Staff
report
that
would
be
rather
unusual,
but
let's
pretend
that
you
do
want
public
transparency
with
regard
to
the
roughly
two
and
a
half
million
dollars
that
you're
putting
out
here
for
the
clipper
arrangement,
we're
calling
it
Murphy's
Bowl,
but
that's
mr.
Ballmer
and
the
Clippers
I
hope
there's
a
staff
report.
G
Clearly
you
didn't
bother
to
put
that
before
the
public
and
you
had
that
little
special
meeting
before
I'm
actually
surprised
you
put
it
in
print
here
but
know
we're
here.
Do
I
see
where
it
refers
to
well
clippers,
we're
supposed
to
know
that
and
Ballmer's
name's
not
here
either.
So
isn't
it
cute
that
you
use
Murphy
school
the
official
name
under
the
impression
that
some
of
us
might
actually
have
believed
the
website
that
showed
a
bowling
alley?
Oh
well,
that
happens.
G
G
C
H
H
Many
people
are
making
the
comparison
of
the
city
of
Inglewood
to
Maywood
and
the
city
of
Bell.
So
thank
you
for
that,
because
we
have
to
fight
for
people
to
not
be
made
fun
of
at
the
microphone.
There's
word
that
you've
done
that
in
the
past,
or
somebody
rolling
their
eyes
or
the
obnoxiousness
of
some
of
the
council
assistance
in
terms
of
responding
to
our
concerns
for
the
community.
H
You've
had
a
history
mayor
by
bringing
a
lot
of
lawsuits,
not
interest
in
this
job
at
in
previous
jobs
and
I'm
questioning
your
authority
over
authorizing
this
three
million
dollars
to
assist
another
stadium,
another
venue
to
come
to
Inglewood.
We
haven't
even
looked
at
the
problems
with
crunky
stadium,
but
we
know
that
there's
quite
a
few
problems
with
the
forum
and
I,
don't
think
you're
forthcoming
in
terms
of
resolving
those
issues
with
a
city.
H
What
I
do
know
is
that
there's
growing
discontent
among
the
residents
and
I.
Thank
you
for
that,
because
we
wouldn't
have
an
awakened
to
our
own
democracy.
If
you
didn't
bring
these
problems
to
us,
we
can't
just
allow
members
who
are
elected
to
take
care
of
problems
for
us.
We
do
have
to
band
together
as
a
community.
H
But
as
soon
as
somebody
criticizes,
you
goes
out
the
door
so
you're
building
something
in
the
community,
but
I
think
it's
awareness
as
to
how
our
democracy
is
run
and
we
definitely
don't
want
to
become
like
Maywood
or
bail,
and
we
definitely
don't
want
assistance
like
hi,
Megha
tear
is
working
for
us.
I
know:
okay,
thank
you
and
again
there
are
people
who
don't
want
to
approve
the
three
million
to
help
Steve
Ballmer's
Clippers
come
to
Englewood.
J
C
C
K
L
C
C
L
C
Right,
thank
you
very
much
so
so
for
this
mr.
Jones.
So
for
this
for
this
entering
to
the
CNA,
so
our
net
is
we're
1.5
million
dollars
a
head
for
engaging
in
this
exclusive
negotiations,
agreement
that
could
result
in
a
NBA
arena.
They
could
add
millions
of
dollars
to
our
general
fund
in
revenues.
Is
that
correct
right.
A
B
I've
been
knowing
these
people
here
for
many
years.
53
years,
president
in
the
beautiful
city
of
Inglewood,
I
can
tell
you
this
and
that's
for
sure
you
can't
die
either.
One
of
these
people
you
see
up
here,
that's
why
the
city
is
so
so
great.
Oh
years
it's
gonna,
be
the
number
one
city
in
the
United
States
and
for
somebody
to
get
up
here,
compare
this
city
to
Bell
California.
They
need
to
do
research.
C
A
District
2
I
too,
would
like
to
talk
about
item
number
6,
the
park
of
recreation,
the
use
of
the
st.
Mary's
Academy
track
field
for
our
youth
I.
It's
full
support
of
this
council
doing
anything
they
can
do
to
make
sure
our
youth
have
a
place
to
get
out
in
the
Sun,
breathe
fresh
air
and
work
their
self
out,
and
maybe
we
might
actually
one
day
have
an
Olympic
star
come
out
of
the
Inglot
area
because
they
was
out
there
doing
we
under
make
sure
you
have
a
place
to
practice
their
skills.

You
mayor
I'd
like
to
give
a
brief
treasurer's
report.
As
of
January
31st,
2018
and
again,
copies
are
available
on
the
table
outside
of
the
council
chambers,
the
city
of
Inglewood
funds
under
management,
total
cash
and
investments,
109
million
one
hundred
and
thirty
thousand
seven
hundred
ninety
nine
dollars
and
the
gross
investment
interest
earnings
to
service
debt.
N
Eighteen
hundred
seventy
two
dollars:
the
girls
invested
with
interest
earnings,
112
thousand
seven
hundred
fifty
nine
dollars
successor
agency,
total
cash
and
investments
on
the
management
of
sixty
eight
million
one
hundred
and
three
thousand
sixty
one
dollars
and
the
gross
investment
interest.
Earnings
to
service
debt
is
twenty
five
thousand
to
forty
six
Housing
Authority
total
cash
and
investment,
one
hundred
and
two
thousand
five
hundred
nineteen
dollars
and
for
the
public
financing
services.
N
Total
cash
in
investments
is
from
twelve
million
seven
to
twenty
seven
thousand
two
hundred
and
thirty
two
dollars
and
the
gross
investment
in
turnings
to
service
debt
is
fifty
eight
hundred
and
thirty
one
dollars
and
the
grand
total
of
total
cash
and
investment
as
of
January
31st
2018
is
190
million,
sixty
three
thousand
six
hundred
and
$11
and
again
there's
a
beautiful
report
on
the
outside
of
the
chambers
with
graphs
and
all
of
the
detail
that
supports
all
the
numbers
that
I
just
gave.
That
concludes
my
report.

A
Good
afternoon
I'd
like
to
address
the
council,
and
mainly
the
people
of
Inglot
and
the
Rotary
Club
Saturday
I
was
able
to
attend
their
give
day
where
the
people
of
Inglewood
took
out
of
their
time.
They
brought
numerous
wheelchairs,
walkers
medical
supplies,
basically
personal
supplies
for
elderly
in
the
city
to
make
sure
they
meet
the
ones
that
needed
were
able
to
have
it
so
I,
don't
know
how
likes
you
had
anything
to
do
with
it,
but
it
was
a
great
event
from
what
I
could
see.
There's
a
lot
of
stuff.
A
B
B
Yes,
school
district,
probably
in
California
I
know
what
happened
to
it
to
people
citizens,
citizens
of
Inglewood
elected
to
go
represent
them.
Do
this
none
of
them's
in
penitentiary
today,
but
they
destroyed
this
school
district.
I
have
a
solution
for
it.
I
would
love
to
see
the
city
take
over
the
school
district.
B
O
Even
a
man
council
I'm
just
here
to
make
a
quick
announcement-
the
Inglewood
ministers
Association
our
prayer
breakfast-
is
coming
up
on
beta
3rd
from
7:00
and
9:00
and
of
course
the
city
has
already
purchased
a
couple
of
tables,
but
we
want
to
open
it
up
to
the
community.
It's
going
to
be
at
the
prowl
bird,
we
back
there
and
tickets
only
as
a
donation
of
$35
and,
of
course,
what's
going
on
in
our
country
and
around
the
world.
O
P
You
good
afternoon,
mayor
city,
council
and
staff
have
a
statement
to
make
I've
been
observing.
Ever
since
we,
you
decided
to
have
the
football
stadium
puttin
out,
the
majority
of
the
residents
say
so
now,
you're
working
for
the
Clippers
to
come
in
that
many
times
that
the
traffic
and
the
congestion
is
going
to
be
incredible.
P
But
I
noticed
all
the
new
landscaping
and
tearing
down
of
hospitals
and
getting
ready
to
put
in
the
high
in
living
quarters
and
with
a
rabid,
jeka
fication
going
on
the
people
who
will
be
here
will
be
able
to
afford
to
go
to
those
games.
There'll
be
the
high
wealthy
quality
people
that
are
taking
the
homes
away
from
the
rich
original
residents
that
are
here
now,
and
it
is
so.
C
P
C
P
P
C
H
N
L
Afternoon,
mayor
council
staff,
Minister
Bailey,
my
my
suggestion
is
with
mr.
AJ.
We
do
need
to
do
something
about
our
schools.
Our
suggestion
is,
since
the
ESPN
is
moving
their
headquarters
to
our
new
stadium.
Why
don't
we
get
some
sponsors?
We
need
the
labs,
we
need
better
teachers,
but
if
we
can
get
them
to
donate
and
contribute
money
to
our
schools,
that
would
be
a
stepping
stone
for
our
children
to
get
better
futures
for
themselves.
These
are
my
suggestions.
L
C
M
Err
counsel,
so
for
those
that
weren't
here
a
couple
of
weeks
ago,
when
I
spoke
about
it,
the
housing
market
is
not
just
an
englis
situation.
It's
a
California
situation.
If
you
own
property,
no
one
can
force
you
to
sell
your
property.
Councilman,
Dodson
and
I
have
spoke
to
quite
a
ton
of
the
seniors
that
were
concerned
because
people
kept
calling
them
about
selling
their
property.
No
one
can
make
you
sell
what
you
own.
So
you
you
can't
lose
your
home
if
you're
a
renter,
it's
not
just
Inglewood
California
as
a
whole.
M
Prices
are
up
all
over
I,
just
came
from
up
north
they're
extremely
high
up
there,
so
it's
no
different
Inglewood
still
has
some
of
the
lowest
rental
rates
in
the
South
Bay.
We
are
the
know,
what's
in
the
South
Bay.
So
if
there's
a
concern,
then
maybe
people
need
to
look
at
moving
out
of
California
because
it
won't
change.
It
has
nothing
to
do
with
the
stadium
be
at
the
Rams
or
the
Clippers.
It
has
to
do
with
the
economics
of
California.
M
C
C
Q
The
first
thing
is
the
school
district.
We
can't
we
have
to
stop
blaming
the
schools
or
the
failure
of
our
children.
We
have
to
start
at
home
with
these
children
and
we
cannot
blame
the
teachers,
because
the
teachers
have
a
lot
of
restrictions
on
them
and
I
blame
the
school
district,
because
the
district
has
a
lot
of
restrictions
on
them.
It
doesn't
just
come
from
the
city,
it
comes
from
the
state
and
then
it
comes
from
the
federal.
Q
Q
We
need
to
keep
the
schools
that
we
have
and
just
make
them
better
by
starting
with
the
parents,
more
parent
participation,
we've
lost
a
lot
of
parent
participation
with
our
children,
that's
what
we've
done
and
as
far
as
the
housing,
no
one
can
make.
You
sell
your
house.
No
one
can
make
you
do
anything.
You
don't
want
to
do
as
far
as
your
house
is
concerned.
Your
house
is
your
house,
your
house
note,
is
your
house
note
you
lose
your
job,
you
lose
your
job,
you
can't
pay
for
your
house.
G
You,
my
name,
is
dancin
Brown,
oh
my,
oh,
my
how
you
twisted
miss
lies
words
and
you
made
it
something
about
it
was
not,
but
anyone
and
everyone
can
go
to
California
eminent
domain
dot-com
and
see
how
your
efforts
to
further
Senate
bill
789
directly
suggested
eminent
domain.
No
one
has
to
take
my
word
for
it.
It's
right
there
in
the
Senate
bill.
Look
at
the
original
look
at
the
changes.
It's
there
with
regard
to
all
the
campaign
contributions.
Yes,
some
of
you
have
in
fact
acted
as
if
you
have
been
purchased
wholesale.
G
I
would
ask
that
you
immediately
post
the
yes
that
you
post
to
the
state
of
California,
as
you
should
have
already
the
payroll
figures
for
last
year.
That
is
the
state
requirement.
Do
you
really
want
a
lawsuit
from
them?
I'm
not
paying
for
it
all
out,
then
pay
for
it.
With
regard
to
the
individual
that
you
played
mr.
interrogation
for
I
asked
for
staff
report,
you
turned
it
into
that
cute
little
display
by
the
way
we're
paying
his
salary
right.
R
You
mayor
I
want
to
congratulate
the
police
department.
We
had
a
wonderful
batts
everyone
this
morning
and
it
was
the
largest
eyewitness
since
I've
been
here.
I
want
to
congratulate
them
because
it
took
a
lot
of
work
to
get
these
guys
to
this
point,
and
we
want
the
best
and
I
think
this
class
shows
the
quality
of
people
were
getting
to
be
police
officers.
Here
this
past
Saturday
I
was
able
to
go
to
a
grand
opening
right
here
in
Inglewood
young
ladies
opening
cycle
and
training
center
right
here
on
nutwood
and
I
was
glad.
R
I
went
because
Angela
Bassett
and
her
husband,
Cory
Vance,
also
attended
that
grand
opening,
so
it
just
showed
you
the
quality
of
people
that
are
moving
their
businesses
here.
So
I
was
glad
to
see
that
and
I'm
glad.
Some
of
you
realized
what's
happening
here
in
England.
It
is
not
England.
If
you
watch
the
news
or
anything
like
that,
you
will
see
California,
it's
all
about
the
dirt.
They
can't
make
any
more
dirt
and
California
is
getting
crowded.
Everybody
wants
to
live
in
California,
it's
supply
and
demand.
It
has
nothing
to
do
with
this
diet.
R
R
So
if
the
price
is
gonna,
go
up
and
that's
not
only
just
an
englis
anywhere
and
if
you
up
north,
this
is
cheap
compared
to
up
north.
So
I
I
would
think
that
we
should
be
grateful
that
these
people
have
chosen
in
wood
is
a
place
to
start
their
business,
but
these
are
gonna,
be
jobs
for
our
children.
Kids,
who
go
to
school,
get
the
education
come
back
home
they'll
have
a
job.
They
can
apply
for
a
job
right
here
at
home.
They'll
have
to
go
all
the
way
to
North
New
York.
R
To
get
it
so
that's
the
way
I
look
at
it.
So
I
hope
that
some
of
you
will
realize
that
and
they'll
be
job
for
seniors
as
well
little
part-time
jobs.
You
know
business
makes
room
for
everybody,
but
you
got
to
be
willing
to
work
and
willing
to
do
what
it
takes.
So
with
that
you
all
have
a
wonderful
rest
of
your
day
and
a
great
rest
of
your
week.
R
E
In
Englewood
I'm,
not
talking
about
outside
of
Inglot,
but
in
Englewood
dropped,
12
percentage
points
from
seventeen
and
a
half
to
five
and
a
half,
that's
a
great
employment.
We
want
to
drop
it
even
more,
you
know,
so
we
want
to
get
more
jobs
and
it's
not
just
about
finding
jobs
for
our
youth.
We
also
have
our
seniors
that
want
to
get
back
in
the
workforce,
and
so
it's
about
trying
to
help
everyone.
E
That
being
said,
last
Saturday,
you
know
we
did
host
over
at
the
district
to
community
center,
along
with
the
Rotarians
the
giving
back
day
a
gifting
day
where
we
collected
supplies
for
the
seniors,
as
well
as
rockers
wheelchairs,
all
the
amenities
that
they're
gonna
need
to
help
make
their
life
better.
The
community
some
was
outstanding,
so
I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
coming
out
to
support
this
event.
I
want
to
thank
the
mayor
and
the
other
council
members
and
staff
that
also
came
out
to
show
their
support
as
well.
E
E
So,
please,
if
you
know
any
of
them,
please
recognize
them
even
more
so
this
week,
I
got
a
couple
of
upcoming
events:
Saturday
May,
19th
I'm,
having
an
art,
show
here
in
in
district
2
on
Centinela
at
True,
Vine
Church
there'll
be
more
information
coming,
but
it's
a
save
the
date
for
Saturday
May
19th
from
10:00
to
4:00.
It's
gonna,
be
a
really
nice.
E
Art
show
with
a
lot
of
our
local
artists
that,
following
Saturday
is
Fire
Service
day
so
I'm
teaming
up
with
the
mayor
and
the
council
and
to
put
together
the
fire
service
day
here
in
Inglewood
and
it'll,
be
at
station
1,
71
or
172
right
sitting,
Ellen
Hyde
Park-
and
this
is
a
fire
service
day.
That's
for
the
region
in
this
area.
So
it's
not
specifically.
You
know
it
like
a
district
to
fire
service
day.
E
It's
a
regional,
so
they're
gonna
have
fire
trucks
and
equipment
from
LA
County
they're
on
display
for
the
community
to
see
what
it
is
they
do
and
the
equipment
that
they
have
we're
gonna
do
a
pancake
breakfast,
followed
by
some
hotdogs
and
stuff
later
in
the
afternoon.
Also,
the
big
I
need
another
five
minutes.
No.
C
E
I'll
be
done
in
a
minute
all
right,
so
also
just
a
reminder.
We
have
Earth
Day
coming
up.
The
city
puts
on
an
outstanding
Earth
Day
Festival,
Rose
Roy,
so
be
out
there
as
part
of
the
entertainment
and
that's
on
Saturday,
April
21st,
so
that'll
be
part
of
the
other
council
members
minutes.
Thank
you.
E
K
Had
to
badging
ceremony
today
and,
like
you
heard,
councilman
Padilla
I
acknowledge
that
there
was
12
officers
that
came
on
board.
Actually,
there
was
nine
new
officers,
but
three
officers
were
promoted
in
addition
to
a
half
a
dozen
of
support
staff,
the
dispatchers
accepted
through
the
internal
work
that
also
came
on
board.
I
just
want
to
thank
the
council
member
Padilla
and
the
Rotary
Club
for
an
outstanding
day
of
gift
gifting
for
seniors.
Yes,
there
was
a
ton
of
wheelchairs,
rollers,
walkers,
shower
chairs,
etc.
K
That's
going
to
be
made
available
for
the
Senior
Center
for
those
that
need
them
to
continue
to
provide
the
quality
of
life
issues
then
also
I
do
want
to
reach
out
to
Alice
a
Sabrina
Barnes
and
by
particular
person,
miss
Sandra
green
for
the
Relay
for
Life
survivor
celebration.
Some
of
us
are
cancer
survivors,
I'm
14
years
as
a
survivor,
and
that
we
had
a
special
outing
for
us
and
to
reflect
that
we
are
still
family
as
together
and
also
we
embraced
several
of
them.
K
D
You
and
just
to
continue
some
of
that
there
will
be
parks
in
in
my
area
that
are
gonna
get.
You
know
some
of
the
equal
upgrades
and
have
been
and
the
the
bathrooms
have
been
improving
and
I
mentioned
those
things,
because
those
are
the
things
that
we
start
to
see
as
our
city
is
growing.
Those
are
things
that
we
have
not
been
able
to
have.
You
know
there
was.
There
was
parts
without
restrooms
for
many
years.
D
We
used
to
train
all
of
our
future
police
officers.
They
last
maybe
a
year
here
and
then
they'd
leave,
so
it
would
cost
us
money
to
train
them
and
then
we'd
lose
them.
So
that's
awesome
to
see
in
terms
of
what
we're
seeing
in
terms
of
the
traffic
and
parking
hey.
You
know,
there's
there's
good
traffic
and
bad
traffic.
D
I
just
had
a
conversation
with
the
large
community
that
was
concerned,
not
only
that
they
had
heard
that
people
were
gonna
take
their
homes,
which
is
not
true,
but
they
were
concerned
about
how
the
impact
on
parking
and
traffic
is
gonna
take
place.
Well,
those
are
things
that
we're
addressing.
Now.
You
may
not
see
the
results
yet,
but
those
are
questions.
We're
asking
ourselves.
D
Staff
is
working
on
and
we
hope
that
our
first
run
at
our
solutions
will
make
it
work
and
if
they
don't
we'll
fix
it
again,
you
know
as
we
go,
because
we're
not
going
to
hold
back
the
improvement.
We're
gonna
succeed
with
our
improvements.
So
that
being
said,
mayor
I
would
like
to
close
I
know.
We
all
attended
dr.
Heckman
mother's
service
memorial,
service
and
I
would
like
to
close
in
her
honor
and
I.
Forget
her
first
name
but
I
know
it's.
C
Going
to
going
to
talk
briefly
about
the
city
in
its
progress
now,
a
lot
of
you
are
here
a
long
time.
Council,
attendees
and
I'm
sure
you've
noticed
the
change
types
of
complaints.
There
are
about
the
city,
some
more
complaints
about
paving
roads,
trimming,
trees,
no
more
complaints
about
the
lack
of
jobs
in
the
city,
no
more
complaints
about
why
we
don't
have
any
prospects
to
have
better
detail
vendors.
C
Now
the
complaints
are
things
like
multi-million
dollar
development
agreements.
Playing
at
the
city
is
spending
money
on
them
when
all
those
costs
are
reimbursed
by
the
people
that
want
to
develop
unheard
of
when
to
engage
in
these
developments
we
are,
the
city
is
paid
non-refundable
amounts
up
to
a
million
and
a
half
dollars.
These
are
the
kind
of
complaints
we
have
now
vetting
complaints
about
people
being
forced
to
leave
their
homes
and
when
the
simple
question
is
asked,
how
are
people
being
forced
to
leave
their
homes?
C
There
will
be
a
change
slightly
in
demographics,
but
it'll
take
time
and
to
what
it's
a
badge
of
honor
now
for
the
complaints
to
be
that
we're
a
desirable
City.
That's
that's
part
of
the
complaint
right
now
that
we're
becoming
too
desirable,
and
you
know
what
and
the
council
has
no
shame
for
that,
so
want
to
congratulate
councilman
tear
for
two
events.
He
had
a
welcoming
ceremony
for
new
residents
in
district
two
at
the
community
center
and
he
also
had
a
great
event
to
collect
apparatus
for
the
elderly.
M
M
C
Big
thing
before
was
our
people
were
leaving
Oh
Lydia
ving
would
is
an
entirely
different
place
and
I'm
extremely
pleased
at
the
quality
of
complaints.
We
have
now
from
misinformation
about
what
we're
really
not
spending
to
attract
development
to
the
police
department
now
being
attractive
place
to
work.
I
want
to
close
the
meeting
in
the
name
of
Beverly
him
Baden
booth
and
in
the
name
of
Tehran
Hekmat,
the
mother
of
doctor
Sohail
Hekmat
of
Hillcrest
medical
and
we're
adjourned.
