Good
afternoon,
members
of
the
city
council,
as
you
may
all
be
aware,
unfortunately,
due
to
covid
the
city,
will
not
be
hosting
the
annual
dr
martin
luther
king
jr
day
celebration
this
year.
However,
the
city
does
plan
to
acknowledge
and
celebrate
the
winners
of
the
dr
martin
luther
king,
jr
day
speech
contest
where
inglewood,
students
from
schools
and
churches
in
inglewood
grades
k
through
8,
write
and
present
their
speeches.
G
Four
winners
of
the
nearly
40
that
competed
are
chosen
thanks
to
the
los
angeles
rams
organization,
each
will
receive
a
cash
prize
and
the
winners
will
be
announced
on
king
day
monday
january
17
2022
staff
is
currently
working
with
the
rams
organization
to
determine
a
safe
venue
to
celebrate
the
winners.
That's
the
end
of
my
report.
C
D
F
C
D
Mayor,
thank
you
just
real
quick.
I
would
like
to
wish
my
staff
angela
and
kalyn
a
happy
one-year
anniversary
today
marks
one
year
with
them
working
here
in
the
city
and
I'm
truly
thankful
and
appreciative
of
all
that
they
have
done
and
then
also
my
birthday
is
on
thursday,
so
happy
birthday
to
me.
Yes,
thank
you
happy
birthday,
then.
Additionally,
dr
martin
luther
king's
birthday
is
next
week
monday,
and
so
I
just
wanted
to
give
observance
to
that
as
well.
Thank
you.
Mary
concludes
my
remarks.
Thank.
C
C
C
Callers
with
that,
we'll
close
public
comment,
move
on
to
council
comments,
councilman
dots
in
district,
one.
E
E
E
B
You
mayor,
you
know,
I
just
want
to
thank
all
of
our
residents
and
in
district
2
that
participated
in
our
home,
decorating
contest
for
during
the
christmas
season.
B
If
you're
ever
looking
for
some
good
pasta
go
to
sunday
gravy
there,
they
got
some
delicious
food
as
all
the
restaurants.
Do
you
know
we
really
got
some
good
eateries
here
in
englewood
and
if
you
haven't
gone,
I
don't
want
to
do
a
plug,
but.
B
B
City
hall
will
be
closed
and
for
martin
luther
king
day
and
we'll
also,
I
don't
believe
we're
having
a
council
meeting
for
next
tuesday
as
well.
So
just
giving
you
a
heads
up
and
remember,
city
hall
is
open,
but
by
appointment
only
and
you
must
have
your
vaccination
card
and
proof
of
id
so
no
sham
alam
over
here.
Let
me
show
you
a
card
and
we're
good.
No,
no.
We
need
to
see
id
that
matches
your
vaccination
card.
I
mean
that's
so
that
we
can
look
out
for
everyone
and
then.
B
I
want
to
acknowledge
the
passing
of
a
dear
friend
of
ours,
the
mayor
and
I
attended
his
memorial
service
district
2
resident
long
time,
family
friend,
hank
harris
who
passed
away
a
couple
of
weeks
ago.
So
may
he
rest
in
internal
peace
and
our
prayers
and
thoughts
to
helen
and
the
rest
of
the
family.
B
This
monday
night
we're
rooting
for
the
rams.
So,
let's,
let's,
let's
get
behind
them,
they're
gonna
be
on
monday
night
football
go
rams
and
you
know
let's
enjoy
the
rest
of
the
week.
Thank
you.
F
District
3..
Thank
you
mayor.
You
just
wanted
to
welcome
everybody
back,
of
course,
our
employees
and
everyone
else.
Hopefully
everybody's
taking
care
of
themselves.
It
was
a
great
year.
Last
year
it's
going
to
be
a
better
year
this
year,
it's
just
nice
to
be
around
during
these
times
in
inglewood,
as
tough
as
it
is
and
mayor.
I
just
want
to
also
close
in
memory
of
our
resident.
F
I
know
you
went
to
the
services
on
our
behalf,
enrique
borrel,
who
passed
away
just
around
the
holiday
season-
and
you
know
he
was
part
of
the
true
road
block
club-
played
a
big
role
in
kind
of
making
that
happen
with
mr
douglas
for
many
years
and
after
mr
douglas
passed,
he
was
the
one
who
would
go
around
the
neighborhood
and
collect
donations
and
come
to
my
house
and
buy
being,
and
he
was
just
just
a
solid,
solid
person
in
the
neighborhood,
so
we're
gonna
miss
him.
Mr
burrell.
C
Thank
you,
mayor,
okay.
I
definitely
want
to
close
and
in
honor
of
henry
hank
harris
just
an
anchor
of
the
community
and
the
heights
of
ladera
and
enrique
burrell
as
well.
We
also
within
the
last
done
seven
or
eight
days
lost
gil
matthew
who
passed
and
we're
we're
going
to
adjourn
the
meeting
in
his
memory
and
honor
as
well
and
we're
adjourned.
Thank
you.
