KEEP LAREDO BEAUTIFUL BOARD 100521
A
B
Okay
tracy
king
present,
jackie
son.
B
A
Discussion
with
possible
action
on
the
following
items:
review
of
one-time
amendment
to
bylaws
for
extension
of
term
of
service,
so
that
was
what
we
were
reviewing
last
time.
Do
you
want
me
to
read
all
of
them,
and
then
you
just
want
to
update
us
on
what
they
are
or
do
you
want
to
table
these
until
next
time.
C
A
A
Two
by
laws
for
extension
of
term
of
service
review
of
specific
amount
of
time
lost
due
to
coverage,
removal
of
members
who
have
been,
who
have
not
been
responsive
or
attending
board
meetings,
review
of
amendment
2
by
laws
to
allow
virtual
meeting
attendance
and
the
creation
of
sub
committees.
This
is
all
going
to
be
discussed
at
the
next
meeting
where
more
board
members
are
present.
C
A
One
agrees:
okay
and
then
now
staff
reports,
which
is
a
non-action
item,
the
affiliate
activity
report,
which
you
would
have
yes.
B
Okay,
so
in
the
last
few
months,
since
our
last
meeting,
we
had
a
gardening
day
in
august
7th.
So
basically
what
we
did
was
just
we
started
building,
we
started
finishing
the
the
raised
garden
beds
and
we
also
planted
some
small
pollinators
in
the
in
the
little
garden
beds.
We
had
about
20
volunteers
that
went,
and
it
was
already
it
was
a
really
97.
There
was
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
kids
that
grew
up
in
that
area
where.
D
B
Yeah
and
then
in
september
four,
I
it
was
on
a
saturday,
the
park
staff.
They
were
installing
an
irrigation
system
and
also
more
plants
more
like
milkweed
and
stuff
like
that
on
the
raised
garden
beds,
and
they
also
made
a
trail
of
crushed
granite,
and
so
that's
that's
what
they
are
working
on.
So
I
think
officially,
in
regards
to
that,
grant
that
we
got,
I
think,
the
project
this
is
technically
completed.
B
We're
still
we're
still
missing
a
couple
of
things
that
need
to
happen
for
the
actual
garden
to
be
like
done,
but
as
far
as
the
grant
goes
we're
done
with
that.
So
I'm
going
to
be
working
on
a
wrap-up
report
and
I'm
going
to
be
submitting
that
to
keep
texas
beautiful
within
the
next
few
weeks,
so
that
we
can
report
that
we've
already,
you
know,
we've
already
spent.
D
B
Money
that
they
gave
us
and
it's
it
went
towards
a
really
really
nice,
looking
butterfly
garden,
that's
outside
yeah,
so
the.
D
B
The
the
planting
day
that
we
had
with
volunteers
wasn't
not
was
in
august
and
then,
when
parks
that
came
in
was
september,
4.,
yeah
and
then
on
august
21st.
We
had
a
cleanup
back
to
school
cleanup.
It
was
a
partnership
between
kob
and
logarito
and
councilmember
mercury
martinez,
and
we
had
about
40
volunteers
that
went
to
that
event.
It
was
at
slaughter
park
and
together
they
all
picked
up
around
2.5
tons
of
litter.
B
So
that's
really
really
awesome
and
then,
on
september
25
we
partnered
with
lorita
rotary
and
risk
to
show
film
screaming
screening
of
documentary,
the
story
of
plastic
and
that
one,
it
didn't,
have
a
lot
of
attendance.
But
there
was
still
there
was
still
a
few
people
that
when
there
was
a
panel
of
people
that
were
talking
about
how
how
plastic
really
has
been
impacting
the
the
environment
and
how
we
can
stop
that
or
you
know
who
is
also
responsible
for
these
things.
B
B
Event,
it
happens
every
fourth
october
of
the
of
every
year
for
the
tomorrow.
Fourth
saturday,.
B
Saturday,
in
october,
and
and
so
together
with
others,
other
schools,
other
organizations
and
other
cities,
there's
going
to
be
millions
of
volunteers
that
are
going
to
be
doing
an
act
of
service
in
that
day,
and
so
for
that
day,
what
we,
what
we
wanted
to
do
was
do
a
troll
restoration
at
the
las
palmas
nature
trail.
So
this
one
is
located
in
in
the
downtown
era.
It's
right!
Next
to
the
river.
It's
a
really
really
beautiful
spot.
B
We've
done
a
walkthrough
twice
already
we're
going
to
do
another
one
in
on
thursday,
and
basically,
what
we
want
our
volunteers
to
do
is
just
help
us
restore
that
trail
and
just
make
it
look
nicer
and
then,
together
with
risk,
we're
going
to
have
a
litter,
cleanup
and
they're,
also
going
to
do
after
the
cleanup
of
brand
got
dotted.
So
basically,
what
the
brand
audit
and
tell
us
is
them
sorting
through
the
litter
that
was
picked
up
and
sorting
them
by
brand
and
so
we're
gonna
see.
You
know
how
many
coca-cola
brand.
B
There
you
know
chips
and
like
what.
What
brand
is
that,
like
that,
we're
going
to
be
sorting
them
through
brand
through
each
brand
and
and
we're
good?
Essentially,
the
point
of
it
is
to
hold
the
companies
that
are
supplying.
All
of
these.
You
know
single-use
plastics
and
stuff
like
that.
We're
gonna
hold
them
accountable
through
doing
something
like
this
scene.
Who
really
is
you
know
the
culprit
of
you
know,
throwing
all
of
this
litter
and
making
all
of
this
plastic
and
and
just
damages
the
environment.
B
So
we
are
shooting
for
300
volunteers,
so
hopefully
we
can.
We
can
get
those
numbers
right
now.
I
think
we're
at
120
people
that
have
registered
so
far,
so
I
mean
we're
still
we're
not
we're
not
there
yet,
but
I
think
I
think,
we're
I
think
we're
doing
pretty
good,
and
I
know
that
usually
a
few
days
before
the
event
actually
happens
is
when
people
usually
start
registering
for
the
event.
B
So
hopefully
I
I
hope
that
we
can
get
those
numbers,
we're
still
finalizing
a
few
things,
but
I
think
so
far
the
progress
that
we
made
is
really
really
good,
and
I
hope
that
it's
a
really
a
really
successful
event.
So,
yes,.
B
Starts
at
9am
and
it
ends
at
1pm,
and
so
what
we're
looking
at
is
having
our
volunteers
show
up
to
tamiu
and
then
once
they're
at
tamiu.
We're
going
to
be
providing
transportation
on
buses
to
the
project
site.
Because
parking
is
a
bit
of
a
is
a
bit
of
a
problem
in
that
area,
and
we
just
think
it
would
be
safer,
more
convenient
for
our.
B
B
I
I
want
to
continue
doing
more
events,
even
if
there's
small
events
but
yeah
I've
just
been
trying
to
finish
the
projects
that
that
we
had
going,
and
so
now
I
can
focus
on
on
possibly
having
more
events
happening.
So
that's
pretty
much
it
from
staff.
A
Okay
and
then
we
said
I
remember
at
last
at
the
last
meeting-
we're
gonna
get
a
good
list
of
events
or
this
because
I
got
my
binder
here.
I
guess
I
didn't
know,
because
I
would
like
to
maybe
attend
some
or
be
there
because
I
know
all
these
events
happen
and
I
see
them
on
facebook,
but
I'm
like
or
instagram
or
whatever,
and
I'm
like.
Oh,
I
should
have
gone
and.
A
My
life
is
so
busy
like.
I
can
you
send
this
email,
like
maybe
like
a.
B
B
Yeah
yeah,
for
now
it's
just.
This
is
the
only
upcoming
event
that
we
have
october
20th
yeah
on
october
23.,
and
that
one
is
just
four
tommy
youth
students.
A
Oh,
we
can't
ask
our
like
nixon
students
or
other.
You
know.
B
For
this
one-
yes,
hopefully
in
the
in
the
near
future,
we
can
have
something
where
we
can
open
it
up
to
the
public.
But
for
now
this
one
is
is
focused
only
on
tamiu
students,
okay
yeah,
but
but
once
we
get
something
like
that
going,
I
can
definitely
work
on
an
event
calendar
and
have
you
guys
updated
so
that
that
way?
If
you
would
like
to
attend
or
invite
somebody
to
to
attend,
you
can
have
that
information
right
there.
So
it
is
absolutely
cool.
Thank.
A
A
E
Know
last
meeting
tony
austin
wanted
to
talk
at
one
of
one
of
the
next
meetings.
I
know
he
was.
He
just
had
the
keem
texas,
beautiful
thing
he's
now
the
president,
I
think,
on
the
board
over
there
and
he
wanted
to.
He
wanted
to
come
in
and
share
some
stuff
with
us.
Okay,
he
had
asked
for
time
for
the
next
meeting,
so
we
can
reach
out
to
tony
and
see
if
he's
available.
E
E
It
gives
staff
more
time
to
make
sure
everything's
in
line
with
everything
that
we
needed
for
whatever
we
asked
for.
I
know
she'll
be
working
on
it,
but
after
everything
happens,
so
get
everything
worked
on
and
make
sure
we
have
all
the
information
that
we
requested
ready
to
rock
and
roll.
B
B
It
says
right
here
when
your
oath
was
taken
and
then
when
your
term
would
end.
D
B
What
the
timeline
looks
like
and
depending
on,
if
you
guys
want
to
make
an
amendment
an
extension
on
your
term,
then
I
can
go
ahead
and
put
what
that
would
look
like.
So
if
you
want
to
make
it
like
a
six
month,
extension
or
a.
B
B
You
just
came
in,
but
most
most
of
the
members
came
in
on
in
may
and
in
june,
and
so
I
I
put
in
the
the
memo
from
the
cd
manager
where
he
was
suspending
all
in-person
meetings.
This
is
from
july
6
and
then
I
couldn't
find
like
an
exact
date
for
when.
B
To
host
meetings
again,
but
I
found
the
email
where,
where
blasita
was
saying
like
yes,
we're
able
to
have.
A
B
E
I
think
we'll
discuss
it
at
the
next
one,
looking
at
the
like,
looking
at
the
dates
just
looking
at
the
time,
the
terms
ends
and
stuff
like
that,
that'd
be
the
only
thing
that
would
concern
me
because
then,
if
we,
if
we
push
everybody,
then
that
pretty
much
means
that
we'll
have
a
couple
of
meetings
and
then
we
have
to
get
all
your
board
members
and
I'm
the
only
one
here
so
and.
C
A
A
Right
so
yeah
definitely.
C
I
think
that's,
I
have
nothing
else.
