I
to
diane
serrano,
would
appreciate
it.
They
actually
have
staff
report,
but
hey
the
joke.
Is
we
actually
have
the
chief
here
for
a
meeting,
so
you've
probably
already
planned
that
he
would.
We
haven't
seen
him
for
quite
some
time,
but
I
certainly
hope
it's
a
report
worthy
of
as
you
guessed,
the
half
million
dollars
that
we're
paying
him
and
I'd.
Also
like
the
explanation
for
how
one
two
weeks
thing,
a
nice
meeting
could
be
worth
61
thousand
dollars
a
year
that
we're
gonna
have
to
pay
on
a
pension.
E
It's
unfortunate
to
me
that
mark
has
been
here
for
so
long
and
has
not
actually
been
here
to
address
the
council
on
a
regular
basis,
even
though
he
has
been
very
handsomely
rewarded
for
the
260
office,
persons
that
he
more
or
less
does,
support
or
well
I,
don't
know
support
that.
He
is
got
supervision
over.
So
hopefully,
we'll
hear
from
you
mark.

I
Honorable
mayor
and
members
of
the
City
Council
on
behalf
of
the
LED

or
the

It
is
our
pleasure
to
honor
the
city
of
Inglewood
as
the
most
business-friendly
City
finalists
for
the
second
year
in
a
row
and
to
recognize
your
leadership,
your
commitment
to
being
business
friendly,
your
excellent
economic
development
programs,
your
job
and
business
creation
and
our
economic
development
partnership.
I'm
joined
tonight
by
my
dear
and
esteemed
le
DC
colleague,
le
DC
business
assistance
area
director
Barbara
Levine.
I
Over
the
past
few
months,
the
LA
ADC
business
assistance
and
development
team
has
been
working
hard
to
respond
to
changes
driven
in
large
part
by
our
region's
continually
evolving
economic
challenges
and
opportunities.
As
part
of
this
change
process,
we
have
restructured
our
teams.
Geographic
coverage
and
Barbara
now
covers
the
city
of
Inglewood.
In
you,
Inglewood
excuse
me,
Ingle,
Inglewood,
City
Hall
is
an
organization
with
in
abundance
of
talent.
You
will
be
pleased
to
know
that
Barbara
brings
with
her
an
abundance
of
talent
and
experience
in
the
field
of
economic
development
as
well.
I
As
California's
only
business-friendly
City
award,
the
most
business-friendly
City
program
recognizes
cities
that
economic
development.
That's
our
priority
are
committed
to
providing
high-quality
services
at
reasonable
rates
and
deliver
services
beyond
expectation,
MB,
FC
award
challenges,
cities
to
create
an
environment
conducive
for
business
retention
and
expansion
in
all
industry
sectors
to
attract
and
retain
good
quality
jobs
and
encourage
new
business.
Investment
in
Englewood
was
a
finalist
last
year.
Congratulations
for
being
a
finalist
again
this
year.
Please
allow
me
to
again
introduce
your
new
LED
C
area
director
for
business
assistance
and
development.
J
You
mayor
city
council,
as
my
colleague
and
friend
Jose
mentioned,
it's
our
great
pleasure
to
honor
the
city
of
Inglewood
as
a
finalist
for
this
award
and
it
thrills
me
even
more
to
have
the
opportunity
to
work
with
each
and
every
one
of
you
and
your
Economic
Development
Department,
and
your
business
community
and
I
give
you
my
commitment
and
I
endeavor
to
continue
our
economic
development
partnership
between
the
LA
EDC
and
the
fine
city
of
Englewood.
It's
a
strong
partnership
and
joah
successfully
supported
it
and
we've
all
embraced
the
city.
J
The
Eddy
Awards
have
become
one
of
the
most
procedures
programs
in
California.
It's
attended
by
over
600
of
the
region's
leaders
to
recognize
exceptional
economic
development,
leadership
in
business
and
government
throughout
LA
County.
Well,
in
addition
to
most
business-friendly
City,
we're
honoring,
a
corporate
honoree
of
American
Airlines
education,
honoree
of
Cal
Poly
Pomona,
an
individual
honoree
of
Beatrice
Acevedo
you're
in
good
company
with
other
large
City
finalists
and
a
large
city.
J
We
define
as
cities
with
population
of
over
50,000
you're
in
company
with
Rosemead
and
Whittier,
and
our
small
city
finalists
would
be
Azusa,
Duarte,
Monrovia,
San,
Gabriel
and
Santa
Fe
Springs.
Well,
we
all
here.
We
all
hear
how
hard
it
is
to
do
business
in
California,
but
your
compact
and
you
have
some
new
businesses
that
certainly
make
you
shine.
You
have
a
commitment
to
being
business
friendly.
The
cornerstone
of
Englewood
success
has
been
your
consistent
focus
and
your
ability.
J
These
several
items
that
were
picked
up
by
your
blue-ribbon
panel
of
judges
business
license
approval
new
in
five
days
renewal.
One
day
no
tax
increases
over
the
last
fiscal
year,
an
automated
customer
satisfaction,
survey,
process
from
planning
and
building
and
safety
that
are
reviewed
by
staff
in
the
city
manager
and
will
easily
identify
areas
of
improvement.
The
city
requires
major
developments
to
commit
a
30%
local
higher
goal,
and
it's
nice
that
the
South
Bay
web
has
a
one-stop
right.
K
J
Well,
as
we
applaud
your
efforts,
we
want
to
encourage
you
to
continue
developing
and
evolving
your
business
friendly
services
and
to
continue
to
get
the
word
out
about
your
community
to
brokers,
site
selectors,
media
and
us,
because
we
have
media
coming
to
us
saying
what
do
you
hear?
What
do
you
see?
What
are
cities
doing
so
we're
all
aware
of
everything
the
fine
city
of
Inglewood
has
to
offer.
Well,
congratulations
again.
We
look
forward
to
seeing
you
at
the
Eddy
Awards
on
November.

or
familiar
with
me
or
not.
I
actually
own
and
operate
in
Englewood
for
many
years.
I
have
a
petition
is
going
to
be
put
in
effect
very
shortly
about
the
fact
that
there
are
too
many
patients
who
don't
need
dialysis
and
currently
are
being
put
on
dialysis,
unjustly
unnecessarily
Oh
from
my
thirty
years
of
practicing
as

as
you
had
mentioned,
and
unfortunately,
some
of
my
students
aren't
able
to
come
because
they're
at
school,
but
they
did
want
me
to
convey
that
they're
working
hard
on
the
campus
of
Inglewood
high
to
prevent
substance
abuse
through
their
work
with
youth,

Red

Week
came
about
as
a
tribute
to
the
DEA
agent
Enrique
Kiki
Camarena,
who
died,
trying
to
end
drug
trafficking
and
the
wearing
of
red
ribbons
is
in
recognition
of
his
efforts
to
raise
awareness
about
the
drug
issues
and
I
want
to
thank
you
again
for
recognizing
our
efforts
in
the
city
of
Inglewood,
with
the
commendation
and
I
do
have
red
ribbons
for
you,
but
I
forgot
them
in
my
bag
over
there.
So
I'll
give
them
to
you
later,
but
I
do
want
to.

This
is
our
response
to
the
grand

report
and
I'm
happy
to
report
that,
along
with
12
other
agencies
that
were
looked
at
by
the
grand
jury,
which
has
just
say
a
report,
that's
on
an
annual
basis.
They
pick
departments
by
random,
we
were
picked
and
we
were
in
96

that's

O
Good
afternoon,
I
am
dr.
tabash
Ian.
They
double
board
certified
nephrologists,
meaning
kidney
disease.
I
have
a
proposed
measure
that
I
would
like
to
put
on
the
ballot.
I
need
your
support
to
make
sure
that
people
of
our
community
that
have
been
a
target
for
a
long
time
are
not
being
put
on
dialysis
prematurely,
unjustly
and
unnecessarily.
This
is
what
I
have
seen
over
the
course
of
the
three
decades
of
practicing
here,
owning
a
dialysis
unit
and
seeing
what's
going
on
in
the
neighborhood.
O
O
We
need
to
stop
dialysis
when
it's
not
necessary
and
save
free.
Our
people,
people
are
put
on
dialysis
in
change
of
dialysis.
It's
a
three
billion
business:
three
billion
dollar
business
dialysis,
it's
very
lucrative
if
people
are
making
money
off
of
us,
I
am
a
doctor
and
a
dialysis
unit
owner,
but
I
am
one
of
you
and
I
want
to
thought
this
unnecessary
practice
of
putting
people
on
dialysis
when
it's
not
necessary.
C
P
C
V
Good
afternoon,
I'm
Reverend
Shaw,
with
first
vice-president
of
the
NAACP
I,
came
basically
to
thank
them
there
for
coming
on.
Our
radio
information
show
we've
been
getting
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
information
that
was
given.
I
also
want
to
thank
our
Charles
Bragg's
and
our
president
Eric
colleagues
for
being
in
studio
with
us
I
want
to
invite
the
rest
of
the
council
at
your
convenience
to
schedule
with
us
and
be
come
on
the
show
to
express
any
matters
or
things
that
you
would
like
to
do.
V
We're
also
looking
for
sponsors
and
fund
the
show-
and
we
also
were
looking
for
important
guests
to
book
further
show
with
information
that
can
enhance
the
city
and
the
rights
of
people.
So
we
want
to.
Thank
you
again.
We
thank
you
mr.
mayor,
because
you
spent
more
time
than
we
thought
you
were
going
to
be
able
to,
and
it
was
very
good.
Thank
you.

we

now

we

could
not

they
said
we
weren't
a

they
trash
your
records.

S
U
In
our
community-
and
it's
really
evident
when
you
look
at
the
engagement
that
our
community
has
with
our
police
officers
just
a
few
weeks
ago,
we
did
coffee
with
the
cop.
Our
officers
are
always
out
in
the
community
engaging
folks,
and
the
same
holds
true
for
our
fire
department.
La
County,
Fire
Department,
our
public
safety
team,
is
tremendous.
They're
engaged
with
our
community
matter
of
fact.
U
This
past
Sunday
we
had
the
other
los
muertos
over
at
Inglewood,
Park,
Cemetery
and
I
want
to
thank
the
mayor
and
the
council
members
for
all
of
them
coming
out,
as
well
as
the
city
treasurer
wanna
brown,
to
celebrate
dia.
That
was
more
a
big
shout-out
to
England
Park
Cemetery,
Rick,
Miller,
Todd
Beckley
and
Monica
Bradshaw
Hernandez
again,
this
is
a
awesome
community
event.
Where
everybody
comes
out,
you
don't
have
to
be
Hispanic
to
come
out
and
celebrate
yeah.
There
was
more
Turtles
so
with
that
I.
Thank
you
all
enjoy
your
day.
K
K
You
I
want
to
help
you
and
the
families
are
now
starting
to
embrace
her,
and
this
in
this
city,
so
I
want
to
thank
David
are
sparse
and
his
team,
as
well
as
the
police
department,
on
this
win/win
effort
on
helping
those
that
are
willing
to
help
themselves
and
are
really
for
us
to
embrace
become
a
win-win.
Finally,
I
do
want
to
acknowledge
that
the
mayor
and
I
attended
the
grand
opening
of
the
Vista
innovation
high
school
and
believe
it
or
not.
K
And
so
it
was
a
great
honor
to
see
them
50
to
100
students
that
was
they're
all
excited
about
the
organization
being
the
high
school,
as
well
as
the
city
embracing
their
efforts,
and
so
this
is
the
team
effort
that
is
needed
because,
as
we've
always
said,
it
takes
a
village
to
raise
a
child
and
they
clearly
needed
the
challenge
they
were
dealing
with.
They
needed
are
embracing
this,
so
it
was
a
great
honor,
and
on
that
note
everyone
have
a
great
day
Thank.
L
You
first
I
want
to
start
by
thanking
the
LA,
County
Economic
Development
Corporation
and
came
to
celebrate
for
the
second
year
that
we're
a
business-friendly
City
I
want
to
say
that
it
wasn't
that
long
ago
that
all
we
heard
was
complaints
about
how
things
moved
from
the
front
door.
All
the
way
through
and
I
have
to
say
it's
a
credit
to
staff.
They
revamped
it
Chris
Jackson
I
know
played
a
big
role
in
terms
of
getting
people
that
wanted
to
open
every
everything
from
a
small
business.
L
L
So
I
want
to
thank
them
for
that,
because
it's
really
their
award
the
homeless
issue
that
yeah,
you
know
Senators
in
have
done
a
great
job
along
with
sergeant
Blaylock,
who
is
out
there
in
the
community
a
lot
and
I'll
say
first,
let
me
say
it
must
be
the
shoes
that,
but
the
truth
is
that
we're
homeless
in
and
then
did.
He
call
out
your
shoes.
Those
are
nice,
don't
make
it
something,
and
tonight
that
was
a
shout-out
to.
L
Anyway,
what
I
wanted
to
say
was
that
you
know
working
with
the
homeless
is
extremely
difficult,
because
you
can
I
remember
there
was
days
that
there
was
homeless
at
our
Park
and
they
would
do
a
great
job.
You
know
moving
up
and
everything
else
and
the
next
day
they
would
completely
forget
that
they
weren't
supposed
to
be
at
a
certain
place,
and
what
happens
is
that,
even
if
they're
good
people,
the
surrounding
community,
starts
to
feel
you
know
that
at
times
unsafe.
L
So
it's
a
very
sensitive
issue
and
I
want
to
congratulate
you
for
being
able
to
approach
them
and
kind
of
moving
towards
resolution.
So
I
mean
we,
we
could
say
whatever
we
want,
but
the
truth
is
that
is
a
sensitive
issue
around
LA
County
and
the
state
of
California,
and
we've
done
a
good
job
because
of
you
too.
So
thank
you
and
then
the
other
los
muertos.
We
were
all
there
great
event.
You
know
now
that
my
children
are
at
an
age
where
we
can
actually
discuss
what
this
is
about.
L
I
can
see
where
my
parents
kind
of
were
coming
from
when
they
were
discussing
it.
It's
a
great
holiday
goes
back
thousands
of
years
from
Mexico
and
it
is,
and
and
Ralph
did
a
great
job
of
explaining
that
it's
it's
kind
of
speaking
about
you.
You
bring
out
your
family
or
dear
loved
ones
and
talking
about
how
they
lived,
what
they
liked,
what
they
did,
who
they
were
as
people
and
when
you
do
it
as
a
family.
It
keeps
the
memory
going
from
one
generation
to
the
next.
L
C
C
By
Moody's
and
I
want
to
reiterate
that
we
now
have
a
fifty
three
million
dollar
surplus.
We
thought
50
million
dollar
general
fund
reserve.
We
thought
we
had
a
25
million
dollar
surplus,
it's
more
in
the
order
of
28
to
30
million,
depending
on
how
the
final
reconciliation
of
our
legal
bills
is
for
this
past
fiscal
year.
So
by
every
measure
you
can't
just
look
at
the
things
that
we've
accomplished
in
other
cities
cannot
accomplish.
C
You
know
the
sports
teams,
the
LA
Philharmonic,
the
NFL
Network's,
the
Girl
Scouts
moving,
but
just
by
all
the
outside
objective
arbiters
of
business
acumen.
The
city
is
doing
well
and
I
want
to
compliment
the
council,
because
it's
a
team
effort.
It's
a
team
effort.
Everybody
wants
to
come
and
do
business
me
now.
I
was
asked
to
be
the
headliner
for
the
mobility
conference
last
week
at
the
JW
Marriott
in
downtown
Los
Angeles.
C
For
those
who
don't
know
the
mobility
conference
is
the
premier
transportation
calm
conference
every
year
there
were
about
425
people
in
attendance
and
just
like
the
Urban
Land
Institute,
the
event
that
was
held
last
Wednesday.
This
was
this
was
Friday
and
the
urban
Atlanta
Institute
for
the
first
time
ever
they
helped
their
big
conference
in
Inglewood
at
the
casino
and
I
was
one
of
the
panelists
there.
C
Every
big
thing
in
this
county
that
includes
Inglewood.
It
all
be
very
proud
of
that,
and
so
no
matter
what
someone
may
put
in
a
radio
ad
or
what-have-you,
this
city
is
doing
things
that
were
never
conceived
possible.
I'll
tell
you
again.
In
the
last
four
to
five
years,
the
city
of
Inglewood
has
accomplished
what
only
three
mega
cities
have
done
and
that
would
be
San
Francisco,
Los,
Angeles
and
New
York,
but
it
took
them
a
generation
to
accomplish
it.
C
So
with
that
I
want
to
give
our
condolences
to
the
family
of
Alex
Gus
Panos,
with
deep
sorrow.
The
city
of
Inglewood
extends
our
sincere
condolences
to
the
family
of
Alex
Gus
Spanos,
the
owner
of
the
now
Los
Angeles
chargers.
Now
at
spanos
was
a
trailblazer.
He
had
great
dreams
and
greater
ambition.
At
a
young
age,
he
joined
the
Air
Force
and
later
served
as
a
tail
gunner
during
World
War
two.
C
He
then
ventured
into
the
real
estate
market
and
became
one
of
the
largest
apartment
developers
in
the
country
from
there
Alex
Panos
dreams
and
ambition
grew
exponentially.
He
had
a
passion
for
football
and
he
loved
the
NFL.
In
1984
Alex
Panos
became
a
minority
owner
of
the
Chargers
and
within
10
years
he
became
the
majority
owner
and
the
San
Diego
Chargers
became
his
extended
family
Alex
pannels
was
a
wise
and
quite
a
philosopher,
and
an
avid
thinker.
He
wrote
a
book
about
his
life
and
was
known
for
his
quotes.
