From YouTube: 2018 Inglewood Open Studios
Description
Inglewood is both the fastest growing artist community in Los Angeles and the fastest growing city with the newly announced YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles of the LA Phil), building renovation by Frank Gehry, the upcoming NFL stadium, Clippers Arena, two new Metro stations, new art galleries and new businesses moving into Inglewood.
The 12th annual Inglewood Open Studios is keeping pace with this incredible growth with a brand new visual identity, new family friendly events and important new partnerships. These changes will help IOS to showcase individual professional artist studios and art galleries that make up the burgeoning Inglewood art community.

Think
it's
all
about
telling
my
story
telling
my
community
story
telling
the
you
know
the
story
of
my
parrot
voice
is
putting
it
out
there
in
a
very
beautiful
way,
that's
accessible
to
a
lot
of
people.
You
know
spoken
word
or
performance.
Poetry,
I
think,
creates
a
bridge
between
communities.
Unless
you
hear
stories,
I.
C
D
Right
it
needs
this
or
it
needs
that
and
that's
how
I
work,
I
work
with
found
materials
found
being
save
buzz
truckloads
of
materials
once
it
was
old
or
the
parts
from
an
old
man's
downtown
flea
markets.
Is
that
kind
of
thing,
but
now
I
have
so
many
materials
that
just
generally
utilize
I
think
it's.
E
A
very
different
process:
I,
don't
use
any
paintbrushes
catalog,
so
no
brushes,
no
solvents
I
use
straight
oil
things
and
pallet
knives.
I
feel
like
I'm,
being
a
good
steward
of
the
environment
by
not
really
putting
anything
in
landfill
or
the
water
supply.
I
used
all
the
pains,
there's
nothing
to
clean
up
you'll.
A
So
this
is
my
first
time
showcasing
in
a
big
exhibit
like
this
residency
galleries
at
Oak
space,
it's
an
Inglewood,
it's
Engle
went
on.
You
know
and
I
think
that's
a
big
deal
for
me
and
I,
just
I'm
so
happy
to
be
part
of
it,
be
able
to
be
an
inspiration
for
my
students
to
all
the
people
that
have
been
here,
for
you
know
so
long
that
haven't
had
their
voices
heard.
I
just
feel
like
this
is
my
dream.
My
dream
come
true.
E
E
C
Great
to
have
other
artists
meet
other
artists,
you
get
to
build
your
community
and
it's
a
really
nice
feeling
to
go
talk
to
other
people
and
and
develop
a
sense
of
community
and
and
then
I
get
to
be,
like
you
know
the
artist
for
the
day
and
show
off
my
work.
Last
night
we
had
a
group
show
and
I
got
to
meet
all
the
other
artists
that
are
participating,
I.
F
Used
to
have
bands
and
I
would
tell
them
I
got
this
from
Miles
Davis
Hotel
don't-don't-don't
rehearse.
Let's
show
up
and
just
let
it
happen,
let's
be
on
the
edge
of
it
and
just
see
what
comes
out
so
last
night.
That's
what
happened.
This
is
the
first
time
ever
met
Fay,
we
talked
on
the
phone
by
text
had
never
heard
his
piece.
I
have
not
heard
their
piece
and
we
met
immediately
when
I
walked
in.
There
was
a
camaraderie.
They
read
their
piece
for
maybe
one
or
two
seconds.
Listen
to
it.
F
They
told
me
that
mom
was
going
to
be
involved
with
the
rest
was
absolutely
spontaneous
and
that's
a
deeper
cut
of
creativity
for
me,
I
like
to
express
to
people,
because
I
think
creativity
offers
an
opportunity
for
us
to
communicate
beyond
language
within
through
culture.
That's
what
you
saw
occurring
there
and.
