I
can
go

name
is
meg
donaldson,
I'm
a
resident
in
englewood
and
the
neighborhood
group
leader
for
a
christian
park.
Neighborhood
I've
been
working
with
the
city
for
about
the
last
year
and
a
half
to
develop
our
neighborhood
group
and
engage
community
members
and
get
activities
started,
and
it's
been
pretty
successful,
and
this
is
a
more
built
environment
project
that
myself
and
some
neighbors
have
been
trying
to
accomplish
something
on
this
lot.
Where
that
star
is
it's
just
down
the
street
on
floyd
and
cherokee?

It's
a
vacant
lot,
that's
in
our
neighborhood
and,
as
you
saw
in
that
last
photo
surrounded
by
several
other
commercial
parking,
lots
and
commercial
buildings,
and
it's
just
kind
of
a
blighted
corner
that
we
see
as
an
entrance
to
our
neighborhood.
So
we've
been
looking
for
different
avenues
to
liven
this
and
make
it
activated
space
and
a
community
gathering
location
we've
gone
through
several
pathways
to
see
what's
possible,
but
at
the
end
of
the
day,
we
really
have
a
few
financial
resources
and
lack
of
infrastructure
on
this
site.

we
hit
dead
ends
and
the
city's
been
great,
really
supportive,
and
we
appreciate
that,
but
I
haven't
been
able
to
figure
out
a
good
fit,
and
then
I
was
recently
reading
an
article
about
tactical
urbanism,
which
is
a
low-cost
temporary
way
to
bring
improvements
to
the
built
environment.
So
we've
been
thinking
about
some
concepts
around
that
in
the
neighborhood,
and
you
know
really
just
to
activate
the
space,
bring
neighbors
together
here
and
you
know
calm
traffic
and
just
make
it
prettier
than
it
is
currently.

we
have
a
vision
without
a
full
plan
on
how
to
make
it
happen.
Quite
yet,
and
so
that's
why
I'm
here
tonight,
you
know
our
vision
again
is
to
define
the
corner
as
a
neighborhood
entrance.
Activate
the
space
provide
community
activities
and
engagement
and
increase
safety
and
visual
appeal
are
kind
of
our
goals,
and
our
proposal
is,
if
you
go
to
the
last
slide,
there's
some
images
of
what
some
examples.

maintains

pocket
park,

cost
to
install
for
irrigation
and
other
things
was
just
off
the
charts
and
the
parks
doesn't
really
have
capacity
to
maintain
another
park
right
now.

way

came

phasing

what
that

the
mural

done
first,

we
are
able

do
some

these
other
pieces

grant

the
murals
have
a
second
phase,
you
know
we're
open
to
that
too.

can
be

We've
looked
into
some
examples
of
it
being
done
before,
and
I
think
we
would
want
to
keep
the
cracks
and
just
you

like
it's
part
of
the
lot
and
keep
it
as
it
is.
It
does
need

clean,
there's

debris
and
loose
gravel,
so
we
would
have
to
you
know,
remove
all
the
debris
before
we
could
paint
it,
but
I
think
we
would
be
okay
as
neighbors.

about
that
because
coming
up
to
making
sure
it's
a
hospitable
environment,

with
concept

up
with

artist
probably

go
out

probably
solicit
artists

materials.

it's
a
big
project,
but
I
thought
well,
maybe
if
the
students
were
there,
then
you

the

concept
and
the
artists
are
kind
of
taken
care
of
part

the
funding.

it

scope

little
bit
to
making
sure
it's
a
hospitable,

we
can

with

planters

public
works.

will
take

months
and

school

something
that
we've
been
trying
to
do
on
projects

departure

utilize

keep
some

moa
owns

city

right
to
maintain
the
art
insure
it
conserve
it
over
the
year,
and
so
that
would
be
something
the
city
would
potentially
fund.
If
council
chooses
to
move
forward
with
that,
the
reason
we
had
you
do
the
ranking
is
so.

the
funding
were
to
exist,
we
may
say
we're
going
to
want
to
keep
the
top
10
pieces
that
cac
recommends

whatever
it
ends
up
being

that's

would
then
work
with
the
moa
on

figure
out
price
points

that
looks
like

so
I
appreciate
you
all
taking
time

look
at
the
proposal
and
and
create
this
ranking
that
you
all
have
in
front
of
you
or
see
on
the
tv
there.

that,
while
we're
moving
our
headquarters
and
closing

indoor
gallery
program,
we
still
very
much
hope
to
maintain
a
presence
here
through
our
outdoor
art
collection

also
community
engagement.

more
projects
with
like
students
and
things,
so
you
know
it's
not
our
hope
that
we're
just
like
gone
forever.

think
what

need
to
figure
out

we
come

determination?

each
individual
says

is
how
I
ranked
the
pieces,
and
then
you
know
if
it
does
come
down

cac
needing

select
pieces,
to
keep
what
will
be
the
methodology
for
that.
Is
it
the
cost
to
maintain
right?
Is
it
the
location
that
it's
in
there's
a
lot
of
factors
that
may
come
into
play
when
determining
which
pieces
the
city
should
keep
within
and
maintain
them?

that's
something
we
want
to
include
in
a
memo
to
council
to
say
this
is
how
we
determine
the
ranking
system.

don't
know
if
you
each
want
to
go
around
say

This
is
what
I
thought
of
when
I
was
looking
at
the
pieces

then
we
could
kind
of
have
that
layout
to
help
develop
the
memo
of
your
methodology,
of
which
ones
was
it
just
I
like
this
one,
so
I'd
love
to
keep
it
here
in
the
city
or
was
it

find
it
hard
to
rank
like
art,
because
it's
like
so
subjective
right,
so
I
tended
to
steer
towards
some
of
the
traffic
cabinets,
some
of
the
the
bearer
in
the
library,
because
I
think
it's
adorable.

protected
and
a
couple
of
the
the
crosswalks
and
I
and
I
I
think
I
weighed
those
a
little
bit
more
heavily
because
they
we
still
are
offering
those
to
the
public
in
various
forms-
and
I
know
I
think
real
plus
gatherer
is
still
working
on
that.

for
me
it's
just
it's
hard
to
know
a
what
where
downtown
development
is
going
to
be,
and
so
is
it
going
to
be
a
year?
Is
it
going
to
be
five
years?
Did
we
sign
up
for
something
and
then
all
of
a
sudden
we
have
you

construction
and
and
then
to
just
you
know
if
you
walk
out
into
the
courtyard
like
I
mean
one
versus
another,
I
don't
you
know
they're
all
neat
like,
but
it's
I
think
it
becomes
personal
preference
at
that
juncture.

seems
like
a
pretty
easy
piece
to
keep
the
restoring
and

keep
them
there,
and
they
do
really
make
people
notice

when

they're

prevalent
locations

broadway.

really
like
those
there's
a
few
other
like
of
my
favorite
pieces,
that
I
of
course
ranked
tie
because
I
just
have
personal
preference
for
them,

then
you

there
was
a
lot
of
pieces
for
me.

spoke

things
that

everybody
has
their

opinions

the
stuff
that

saw
on
the
stuff

I
liked.

ranked
really
high.

the
crosswalks

moved
to
things

felt
kind

iconic.

the
brooklyn
bridge.
You

everyone
sees
that
from
the
train
and
something
that's
kind

known

even

the
lions,
for
example,
are
not
my
favorite
piece
but
also
they're,
really
like
solid
and
kind
of
iconic
and.

I
was
similar
except
I
paid.
I
was
really
worried
about
the
blurbs
about
each
piece,
so
I
wanted
to
see
if
they
were
connected
to
inglewood
or
see
if
they
were
connected
to
colorado
or
denver.

that
was
part
of
my
ranking
just
trying
to
have
a
tie
to
us.
As
far
as
artists
go-
and
I
know
like
again
the
crosswalks
and
some
of
those
boxes
are
very
tied
to
the
committee.

everyone
thinks
that
so
they're
that
that's
how
I
did
my
ranking
on
things
that
I
think
bring
magic
like
the
beer
in
the
library

wasn't,

disciplined

I
tried
my
best
again
to
keep
that
local
colorado
feel
for
what
I
chose
and
to
to
choose
things
that
I
really
feel
like
are
visible
to
the
public
and
connected.

balancing

mishmash

think

in
agreement
on
a
lot
of
those
things.
