Hi
I'm
linda
olson,
mayor
of
the
city
of
englewood,
2020,
has
been
unlike
any
year,
we've
ever
experienced,
while
we're
preparing
for
a
not
so
typical
holiday
season.
The
closeness
that
marks
our
usual
celebrations
will
require
a
lot
of
creativity,
eating
thanksgiving
christmas,
kwanzaa
or
hanukkah
dinners
with
loved
ones
over
the
computer
instead
of
in
person,
isn't
normal,
and
we
all
know
that.
But
we
also
know
that
this
won't
last
forever,
especially
if
we
continue
to
be
careful
for
the
sake
of
each
other.
A
A
Instead,
while
we
have
to
practice
an
unusual
way
of
celebrating
this
year,
there
is
one
tradition
from
our
christmas
celebrations
who
has
been
a
staple
in
inglewood
and
who
will
soon
be
coming
down
a
chimney
near
you
and
right
now
he
wants
to
say,
hi
and
send
out
an
early,
but
still
very
jolly
holiday
message.
Take
it
away
santa
hello.
B
B
I
know
this
year
has
seen
a
lot
of
challenges
and
sometimes
that
wasn't
always
easy
or
fun,
but
I've
been
watching
over
you
and
I
can
see
how
hard
you've
worked
to
remain
hopeful.
When
times
were
tough
anytime,
you
feel
down,
or
you
feel
like
giving
up
remember
the
times
you
helped
someone
or
when
someone
helped
you.
We
all
have
the
magic
within
us
to
do
good
and
that's
the
true
spirit
of
the
holiday
season.
B
I
know
we
can't
talk
in
person
this
year,
but
if
you
like,
you
can
email
me
or
I
can
call
you
to
find
out
what
you
want
the
elves
to
make
for
you
just
visit
the
inglewood
site
and
find
out
how
we
can
just
do
that,
be
sure
to
ask
a
grown-up
to
help
you
as
we
make
our
way
through
englewood
I'll,
be
extra
hungry.
So
don't
forget
the
milk
and
cookies
chocolate
chip
are
my
favorites.
B
I
need
the
extra
energy,
so
I
can
carry
all
those
presents.
Remember
keep
up
the
good
work.
Wear
your
mask.
Do
your
homework
and,
most
importantly,
be
good,
your
mom
and
dad,
and
your
brothers
and
sisters
too.
Now,
let's
get
ready
to
light
up
the
biggest
brightest
christmas
tree
in
inglewood
ready
three
two
one.
