adopted

sustainability
plan

that's

we
come
in.
We
play
an
advisory
role
to
city,
council
and
city
staff
on
all
things:
sustainability
for
the
city.
It's
an
exciting
time
to
be

this
commission.
We've
got
new
members
here,
excited
about
that.
We've
we've
had
an
ongoing
speaker
series.
If
you,
if
you
listen
back
to
any
of
the
minutes,
we've
had
a
couple
of
great
speakers
on
on
water
and
urban
forestry,
et
cetera,
et
cetera,
we've
toured
a
pollinator
garden
earlier.

year,
late
last
year,
we've
revised
the
bylaws
we've
advised
the
city
on
the
sustainability
plan
and
provided
feedback.
We've
gotten
a
lot
done
in
six
about
seven
months
now,
but
I
think
we're
at
a
pivotal
point
here
so
over
the
next
few
months.

think
we
can
really
find
some
opportunities
to
get
our
hands
dirty
and
get
involved,
and
with
that
I'm
quite
excited,
so
just
real,
quick,
I
think
we're
moving
on
to
3b
here,
which
we
toured
the
charles
allen
water
treatment
facility
last
month
super
exciting.

they're
doing

great
work

from
that
tour,

opened

lines
of
communication
there

potential
collaboration

water
auditing
and
what
what

this,

the
treatment
plan
doing
to
find
and
identify
and
quantify
water
loss

they're
employing
an
american
water
works
association,

audit
program

really
interesting
and
I'd
be
here
to
hear
the
findings
of
that
in
a
few
years,
but
I
just
want
to
open
up
for
a
few
minutes
to
debrief
that
tour.

opportunity

rights

went
through

2017

action
plan

essentially
excel

give

free
help

creating

implementing
a
plan
dealing
with
energy.
Anyone

kind

were
looking
into
kind
of
what
area
we
wanted
to
go
with
and
with
eb
is
really
taking
flight
and,
with
a
lot
of
federal
funding
coming
around
dd
action,

mean
eb
implementation.

doing

city's
first
ever
ev
action
plan
would
just
be
a
great
way
to
go
into
2023,
so
we
were
looking
for
representation
from
the
sustainability
commission
if
they
wanted
to
provide
a
member,

essentially
what
this
will

that
this
representative
will
come
to
all
the
strategy,
workshops
and
meetings
and
really
be
able
to
give
kind
of
that
community
voice
to.
However,
this
plan
is
created.

minerals

are

they're
mined

sustainability

not
just
greenhouse
gases,
but
it's
also
what's

earth

we're
taking
out
of
it,

can't

have

single
single-colored
trash,
we
can't
really
affect
much
change
with
composting
community-wide,
so
the
best
way
that
we
can
kind
of
start
and
take
that
first
step
is
with
our
own
city
municipal
operations.

funding
which
would
be
good
for
2023
would
cover
full
cost
of
the
composting
program,
as
well
as
a
biannual
education,
outreach
and
events
for
the
public
and
for
city
staff.

works

low-waist

the

waste

who
oversees
parks
and
our
city
manager's

about

steps

we
take
to
help
move
the
city
towards
zero
weights
and
the
best
first
step
for
us,
especially
because
we
don't
have
a
foundation
right
now
for
anything.
Dealing

zero
waste
is
to
first
aim
for
low
waste
events,
so
we're
looking
at
ways.

how
can
we
maybe
collaborate
to
get
composting
for
events
or
even
just
to
increase
like
our
recycling
on
events,

we're
currently
trying
to
figure
that
out
now

anyone
ever

any

recommendations

comments

sustainability

lowest.

thing

all

kind

people

attorney's

program

gave
it

green
light.

latest
next
week,
we'll
have
something
signed
and
sent
over

start
the
process
for
this
whole
start
program
and
to
back
up

give.

completely
free
program
provided

department

energy

essentially
what
you
do
is.

up

this
program,
they
provide
you
technical
advisors

things

development
code
building
codes
and

help
work
with
cities
to
make
to
remove
the
red
tape,
basically
for
solar,
which
is,
is
really
wonderful,
because
a
lot
of
that
stuff
can
be
pretty
time
consuming
and
they're
offering
to
do
it.
For
us
for
free,
a
lot
of
communities
in
colorado
have
already
done
it.
It's
either.

already
have
some
kind
of

smart
designation,
there's,
bronze
silver
gold,
and
so
once
we
start,
we
would
go
through
a
checklist
to
see
where
we
are,
because
maybe
we
automatically
get
the
kind

initial

want
to
go
for
gold,
but
yeah.
They
really
just
walk
us
through
to
see
how
we
can
be
the
most
solar-friendly
city
possible.

we've
started

build
the
sustainability

think
it's
so
much

budget

proposals
anyways.
It's
really
not
any
more
of
an
edition
of
work
for
me
so
going
forward.

2023
for
those
going
forward,

any
of
kind

grueling
stuff
will

be
on

copay

legally
get
rid
of
household
hazardous
waste.
So
it's
a
really
great
event
a
lot
I've
gotten.
So
many
calls
for
people
about
when
this
is
going
to
be
so
I
can
already
tell
it's
very
popular
and
yeah.

there
is
a
lot

desire
for

have
this
day
every
year
throughout
the
city
and
it's
very
important
their
long
days
and
our
charge
to
mel

city
coming

historically
it's

members

the
couple
city
staff
it
makes
for
long
days

to

that's
something
you
are
interested

water
could
percolate
down
through

soil.
They
ripped
up
what
was
a
cement
pond
bottom
and
it
is
in
line
with
what
a
lot
of
cities
are
doing,
which
is
opening
up
natural
waterways
so

water

wish
they'd
tear

and
go
right
in
front
of
big
lots

way
down

it's
a
step
in
the
right
direction,
