Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
B
All
right,
it's
five
o'clock,
and
this
is
somewhat
of
an
off
schedule,
special
meeting
of
the
city
council.
So
everything
that
we
normally
do
at
the
beginning
of
the
meeting
is
on
our
agenda,
but
I'm
gonna,
I'm
gonna
complicate
a
little
bit
of
that.
B
Such
but
I
do
want
to
take
a
moment
to
remember
one
of
our
longtime
citizens
and
volunteers.
With
the
citizen
of
this
Academy
alumni
association
have
passed
away,
who's,
also
a
volunteer
on
our
police
pension
board
for
some
time.
So
he
served
our
community
very
loyally,
Faithfully.
He
didn't.
B
In
in
2014,
so
I
have
to
learn
how
to
passed
away
earlier
this
week,
and
then
we
just
saw
the
news
of
anju
Coughlin,
who
was
also
a
Regis
resident,
and
you
may
know,
as
the
wife
of
Tom
Coughlin,
passed
away
after
a
a
pretty
hard
battle
against
the
debilitating
disease.
So
just
want
to
ask
everyone
to
join
me
anymore
moment
of
silence,
and
then
we
will
have
the
pledge.
C
C
B
Since
this
is
a
special
meeting,
we
do
not
have
any
minutes
to
approve
and
we
do
have
a
meeting
on
Monday.
But
does
anyone
have
any
announcements
that
they'd
like
to
make
today
Mr
Campbell.
C
C
B
On
we
have
two
ordinances
for
our
business
today:
did
everyone
get
a
staff
update
for
those.
E
Good
evening
here
in
Nelson,
Deputy
city
manager,
the
first
ordinance
before
you
is
I,
am
a
to
approve
an
ordinance
for
to
amend
the
city
of
Jacksonville
Beach
General
employees,
pension
plan
the
benefit
provision
for
the
cap.
If
the
maximum
benefit
provision
is
being
proposed
to
be
increased
from
ninety
thousand
dollars
to
a
hundred
thousand
dollars,
the
percentage
cap
will
still
remain
at
75
percent.
E
So
the
only
change
that
we
are
proposing
today
is
to
change
the
heart
cap
from
90
000
to
100..
You
have
all
been
provided
with
an
impact
statement
on
page
seven
of
the
general
employee's
impact
statement.
You
see
a
schedule
that
looks
something
like
this
I
just
wanted
to
point
out.
There
is
a
title
for
an
illustrated,
City
and
chapter
portion
in
that
table
there.
For
the
general
plan.
E
E
And
do
that
sometimes
well.
Item
B
is
if
a
similar
ordinance
for
the
police
officer's
plan
to
change
the
hard
cap
from
90
000
to
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
police
officers
plan
currently
has
a
gap
of
90
or
90
000
and
that
will
read
90
or
a
hundred
thousand
dollars.
The
only
other
change
we're
proposing
to
the
police
officers
plan
is
to
change
the
term
limit
for
the
member
appointment
trustees.
Excuse
me
for
two
years
to
four
years
and
that
will
be
more
consistent
with
the
provisions
that
we
already
have
in
our
general
employees
plan.
E
The
impact
statement
for
the
police
officer's
plan
has
a
similar
table
that
shows
you,
the
Illustrated,
City
and
chapter
portion.
That
impact
statement
does
not
include
a
breakdown
between
that
City
portion
and
child
support
design,
providing
that
for
you,
it's
approximately
a
60
40
split,
so
the
city
contribution
will
go
from
476
830
to
519
386
for
a
dollar
increase
of
about
forty
two
thousand
dollars
is
there
estimates
of
quarters,
but
it's
expected
to
be
an
increase
of
42,
000
annually
and
I'm
here.
To
answer
any
questions,
if
you
want
to.

A
motion
in
a
second
any
discussion
from
Council
Mr,
thank
you
for
making
sure
that
we
stay
competitive
with
our
general
employees,
as
well
as
with
our
police
officers.
These
will
make
the
adjustments
needed
to
try
and
be
more
competitive,
or
at
least
we're
on
the
way
to
being
more
competitive
for
retention
and
attraction
view
employees.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
