I'm
going
to
read
a
proclamation
declaring
November
16th
as
National
Geographic
Information

day,
whereas
the
city
of
ingwood
recognizes
the
use
of
geographic
information
systems,
technology
and
it's
a
central
role
in
operating
and
maintaining
infrastructure,
sustaining
natural

and
stimulating
economic
growth
and
where
National
GIS
day
is
celebrated
on
November
16
2022
and
over
80
countries
and
throughout
the
United
States,
and
whereas
having
a
GIS
day
is
an
initiative
designed
to
showcase
the
schools,
businesses,
the
government
and
the
general
public
to
help
promote
education,
Inspire
others
to
use
GIS

whereas
the
city

acknowledges
those
who
have
chosen
GIS
as
their
profession
as
part
of
their

to
improve
the

whereas
the

recognizes
the
importance
and
use
of
GIS
technology
and
the
noteworthy
efforts
of
those
who
work
on
GIS

Human

better
service
residents
by
ensuring
useful
geographic

is
open
and
readily
available
to
the
public

a
platform
for
Innovation.
Now,
therefore,
be
it
known
that
the
mayor
and
council
members
of
the
city
of
ingwood
California
do
hereby
could
Proclaim
November,
16
2022
as
National
GIS
day
and
as
a
side
note.
A
E
F
I'm
here
president
and
accounted
for
it,
thank
you
Mr
Marion
Council.
Thank
you
for
this
opportunity
to
come
before
you
and
provide
what
has
been
a
annual
legislative
briefing
that
I've
provided
to
the
council
and
the
community
over
the
12
years.
That
I've
been
in
the
state
legislature
and
I
know
brevity
is
the
order
of
the
day,
so
I
won't
be
long,
but
I
think
it's
important
to
highlight
those
things
that
we've
accomplished
through
the
legislative
year.
F
For
those
who
are
unaware,
our
legislative
year
runs
from
January
to
September,
so
we
ended
on
September
1st.
This
year
we
passed
the
largest
budget
in
California's
history,
300
billion
dollar
budget,
with
a
37
billion
dollar
Reserve
we've
also
residents
throughout
the
state
of
California
can
soon.
If
they
haven't
already
received
a
tax
refund,
we
have
set
9.5
billion
dollars
aside
to
refund
residents,
we
should
start
receiving
those
refunds.
Last
month
those
checks
went
out.
So,
if
you
haven't
received
it
continue
to
look
in
your
mailbox,
they
should
be
coming
shortly.
F
F
Tax
refund,
just
from
our
tax
refund
over
the
from.
F
Two
billion
of
support,
small
businesses
and
non-profits,
as
we
know
during
covet,
our
small
businesses
and
nonprofits,
would
hit
the
hardest.
So
there's
two
billionaires
that
continue
to
support
them:
200
million
to
support
women's
Reproductive
Rights,
and
even
though
we
were
successful
in
passing
a
proposition
one.
Last
week,
it's
still
vitally
important
that
we
make
these
resources
available
for
women
to
have
the
right
to
choose
what
they
do
with
their
bodies.
F
Also,
there's
nine
billion
to
increase
ongoing
discretionary
funding
for
our
California
schools,
which
is
vitally
important
as
well
and
47
billion
for
infrastructure,
including
Transportation
school
facilities,
housing
projects,
libraries,
dams
and
other
water
work
projects
and
understanding
that
housing
is
key,
as
we
all
know,
there's
two
billion
dollars
for
affordable
housing,
as
well
as
two
billion
dollars
for
student
housing.
As
we
know,
there's
hundreds,
if
not
thousands,
of
students
who
sleep
in
their
car
every
day
in
parking
lots
just
to
go
to
college.
F
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
are
building
housing
on
campuses
as
well,
and
our
health
care
workers,
as
we
know
during
the
pandemic,
was
hit
so
there's
a
one
billion
dollar
fund
for
retention
retention,
stipend
for
those
men
and
women
in
that
profession,
who
are
critically
important
in
making
sure
that
they
stay
employed
and
work
in
this
area
and
also
the
budget
expanded
our
medical
for
all
eligible
Californians,
regardless
of
immigration
status.
F
So
that's
a
21
increase
for
CalWORKs
recipients,
so
that's
important
as
well
and
as
we
know,
we
all
talk
about
climate
change,
so
there's
19
billion
for
our
climate
energy
package,
which
one
of
the
biggest
bills
also
that
we
passed
the
last
week
of
session.
So
and
again
we
talk
about
economic,
economic
uncertainty.
F
That's
why
we
have
again
a
37
billion
dollar
Reserve,
so
I
think
we
all
should
be
excited
and
about
that,
and
we
all
know
that
our
budgets
are
cyclical
at
best,
so
we're
preparing
for
a
rainy
day
and
also
just
go
over
some
legislation.
This
year,
I
introduced
12
bills
of
those
12,
eight
made
it
to
the
governor's
desk
of
those
eight
six
were
signed
if
I
was
playing
baseball,
I'd
be
batting
500.
But
for
me
that
was
a
bad
year
that.
F
Is
the
fewest
bills
I've
ever
had
signed
in
the
legislature,
but
real,
quick,
1348
escrow
agents,
a
licensed
to
denial
for
drug
offenses?
This
now
allows
those
individuals
who
had
a
marijuana
conviction
to
now
be
able
to
get
their
escrow
license,
makes
no
sense
to
deny
these
people
Full,
Employment
and
opportunities
to
have
a
meaningful
employment
simply
because
of
a
prior
conviction
on
something
that
is
now
legal
in
the
state
of
California,
1396
tenant
credit
reporting.
F
This
is
vitally
important,
especially
for
renters
who
have
rented
and
paid
their
rent
on
time
for
decades,
but
they
have
nothing
to
show
for
it.
It
now
allows
them
to
build
credit,
so
hopefully,
one
day
they
can
be
Property
Owners.
So
this
was
supported
and
this
bill
will
be
in
place
until
July
of
2025,
and
it
this
bill
establishes
oversight
and
means
to
conduct
a
third
party
evaluation
and
audit
to
make
sure
this
program
is
properly
implemented.
F
Unpaid
nursing
hours,
13
34.,
we
found
out
many
of
our
nurses
and
medical
professions
who
work
in
the
public
sector
during
covet
were
denied
rest
and
lunch
breaks.
This
now
affords
them
the
same
rest
and
lunch
breaks
as
our
private
facilities
here
in
the
state
of
California,
which
is
again
vitally
important.
We
know
they
were
front
line
workers,
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
retain
those
medical
professions,
especially
our
UC
nurses
and
other
public
sector
workers,
so
I'm
excited
about
that
and
1317
Palm
Brokers
consumer
privacy.
F
Only
the
serial
number
will
be
entered
into
the
Caps
system
protecting
personal
information
of
customers,
because
we've
saw
many
folks
hit
their
information
compromised
by
putting
more
than
the
serial
number
in
there,
so
we're
only
allowing
them
to
have
serial
number
on
those
items
that
have
been
pawned
and
water.
Decoupling
1469,
it
authorizes
water
utilities
to
utilize
a
rate
making
process
referred
to
as
decoupling,
which
eliminates
the
incentive
for
water
utilities
to
increase
water
use.
F
Instead
of
promoting
conservation,
decoupling
mythology
was
established
in
1980
and
made
permanent
for
electrical
corporations
after
the
2000
energy
crisis,
and
we
want
to
do
the
same
with
water.
Essentially,
just
decoupling
separates
the
profits
from
the
total
water
sales,
so
it
promotes
conservation
and,
last
but
not
least,
a
water
replacement,
District
Bill
1476,
which
amends
the
water
replenishment
district
act,
provide
flexibility
for
the
purchase
of
materials,
equipment
supplies
and
Professional
Services.
This
bill
also
streamlines
the
purchasing,
Authority
and
execution
of
contracts
by
governing
boards
and
district
managers.
F
I,
don't
know
if
you
guys
know
I
cheer
the
legislative,
Black
Caucus
as
well
as
chair
of
Public
Safety
and
I.
We
committed
to
legislation
that
promotes
Equity
social
justice
and
Public
Safety
and
Criminal
Justice
Reform,
small
business
housing
and
employment.
I
am
honored
again
to
represent
the
35th
Senate
District,
which
is
the
most
diverse
District
in
the
state
of
California.
Many
people
are
unaware
of
that,
but
it's
the
most
ethnically
diverse
bill
in
California
and
last,
but
last
but
not
least,
member
request.
F
With
this
Surplus
we
have
now
been
afforded
what
is
called
member
requests.
Last
year,
one
of
my
memory
requests
was
six
million
dollars
for
Market
Street.
This
year,
I
was
able
to
secure
5.2
million.
To
increase
for
helping
disadvantaged
students.
Get
eyeglasses
angels
for
Sight
is
a
non-profit
that
is
provided
eyewear
for
students
almost
for
the
last
20
years
in
low-income
communities
and
many
times
when
students
performance
is
down.
F
They
think
it's
about
ability,
but
many
times
kids
cannot
see,
and
so
this
provides
free,
eyewear
exams
for
folks
throughout
LA
County,
there's
seven
million
dollars
for
the
inner
city
Youth
Orchestra.
This
is
the
most
diverse
Orchestra
in
the
nation,
with
more
African-American
and
little
Latino
kids
than
any
other
Orchestra
in
the
nation.
F
We
have
secured
seven
million
dollars
for
them
to
hope
to
hopefully
have
a
permanent
home
to
house
their
music
to
acquire
their
own
instruments
right
now,
they're
using
it
instruments
that
are
being
donated
by
universities,
they
now
can
purchase
their
own
instruments
and
usually
when
they
do
performances,
you
have
to
go
to
our
music
library
and
rent
the
music.
Now
they
can
acquire
their
own
music
and
habit
so
hope
we
will
see
more
Young
Folks
entering
the
music
space,
also
secured
5.2
million
dollars
for
entrepreneurial
opportunities
in
small
business
creation.
F
It's
called
the
entrepreneurial
education
center,
which
was
formed
in
Watts
by
Barbara,
Stanton
and
many
people
might
know.
Miss
Dan
her
mother's
Ozzie,
gonzak,
who's
kind
of
like
the
Godmother
watts
and
when
you
drive
down
the
street
in
LA,
and
you
see
the
term
protect
and
serve
on
those
police
cars,
that's
because
of
Ozzy
gonzac
and
Barbara
Stanton
as
her
daughter
who
is
running
this
entrepreneurial
program,
that's
teaching
kids
to
code
and
do
amazing
digital
work
and
artificial
intelligence
as
well.
F
So
again,
California
is
flush
right
now,
so
we
want
to
take
advantage.
As
we
say,
May
Kay,
water,
sun
is
shining
and
last
but
not
least,
I
represent
the
state
of
California
in
the
reparations
task
force.
F
As
you
know,
two
years
ago,
our
now
Secretary
of
State
Shirley
Weber
passed
AB
3121,
which
created
the
first
reparations
task
force
in
Nation
is
the
task
force
made
up
of
nine
individuals
I'm
one
of
those
nine
and
we've
been
charged
with
exploring
the
impacts
investigation
of
slavery
here
in
the
State
California,
and
this
nation
and
many
people
say
well,
California
wasn't
a
slave
state.
We
weren't
a
slave
state
in
name
only.
We
adhere
to
everything
that
slave
states
did.
F
We
had
a
fugitive
slave
law
and
many
folks
are
unaware
our
first
governor
owned
slaves
and
he
had
a
mandate
that
he
wanted
to
eradicate
African-Americans
totally
in
the
state
of
California.
He
felt
African-Americans
said
no
place
in
the
state
of
California
in
1850,
so
we
have
suffered
and
again
and
we
had
a
fugitive
slave
law.
If
you
were
brought
here
as
a
slave,
you
were
treated
as
a
slave.
If
you
ran
away
and
you
came
to
California,
the
slave
Hunters
could
come
and
take
you
back
so
we've
explored
that
I.
F
F
Goes
quick,
it's,
but
it's
it's
heart-wrenching
to
know
what
some
of
the
things
they
did,
especially
some
of
the
medical
experiments.
When
we
talk
about
women's
right
to
choose
much
of
what
we
do
now
with
women's
bodies
was
done
on
slaves,
first
hysterectomies
and
all
those
sterilization.
All
that
was
done
on
slaves
so
anyway,
so
but
We've
explored
many
of
those
things,
and
so
our
next
task
force
meeting
is
next
month
in
Oakland,
December,
14th
and
15th.
F
It's
televised
for
those
of
folks
who
can't
join
us
in
person,
but
I
encourage
you
to
have
your
voices
heard
in
this,
because
the
next
nine
months
we'll
be
putting
the
meat
on
the
bones
of
what
reparations
look
like
our
first
year
was
about
the
community
of
Eligibility.
So
we've
chosen
those
descendants
of
child
slavery
are
individuals
who
arrived
here
prior
to
1900,
but
there's
still
much
debate
as
to
again
folks
who
are
of
African-American
descent,
who
have
been
impacted
by
celebrities,
whether
they
came
here
since
that
time.
F
So
it's
a
lot
of
work
done,
but
it's
encouraging
and
as
we
approach
the
holiday
season,
I
just
encourage
you.
I
have
I
know
the
city.
Does
a
turkey
giveaway
that
I've
joined
you
over
the
last
10
or
12
years,
but
I
will
be
hosting
the
35th
Senate
District
turkey,
giveaway
on
Tuesday
November
22nd
at
El,
Camino
College.
Thank
you,
the
flyers
in
the
lobby,
yeah.
F
A
F
Thank
you
and
it's
more
to
come.
Hopefully
we're
working
on
a
few
things
that
everybody
knows
here
so
hopefully
we'll
continue
those
conversations
and
continue
to
move
the
ball
forward
for
the
city
of
Inglewood.
So
thank.
K
Wanted
to
congratulate
you
on
all
the
hard
work
you're
doing
here
everywhere:
you're
very
active
in
the
community
you're,
getting
a
lot
done
in
Sacramento.
Your
work
is
showing
through
I
love
the
work
that
you're
doing
with
the
reparations
legislation,
and
definitely
please
keep
us
posted
on
that
as.
G
A
You
no
I
think
we
had
some
P
some
representatives
from
GIS
here
to
receive
this
placard
we'd
like
take
a
picture
with
you
over
there
by
the
flags
in
the
city,
seal.
D
L
A
K
G
D
A
No,
no
that's
MGT,
Consulting
Group!
That's.
A
A
A
Okay,
man,
but
you
can
always
speak
on
it
at
the
end.
Ma'am,
okay,
okay,
come
back
at
the
end:
okay,
okay,
there
any
staff
items
that
someone
wants
to
address.
Okay
with
that,
we'll
close
public
comment.
C
C
Good
afternoon
Council,
is
it
okay
to
talk
about
pH,
one
economic,
Community,
Development
Department?
If.
C
A
A
A
A
M
A
A
A
O
Time
is
right,
same
item
that
you
just
told
community
members
that
they
could
not
speak
on.
It's
number
four.
It
says
finance
department.
The
mayor
I
expect
for
you
to
know.
What's
on
this
agenda,
there
should
not
be
so
much
confusion
coming
from
you.
This
legislative
body
should
be
ashamed
of
itself
for
continuously
using
the
people's
money
to
fight
against
the
will
of
the
people.
O
You
should
not
approve
an
additional
93
250
to
give
to
MGT
Consulting,
instead
of
paying
400
and
53
000,
almost
a
half
a
million
dollars
to
a
Florida
Corporation
for
advice
on
how
to
take
away
our
community's
rights.
You
should
be
paying
back
every
resident.
Every
single
penny
that
you
all
have
collected
for
these
short-term
rentals.
A
M
A
O
Thank
you
so,
like
I
said
before
before
you
rudely
interrupt
me
channels
are
things
such
as
Railways
they're
Airways?
There
are
waterways,
instrumentalities
are
things
such
as
cars,
trucks,
ships
and
airplanes?
Folks,
homes
are
not
included
in
that,
and
the
first
amendment
gives
us
the
right
to
privacy
in
our
homes.
This
ordinance
also
doesn't
meet
the
mustard
of
the
necessary
and
proper
clause.
Therefore,
your
implementation
of
the
short-term
rental
ordinance
in
general
is
a
violation
of
the
Constitution.
O
So
if
mayor
Buds
and
this
Council
were
concerned
about
housing
being
used
for
commercial
profit,
they
would
have
created
a
barrier
making
it
hard
for
corporations
and
hedge
funds
to
buy
our
housing.
However,
you
guys
have
not.
You
could
also
require
that
those
who
are
purchasing
housing
with
a
corporate
entity
to
comply
with
the
short-term
rental
ordinance,
while
excluding
residents
who
own
or
rent
their
property
as
individuals
from
having
to
comply.
So
the
fact
of
the
matter
is
our
residents,
aren't
getting
rich
or
making
a
profit
from
sharing
their
housing
with
others.
O
Most
are
just
getting
by
or
being
provided
the
opportunity
to
pay
their
rent
or
mortgages.
So
they
don't
find
themselves
homeless,
considering
the
fact
that
we
are
plagued
with
homelessness
in
our
community,
we
need
elected
officials
who
are
empathetic
in
understanding
of
our
residents,
housing
needs
and
decisions.
Also,
since
you
are
requiring
residents
to
operate
their
homes
as
businesses
with
business
licenses,
how
will
that
impact
our
residential
zoning
laws?
It's.
I
M
P
Senator
Steve
Bradford's
presentation,
he
mentioned
one
area
that
we
have
Surplus
money.
I
hope
that
the
city
council
will
consider
using
that
in
the
school
district
we
have
been
through
a
pandemic.
The
students
are
behind.
We
seriously
need
a
tutoring
program,
hopefully
that
could
be
established
within
the
rec
Center's
recreation
parks
during
the
break
the
Christmas.
Well,
they.
A
A
P
Right
in
in
past
committees,
or
meetings
such
as
this,
if
it
was
on
the
agenda,
it
was
part
of
the
agenda.
It's
it's.
C
A
You
can
only
speak
once
during
this
session.
That's
it!
You
can
come
back
at
the
end
when,
when
we
have
opened
open
dialogue,
okay,
you
only
get
to
speak
once.
A
Okay
with
that
we'll
close
public
comment
and
now
we'll
move
on
to
the
agenda
item,
one
CSA
one
and
a
csa2
and
H1
won't.
A
A
D
A
D
Yes
mayor
the
next
schedule,
matters
of
public
hearing
to
consider
designating
certain
portions
I'm
sorry
consider
ordinance,
designating
certain
portions
of
the
city
as
an
event
Zone
in
order
to
regulate
certain
activities
in
connection
with
2023
college
football,
playoff,
national
championship
game
and
related
events.
As.
E
Can
you
hear
me
okay?
Yes,
we
can
good
afternoon
mayor
City,
Council
Members.
This
hearing
is,
as
indicated
by
the
city
clerk,
a
public
hearing
to
consider
an
ordinance
regarding
event
zones
or
what
we
sometimes
call
clean
zones.
Council
should
be
very
familiar
with
this,
because
this
is
exactly
what
we
were
able
to
do
with
the
Super
Bowl
and
it
was
a
very
effective
way
to
deal
with
pop-up
operations
that
occurred
to
disrupt
some
of
the
activities
that
was
going
on
in
and
around
our
venue.
E
As
you
know,
the
operation
with
the
Super
Bowl
went
very
well,
and
we
have
very
few
incidents
regarding
this,
because
we
had
an
ordinance
in
place
to
be
able
to
address
such
issues.
The
event
Zone,
as
I
said
previously,
sometimes
called
clean
zones.
It
establishes
temporary
standards,
so
I
want
to
emphasize
that
these
are
just
temporary
standards
that
are
relegated
to
the
event
time
period,
that
that
for
the
national
championship
game
and
these,
it
would
be
an
effective
approved
from
6
a.m.
E
On
Monday,
January,
2nd
2023
to
6
pm
on
Tuesday,
January,
10th
2023,
and
that
gives
us
kind
of
a
buffer
between
the
actual
game
to
to
be
able
to
make
sure
that
we're
not
that
there's
orally
conduct
in
and
around
the
area
it
will
address.
Such
areas
is
outdoor
commercial
signs
and
advertising
displays
and
counterfeit
merchandise,
and
and
then
establishes
our
violation
and
penalties
and
I
want
to
thank
the
City
attorney
for
his
assistance
in
helping
the
draft
the
ordinance
as
well.
That
concludes
staff's
presentation
and
I'm
available
to
answer
any
questions.
A
Are
there
any
members
of
the
public
that
would
like
to
make
comment
operator?
Is
there
anybody
on
the
line.
A
M
C
What
does
that
have
to
do
with
the
city
of
Inglewood?
We're,
not
the
police
of
there's
counterfeit
merchandise
being
sold
in
the
swap
meet
right
now,
so
is
anybody
going
to
go
in
the
swap
meet
and
stop
them
from
selling
counterfeit
merchandise?
There's
people
selling
hot
dogs
and
dropping
food
all
over
Prairie.
C
A
C
C
C
I
absolutely
believe
that
it's
unnecessary
for
the
city
of
Inglewood
to
be
responsible
for
maintaining.
What's
going
on
with
the
NCAA
for
quote-unquote
event,
Zone,
the
majority
of
the
events
will
be
held,
downtown
L.A
like
they
were,
for
Super
Bowl,
not
here
in
Inglewood
in
Inglewood,
businesses
will
continue
to
suffer
and
not
make
money
off
another
billion
dollar
event
here
in
the
city
of
Inglewood.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
So.
H
H
If
someone
were
to
get
sick
or
anything
or
someone
have
consumed
too
much
alcohol
from
one
of
these
people
who
are
selling
the
alcohol
and
we
have
an
accident
and
something
happens,
you
know,
people's
lives
are
at
danger
and
all
I'm
saying
is
this:
is
that
the
city
of
the
great
city
of
Inglewood
that
we
could
do
a
better
job
at
maintaining
these
different
hot
dog
stands
and
the
people
that
like
I
said
I
mean
is?
Is
this
our
idea
of
small
helping
small
businesses?
H
I
hope
this
is
not
the
plan,
but
I
do
think
we
need
to
regulate
the
people
with
the
hot
dogs
for
God's
sakes,
the
people
at
the
arena
could
sell
the
same
hot
dogs
and
put
them
out
of
business.
So
you
know
we
got
to
stop
selling
the
alcohol
out
there.
It's
very
dangerous
and,
like
I
said,
I
hope
that
when,
when
the
NCAA
comes
here,
I
hope
we
do
a
much
better
job
and
that's
all
I
have
to
say,
and
thank
you
very
much
for
your
time.
B
A
Folks
can
we
line
up
so
that
we
can
be
more
expeditious,
go
ahead,
ma'am.
P
On
your
agenda,
you
you
have
here,
you
should
receive
public
comment,
but
it's
very
difficult
to
respond
or
have
public
comment.
When
we
don't
know
what
the
designated
areas
are.
You
told
us
what
would
not
be
allowed,
but
we
still
don't
know
what
those
designated
are
areas
are,
and
that
happens
often
with
your
agenda.
You
talk
around
what
you
expect
the
public
to
comment
on,
but
you
give
us
no
information
here
to
really
comment.
A
Foreign
there
is
a
staff
report
dated
November
15
2022
and
it
describes
everything.
That's
the
subject
of
this
public
hearing.
O
A
O
So
my
concern
with
this
the
typically
impact
our
community
members
who
make
ends
meet
by
being
Street
vendors
at
these
events,
so
we
are
aware
that
most
of
our
street
vendors
cannot
afford
permit
fees
or
fines,
and
many
of
them
are
Spanish-speaking
or
unable
to
jump
through
the
Hoops
that
this
council
is
proposing.
So
I
would
like
to
know
how
this
Council
will
go
about
implementing
this
law
without
taking
a
source
of
income
that
is
relied
upon
by
some
of
our
neighbors.
O
O
O
Because
I'm
I'm
quiet
now
so
in
the
social
queue,
when
someone
has
made
a
statement
and
then
they
are
quiet,
it's
for
someone
to
respond.
So
this
is
a
public
hearing.
If
anyone
would
like
to
answer
any
of
the
questions
that
I
asked
myself
as
well
as
this
entire
Community
would
be
very
appreciative
of
it.
Thank.
A
Several
times,
thank
you
are
there
any
other
speakers.
B
A
Speakers,
man,
all
right,
all
right,
we'll
close
public
comment.
Thank
you,
okay!
Is
there
any
Council
comment,
I
do
if
no
one
else
does.
I
Well,
I
was
just
gonna
work
from
what
was
said
so
usually
what
happens
at
these
large
events-
and
we
saw
them
at
the
Super
Bowl-
is
that
the
impact
on
the
community,
both
for
Public
Safety,
as
well
as
right-of-way
and
traffic
public
health
and
as
a
whole,
is
impacted,
and
what
we
create
is
an
event
Zone
that
allows
our
staff
and
any
staff
that's
participating
with
adjacent
agencies,
federal
agencies,
state
agencies
that
come
into
the
city
to
establish
parameters
for
which
they
can
operate.
I
There's
a
variety
of
levels
that
they
enforce,
some
of
which
are
so
you
know
deep
into
issues
of
human
trafficking.
They
are
into
public
safety
as
a
whole
that
we
need
to
establish
these
parameters
and-
and
let
everyone
know
that
they're
they're,
coming
into
a
safe
environment
where
the
agencies
will
be
allowed
to
operate
so
I
just
wanted
to
say
that
we've
seen
this
before,
we
should
get
used
to
this
with
the
years
coming
ahead
with
all
of
the
events
coming.
So
we
are
that
destination
city
where
we
have.
I
You
know
a
hundred
thousand
visitors
and
we
need
to
establish
this
as
a
tool
for
our
agencies.
That's
it
mayor.
J
Go
ahead,
Alex,
yeah!
Thank
you.
You
know,
and
we
do
want
to
support
our
small
business
owners
that
are
out
here.
You
know
so
that
they
can
continue
to
be
a
success.
What
we
don't
want
to
do
is
to
create
an
area
where
we
get
bombarded
by
folks
who
just
come
from
everywhere,
because
they
want
to
set
up
shop
in
the
middle
of
the
street
and
figure
hey
it's
it's
it's
a
free
zone.
They
can
do
whatever
they
want
and
there's
not
going
to
be
any
type
of
of
you.
J
So
you
can
have
people
that
have
never
been
in
public
safety.
People
that
have
never
had
to
you
know
worry
about
any
of
this
get
up
here
and
talk
about.
They
want
to
just
let
everybody
do
whatever
they
want
and
we're
good
with
that.
Well,
no
we're
not
or
not
we're
going
to
provide
a
safe
environment.
J
A
Going
to
show
you
Miss
Davidson
was
so
on
point
when
she
talked
about
unregulated
Street
vendors,
first
of
all,
you're
not
allowed
to
run
a
business
on
a
public
sidewalk.
Second
of
all,
the
Health
Department
issues
involved
in
just
anybody
coming
in
and
setting
up
a
stand
and
and
selling
food
Mr
Jackson
do
do
we
not
have
code
enforcement
people
that
work,
the
weekends
and
and
work
on
these
types
of
issues.
A
And
so
the
fact
that
someone
sees
a
hot
dog
vendor
doesn't
mean
that
they
will
not
be
contacted
during
the
course
of
the
game,
that's
correct,
and
then
we
had
another
Resident
or
suppose
resident
Ms
Dixon.
That
says
we
should
let
everybody
sell
on
the
sidewalks
as
though
that's
a
boon
to
small
businesses.
Well,
actually,
that's
just
quite
the
opposite.
A
The
reality
is
that
people
come
to
these
events
two
hours
before
and
they
spend
as
much
as
two
hours
in
the
city
afterwards
and
what
they
do
while
they're
here
is
they
stop
at
our
local
businesses,
and
we
know
that
because
our
sales
tax
receipts
have
gone
up
since
so
far
has
been
in
operation
and
what
we
don't
want
is
anybody
that
chooses
to
set
up
a
stand
on
a
sidewalk
from
any
City
anywhere
to
capture
Revenue.
First
of
all,
it's
not
legal.
A
Second
of
all,
it's
not
healthy,
and
that's
not
what
we're
going
to
do
so
I
would
applaud
Miss,
Davidson
you're
right.
We
do
intu
independent,
enforce
Street
vendors
and
we
have
done
it.
We've
brought
trucks
and
and
picked
up
carts.
We've
done
a
variety
of
things,
so
I
agree
with
you:
Miss
Davidson.
K
You
mayor
so
I've
been
working.
This
happens
a
lot
in
in
District
Four
I'm,
very
aware
of
it
and
I've
been
working
with
our
code
enforcement.
What
we're
seeing
now
is
with
the
street
vendors.
There
are
these
Vans
or
large
trucks
and
they'll
Park
along
Prairie
or
pinkay,
and
then
they'll
unload,
like
I,
don't
know
15
20
carts
at
one
time
and
then
they
disperse
and
they're
ready
for
business
as
soon
as
the
show
or
game
is
out,
so
we're
seeing
that
that's
what's
happening,
we're
trying
to
be
on
top
of
it.
K
We
are
aware
of
it.
She
brought
it
to
the
attention
today.
We
we're
aware
of
it
we're
trying
to
figure
out
the
best
way
to
prevent
it
from
happening,
because
we
do
want
our
small
businesses
to
be
the
one
to
thrive
and
not
you
know
folks,
coming
from
outside
of
the
city.
So,
like
the
mayor
said,
we
we
want
to
continue
to
invest
in
our
small
businesses
and
make
sure
that
they
have
the
tools
that
they
need
to
be
successful
and
not
support,
others
that
are
coming
in
here
and
operating
outside
of
Regulation.
R
Isa,
of
course,
you
can
I
want
to
give
my
hats
off
to
code
enforcement.
S
R
R
Our
coding
for
some
people
are
not
equipped
to
handle
that
kind
of
violence,
so
we're
going
to
have
to
come
up
with
something,
a
concrete
that
would
make
that
will
keep
them
safe
and
they
can
do
their
job
I
witnessed.
So
many
of
these
Vans
just
come
up
and
drop
out
so
many
carts
and
the
guys
grabbing
it
and
they
run
off.
R
R
I
C
I
I
It's
not
it's
not
I
wish
it
was
that
I
wish.
It
was
the
fact
that
folks
were
really
making
a
living
and
there
wasn't
just
one
person
taking
advantage
of
them,
but
it's
not
true.
It's
not
true.
You
get
it.
The
fact
is
that
even
the
folks
that
are
pushing
the
cards
for
ice
cream,
they
don't
own
those
they
get
taken
advantage
of,
and
hopefully
they
are
getting
something
out
of
it
because
I
feel
for
them.
I
I
That
being
said,
we
also
need
to
consider
our
local
small
businesses
that
are
being
impacted
by
that,
and
you
know
they
are
truly
the
ones
that
are
are
suffering
as
well.
So
that
being
said,
the
the
issue
is
not
as
simple
as
it's
been
drawn
out
and
we
understand
what
it
is.
A
So
exactly
and
so
the
concept
that
small
business
people
are
being
harmed
because
they
have
to
have
permits,
is
yeah.
A
It's
ludicrous
the
there
are
not
our
small
business
people
that
are
operating
these
carts,
they're
working
for
someone
that
owns
a
larger
concern
yeah
and
they
also
are
not
complying
with
the
health
department,
and
so
it
cannot
be
permitted.
And
finally,
as
everyone
is
noted,
it
cheats
our
local
business
people
that
have
food
and
products
that
people
would
have
to
turn
to
them,
for
if
they
didn't
have
these
bootleg
operations
on
site.
I
A
Aye
will
anybody
introduce
I
will
introduce
councilman,
Dotson
introduces
and
without
them?
Public

Yes,
sir
Quorum
is
present

A
Q
And
sorry
mayor,
the
last
item
was
CS3.
There
was
a
closed
session
regarding
the
negotiations
with
the
labor
negotiations
regarding
ieo,
imeo
and
ipcma
as
to
that
the
status
was
given
by
the
human
resource
director
regarding
those
negotiations
as
to
Aid
2,
there's
no
or
reports
from
the
city
attorney's
office.
A
D
D
Yes,
mayor,
thank
you
so
much.
First,
congratulations
mayor
on
your
on
your
win
for
for
mayor.
No,
the
votes
are
not
finalized,
but
your
head,
your
head,
quite
some
numbers.
So
congratulations
to
you,
mayor,
councilman,
Padilla!
Congratulations!
Sir!
Thank
you.
You
know
another
four
years
with
you,
gentlemen,
are
great
and
chili
cook-off
I'm
looking
forward
to
it
and
then
councilman
Dotson
were
in
a
runoff,
but
it's
okay.
I'm
excited
to
you
know,
share
this
time
with
you.
The
runoff
is
expected
to
be
in
March
of
next
year.
So.
D
Know
looking
forward
to
that
race,
I
want
to
thank
my
staff
for
their
hard
work.
This
was
their
first
real
election
here
for
the
city
of
Inglewood
and
you
know
hats
off
to
them.
They
were
just
fantastic,
such
a
support
system.
To
me.
We
got
out
there
in
the
rain,
Angela
and
I.
D
You
know
on
Election
Day,
you
know
putting
out
fires
beating
up
people
no
I'm
kidding
but
getting
beat
up
by
people
rather,
but
you
know
it
was
great
but
kudos
to
my
staff
and
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
for
that
mayor,
we'll
be
looking
to
bring
the
certified
the
certifying
election
results
to
you,
guys
in
December
right.

A
A
S
Good
afternoon
Council
and
residents,
this
is
Maya
Walker,
calling
in
I,
appreciated
hearing
the
report
from
Senator
Bradford
about
the
improvements
and
the
money
expected
for
Market
Street
I'm
wondering.
Will
there
be
a
staff
report,
or
will
there
be
information
detailing
how
that
money
is
going
to
be
spent
for
Market
Street
in
support
of
our
small
businesses?
Thank
you.
So
much
thank.
C
Yes,
regarding
H3:
where
will
the
emergency
voucher
referrals
be
given
out,
because
there's
like
three
unhoused
gentlemen
on
Spruce,
who
are
in
desperate
need
of
housing,
I
would
like
to
give
them
some
information?
Should
I
go
to
the
housing
department
to
get
this
information?
What.
A
You
would
do
is
you
would
call
housing
if
you
just
call
in
the
journal
line?
I
don't
have
there
what
line
should
they
call
Roberto
foreign?
C
Also,
to
also
know
about
the
funds
that
Mr
Bradford
were
talking
about
they're
going
to
be
Small,
Business
Development
for
Manchester
for
district
one.
G
A
H
A
And
then
another
speakers.
N
Hi
when
I
was
speaking
earlier
was
supposed
to
be
on
the
finance
department,
because
I
was
against
the
approval
of
the
additional
93
250
to
be
given
to
MGT
Consulting
when
I
bought.
My
house
in
Inglewood
I
bought
it
in
this
neighborhood,
because
there
were
no
regulations
on
short-term
rentals.
So
I
knew
I'd
be
able
to
pay
my
mortgage
by
renting
out
my
house
and
living
in
the
Adu
on
the
lot.
Homeowners
in
Inglewood,
like
myself,
are
not
profiting
from
short-term
rentals
we're
not
getting
rich.
N
A
N
A
Calendar
and
that's
a
very
good
question.
I'ma
stop
your
time
again.
That's
a
very
good
question.
Here's
the
thing
you
live
in
a
residential
area,
okay
and
what
we
are
trying
to
do
is
balance
and
let
Inglewood
residents
have
an
opportunity
to
do
short-term
rentals
in
a
city
where
nobody
would
want
to
have
a
short-term
rental
before.
However,
however,
it's
not
meant
to
turn
Residential
Properties
into
hotels,
it's
not
fair
to
your
neighbors
that
everyone
that
wants
to
take
their
house
and
rent
it
out
all
year
can
inflict
that
upon
their
neighbors.
A
So
we
try
to
find
a
balance.
So
that's
the
way
it
is,
and
when
people
get
loans
for
homes
mortgages,
they
don't
base
them
on
whether
they're
going
to
do
short-term
rentals
or
not,
people
wouldn't
loan.
You
money
based
on
that,
so
when
people
say
hold
on
a
second
when
people
say
this
is
I
can't
afford
my
mortgage
I.
Don't
understand
that
because
when
you
got
your
mortgage,
you
didn't
do
it
based
upon
your
ability
to
have
a
short-term
rental.
A
N
But
to
continue
with
what
we
were,
what
I
was
just
saying
if
I'm
running
a
single.
M
N
Are
my
guests
and
I
feel
like
under
the
Constitution
and
Privacy
Act
I
should
be
able
to
host
I'm,
not
a
business
I'm,
just
hosting
some
people
in
my
house
to
be
able
to
pay
my
mortgage.
The
pandemic
happened,
so
things
were
different
before
that
and
after
that
it
was
not
the
same
with
the
job
market.
So
I
was
depending
on
this
income,
along
with
at
least.
A
A
A
A
N
A
A
No
ma'am,
actually,
what
we
would
rather
have
is
residential
areas
be
residential
areas,
but
what
we're
doing
is
acceding
to
the
fact
that
we
want
our
residents
to
be
able
to
make
extra
money
and
we're
trying
to
strike
a
balance,
and
we
don't
do
things
the
same
as
they
do
in
Los,
Angeles,
okay,
okay,
so
I'm
gonna
have
to
call
you
time
now,
I've,
given
you
lots
of
time,
because
I
really
wanted
to
to
talk
with
you
and
explain
it
to
you.
Thank
you
very
much.
P
The
council
about
the
presentation
by
Senator
Bradford,
where
he
mentioned,
that
there
was
a
surplus
of
funds
and,
as
I
said
earlier,
our
students
are
far
behind
and
they
really
need
additional
tutting
tutoring
if
the
parks
could
be
opened
up
and
have
tutoring
sessions
during
the
winter
breaks
and
after
school
tutoring.
That
would
help
them
meet
their
goal
of
advancement
or
Improvement
by
the
end
of
the
school
year,
which
the
County
of
Los
Angeles
is
requesting
under
the
receivership.
P
Also
parents,
part
of
that
receivership
parents
must
participate
in
the
schools,
but
they
are
hindered
because
of
the
permit
parking.
When
there
are
activities
on
campus,
they
have,
they
cannot
park
anywhere.
They
are
limited
in
where
they
can
park,
and
so
not
as
many
parents
show
up.
I
hope
that
the
city
council
can
adjust
the
permit
parking
to
allow
parents
to
participate
in
their
Community
Schools.
Okay,.
A
O
Foreign
clerk
should
stop
spreading
misinformation.
Mayor
bus
has
not
won
the
election
in
Inglewood.
A
person
must
win
by
50
plus
one
so
at
this
point
he's
almost
five
percent
away
from
being
forced
into
a
runoff.
So
let's
inform
our
residents
instead
of
spreading
misinformation,
giving
out
false
narratives
and
expecting
people
to
run
with
it.
So,
regarding
the
short-term
rental,
it's
obvious
that
that
ordinance
was
written
and
passed
to
benefit
developers,
especially
developers
of
hotels.
O
I,
also
know
that
the
mayor
and
this
Council
have
some
beautiful
scheme
that
doesn't
include
government
control
and
taxes
that
you're
forcing
on
the
residents
that
you
are
prepared
to
lay
out,
for
whichever
developer
you
find
to
turn
the
Market
Street
swap
meet
into
a
hotel.
You
all
are
the
worst
group
of
local
elected
officials.
I've
ever
lived
under
and
I
will
continue
to
attend
these
meetings,
to
raise
awareness
about
your
poor,
illegal
and
unethical
decisions
until
I'm
able
to
wake
our
community
up
to
the
fact
that
you
all
need.
B
G
Ward,
are
there
any
other
speakers?
No
more
speakers
mayor
all
right
with
that.
We'll
close
public
comment
and
we'll
go
to
Council
remarks,
mayor
and
Council
remarks.
R
First
of
all
good
evening,
everyone
and
bear
with
me-
because
it's
been
a
couple
of
weeks
for
me
to
give
you
this
report
so
bear
with
me.
It
takes
me
longer
than
it
normally
would
so.
First
of
all,
I
had
a
cop
with
the
cops
I
attended.
One
and
I
want
to
thank
the
ingwood
PD,
who
was
so
gracious
in
coming
out
and
spending
their
time,
and
we
were
able
to
correspond
with
the
the
citizens
and
a
lot
of
them
have
already
called.
They
were
very
appreciative
of
that.
So
thank
you.
R
Ipd
I
want
to
think
7-Eleven
for
the
response
for
sponsoring
the
event.
R
7-Eleven
has
always
been
someone.
You
could
some
that
we
could
count
on
and
they
stepped
up
and
made
it
very
very
nice
for
us
at
this.
Icup
coffee
with
a
cup
and
I
also
want
to
thank
Sabrina,
Barnes
and
her
team
for
helping
out
they
always
there
and
all
very
always,
very
professional.
So
thank
you
very
much.
R
We
also
attended
councilwoman
Fox
coffee
with
a
cop,
and
it
was
at
Norm's
Restaurant.
It
was
quite
an
experience
and
I
think
gnomes
would
be
glad
for
it.
They
had
quite
a
few
people
there
and
she
was
very
gracious.
So
thank
you
for
that.
R
This
is
a
preschool
and
it
had
been
there
for
many
many
years,
but
Richardson
took
it
over
and
I
think
it
would
be
very.
Very
good.
R
Anthony,
so
please
write
that
down:
go
by
and
visit
them.
I
think
you'll,
like
what
you
see.
If
you
have
kids
of
that
age,
please
go
and
give
them
a
shot.
R
I
was
also
invited
to
the
77th
Street
block
Club,
the
this
was
so
exciting
for
me,
because
I
got
a
chance
to
visit
with
all
the
people
on
the
street.
I
mean
everybody
was
out.
They
had
great
food,
a
lot
of
music
so
and
they
were
just
so
gracious
to
us,
because
my
wife
went
with
me.
That
is
more
of
what
I
hope
we
will
get
to
in
Inglewood,
where
the
black
clubs
will
start
operating
again
and
and
coming
out.
R
So
thank
you
to
77th
Street
block
club
I,
really
appreciate
how
you
laid
out
things.
R
K
R
We
owe
them
more
than
we
could
ever
pay
so
next
year,
mark
your
calendar
and
go
and
spend
some
time
with
the
bets,
and
if
you
see
one
or
no
one
thank
them
for
the
service,
it
won't
hurt
you,
but
it
will
certainly
help
them.
So
please
do
that
and
I
also
to
attend,
attended
the
United
Way
Rams
sponsored
the
walk,
La
5K
run
when
I
say
I
attended.
It
was
a
lot
of
people
attended.
This
was
a
great
event.
The
council
people
were
there
and
a
lot
of
people
from
other
cities.
R
Were
there.
If
you
look
look
at
the
picture,
it
was
really
great
so
next
time
they
do
it.
You
know
make
sure
you
make
arrangements
to
come
on
out
and
enjoy
the
fun
I
got
one
other
thing:
I
want
everyone
to
set
your
calendar
for
December
15th
2022
at
we
will
be
doing
our
Christmas
party
and
from
5
a.m.
For
5
P.M
to
8
pm.
Please
donate
an
unwrap
toy
through
the
icox
center.
Now
through
December,
the
10th
contact
Tawana
black
at
310-912.
J
Thank
you
mayor,
thank
you,
and
you
know
that
United
Way,
5K
walk
was
tremendous.
I
mean
overwhelming
responsive
Community,
not
only
from
Inglewood,
but
all
over
the
area
that
came
out
to
support
that
and
and
and
then
I
was
given
a
chance
to
do
a
classic
car
show.
J
As
part
of
that,
you
know
me
with
my
classic
car,
shows
and
there's
a
couple
of
pictures
there,
but
it
was
nice
to
have
our
first
ever
classic
car
show
at
Sofi
Stadium
I'm
Piggyback
in
the
the
United
Way
event,
so
really
a
fun
event
for
everybody
that
that
came
out
to
support
that
yesterday
and
I
know,
council,
member
Morales
will
touch
on
it.
We
all
had
a
chance
to
go
out
there
and
celebrate
Randy's
Donuts
70th
year
celebration.
That
was
a
lot
of
fun.
J
J
What
I
want
to
remind
folks
is
this:
it's
not
where
you
can
just
walk
up
and
expect
to
get
a
a
turkey
we're
not
doing
just
walk
up
and
grab
a
turkey
this
time
around,
you
have
to
register.
So
please,
you
know
if
you
live
in
District,
whatever
District
you're
in
call
your
Council
member's
office.
If
you're
in
my
district,
let
me
give
you
that
number.
It's
310.
J
-412-8601,
we
will
then
give
you
the
information
for
you
to
register.
You
have
to
be
registered
for
the
turkey
giveaway.
So
please
make
sure
you
get
that
done.
I
think
we're
turning
in
our
numbers
tomorrow,
if
I'm
not
mistaken.
So
if
you're
hearing
this
and
you
haven't
already
registered-
call
our
office
ASAP,
so
we
can,
we
can
get
you
on
that
list.
J
Also,
the
district
2
toy
drive
and
the
canned
food
drive
is
taking
place
on
Saturday
December,
the
10th
from
10
to
2
p.m.
At
the
district,
2
Community
Center,
it's
a
drive-through
event
kind
of
like
what
we
just
did
a
little
over
a
month
ago
for
the
canned
food
drive,
so
we'll
be
doing
it
again
on
December
10th,
again
it's
a
drive-through
and
we
truly
appreciate
everybody's
support
because
we're
able,
in
turn
to
provide
toys
and
and
some
food
for
those
families
in
need,
Mary
can
I
get
a
minute
sure.
J
Ahead
there
you
go
and
then
also
you
know,
I
want
to
thank
Senator
Bradford
for
everything
he
does
for
our
community,
not
even
not
only
here
in
England
but
to
surrounding
different
cities
that
he
represents
and
always
being
a
a
person.
That's
there
for
all
of
us
and
he's
doing
his
turkey
giveaway
next
Tuesday
is
as
well
of
from
10
to
12..
If
you're
interested
in
attending
his
turkey
giveaway,
please
call
310.
J
You
know
I
just
want
to
thank
all
of
our
residents
in
District
2,
for
your
overwhelming
support
of
my
re-election.
I
can't
tell
you
just
honored
and
grateful
that
I
am
to
receive
the
support
that
you've.
Given
me
throughout
the
years
and
the
support
that
you
came
out
and
showed
me
last
Tuesday
night
in
this
re-election.
J
I
am
so
grateful
and
you
know
I
I
am
truly
looking
forward
to
continuing
to
serve
each
and
every
one
of
you
and
representing
not
only
District
Two,
but
also
representing
the
city
of
Inglewood.
So
thank
you
for
believing
in
me.
Thank
you
for
your
vote
of
confidence
and
I
guarantee
you
I'm
going
to
be
here
to
work
hard
for
each
and
every
one
of
you,
muchisimas
gracias.
I
I
didn't
know
that
one
I'm
just
playing
councilwoman.
A
K
Thank
you
mayor.
Thank
you.
So
I
wanted
to
talk
to
you
all
about
some
of
the
different
events
that
are
have
happened,
but
then
also
some
that
are
coming
up.
That
I
want
to
make
sure
that
that
my
district
for
residents
are
aware
of
first.
Hopefully,
everyone
had
a
very
good
Veterans
Day
weekend.
K
I
and
councilman
Dodson
did
go
to
the
U.S
vet
center
right
here
in
the
wonderful
city
of
Inglewood
and
celebrated
Veterans
Day
with
them,
and
so
I
think
you
need
to
that
is
from
the
next
picture,
guys
so
but
yeah.
So
we
were
there
for
Veterans
Day.
They
had
a
wonderful
turnout.
We
wanted
to
show
our
support
for
for
our
folks
that
serve
in
the
military.
Thank
you
again
for
your
service
always
want
to
be
there
to
support
them
whenever
possible.
It
was
a
very
nice
event.
K
I
want
to
acknowledge
the
executive
director
Jessica
Golson,
who
did
a
very
nice
event
this
year
on
Saturday
in
my
district
I,
was
up
early
in
the
morning
at
Greater,
Emmanuel
Baptist
Church
in
District
Four,
and
we
did
a
food
giveaway,
a
ham
giveaway.
Those
are
the
right
pictures
guys.
Thank
you.
K
We
did
a
ham
giveaway
for
residents
in
the
city
of
Inglewood
that
have
a
need
for
food,
so
I
want
to
acknowledge
the
great
work
that
Pastor
Mitchell
is
doing
with
Greater
Emmanuel
Baptist
Church,
and
thank
him
for
his
great
work
and
great
service
and
allowing
me
to
come
and
help
him
with
that
event.
Also
on
Saturday
transitioned
over
to
the
walk,
United
La
event
that
was
put
on
by
United
Way
and
it
was
held
at
Sofi
Stadium,
it
was
a
very
nice
event
glad
to
be
out
there.
K
Have
my
boys
participate
and
see
what
community
service
really
looks
like
at
a
larger
scale.
The
5K
walk
had
hundreds
thousands
of
people
participate
in
it,
and
so
I
was
there
with
councilman,
Morales
and
Dodson
and
of
course,
our
mayor.
He
kicked
off
the
actual
walk,
so
he
did
the
honors
of
that.
So
it
was
a
great
event.
Thank
you.
So,
much
to
Sofi
stadium
for
being
a
great
Community
partner
today,
at
La
care
that
is
located
in
the
Crenshaw
Imperial
Center.
K
K
It's
a
walk
up.
You
did
not
have
to
register,
but
it's
a
great
Community
event.
I
want
to
acknowledge
the
great
work
that
LA
Care
Blue
Shield
does
in
the
community
they're
a
great
partner
with
with
my
office
and
I,
look
forward
to
continuing
to
support
them
and
what
they're
doing
for
residents
in
Inglewood
in
December
I
will
be
having
two
toy
giveaways.
The
first
one
is
I'm
gonna
happen
on
Sunday,
December
4th
and
that's
going
to
be
at
the
Crenshaw
Imperial
Center.
It
will
be
snowing
in
Inglewood.
K
We
are
gonna
have
snow
for
our
our
inner
city,
kids.
Some
of
them
have
never
seen
snow,
so
I'm
really
excited
to
be
able
to
allow
our
kids
to
be
able
to
run
and
play
in
snow
this
year.
So
I'm
looking
forward
to
it.
That
will
happen
on
Sunday
December
4th
from
12
to
4.,
make
sure
you're
there
it's
going
to
be
a
fabulous
event
for
our
families
and
that's
all
I
have
mayor.
Thank.
I
Thank
you
first.
Let
me
start
by
congratulating
all
of
my
colleagues
here
to
the
right:
councilman
Dodson,
congratulations
on
the
well-fought
campaign
and
your
election
brought
you
to
a
runoff,
so
I
expect
you
another
four
years
after
that
one's
over
councilman,
Padilla
I
think
you
know
the
numbers
speak
for
themselves.
I
think
people
tend
to
pay
too
much
attention
to
the
actual
election.
The
truth
is
they
reflect
four
hard
years
that
you
worked
and
the
response
you
gave
to
the
residents.
So
that's
no
surprise
there.
Thank.
J
I
Of
course,
our
our
leader
here
mayor,
butts
amazing.
You
know
the
truth
is
that
you
know
you
always
will
get
the
most
Challengers.
You
will
always
get
the
most
attacks.
You'll
always
get
the
most
coming
at
you
in
every
election
and
I.
Don't
think
people
realize
you
know,
as
as
our
city
clerk
who
goes
over
and
over
elections,
and
we
both
have
been
here
for
about
15
20
elections.
We
know
what
55
percent
is
in
a
mayor's
race,
and
so
I
want
to
congratulate
you
for
that
in
another
four
years
am
I
right.
I
The
another
couple
things
the
5K
run,
I
think
I
won
that
race
on
Saturday,
went
home
showered
and
then
was
on
stage
yeah
anyway.
You
know
those
events
at
Sofi,
Stadium
amazing,
be
because
there
was
people
from
all
over
Southern,
California
and
even
farther,
and
it's
just
an
opportunity
to
them
to
come
drive
through
Inglewood
get
to
know
who
we
really
are,
after
years
and
years
and
years
of
of
them,
thinking
whatever
they
thought
by
the
news
clippings
or
whatever.
I
So
those
are
always
days
where
we're
all
our
own
ambassadors
and
and
it's
just
a
beautiful
thing-
to
watch
Randy's
Donuts
a
70-year
anniversary.
You
know
we
all
have
a
Randy
story
when
you
grow
up
in
Englewood.
You
know
I
said
yesterday,
you
know
we
used
to
use
it
as
our
GPS
right.
We
tell
relatives
to
start
at
the
donut
and
we
tell
them
where
to
go
from
there.
I
That
was
because
it
was
always
there
always
a
part
of
Inglewood,
and
you
know
being
connected
to
that
is
amazing,
because
the
two
gentlemen
who
started
it
back
in
1950,
Ron
and
Larry,
they
were
there
and
they
I
saw
them,
come
up
to
the
mayor
and
congratulate
him
on
everything
that
has
been
going
on
in
Inglewood
and
coming
from
those
two
that
ended
up
retiring
and
and
and
living
wherever
they
seven
years
ago,
and
for
them
to
look
fondly
into
the
city
that
they
spent
so
much
time
on
and
just
kind
of
root.
I
For
us.
You
know
it's
just
the
the
the
the
the
city's
full
of
those
type
of
businesses.
I
congratulate
them.
Mark,
of
course,
who
ended
up
be
being
the
new
owner,
we're
very
lucky
to
have
him
because
he
has
a
strong
sense
of
community,
comes
from
a
great
family
and
has
just
rebranded
Randy's
donut
worldwide.
Let
me
know
that
he
just
opened
up
in
Korea
recently,
so
so
it's
humongous,
Randy's
Donuts,
started
here
in
England.
Turkey's
like
councilman
Padilla,
said,
call
us
each
in
our
office.
I
The
lists
are
going
filling
up
fast.
The
number
to
my
office
is.
I
310-412-8603
and
aside
from
that,
Happy
Thanksgiving,
everybody.
A
Well,
thank
you.
Councilman
Morales,
one
of
the
things
that
was
very
gratifying
for
me
was
to
go
to
that
seventh
anniversary
of
Randy's
in
1972.
A
When
I
came
on
the
department
working
graveyard,
that's
where
my
partner
and
I
would
go
to
get
donuts
at
two
and
three
in
the
morning
I
didn't
drink,
coffee,
I
would
get
orange
juice
and
everybody
thought
I
was
so
weird
have
donuts
and
orange
juice.
But
what
I'm
trying
to
say
is
that
there's
so
much
history
in
this
town
and
Randy's
is
now
an
icon.
That's
known
worldwide,
the
big
donut,
and
so
you
know
to
come
back
and
be
mayor
and
to
see
Ron
and
Larry,
because
they
they
work
the
window
themselves
on
graveyard.
A
They
were
there
on
graveyard.
It
was.
It
was
very
heartwarming
to
me
the
walk
United
run
looked
like
they
had
a
thousand
people
this
year.
It
was
really
great,
and
you
know
the
worst
thing
about
being
last
is
because
everybody's
already
covered
it,
and
it
was
also
an
honor
to
oh
yeah.
So
anyway,
that's
me
see
all
those
Runners
and
I
was
also
honored
to
go
to
the
opening
of
the
Dolores
T
Richardson
School
Derek
Richardson,
who
was
in
the
former
NBA
referee.
A
He
bought
the
property
at
auction
and
he's
reopening
it.
I
know
so
many
children
went
to
K
Anthony,
including
my
youngest
daughter,
so
many
goddaughters
that
have
graduated
from
K
Anthony
and
to
see
that
preserved
as
a
community
icon.
Just
meant
a
lot
to
me.
Myself
and
councilman
dots
were
there
to
cut
the
ribbon
and
we're
very
proud.
A
A
It's
just
often
misguided
complain
about
the
swap
meet
in
the
city.
Buying
the
swap
mean
I,
don't
know
what
her
complaint
was,
but
we
have
put
in
a
50
000
option
to
buy
on
that
property
because
we
want
to
see
if
we
can
find
a
developer.
That
will
do
something.
That's
more
in
keeping
with
what
we
want
to
be
an
anchor
on
Market
Street
and
if
we're
not
able
we'll
probably
let
our
option
to
buy
Labs.
So
you
know
one
of
the
things
you
need
and
people
that
run
your
city's
business.
A
They
shouldn't
just
pop
off
with
conspiracy
theories
about
corruption
and
this,
and
that
this
Council
over
the
years
has
made
some
darn
good
decisions,
and
you
know
when
you're,
making
really
good
decisions
when
the
biggest
complaint
is
that
the
council
votes
in
unison
on
things
that
have
brought
the
city
forward.
I
want
you
to
think
about
that.
That
was
the
biggest
thing
you
heard
in
this
election
is
that
they
all
vote
together
where
all
the
votes
have
been
for
things.
A
That
are
amazing,
that
any
City
in
this
country
would
just
be
delighted
to
have
delighted
to
have,
and
so
when.
That's
your
opposition
to
complain
not
about
success
or
failure,
but
to
complain
about
people
that
are
unanimous
in
bringing
City
forward.
I'm
have
to
tell
you,
gentlemen
and
Lady
job
well
done
with
that.
We're
adjourned.
