And
any
person
wish
you
dressed
the
council
on
any
of
the
items
on
today's
agenda
may
do
so
at
this
time.
Hearing
no
comment,
we'll
close
public
go.
We
got
one
well,
no.
This
is
the
only
thing
on
the
agenda
right
now:
okay,
well
cool
close
public
comment
and
we
have
a
commendation
or
Lorraine
Shaw,
a
member
of
the
Dartmouth
Luther
King
junior
planning
committee,
and
it
says,
whereas
in
January
of
1984,
the
city
of
Ingrid
hosted
the
first
annual
dr.
A
Martin
Luther
King
Day
celebration
at
Darby
part
the
event
was
developed,
planned
and
organized
by
committee
composed
of
the
residents
chosen
by
the
mayor
and
city
council.
Today,
dr.
Martin
Luther
King
Day
planning
committee
remains
an
integral
part
of
the
planning
process,
the
primary
role
of
the
committee's
to
offer
ideas
and
perform
tasks
related
to
strategic
and
logistical
planning
and
whereas
Lorraine
Shaw
has
served
faithfully
as
a
member
of
the
dr.
Martin
L
King
Martin
L
King
jr.
planning
committee
for
over
20
years.
A
Lending
her
support
ideas
and
resources
and
been
a
true
supporter
of
education
is
served
diligent
diligently
on
the
committee
for
the
speech
contest
subcommittee
for
over
15
years,
a
task
that
she
has
looked
forward
to
every
year
and
whereas
Lorraine
Shaw
was
a
dedicated
member
who
served
in
sickness
and
in
health.
She
may
commit
it
to
the
planning
committee,
even
though
she
was
no
longer
able
to
physically
attend
the
meetings.
A
She
is
often
called
to
check
in
with
staff
inquire
about
the
number
of
speech
contest
entries
and
offered
to
help
wherever
she
could
miss
Shaw
passed
in
2017
and
whereas
miss
Shaw,
mrs.
Shaw
has
left
a
great
legacy.
Her
children's
desire
to
continue
the
great
life
of
service
demonstrated
by
their
mother,
mrs.
Shaw's,
daughter,
Cheryl
Shaw
Williams,
has
committed
to
serve
on
the
2019
dr.
Martin
L,
King
jr.
planning
committee
to
honor
her
mother
and
celebrate
the
joy
of
service
to
others
and
whereas
dr.
A
King
said
not,
everybody
can
be
famous,
but
everybody
can
be
great
because
greatness
is
determined
by
service.
Lorraine
Shaw
was
such
a
great
woman.
Now,
therefore,
let
it
be
let
it
be
known
that
the
mayor
and
councilmembers
of
the
city
of
England
California
to
hereby
recognize
the
dedication
and
outstanding
service
of
lorraine
Shaw
may
she
serve
as
a
great
example
of
what
it
means
to
be
of
service
to
others,
presented
the
sixth
day
of
February
2018,
and
we
have
the
daughters
and
I
believe
a
granddaughter
here
to
celebrate
this
alright.
E
Very
very
dedicated
to
the
city
of
Inglewood,
as
well
as
to
the
MLK
committee,
and
she
art
and
diligent,
like
you
said
until
she
was
unable
to
attend
the
meetings,
but
she
always
checked
in
to
see
what
she
can
do.
Thank
you
for
honoring
her
and
her
legacy.
I
look
forward
to
working
on
the
2019
MLK
committee.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank.
F
G
D
A
Before
I
call
for
the
vote,
so
people
understand
this
is
paid
by
incremental
tax
funding
from
the
Redevelopment
Agency,
and
these
monies
could
not
be
used
for
anything
but
a
purpose
in
furtherance
of
the
commitments
of
the
agency
made,
and
this
is
for
the
Locust
Street
parking
structure
number
two
that
is
being
modernized.
Madam
Clerk,
yes,.
H
A
I
A
K
You
mayor,
but
to
give
a
brief
or
report
at
October,
31st
2017
for
the
city
of
Inglewood
and
the
funds
under
management
for
the
city
of
Inglewood
is
71
million
four
hundred
and
thirty
six
thousand
and
sixty
one
dollars
and
the
debt
service
$120
interest.
Earnings
is
one
hundred
five
thousand
seven
hundred
sixty
three
dollars
for
the
successor
agency.
K
Sixty
five
million
five
hundred
ten
$179
under
management
and
the
debt
service
in
earnings
is
twenty
four
thousand
six
hundred
and
sixty
four
dollars:
Housing
Authority,
one
hundred
two
thousand
four
hundred
and
four
dollars:
public
finance,
113
million
five
hundred
eighty
two
thousand
two
hundred
ninety
three
dollars
and
the
debt
service
earnings
is
sixty
one
hundred
and
three
dollars.
Total
funds
under
management
at
October,
31st
2017,
is
one
hundred
and
fifty
million
dollars.
K
Six
hundred
thirty
thousand
nine
hundred
and
thirty
seven
dollars
and
I
did
have
one
two
bonds
that
that
were
called
last
week
and
I
did
replace
those
with
another
investment
in
a
Freddie
Mac
at
255
coupon.
That
concludes
my
report
and
there
are
copies
of
the
treasurer's
report
on
the
counter
outside
for
each
of
you,
Thank
You,
mayor.
A
A
L
We
focus
on
Skid
Row.
You
have
a
lot
of
the
homeless,
that's
recently
new
for
me
as
the
rent
non
stabilization,
a
lot
of
the
people
who
are
becoming
homeless
end
up
in
Skid
Row,
so
guess
who
has
to
take
care
of
it,
LA
City,
all
right,
so.
Secondly,
why
isn't
Inglewood
financing
the
one-stop
across
the
street
only
works
in
this
area?
Computers
are
down,
there's
no
printer,
that's
working!
You
have
less
than
enthusiastic
employees
there,
and
this
is
supposed
to
be
a
job
research
place
I
mean
come
on.
L
We
got
to
do
better
if
you're
gonna
build
a
3.2
billion
dollar
stadium.
Let's
get
the
little
things
done.
Lastly,
a
hundred,
not
what
Avenue
we
required
about
it
met
with
mr.
Jackson
about
it.
You
gave
it
to
a
four
million
dollar
realtor
right
now.
We
need
that
for
the
schools
to
build
a
Performing
Arts
Center,
a
digital
Resource,
Center,
okay.
So
let's
get
things
done.
Thank.
A
M
Levin
also
a
conscious,
objective
mayor,
don't
cherry-pick
put
this
on
PBS
or
wherever
you
televise.
It
had
a
beautiful
reporter.
The
results
of
what
these
gentlemen
have
been
I'll,
be
speaking
on
my
issue,
which
is
all
stems
from
it,
trickle
down
from
the
military
to
civilization
of
civilians
after
mr.
M
Anyway,
Samir
he
took
three
of
my
pole
in
my
seconds
anyway,
as
you
know,
they're
tripping
over
themselves
in
Congress
all
the
way
down
to
Maxine
Waters
and
everybody
else
screaming
retiring
talking
about
transparency.
Transparency
is
nothing
more
than
a
propagandist
issue.
This
is
treason
what
these
people
have
been
doing
to
the
Constitution
in
one
of
you,
military
or
civilian.
They
need
to
be
tried
under
whatever
system
Sylvia.
You
know
military
charged
with
treason,
espionage,
racketeering,
conspirators
and
collaborators.
M
C
Yes
and
the
mayor
I'd
like
to
just
say
a
couple
things
about
what's
gone
in
the
last
two
weeks,
we've
had
to
live
performances
here
in
the
city,
who
wouldn't
want
a
miracle
theater,
which
was
a
very
good
play.
I
was
unfortunately
not
able
to
make
the
one
at
the
Playhouse
this
Saturday,
but
I
understand
it
was
a
overflow
audience.
So
it
was
a
very
good
play,
obviously,
because
we
win
so
I
want
to
encourages.
We
keep
supporting
these
theaters.
These
live
performances
are
very
important
for
the
city
of
Englewood.
C
J
Mr.
Bailey
and
I
have
a
bit
of
an
issue
with
the
big
G
market
supermarket
or
a
liquor
store,
that's
located
on
Inglewood
in
Manchester
Avenue.
It's
been
there
abandoned
for
the
last
oh
six
years,
and
is
there
anything
we
can
do
to
get
that
building
either
used
or
some
kind
of
other
than
a
liquor
store?
That's
been
abandoned
in
our
city.
For
so
long,
can
you
give
me
the
owners?
Number
I
will
talk
to
him
and
a
very
wild
man
a
way
to
get
this
building.
J
B
Afternoon
mr.
mayor
members
of
the
council
staff
and
residents
of
the
city
of
Englewood,
my
name
is
Sam
pinion,
I'm
honored
to
be
been
appointed.
The
new
executive
vice
president
of
the
Englewood
lax
Chamber
of
Commerce.
First
of
all,
I'd
like
to
thank
mr.
Eric
holic,
firs
years
of
service,
really
appreciate.
B
I
know
we
have
some
big
shoes
to
fill
and
there's
a
lot
of
projects
coming
on
board
that
we
have
to
get
up
to
speed
on,
but
I
only
bantered
really
enthusiastic
phone
calls
and
had
some
really
nice
messages
of
the
things
that
we
were
doing
in
the
past
and
the
things
that
we're
about
to
do
in
the
future.
So
again,
my
name
is
Sam
Pena.
We
are
open
for
business.
B
F
At
crowd,
overflow
crowd
and
the
play
was
awesome.
Everyone
and
every
person
in
in
this
country
should
see
that
play
so,
educational
everybody
in
that
was
crying.
You
know,
and
it's
it's
it's
it's
awesome
and
we're
gonna
have
another
play
on
the
17th
to
this
and
I
sure
would
like
to
see
the
mayor
and
the
council.
People
come
because
you
really
gonna
be
surprised.
It's
awesome.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank.
A
I
I
They
did
experience
a
third
grader,
doing
an
experiment
that
I
didn't
see.
Til
I
got
in
high
school.
So
if
they're
doing
those
kind
of
good
things-
and
these
kids
are
anxious
and
willing
to
learn
they,
they
all
want
to
show
us.
How
show
me
their
projects
I
couldn't
see
them
all.
Cuz
I
went
to
every
grade,
but
everywhere
I
went,
they
were
pulling
me
and
told
me
come
on.
Want
you
to
see
my
project.
Look
at
my
project.
What
I
did
so
to
me.
I
I
Mark
yo
Calvin
this
Saturday
to
come
out
to
this
reading
event,
because
we
don't
want
you
to
forget
and
then
tell
me
next
week
that
when
is
my
shredding
event
well
now
I've
sent
it
out
on
your
email,
I'm
telling
you
from
the
DEA's
I've
done
everything
I
could
do
so
I
catch
you
by
the
hand
and
take
you
down
here.
So
this
this
Saturday
and
the
I
cop
Center.
Please
show
up.
I
I
She
is
local
product
she's
been
producing
around
the
area.
She
we
are
lucky
enough
to
have
her
performers
at
this
play
house,
and
the
name
of
this
play
that
she'll
be
doing
is
out
of
the
West
woman
of
the
plains,
and
she's
gonna
play
three
different
characters.
So
please
set
your
sights
and
come
out
to
see
this
play
on
February
17th
at
7
o'clock
and
be
there
early,
because
the
seats
go
fast,
but
that
thank
you
very
much,
I
think
you're.
All
for
coming.
I
always
appreciate
that.
H
Mayor
appreciate
it
yeah
just
a
couple
of
quick
things.
You
know
else
when
Dawson
talked
about
a
shredding
event
and
I
gotta
tell
you
what's
so
important
about
those
events
is
when
you
bring
your
documents
and
folks
are
always
hesitant
to
bring
confidential
documents
to
our
shredding,
avenges
and
and
I
get
it
because
it's
you
know
your
your
paperwork,
but
you
get
to
see
it
actually
go
into
the
Machine
and
get
shredded.
So
it's
not
like
you're
dropping
it
off
and
you
leave
and
you're
just
kind
of
like
hoping
it
got
shredded.
H
H
Also,
you
know
I'd
like
to
thank
Chris
Jackson
and
his
staff,
Mindy
and
and
everybody
else
in
the
economic
development
department.
I
want
to
thank
the
police
department
for
their
help
at
9:21
Edgewood
for
several
years,
we've
had
an
abandoned
apartment.
Building
that
had
been
an
eyesore
folks
had
taken
it
over
and
and
started
living
in
their
makeshift.
They
had
somehow
filled
a
way
to
get
power
in
there.
So
you
know
they
were
really
using
it
up
when
we
kept
running
them
out.
They'd
come
back,
run
them
out
well.
H
Finally,
this
last
week
we
worked
with
the
property
owner
and
we
had
the
building
demolished.
So
I
want
to
thank
the
property
owner,
but
just
as
importantly,
I
want
to
thank
our
folks,
our
staff
for
making
sure
that
we
had
a
smooth
process
and
they
had
people
on
site
to
make
sure
there
was
no
hiccups,
the
police
department,
god
bless
them.
H
They
were
out
there
Oh
dark
thirty
in
the
morning
and
and
in
the
evening,
to
make
sure
none
of
these
folks
came
back
in,
but
it's
all
demolished
and
now
we're
gonna
move
forward
to
the
next
phase.
I
pal
the
ingrid
police
departments,
police
activities,
League
last
Wednesday,
as
I
mentioned
last
week
from
the
diets
they
were
doing
a
fundraiser
at
Pfister,
Martine,
well,
I
gotta
tell
you
was
a
huge
success.
H
I
want
to
thank
everybody
that
came
out
to
support
the
police
activities
League
to
help
them
raise
money
so
that
they
can
take
these
young
men
and
women
out
to
community
events
to
sporting
events
and
enjoy
these.
These
things
that
sometimes
we
take
for
granted.
So
I
want
to
thank
sergeant
Ferrara
for
taking
the
lead
on
that
and
making
sure
we
had
a
great
turnout
and
also
the
Martine
family
for
donating
their
facility
as
far
as
making
sure
that
people
came
and
had
a
good
time,
five,
ten
North
LaBrea,
it's
a
new
business.
H
It's
going
to
break.
Do
the
ribbon-cutting
this
Friday
sampanna
who's.
Now
the
as
you
mentioned,
the
executive
vice
president
will
be
there.
I'm
hoping
Eriko
show
up
for
a
memorial
sake,
because
you
helped
me
get
started
with
doing
all
these
ribbon
cuttings
and
they're
a
huge
success,
and
especially
for
some
of
our
small
business
owners.
You
know
that
you
know
we,
the
big
projects
I
get
it,
but
also,
let's
not
forget
about
the
mom
and
pops.
They
want
to
continue
to
thrive
with
their
businesses
here
in
Englewood.
H
So
it's
called
who
says:
Mexican,
Grill
and
juice
bar
it's
at
510,
north
LaBrea.
If
you
get
a
chance,
we're
gonna
do
the
ribbon-cutting
this
Friday
at
11:30
in
the
morning
I
also,
you
know
mr.
Vaughn,
my
commissioner
mentioned
that
he
couldn't
go
to
an
event
Saturday
night.
Well,
that's
because
it
was
his
birthday
and
I
want
to
wish
him
a
happy
birthday.
Jim
happy.
N
Just
two
brief
announcements:
one
is
I
keep
getting
a
number
of
inquiries
as
to
win.
Is
that
the
district
for
town
hall
meeting
that
took
place
on
Wednesday
January
24th
is
going
to
be
televised
and
I've
just
been
advised
that
this
week
it
will
be
on
that
the
city's
website
on
our
youtube
link,
so
you
can
catch
it
there.
The
other
calls
I
keep
getting
and
inquiring.
N
It
has
to
do
with
the
only
Park
in
district
4,
which
is
center
part,
which
is
111th
Street
and
Yukon
immediately
behind
Worthington
elementary
school,
we're
working
to
make
sure
we
get
the
final
apparatuses
in
place
and
the
game
plan
is
to
be
able
to
have
it
open
by
the
no
later
than
the
end
of
this
month.
That
note
everyone
have
a
blessed
day.
Thank
you.
Thank.
F
A
It's
fascinating
nowadays
how
often
the
mayor
of
Inglewood
is
invited
to
speak
in
Beverly,
Hills
West,
Hollywood,
Redondo
Manhattan,
you,
you
know
the
things
are
kind
of
changed
in
when
they
want
to
know
how
we
think,
okay,
so
I
just
wanted
to
tell
you
that's
a
tribute
to
growth
in
this
community,
not
just
economically,
but
the
social
inteligencia
of
where
we've
come
to.
As
of
a
group
and
I
want
to
really
say.
A
Thank
you
to
the
council
members,
because
we've
gone
from
being
known
as
a
joke
of
a
council
years
ago
to
some
a
body
that
really
takes
care
of
business,
a
body
that
knows
how
to
cultivate
an
economy
and
an
accounts
that
knows
how
to
create
jobs,
we're
very
proud
of
that
and
with
that
I'm
going
to
close
the
council
meeting
in
the
name
of
three
people:
co-pastor
George,
F,
Clark,
Deacon,
Marlon,
Pettaway
and
Charles
Hodges
jr.
we're
adjourned.
Thank
you.
