Are You Aware of This New Recycling Ordinance?
In September 2016, the State of California’s – then Governor Brown, signed Senate Bill - (SB) 1383 into law. This Mandatory Recycling Ordinance, aims to reduce statewide emissions of short-lived climate pollutants; but ultimately, the goal is to reduce ALL negative impacts in the atmosphere.
SB 1383 puts the responsibility on each one of us to change how we have long been doing things! So, beginning in June, EVERYONE is now required to divert their organic material from the trash.
