Councilman Alex Padilla and Al Williams of Al's Art and Framing shop, teamed up for the First Annual Spring Art Event to showcase local artists from Inglewood and surrounding areas.

Well good afternoon my name is councilman Alex Padilla we're here at True, Vine Baptist Church having our first annual Art Show I teamed up with Al's art and framing shop. So the weekend bring together local artists to showcase their artwork.

A

We have some dynamite artists that are not only here from Inglewood, but the surrounding communities that want to come and display their artwork and be a part of all the excitement. That's happening in the city of Inglewood.

Started in undergrad, this is a hobby and through the years piratical II painted the focus of my art. Initially was african-american, fraternities and sororities, but then I branched out into other areas and been painting ever since.

Originally I love the sports and that I used to do sports drawings from from the newspapers and I got into conquer all painting. My early 20s I've been doing it off and on ever since.

There's healing in the arts now the matter of fact she did a show called Eli healing in the arts. Now I've been doing art.

Work since I was very, very young first grade. My teacher had me doing her printing for her on charts and things and from there it just kept growing I used to pay to people with no arms and legs graduated to the whole body.

Now you're doing it off.

I'm so glad to see all of you here celebrating the best of Inglewood, because we have the big things now we need the cultural things Alex.

You know, thought enough to bring out the local artists to bring us together to start to see all this talent we have here and giving these artists the opportunity to showcase themselves.

I'm very proud to have our first annual art show. Thank you so much for being a part of the city of being invited.
