There's a convenient new way to pay for parking in Evanston pay by license-plate pay stations have been installed in downtown Evanston and nearby business districts, replacing parking meters in these areas using the pace stations as easy. Here's how it works after you park. Look for the nearest pay station on your block. Make sure you know your license. Plate number before leaving your vehicle once you get to a pay station, touch the green button to wake up the station and then press the button again to begin enter your license.

Plate number and push the green button to confirm, insert coins to add parking time or insert a credit card and select the amount of time you'd like to park using the yellow buttons review the information on the screen and push the green button to confirm once your payment has processed choose if you'd like a printed receipt and be on your way, there's no need to display the receipt in your vehicle.

Keep in mind that you can also skip the trip to the pay station by using the park Evanston mobile, app available on the App Store and Google Play.
