Each year, a symbolic Super Bowl "Golden Shovel" is passed from one Super Bowl host community to the next. The NFL, Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee, Los Angeles Rams, Inglewood Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and NFL Partner Verizon are joining forces for this iconic moment, which is the kickoff for the numerous Super Bowl LVI community greening projects.

Over 140 volunteers joined the effort to plant 56 trees in honor of #SuperBowlLVI. They also participated in beautification projects including planting hundreds of flowers and plants, park clean up and painting.

Special thanks to our community partners NFL Green, Verizon Green, LA Super Bowl Host Committee

Watch Mayor Butts, Senator Steven Bradford, Assemblywoman Autumn Burke, and Metro CEO Phil Washington voice their support for the City, the ITC Project, and much more.

Background: The City of Inglewood has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the Inglewood Transit Connector (ITC) Project. The release of the RFI commences the City’s formal market sounding process for the Project by seeking input from private partners, including small and local businesses, on various technology options and other key topics such as the proposed procurement process. As you know, the City is especially committed to ensuring meaningful participation in the Project by small, local, and disadvantaged businesses, and is currently developing strong inclusivity requirements that will be informed by the Project’s funding sources and precedent best practices.

The RFI is available to download via the City of Inglewood City of Inglewood Vendor Portal on Planet Bids.
