From YouTube: Envision Inglewood: Public Scoping Meeting
Description
The City of Inglewood proposes to construct a 1.8-mile Automatic People Mover (APM) that would connect the Metro Crenshaw/LAX Line at the north end of Market Street in the City of Inglewood to the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District (LASED).
Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. spoke to the residents about recent developments taking place in the City and how Inglewood has risen to national prominence.
We invite your comments on the environmental analysis scope for this proposed Project, which will be performed according to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines.

Just
a
little
bit
trip
down
memory,
lane
I
started
working
in
Boyd
in
1972
for
the
police
department
and
I
was
here
for
19
years.
I
left
was
a
deputy
police
chief
was
at
least
even
Santa
Monica
for
15
years
and
then
for
five
years.
I
worked
the
world
Airport
system
in
charge
of
counterterrorism,
Public,
Safety
and
then
I
came
back
to
England
as
a
mayor,
and
is
this
my
eighth
year
and
I.
A
A
A
2015
we
get
began
negotiating
with
the
Rams
and
the
NFL
to
try
an
action
in
return
of
the
NFL
dangler
and
once
again
the
conventional
wisdom
was
like
the
NFL
never
come
the
avoid
that
were
just
a
stalking
horse
for
st.
Louis
and
then
I
was
just
playing
with
us
in
January
2016
30
of
the
32
owners
voted
to
allow
the
Rams
to
build.
A
The
corporate
headquarters
practice
facility
and
a
couple
hundred
thousand
in
the
open
square
feet
of
open
space
for
the
residents
here
in
2018,
the
Girl
Scouts
of
America
bought
the
old
veterans
of
foreign
war,
building
on
the
bridges
across
from
your
car,
wash
with
intent
on
renovating
it
and
moving
their
original
headquarters
from
Marina
del
Rey
tingled
and,
as
we
all
know,
when
the
Girl
Scouts
come.
It's
all.
A
A
We
were
about
seven
months
away
from
cash
flow
bankruptcy.
When
I
took
office
in
February
2011,
we
were
down
for
our
last
11
billion
dollars.
Then
we
were
burning
on
the
average
$50,000
a
day
more
than
we're
taking
in
the
records.
So
that's
what
we
did
without
people
tend
to
forget
my
view
forgotten
when
the
Lakers
kings
in
the
form
of
scoring
and
the
track
was
going.
A
Now,
don't
let
me
kid.
You
I
spent
15
years
in
Santa
Monica
and
we
became
an
international
tourist
destination
when
I
got
there,
and
so
we
got
to
the
point
where,
on
a
summer
weekend,
we
had
400,000
people
come
to
town,
but
while
I
was
in
Santa
Monica
a
generals,
wife,
a
trooper
and
the
beautiful
thing
about
that-
is
that
people
that
don't
live
here,
pay
for
your
services
and
that's
the
objective
so
not
being
satisfied
with
the
fact
that
we
set
the
table
for
this
city
to
change.
A
For
the
next
hundred
years,
in
the
reason
I
stay
for
the
next
hundred
years,
won't
you
listen
to
me
very
carefully
most
cities
to
secure
an
NFL
franchise.
They
bond
from
anywhere
from
three
hundred
to
six
hundred
million
dollars
that
is
paid
for
out
of
anticipated
revenues
from
the
state
or
they
give
land
of
an
equal
value.
The
city
did
neither
for
this
deal.
There
is
no
city
money
proposed
or
involved
in
the
construction
of
the
proposed
arena.
A
So
what
does
anything
that
means?
If
anybody
decides
that
their
facilities
are
dilapidated
and
they
want
to
move,
they
leave
their
money
here
and
believe
me,
there
will
be
people
entities
happy
to
come
in
and
fill
the
void
and
that's
what
happens
when
you
negotiate
well
now.
What
did
we
get
out?
We
had
a
17%
unemployment
rate
and
there's
our
office
as
of
this
month.
The
74.8%.
A
We
have
written
to
all
of
our
development
agreements.
Local
higher
goals
are
local
higher
goals
at
35
percent.
We
also
have
goals
for
me
contracting
of
women
in
that
and
minority
left
disadvantaged
businesses,
and
what
does
that
resulted
in
in
2017,
166
million
dollars
of
construction
sub
contracts
went
to
winning
that
and
minority
leg
subcontractors
for
the
senior
project.
A
This
this
series
of
projects
will
produce
50,000
jobs,
estimated
a
very
durations
in
construction
over
the
next
seven
years
and
12,000
permanent
jobs,
ranging
from
entry
level
to
supervisory
management
and
executive
management
levels
when
the
development
is
fully
populated.
Let's
talk
about
that
298
person
and
we're
going
to
talk
about
here
that
298
years
is
programmed
for
70,000,
see
in
Augusta
Stadium
a
381
channel,
the
movie
theater
800
thousand
square
feet.
A
This
development
will
be
the
catalyst
for
the
total
renovation
of
the
city's.
Already
you
know,
people
tried
to
say
was
because
of
the
statement
that
property
has
risen.
Vol
know
the
recent
property
rights
it
arisen
in
England
is
because
we
have
run
the
city
in
a
way.
The
people
that
invest
no
new
business
not
become
a
city.
Probably
guys
has
been
rising
in
England
since
the
end
of
2012.
A
When
they
hit
rock
everybody
remembers
in
2007-2008,
there
was
a
recession
and
then
the
housing
market
crashed
because
of
all
the
city
income,
the
documentation,
loans
that
hit
their
adjustables
and
people
couldn't
pay
for
their
properties,
and
so
the
housing
market
crashed,
and
that
almost
finish
things
up,
but
we
change
turn
in
surrounding.
We
straightened
out
our
budgetary
orientation,
we
started
trimming
your
trees,
there's
no
sidewalks,
there's
no
streets,
and
if
you
do
the
down
century
in
the
last
week
you
saw
there's
more
landscaping
and
it's
been
restored.
Beautiful
and
so
what's
happened
is.
