If
we
call
only
Inglewood
artists,
I,
don't
know
if
that
would
be
possible
that
that
might
change
the
budget.

gave
us

lot

comments
about
all

usually,
you

put
out
first
a
request
for
qualifications,
and
the
proposal
would
come
after
you
narrow
that
down
to
like
the
top
three
to
five
artists
that
everybody's
on
the
you
know,
selection
committee
likes,
and
then
you
would
get
proposals
after
that
and
usually
in
a
proposal
process.
Once
the
finals
have
been
selected,
they're
awarded
some
sort
of
an
honorarium
to
get
them
compensated
for
their
work.

was
the

was

first
thing
I
wanted
to
talk
about
which
all
kind
of
hinges
on
I
guess
like
Reese's,
Reese
and
I.
Our
concern
was:
do
we
want
to
just
get
something
through
and
have
a
piece
of
art
there,

do
we
want
something
that
matches
with
the
Inglewood
Community
better
than
an
existence?

existing
piece

budget,

think
we
have
to
open
it
up
to
Colorado

already

of

really
comes
down

this
might
be

question

Christina

city
Contracting
process
is
like
how
long
that
takes,
because
that's
probably
going
to
slow
you
down,
because
the
artist
really
can't
get
into
production
until
the
contracts
you
know
signed
and
ready
to
go.

depending
on
who
you
select
and
if
it's
an
existing
piece,

it's
something
that's

take
four
to
six
months
or

what
they're

rush

rather

crazy

the
one
he
said
and
there's
a
fee
associated

that.
But
it's
a
for
us

Think
it's
125
dollars
is
that
right
for
us,
it's

for
the
artist.

you
have
the
option
to
charge,
for
you

like
an
entry
fee
which
is
fairly
common.

other
option
is
call
for
entry.com
and
they
can
be
their
back.

lot
more,

costs
about
800
for
a
call.

that's
why
I'd
recommend
artwork
archive,

up

you

selected

CAC

Committee
and

area
neighbor,

artist
professional
in
the
community,
an
artist,

engineer.

Inglewood

interested

serving

the

the
committee

they

you

look

not

it's
helpful
in
the
selection
process
because
you
have
the
expertise
right

they

just
meet

mentioned
doing

Arts
District
or
have
seen
it
what
it
would
take
for
Englewood
to
create
an
Arts
District
here
in
our
community,
but

started
with
the
commission
at
2018,
something
that
was
it
being
discussed.
We
haven't
really
discussed
it
since
then,
and
there's
a
lot
of
I,
don't
know
a
lot
of
benefits,
I
guess
for
artists
in
our
community
if
we
get
an
Arts
District
put
together,
but
we
have
to
kind
of
figure
out
what
that
means
to
us
here
at
Englewood.

things
that
we

mentioned
before
years
ago
was
that
we
have
kind
of
a
community
of
makers
that
kind
of
the
space
over
by
Black
Cube
Gallery
the
little
arm
that
sticks
off
on
the
map
over
there.

like

maker
space

there.
Does
anybody
know
what
that's
called
it's
like
an
artist
like
a
bunch
of
artists
together,
Nobody
Knows,
the
names
of
it
as
anybody
does
anybody
know
what
I'm
talking
about.

it

talked
about
it,

it's
like

maker
space

bunch

artists

District

economic
development

the
state

kind

entity

sanctions

districts

their
website.

you
can
look
at
criteria
or
you
know
kind
of
what
they
look
for
with
establishing
an
Arts,
District
and
I
think
that
their
staff
would
be
through
Colorado
creative
Industries.

creative
districts,
and
this
is
something
that
I
had
asked

you
guys
never
considered
before

was
on
Council,
something

came

that
would
be
a
huge,
you
know,
put
a
policy
decision
and
we
have
to
put
counsel,
but
if
it
were
to
be
something
that
you

this
group

was
interesting
and
that
would
be
the
beginning

conversation.

office

Community
Development

Hollingsworth

conversation

the
last
several

idea

a
creative
district

artistic

Opera
folks

involved,

maybe
it's
also
creating

ad
hoc
committee
like
we
would
for
this

have
a
group
from
like
your

other

market

17th
October

chunk

treat
it's

October
22nd,
so
it's
kind

like
the
fall
market,
Trunk

Treat
all
happening
at

same

bazaar

the
Mali,
Center
and
then
holiday
tree
lighting
is
the
first
Saturday
in
December.

we
having

been

is

choir
or
what
we'll
have
going
on,
but

talks

markets

Kaiser
at

Kaiser
parking
lot

so
I'm
super
excited
about
the
relationship
that
I've
been
able
to
build
with
Kaiser
and
king
supers
over
the
summer.
So
I'm
looking
forward
to
some
really
cool
things
next
year
for
us
being
able
to
utilize
those
two
very
vacant
open
spots
that
are
in
the
middle
of
our
city.

Well,
so
Cushing
Park
is
under
a
remodel
right
now
and
the
skate
park
was
demoed
this
week
and
we
were
going
to
be
saving
the
murals,
but
they
got
tagged
and
I'll
pass
my
phone
around.
So
you
can
see
what
they
were
tagged
with.
It
was
kind
of
unfortunate
that
it
happened.
The
Tag's
not
horrible,
but
it's
not
recoverable
to
get
the
the
mural
back
and
so
that
skate
park
was
demoed
the
two
pieces
where
the
mirror
was
painted.

They
were
salvaged
and
saved,
but
because
that
skate
park
those
pieces
were
over
20
years
old.
Some
of
them
did
fall
apart
when
they
were
being
removed,
so
we're
debating
on.
Do
we
keep
it?
Do
we
scrap
it,
not
really
sure
where
we
place
it
or
put
it
whether
it
be
a
cushion
or
somewhere
nearby?
So
it's
tentative
like
that
was
a
free
mural.
We
got
out
of
these
people,
not
great,
but
it
wasn't
bad.

It
would
probably
remove
the
mural
underneath,
but
I
think
there's
other
alternative
ways
of
doing
murals
that
we
could
look
into
in
the
future
and
new
technologies
coming
out
too.
So
you
never
know
what
might
pop
up
and
have
an
artist
that
wants
to
try
it
so
I
know,
there's
still
a
desire
to
do
like
a
welcome
to
Inglewood
or
Inglewood
mural
over
at
Dartmouth
in
Santa
Fe,
along
that
originally
I
think
what
was
proposed
is
to
put
like
welcome
to
Inglewood
up
near
the
tracks,
but
logistically
to
do
that.

We'd
have
to
shut
down
roads
and
so
having
it
off
to
the
side.
We
just
recently,
we
redid
those
Planters,
the
tiered
planners
there
they're,
looking
pretty
good
plants
are
coming
in
and
so
that'll
be
another
opportunity
for
a
mural
in
the
near
future
that
we
could
do.
If
we
have
artists
interested
I,
don't
think
I'd
want
to
have
students
up
there,
because
it
is
on
Santa,
Fe
and
Dartmouth
on
a
very
busy
Corner.
