Numbers
are
tracking,
pretty
similar
to
the
child.
They
have
been
for
the
last
few
months
we're
seeing
our
our
similar
numbers
for
holds
or
total
circulation.
That
sort
of
thing
we
are
now
significantly
outpacing
the
number
the
amount
of
circulation
we
would
see
in.
You
know
that
we
saw
in
april
2020.
We
did
have
a
big
spike
in
our
digital
product
usage.
You
know
once
the
pandemic
hit,
everyone
started
getting
their
books
and
you
know
streaming
audiobooks
and
all
that
stuff
with
hubla
and
overdrive.

If
you
look
back
to
the
april
2019
2018
numbers,
I
think
that's
where
you're
gonna
get
the
most
interesting
circulation
comparison
again
we're
keeping
my
weight
up.
So
we
had
about
10
000,
total
circulation
for
21
april
2021,
going
back
to
2018
2019.
We
had
about
15
000
about
eighteen
thousand
respectively,
but
you
know
those
numbers
are
somewhat
boosted
by
tumblebooks,
which
we
aren't,
which
we're
not
tracking.

So
not
a
not
a
perfect
comparison,
but
just
wanted
to
give
you
know
a
little
context,
we're
seeing
more
traffic
in
the
library
you
know
more
and
more
all
the
time.
Now,
I'm
looking
forward
to
may
24th
when
we
are
back
to
reopen
to
our
normal
operating
hours.
But
you
know
physical
visitors
numbers
in
the
3000
range
this
month.
I
thought
I
felt
really
good
about
it.
It's
been
really
cool
to
have
more
people.
A
little
more
activity
in
the
library
see
a
lot
more
families.

on
that
time
of
day
you
just
throw
the
doors
open
and
the
people
are
coming
in
and
that's
been
really
awesome
to
see.
Just
the
the
community
come
back
to
the
library
and
then
our
children's
programs.
Those
numbers
are
driven

and
in
in-person
programs.

team

every

study
rooms

the

again
we're
doing.
We've
got
a
couple
of
different
painting
projects
happening
in
the
library
we,
you

it's
just
a
lot
of

where
you

we
further
throughout
the
pandemic,
we're
quarantining
materials.
You
know
roughly
a
five
day,
quarantine
on
everything
and
we're
now
in
the
stage
where
we're
trying
to
catch
back
up.

that
means
doing
extra
each
day
so
that
we
can
be
caught
up
by
may
24th
when
we're
back
to
our
normal
operating
hours
and
we're
no
longer
quarantining
materials
at
all.
So
it's
been
just
a
lot
of
little
stuff
around
the
library
getting
ready
for
that
sort
of
return
to
normal
services,
and
you
know
we.

The
goal
is
to
have
as
much
of
the
experience
of
the
library
that
you
would
have
had
in
february
2020
restored
when
we
you
know,
are
back
to
our
normal
operating
hours,
but
obviously
there
will
be
some
things
that
stay
virtual,
a
lot
of
our
story
times,
there's
going
to
continue
to
be
a
mix
of
the
virtual
and
in
person
there's
you
know
we're
going
to
have
meeting
rooms
and
study
rooms
back,
but
you
know,
mass
face.
Masks
are
still
going
to
be
required
and,
of
course,.

We
are
so
we're
only
seeing
about
five
to
ten
a
day
request
for
curbside
at
this
point
yeah.
So
we
think
that
when
we're
back
to
our
normal
operating
and
some
of
those
are
when
people
are
showing
up
during
our
midday
closures,
and
so
they
have
no
other
way
of
getting
materials,
so
we
anticipate
only
getting
a
handful
a
day
post
restoration
of
normal
operating
hours.

We're
trying
to
figure
that
out,
you
know,
but
but
if
we
have
sufficient
staff
coverage,
we
think
we'll
be
able
to
continue
it,
and
so
that'll
still
just
be
until
five
o'clock
we're
not
gonna,

curbside

five

partly
because
we
have
fewer
staff
in
the
library.
At
that
point,
and
also
partly
for
safety
reasons.
Just
when
it's
dark
outside
it
feels
a
little
less
safe
to
send
people
outside.

marketing
efforts.
We,
if
you
come
in
the
library
now
you'll,
see
that
one
of
our
staff
members,
christina
hughes,
gave
her
credit
designed
and
printed
physical
events
calendars
for
our
may
programs
and
events.
So
we're
going
to
try
to
make
that
a
monthly
thing.
The
children's
team
has
had
a
monthly
handout
for
a
long
time,
but
we
did
not
have
one
that
also
included
adult
programs.

the
website
and
some
digital
services.
We
spent
some
work
this
month.
Michelle
and
I
are
redesigning
the
research
databases
page
making
sure
the
links
are
up
to
date.
We
still
have
a
few
that
we're
trying
to
figure
out
some
minor,
some
minor
issues
with
how
things
are
linking
out
and
and
them
having
to
require
various
forms
of
authentication
when
it
should
just
be
a
link
that
takes
you
straight
into
the
database.
That
sort
of
thing
we
were.
We
spoke
to
a
uiux
student.

It's
actually,
I
believe
it's
mayor,
wilson's
daughter,
who
volunteered
to
consult
with
us
and
and
interview
users
about
our
website
and
our
catalog
user
experience
and
so
she's
going
to
be
meeting
with
us
late
may.
So
we
set
that
up.
I
just
thought:
it'd
be
kind
of
cool
to
get
the
perspective
of
somebody
who's.
You
know
looking
at
this
stuff
from
a
very
different
perspective.
She
was
interested
specifically
in
working
with
the
library.

The
city
of
englewood
was
previously
using
my
emma
the
newsletter
service
email
newsletter
service
to
to
do
those
they're,
switching
to
a
platform
called
gov
delivery,
and
so
myself,
megan
kennedy,
who
is
the
sort
of
supervising
the
the
the
staff
member
who
does
the
email
newsletter
and
then
matt
brock,
west,
the
staff
member
who
actually
puts
together
our
email
newsletter
each
month
we're
all
learning
that
new
platform
so
that
we
can
continue
to
maintain
that
email
newsletter,
and
so
I'm
expecting
in
june.
It'll.

lot
of
daughter.
Different
guys
are,
but
she
enjoys
doing
murals
in
particular,
and
so
we
knew
we
wanted
to
do
that
resources
wall
just
a
place
to
collect.
You
know
resources
and
different
categories,
so
I
think
I
mentioned
this
before
but
she's
working
on
a
resources,
forest
themed,
mural
and
she
began
work
on
it.
This
month.
We've
you
know
bought
supplies.
She
started
she's
primed
the
wall.
We've
got
everything
set
up,
so
over
the
next
couple
weeks
become
busy.

We
had
a
couple
different
contractors
that
we
met
to
talk
about
meeting
rooms
in
the
tech
lab.
We
were
adding
we
late
last
year.
We
we
bought
large
televisions
to
go
into
the
meeting
rooms
as
well
as
a
projector
for
the
tech
lab,
and
we
are
working
with
we've
had
electricians
out
and
as
well
as
well
as
a
sort
of
multimedia
equipment
installer
for
things
like
making
sure
we
have
a
wall
panel
for
your
hdmi
input.

So
if
you're,
a
presenter
you're
coming
into
the
library,
you're
gonna
use
one
of
our
meeting
rooms,
you
need
to
plug
your
laptop
in,
so
you
can
project
if
you're
using
the
tech
lab
or
you
can
use
the
the
tvs.
If
you're
using
one
of
the
meeting
rooms
you
need
to
plug
into
the
hdmi
port
right,
simple
enough.

Well,
the
tvs
have
hdmi
ports
and
you
can
plug
directly
into
those
of
course,
but
those
are
only
rated
for
100,
basically
insertions
of
an
hdmi
cable
over
time,
those
break
down
and
those
are
soldered
directly
onto
the
panel.
So
if
that
breaks
you're
replacing
the
tv,
so
that's
the
sort
of
thing
we're
having
to
deal
with.
You
know
we're
getting
the
multimedia
the
contractor
out
to
have
it
so
that
it's
a
wall
panel,
hdmi
connection
and
then,
if
we
ever
need
to
replace
it,
it's
a
two
dollar
part.

Let's
see
we
for
our
new
services
for
patrons
experiencing
homelessness
and
economic
need,
we
did.
We
got
a
permanent
card
for
the
little
free
pantry
since
that's
been
really
successful
for
us,
and
then
we
coordinated
with
integrated
family
community
services.
Somebody
was
asking
at
the
last
meeting
about
how
we
are
resupplying
that,
and
so
we've
done
a
couple.

We've
done
it
a
couple
of
times
now
and
they've
been
really
helpful,
very
responsive
and
basically
we
tell
them
what
they
they'll
tell
us
where
they
have
extra,
we'll
tell
them
if
there's
anything
in
particular
we're
looking
for
and
then
we
just
have
a
staff
member
come
by
and
do
the
pickup
and
that
somebody
is
able
to
do
that
just
on
their
on
their
way
into
work.
So
we're
really
really
happy
with
how
that's
working
out
the
other
thing
not
listed
here.

I
think
it's
really
important,
though,
is
we
have
been
putting
the
furniture
back
on
the
library,
so
there's
just
more
place
for
people
to
if
who
are
coming
to
library,
they
just
need
a
place
to
be
for
a
little
while
we're
really
we
we're
not
putting
furniture
back
into
the
circle,
the
sort
of
the
main
area
in
as
you
walk
into
the
library
since
we
redid
some
of
the
shelving
there
we
wanted
to.
We
have
some
new
display
shelves
that
are
going
in
there.

We
just
thought
it
was
better
to
leave
that
as
sort
of
a
walkable
space
and
not
try
to
put
a
bunch
of
furniture
in
there
like
we
had
previously,
and
so
we've
been
focusing
on
as
we
as
we're
introducing
the
furniture
just
putting
it
into
the
wings
of
the
library
so
just
sort
of
back
corners
out
of
the
way.
So
it's
a
comfortable
place
for
people
to
be,
but
it's
it's
not
kind
of
in
the
flow
of
traffic.

All

Launching
new
services
for
home
mount
patrons.
We've
resumed
deliveries
on
englewood
at
home,
starting
with
a
few
of
our
patrons
who
live
at
the
meridian,
and
we
have
a
couple
others
around
town
who've
been
requesting
homebound
and
so
we're
just
slowly,
bringing
that
back
up
to
speed.
We
have
a
staff
member
who's
been
running
those.
Previously
we
used
volunteers
for
that
we're
kind
of
exploring
options.

If,
if
it's,
if
it's
the
sort
of
thing
that
makes
the
most
sense
to
have
a
volunteer,
do
that
that'll
be
the
direction
we
go,
but
we
have
a
staff
member
who's
been
interested
in
helping
out
with
that
and
she's
able
to
take
care
of
it
pretty
easily.
So
so
far
the
volume
has
not
been
more
than
she
can
handle.

We're
really
happy
to
be
working
with
those
patrons
again
all
right.
Launching
the
av
recording
studio
we
did
meet.
I
met
with
it
to
discuss
some
preliminary
project
requirements
on
this
one
and
we're
in
the
process
of
researching
similar
projects
that
may
bring
libraries
still
considering
the
scope
of
the
project,
the
degree
to
which
we
want
to
have
some
modularity
on
this
one.

So
I
just
want
I,
I
know
this
was
a
sort
of
a
mid
to
late
2021
project-
we're
not
really
active
on
it
yet,
but
I
did
just
want
to
provide
an
update.
That's
something
we're
still
thinking
about
and
probably
will
get
serious
on
this
one
toward
the
end
of
the
summer
and
then
post
summer,
reading
2021
when
we
have
a
little
bit
more
we're
back
in
the
routine
of
normal
operations,
we'll
get
past
summer
reading
and
then
we'll
be
ready
for
a
project
like
that.

Improving
access
to
local
history
materials,
we
have
a
three
three
staff
members
who
are
doing
just
a
great
job
working
on
the
archive
for
us
it's
in
a
state.
Now,
where
we,
you
know,
we
are
on
the
website.
People
can
set
up
a
time
if
they
want
to
access
the
archive
they
can
come
on
down
and
I
was
not
always
comfortable
with
that.
I
don't
think
libraries
really
even
offered
that
in
quite
some
time,
so
they've
been
organizing
cataloging
materials
from
the
fire
department
and
apparently
that
was
quite
chaotic.

They
described
that
as
the
most
disorganized
collection
in
the
archive,
and
so
that's
where
they
wanted
to
start
and
one
who
one
of
the
staff
members
christine
is
her
name
and
she's,
a
mls
student
and
so
she's
taking
an
archiving
class,
so
they
put
together
finding
guides
which
is
sort
of
a
text
document.
You
know
itemizing
everything.
That's
that's
in
that
part
of
the
archive
and
so
she's
put
that
together
for
her
class
and
we're
gonna.
D
Once
we
have
our
once
she's
able
to
give
us
a
copy
of
it,
completed
we're
gonna,
upload
it
to
the
library's
website
and
we'll
use
that
as
the
template
that
we
follow
for
other
aspects
of
the
archive.
And
that
way,
not
only
will
we
have
on
the
website,
saying
hey,
come
on
down
and
access
this
archive
if
you're
interested,
but
we'll
actually
have
lists
of
everything
that's
available
in
there.
So
it'll
be
something
where
you
you
know:
people
will
be
able
to
anyone.

All
right
other
improvements,
we've
done
a
lot
of
rearranging
of
the
library
we
moved
the
biographies
from
where
they
were
sort
of
past
the
public
restrooms
to
a
more
prominent
position
at
the
front
of
the
non-fiction
area,
so
that
required
shifting
all
the
non-fiction
collection
back
so
that
it
freed
up
the
front
first
range
of
shelves
there
sort
of
between
the
non-fiction
collection
and
the
computers,
and
we
were
able
to
move
the
biographies
on
to
that.
I'm
really.

About
that,
because
I
think
the
biographies
are
such
a
great
collection,
a
lot
of
popular
books
are
biographies
and
they
were
kind
of
hidden
away
in
our
library.
I've
seen
a
lot
of
libraries
will
stick
them
at
the
end
of
non-fiction
sort
of
as
an
afterthought,
but
in
terms
of
like
you
know,
popular
materials
they're
just
much
more
shoppable
than
non-fiction
they're,
much
more
like
a
sort
of
impulse
grab
an
impulse,
read
sort
of
sort
of
thing
so
happy
to
have
the
biographies
more
up
front.

This
this
whole
project
has
been
about
you
know,
taking
those
shelves
that
were
in
that
back
area
past
the
restrooms
moving
the
collections
off
of
them
finding
other
homes
in
the
library.
So
we
can
repurpose
that
shelving.
We've
mounted
it
at
the
back
of
fiction
at
the
back
of
non-fiction,
so
that
gives
us
more
shelving
to
work
with
there
and
also,
I
think
I've
mentioned
previously.

So
when
you
come
visit
the
library,
what
you'll
see
is,
if
you
walk
through
the
fiction
collection,
we're
working
our
way
from
the
back
to
the
front,
the
top,
like
we've
added
a
shelf
up
top
no
items
on
there,
it's
kind
of
above
where
you
can
reach,
but
the
reason
we
did
that
was
just
to
so
that
we
could
continue
to
store
the
shelving,
because
this
stuff
is
very,
very
expensive.
We
don't
want
to
you
know
if
it
goes
into
storage.

We
want
to
make
sure
that
it's
not
accidentally
going
to
oxygen
or
something
where
we're
not
going
to
be
able
to
get
it
back
if
we
ever
needed
it
again,
so
one
in
facilities
has
been
just
wonderfully
helpful
in
this
project.
So
we've
been
really
really
happy
about
this
one.
The
automotive
manual
were
part
of
that
collection.
That's
been
moved
to
the
back
wall
of
non-fiction
and
then
the
reference
collection.

We
have
some
reference
materials,
of
course
we're
going
to
try
to
move
those
up
by
the
reference
desk
so
that
they're
right
there,
when
we
need
them
same
with
the
we're
trying
to
find
a
home
for
the
sort
of
new
americans
collection
like
the
immigration
materials,
some
language
learning
materials
that
sort
of
thing
we're
trying
to
get
that
stuff.
Instead
of
being
the
far
back
the
library
try
to
get
that,
so
that
when
you're
working
with
somebody,
you
don't
have
to
walk
them
all
the
way
to
find
this
sort
of
thing,
they're.

Looking
for
it's,
it's
close
up
front
all
right,
I
mentioned
earlier
the
teens
face:
we've
they
chose
colors,
they
scheduled
the
painter
and
we
think
we're
on
track
to
have
the
room
open
by
the
last
week
of
may
first
week
of
june.
Basically,
when
our
teens
start
coming
back
in
to
volunteer
for
helping
out
with
summer
reading
registration
and
then
just
when
you
know
over
the
summer
as
we
as
when
kids
are
dealt
with
school,
they
start
coming
back
to
library.
So
we
feel
like
we're
on
track
with
that.

we'll
see

knock
on
wood,
we'll

we're
at
after
the
paint
is
done,
but
we're
really
excited
about
that
and
then
last
thing
I
just
want
to
mention
that
kimberly
has
really
was
criminally,

really

reading

she's
always
been
working
out
reaching
out
to
community
sponsors.

think
that
that
is

that
library
newsletter
and
we're
gonna
make
it
very
simple
to
opt
out
so
that,
if
you
choose
not
to
get
it,

won't.

in
order
to
that,
that's

way
we
want
this

work

marmot,
which
is
the
consortium
that
actually
manages
our
ils
for
us,
but
manages
sierra
for
us
to
be
able
to
get
that
list

say

month
we're
getting

list

our
registered
email
addresses
and
then
merging
that
with
the
existing
list,
so
we're
adding
the
new
people
without
actually
accidentally

now

we're
on
the
unified
platform

delivery

the
same
product
from
the
same
company

people
running

cms.

if
you're

familiar
with
what
a
capital
project
is
it's
a
project
that
helps
maintain
or
improve
a
city
assets
and
what
is
what
qualifies
as
a
capital
improvement.
So
it's
not
purchasing
books,
magazines,
computers,
it
is
doing
things
such
as
new
construction
building,
new
new
library
or
expanding
the
library,
doing
some
sort
of
renovation
or
something
that
replaces
something.

so
in
talking
with
mark
and
and
staff.
One
recommendation
that
staff
would
have
is
to
down
the
road
at
a
place
structure
into
the
children's
area,
and
so
that
was
one
idea.
Staff
had
but
it'll
be
up
to
you
all,
also
to
kind
of
analyze.
The
library
come
up
with
some
ideas
of
what
could
be
added
to
our
capital
program
and
then
that's
something
this
time
next
year
we'll
be
taking
to
the
city
manager
to
present
to
him
the
ideas
part
of
the
planning
process
is
identifying
projects.

if
we
came
up
with
20
different
projects,
most
likely,
we
wouldn't
have
the
funding
to
do
all
those
projects,
but
ultimately
we
would
cost
them
out
figure
out
what
a
play
structure
is
going
to
cost,
how
much
it's
going
to
cost
to
install
and
then
we'd
present
that
total
cost
estimated
cost
to
the
city
manager
to
move
forward
with.
We
would
also
want
to
analyze
if
there
are
20
projects
rank
them.
You
know
one
to
twenty.

What's
most
important,
what's
the
least
important
a
lot
of
times
with
capital
projects
with
the
city,
everything
is
important
because
it's
infrastructure
related
and
it
needs
to
be
maintained
or
improved.
So
I
wanted
to
just
let
you
know:
that's
something.
That's
coming
back
to
you
all
for
ideas
and
we'll
have
it
on
the
agenda
probably
a
couple
of
times.
If
not,
we
can
bring
it
up
each
meeting
if
needed.

somebody

idea,
they'd
like

share
and
start
the
list
this
year
and
finalize
it
probably
in
february
of
next
to
have
it
ready
to
present
to
our
city
manager
around
march

it
goes

view
by
council

committees

help

budget.

the
recommendation
is,
we
don't
have
time
to
do
it
this
year,
but
we'll
postpone
it
and
plan
for
it
for
next
year
to
be
implemented
in
2023

the
funding
is
available.

update.

something
new
we
learned.

didn't
know
the
library
board
had
that
authority
to
do
so.

contractual
attorney's
office
was
reviewing
our
charter
and
code
and
happen
to
find
that
we
have
a
handful
of
committees
that
are
very
similar
to
yours.

board

this

recreation
commission
has
that
authority
to
recommend
projects
granted
they're
a
little
different
because
they
have
a
master
plan
park
projects,
playgrounds,
open
space
trails,
so
there's
a
little
bit
more.

definitely
capital
improvement
project
focused,
whereas
the
library
it's
fairly
status
quo.

have
an
operating
budget
and
usually
manage
out
of
that
budget,
but
this
gives
an
opportunity
to
expand
and
it
could
be
down

road
if
the
library
would
ever
move
out
of
its
current
location
into
a
new
location.

to

under
the

inglewood
high
school
puts
on
a
play,

every
year

oh
yeah,
let's
go
to
that
and
we
never
have
gone
until
this
year.
We
went
and
saw
annie,
and
it
was
amazing
and
I
highly
recommend,
checking
out
their
plays
every
year,
whether
you
have
kids
there,
whether
you
have
kids
period,
it
doesn't
matter,
it
was
really
fun.

saw
