From YouTube: EVANSTON RESPONDS - VACCINATION EVENTS
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
How
are
these
events
planned?
So?
Every
week
the
illinois
department
of
public
health
reaches
out
to
the
evanston
health
and
human
services
department
and
tells
us
how
many
vaccines
we
are
going
to
be
receiving
that
week.
Since
supply
is
limited,
we
cannot
order
vaccines
ourselves.
The
state
tells
us
how
much
vaccine
we
will
be
getting
so
from
week
to
week.
We
don't
necessarily
know
how
much
we're
getting
or
when
we
will
be
receiving
it.
A
So
where
does
the
vaccine
come
from?
Vaccine
is
shipped
directly
to
the
evanston
health
and
human
services
department
from
the
vaccine
manufacturers
or
the
illinois
department
of
public
health.
Once
the
vaccine
is
received,
it
is
ensured
that
it
was
kept
at
the
proper
temperature
during
shipment
by
checking
a
data
logger
that
is
included
in
the
shipment.
A
The
vaccine
is
then
added
to
our
inventory
and
stored
in
a
secure
climate,
controlled
environment.
So
how
are
pods
managed
the
day
of
the
pod?
The
city
staff
make
sure
that
the
site
is
ready
to
accommodate
the
hundreds
of
individuals
ready
to
get
vaccinated
that
day.
So
this
can
include
plowing,
snow
clearing,
sidewalks,
setting
up
tables
and
chairs,
making
sure
we
have
all
our
medical
supplies.
A
Proper
signage,
enhanced,
sanitizer,
there's
a
lot
of
events
that
go
in
place
to
make
sure
that
these
pods
run
smooth
and
the
health
and
human
services
department
staff,
along
with
the
evanston
fire
department,
personnel,
our
medical
reserve
corps
and
our
cert
volunteers.
All
work
on
scene
and
behind
the
scenes
to
make
sure
that
these
pods
run
smooth
and
vaccinating
an
entire
community
requires
a
large
coordinated
effort
and
unfortunately,
until
our
supply
increases.
A
It
also
requires
a
lot
of
patience,
but
we
have
a
vaccine
and
there's
light
at
the
end
of
the
tunnel
and
we
are
vaccinating
as
quickly
as
our
supply
allows
us
to
we're
very
happy
to
be
doing
our
part
to
fight
the
end
of
coca-19
and
for
more
information.
You
can.
