our
one
order
of
business
is
to
discuss
the
security
contract
for
the
both
inside
the
Civic
Center
and
outside
the
Civic
Center.
Just
as
a
reminder.
So
this
was
an
outcome
from
the
septed
study
that
was
con
conducted
in
2021
and
basically
to
consolidate
those
forces.
So
we've
been
working
with
both
director
Underhill
as
well
as
Kennetha
from
the
courts
Administration
area
to
consolidate
those
Melinda
has
put
together
a
RFP
and
we
got
a
number
of
responses
back.

and
I'm
not
sure,
I
can't
get
my
camera
to
come
on
for
some
reason,
but
but
yeah
we
did
Issue
the
RFP
and
we
we've
received
five
responses
to
that.
And
then
a
number
number
of
Staff
members
evaluated
those
responses
based
on
the
contractors,
qualifications
and
price
and
so
forth,
and
we
did
select
Allied
Universal
as
the
security
contract.
So
we've
been
working
to
get
their
contract
in
place
and
executed.

checked
with
procurement
and
they
haven't
gotten
the
signed
documents
back
yet,
but
we
we
are
pursuing
that
and
then
have
prepared
the
other
documentation
that
will
need
to
present
to
city
council
for
approval
and
then,
as
a
part
of
that,
of
course,
we
need
the
e-4
approval
and
the
security
will
be
for
both
armed
security
in
the
court
area
and
and
then
unarmed
security
24
hours
on
the
Eve
property
surrounding
the
Civic
Center.
And
then
an
additional
unarmed
security
guard
will
be
here
to
to
assist
with
this.

Excuse

it's
common
to
have
something
that
tells
the
security
company
how
they're
going
to
respond
to
incidents
and
how
the
agency
that's
hiring
them,
wants
them
to
proceed.
So
we
made
as
part
of
this
RFP
The
Nest
that
it
would
be
required
for
the
company
to
actually
develop
those
post
orders
in
conjunction
with
staff.

we
that's
I,
think
an
important
kind
of
First
Step
not
only
getting
them
on
board,
but
then
also
to
have
them
develop
those
formal
post
orders
so
that
we're
all
working
on
the
same
page.
So
I
think
that
will
be
helpful
and
again,
this
contract
is
for
not
only
what
we're
currently
providing
so
the
eve
security
for
the
entire
site
outside
of
the
Civic
Center,
which
is
currently
being
provided
by
as
an
on
the
interim.

that's
a
new
and
additional
service
and
if
you
recall
Jackie,
we
went
through
the
budget
supplemental
in
April
to
allocate
additional
general
fund
dollars
towards
that
effort,
so
the
if
so
so,
there's
three
components.
Basically,
so
it's
the
exterior
which
is
being
paid
for
by
Eve
and
we'll
continue
to
do
so.

quartz
piece
which
courts
will
continue
to
take
care
of,
and
then
the
third
piece
is
that
interior
to
the
Civic
Center,
which
will
be
paid
for
by
the
general
fund
through
Public,
Works,
okay
and
Melinda's,
figured
out
all
the
finances
and
so
that
contract
will
be
coming
forward
to
City
Council
on
August,
1st,
so
I
know
that's
a
very
high
level.
But
is
there
any
questions
from
the
remainder
of
the
board.

contract

month
to
month,

we
do
need

give
them

notice

we
cancel
them,

short-term
contract
with
them,
we
told
them
that
it

months

contract
started
about
the
middle
of
May.

conversations

Allied,

people
they
would
have
available

service
those
different
areas.

Civic
Center
Redevelopment
plan.
There's

bring

Eve
board
member

involved

Council
approved.

it
says
the
Redevelopment
team
is
at
a
point.
They
are
ready
to
drive
the
framework
agreement,
Council
memo,
I
schedule,
a
council
study
session
and
plan
for
a
council
member
briefings.
This
is
a
if
it's
our
responsibility
to
approve
the
framework
agreement
before
Council
approved
this
agreement.

into

Eve
property,

working
back
through
the
city
attorney's
office
as
well
as
Eve
Council
on
that,
and

there

formal
document
or
agreement
I'll
bring
that
forward,
but
with
my
vacation
I,
just
that
was
kind
of
put
on
hold.

there
is
a
formal
action
needed
by
Eve,
then
that
will
come
back
at
a
future
meeting.
