And no public comment, so let's get right into oh, it's involved. Yes, all in favor any opposed. Thank you um all right, new business um holiday tree lighting tony. Would you like to kick that off.

I'm sure so the holiday tree lighting slash market is scheduled for saturday december 4th from 3 to 7 p.m.

And from three to seven so far, um I know that the choir from the high school is coming.

The band is checking on if they'll be able to be there and we're looking at getting a dj, slash, entertainment type person, so they would provide the lighting and all of the mics for the stage for the choir.

um Looking at some different different additions like a photo booth um or selfie type um place, and you can actually brand it with the city, logo or, however, we want and holiday and then he'll do holiday tunes. You know whatever is decided and there'll be a market for people that want to sell any gifts or trinkets or whatnot. I have talked to the guild and they also are interested in partnering and possibly doing a youth event in the guild and also willing to house anybody with precious um items that can't be in the weather.

You know one year, I think um when the chamber did, I think there was um some gold jewelry or whatever that they didn't want outside. It was like two degrees, so nobody wanted to be outside so um but yeah. So um I think it's gonna be a great event going to ask whoever the mayor is the newly elected mayor to light the tree that evening and um the tree will be lit at 5, 30 p.m and then, at seven everything we're hoping the streets and circle everything will be back open by then we were gonna.

Do it by six. You know just have it run three to six, but we wanted people to have enough time that if they wanted to go and pick up that gift or novelty that they didn't want to carry around until after the shoe is lit to have enough time to do so and then for the vendors to pack up and everything and the date should coincide with the downtown denver city lighting also, so um that way people can hop on the light rail and head down to timber.

um I'm waiting for confirmation to see if that's going to align yeah cause. I told you a little bit later right, yeah. I think they do that around yeah. If they do it twice, actually they do an early one and a later one um but um yeah. So we've kind of floated around different one year. We did it on um shop small saturday um and then we thought it was cooler to coincide with denver too, to kind of.

Could carry on with their day so to speak. Then there's the six o'clock go home type thing. So yeah, I'm really excited it's um been a great event in the past and who would love any participation, ideas or thoughts that any of you have. What do you need.

Like what what's the missing component, that you think would be something we could help with.

I think at this point so we can add stuff with like there's a couple of different things, that it's called how we eventful, um they can add some lighting. They can add some speakers. They can add different components and stuff to jazz it up a little um and then maybe we can add some different um decorations and lighting and maybe even a little bit more of the festivity for the kids or whatnot.

um It's just I with what I have in place right now with him coming to bring the sound and the risers and the mics and stuff, and I'm at my budget. Okay. So.

So so you're! So if I'm understanding you we could maybe even if we don't have some unique idea that we can pull together in 60 days. We could just financially contribute to a component of like his what whatever he can provide.

um Yeah I mean that would be great, so, okay.

I think that's that's, okay, I'm looking at the you know when we did it, it was freezing I'm looking at the future.

um So the dj, so that the dj guy or lady is gonna, be the one who kind of provides all of this like supplementary sort of entertainment. Is that what I'm understanding.

It can be, um but if there's any other unique ideas you know if we wanted to do different types of heating or uh s'mores, you know type thing could do like that.

I'm just saying like at this point: I don't have any extra activities, so I'd be open to any ideas. So the pro not a problem, but one of the challenges is it's also the holiday express yeah that evening, so we don't have a ton of resources. So if we wanted to um do like a smores kit or something like that, you know maybe it's just that's a takeaway from the program. You know not necessarily something they do at the moment, um but there's a lot of ideas that how many.

At the guild they go and they can write a letter to santa and then we have a mailbox um that you know they can drop their letter in or whatever we've had um santa and mrs claus in the past.

So but I did think nine news last year you know because everything was virtual, they had his dance's daughter and I remember her name was like candy cane or something like that.

But I have reached out to the school too to see if their drama department would want to come and be elves, so we could have elves all over the place running around if anyone wanted to be like a christmas tree or a holiday tree, and then they come to life when people visit the tree which I'm like. Oh, please don't give anyone a heart attack. We don't want any cardiac type thing recently actually looked at a stinking christmas tree before the last meeting and they're 18 000, so we won't be having any singing christmas trees.

Unless you would, anyone would like to dress up as a tree and sing. Then we would have a singing christmas tree, but we won't be hiring stud singing christmas trees um but yeah. You know the uplighting. um We could maybe have like snowflakes in this guy lighting I mean: do you have a food truck and yes right now I have the kenyan cuisine food truck coming. Okay, so.

We could like we did heaters or something just right out there around like that kind of or top tall tables.

And this and that, however guy too can he can, if we have ideas versus us, trying to have to track him down or whatever? He could definitely quote it out for us that, like the photo booth and um the up lighting to make it green and red and yeah holiday-esque is two hundred and fifty dollars. um The photo booth is 450.

So maybe I think the other thing would be if the high school needs some money for kids to dress up, because I'm sure costumes and that sort of stuff costs money or does the school already have that. um I know that amy has like a amy pickering's, a drama teacher and she has like a closet, but I I would imagine she doesn't have like 12, elf costumes, even.

I said the choir is coming to sing, but I don't know for how long or when yeah and then I've asked the drama department. And I haven't heard back yet, but.

Like 800 towards all the add-ons and then 200 for the high school to work with to do like, however, they want to dress it up, so that there's that creative student element- I just know funds- are always an issue for school. So I want them to be involved and not have funds completely not allowed.

It's up for our interpretation, I kind of left it an open thing. I didn't want to dictate what they would be doing. I wanted their creative minds to so I put it to clarisse who connected me with the drama teacher, and I said I am open to any ideas. My first thought was to if they were all elves and they were just elves everywhere, like that's kind of a cool.

Type of ambiance to it, um but I was really open to it. So I just haven't heard back from her yet to see what the ideas were and if they were even interested and or available so again completely up to how you guys want to do it. And if it is, you know easier to give one like the thousand and then I would earmark 200 of that to purchase whatever the schools needed, or I don't know christina. What do you think or if they do 200 to the schools and 800 to events or whatever yeah?

Volunteer t-shirts, we talked about this last time. I don't remember really where we left on it. So what do you need and when do you need it.

So I would like to have the t-shirts by january. Okay, um I understand that everyone is super strapped and busy, and so, if this is something that is not possible for to have, you know at the beginning of 2022, it's the final. Definitely something that we can look at hopefully doing in 20 in 2022 for 2023 um t-shirts, but the hope is to have them early in the year so that we can give them out for all years event for the entire years volunteers for all of the different events.

But I would love to um tap into local artists to get designs and such I'm not sure what that looks. Like kind of like the crosswalk thing.

Yeah exactly almost kind of like what we did with the horses where we can go out and solicit designs and um and then come back and or we can do an online voting situation like we did last time which I think worked out. Okay, um I have to ask vanessa. She was the one who had to tally all that, but, um okay, I think.

If you did the, if you did the request in december january, and and I don't know, you had to set all that up right on a website or something or somebody said yeah, the communications department has that they set it up and then did we reach out via our or did it was just posted through this communications as well said through the guard. um We I just sent it out to our distribution, and then we did um some promotion, some promotion, just social media, wise.

And how many hello does you remember how many months that was or was that a month.

I want to sit up like a month and a half and um the last like week was hot, so it got in there.

But you've got the whole if you did well, so you could. You were in we're in october. I suppose you could do november december. Yes, you would get. Would.

Yeah yeah, so that's all yours, but as long as we could get you the artwork and you can see different designs, then that would be that's really hard.

Yeah, I think my next meeting- okay, if I'm thinking about this right, could you get us the or whenever, because I don't think we have to make a we're? Not gonna do a vote for this, but get us the um specs. You want a big logo on the front. You want a little logo so that just from a design perspective or something on the back. If we need one or two something here, something there yeah single color, what the t-shirt color it might could be.

That might be something the artist can designate the cartoon the highlight.

Whatever yes yeah, I think um just because of cost efficiency. um You know limited to two color because a lot of them, even if it's a white logo, they put a shading behind it. So you don't really see that color, but when you're printing, it's two color, so um two color max three, I think would be it and then um I would really just look to the artist I didn't want to dictate.

You know really, I think, just front. I don't think we need anything on the back or in the um whatever just something to symbolize that it's inglewood and they're volunteer and.

You know it might be nice if you do that every year to so, you could just say to give some guidance.

To provide, and so what you're, what you're suggesting is that you want something that you could just say: it's t-shirt, but something that represents angle and volunteerism.

All right, okay, we're coming with the swedish horses. There was the financial incentive to participate, and so without having something like that might not get as much interest.

Know what an artist gets for sure I mean the thousand came out of looking at when we did the horses. It came out of looking at other programs and what they provide.

Recognition and kind of marketing yeah, and I would even be willing to get if they have some type of something that they could benefit from a booth like. I would give them both space. The block party fourth of july or.

Whatever yeah I mean, if it's I mean it could just be like a you know, an amateur artist or a kid or something.

Yeah that may be not a challenge, but yeah you could have a five-year-old submit something that you.

I think, as long as I had it that I could have the shirts by the middle of march to be fine, because I want to start event we're going to start doing. The extravaganza is going to probably be the first event and it's going to happen, and I think it's the third week well you're not going to have.

Every volunteer in march, no, if we had to, but I think we should be in good shape honestly with the way that these things turn themselves around. But.

Swedish horses not much update here other than we had one stolen from swedish hospital, and so um that that wasn't ideal, but ampa came out last week and put between 70 and 80 pounds of concrete below each one which um they said doubled. What was already there so they've never had this happen.

Yes, the ones that are in the grass they theorized that perhaps some of the grassy locations were just really saturated because of the where they sat, which is totally possible but um 70 or 80 pounds. I guess if you really want a horse at this point, that's probably work, but it's going to be work. Yeah or you'd have to be amazing, yeah. So.

The the uh if there's ever, an opportunity I have heard from the businesses where the one is on broadway, the the one that had the googly eyes posted on him, that that putting it in that walkway was not ideal.

And so, if there is- and I I mean I wouldn't guess it, but that's just some comments that I've heard. So if there's ever a chance to move that one. That might be a good idea, I mean we don't have to I mean people are getting around, but I think that.

Complaint I've heard from businesses other than that they liked it, but it just in part, I think, due to the clientele that is the brewability clientele as well, just with various access points being wilson, access and blind that that.

That placement wasn't great so.

Know too, if we do this again and good for public works to know, or you can kind of lean on them. For that I mean.

It wasn't negative, it was just if there was an opportunity yeah. Could we change that a little bit yeah, so that would provide different access, so I just wanted to throw that out in case.

Oh yeah, I just want to chime in real quick um regarding the swedish horse project, so I received an email from one of the participating artists, tara, connors, who wanted to organize an exhibition of the participating artists and it's not something we can host at our galleries.

You know in the foreseeable future, but I didn't know if the library or something would be interested in that, so um I was just putting it out there. So you know about.

um I lost my oh art proposal form um we were going to get this up on the website and then um debbie mentioned to think so. I don't think that that is significant, significant entrance to kind of the um purpose of the uh of the forum. So um unless you want to just do it, I.

I'm fine taking it out and then um you know if down the road, we're running the issues and getting really random things. Yeah don't make sense. Maybe we say: okay, let's put that back in and yeah.

So um in my neighborhood and jason park, there's some people that have an idea, um and that would- and this would fall. Maybe in that I mean that they would, you know, kind of present that they, um when this is up online, do you envision that this would then be downloaded.

I guess it's it's more of a guidance because there's nothing to, but there is some areas to submit right where.

They would say: here's our idea.

This is what we're thinking, and so um I didn't know if you had a project that was already, but um I think when we did the, um I mean the idea of some of the things with the the crosswalks and the boxes was with uh and tim and ourselves was to go through that to see how it worked yeah, you know, knowing that we were the and if it didn't work, we weren't, you know upset or anything because we figured it out.

So if there's a, I didn't know, if you had a project that you wanted to kind of work through and just see.

I think kind of like what we did with the swedish horses. They just basically put it into a beta. Are you saying like put into a beta environment, so we can test it and then roll it or.

You could put it live and just try, because I'm guessing you're not going to get a flood of no of people but um yeah. If you wanted, we could I mean I could talk to those neighbors and see and I don't think they don't care. If it does, I mean if it doesn't necessarily get approved. I mean they've got this idea and I said well there's this proposal and we could walk through it and if you find some glitches where you're like. Oh, we should have asked them that yeah.

Finalize it when you get it, just send it to them and have them put their proposal together and then.

Have some more meetings that I think we have to have with the clerk's office, but I had shared with them in my last city. They just kind of put like a waiting list together, so yeah and people that want to be on the cultural arts. Commission, the council will approve them or didn't it either way and they sat kind of waiting. So if anybody left you would then, as a commissioner, would go through the list and say: okay, let's pick this person yeah so.
