A
Hi
good
afternoon,
my
name
is
Darrell
King
I'm
water
production
bureau,
chief
here
with
the
city
of
Evanston
and
I'm
here
at
the
water
treatment
plant
currently
and
I'm
here,
to
tell
you
what
is
the
city
doing
to
ensure
that
drink
that
the
drinking
water
is
safe?
We're
following
the
CDC's
recommended
preventive
actions
to
help
prevent
the
spread
of
kovat
19
is
one
thing
number
two
we're
following
recommendations
by
the
American
Water
Works,
Association
and
other
industry
resources
that
are
available
to
us.
A
We've
identified
the
critical
functions
that
must
be
maintained
as
an
example,
our
disinfection
system
very
important
during
this
time,
and
any
time
for
that
matter.
You
know
as
a
result
of
our
planning
efforts
and
and
just
day-to-day
activities
that
we
do
here
at
the
water
utility.
We
feel
confident
in
the
utilities
ability
to
provide
safe,
clean
water
to
customers
during
this
time
we're
managing
our
staff,
both
essential
and
non-essential,
to
limit
face-to-face
contact.
You
know,
we've
all
heard
the
word
social
distancing.
You
know
that's
going
on.
A
Some
staff
are
working
remotely
and
we're
also
staggering
shifts
with
some
of
our
staff
as
well.
We've
implemented
a
no
visitor
policy
currently
here
at
the
water
utility
during
this
time,
the
dacovia
19
virus
is
particularly
susceptible
to
our
disinfection
process
and
EPA
recommends
that
Americans
continue
to
use
and
drink
tap
water
as
usual
as
they
normally
would
from
day
to
day.
Thank
you
and
have
a
nice
day.
