Description
LAREDO COMMISSION FOR WOMEN MEETING 061421
B
B
B
A
A
B
We're
open
to
public
comments,
I
don't
know
if
there
are
any
comments.
Normally
these
would
come
from
the
public,
and
so
I
don't
believe
we
have
any
comments
for
today,
so
we're
going
to
dismiss
with
that.
Our
next
would
be
the
approval
of
the
march
minutes.
If
you
will
take
a
look
at
those
and
then
weigh
the.
B
B
And
folks,
before
we
go
any
further,
I
was
asked
to
do
something
just
so
that
we
would
all
be
aware.
That's
why
I
was
asking
a
little
while
ago,
if
all
of
you
had
a
copy
of
the
ordinance,
there
was
a
change
in
the
language
governing
the
attendance
and
or
the
absence
requirements
for
the
commission,
and
so
I'm
going
to
read,
I'm
going
to
read
the
new
the
piece
from
the
ordinance
just
so
that
we're
all
aware.
B
It's
simply
a
reminder,
because
there
has
been
a
change
according
to
ordinance,
2019
approved
by
the
city
on
august
2019
and
reiterated
in
our
laws.
It
states
that
committee
members
will
automatically
forfeit
their
appointed
position
for
failure
to
attend
four
regularly
scheduled
meetings
in
one
calendar
year
from
january
to
december
four
regularly
scheduled
meetings
in
one
year.
All
committee
members
are
now
starting
with
a
clean
slate
right
now
we're
zero
absences.
B
All
right,
absolutely
isn't
clear.
I
know
that
we
might
want
to
have.
We
might
want
a
question
of
the
question
after
that.
I
frankly
are
not
too
clear.
Right
now,
our
year
was
completely
turned
inside
out,
as
was
just
about
every
other
commission.
I
think
most
of
the
commission's
stopped
meeting,
except
perhaps
the
one
for
ethics.
B
So,
let's
ask
suleiman
my
understanding.
Is
that
we're
starting
fresh
with
this
meeting,
and
that
would
mean
that
from
here
through,
but
since
originally
it
was
a
calendar
year
I
want
to.
I
want
to
make
sure
that
it's
clarified
for
all
of
us,
but
four
meetings
that
were
scheduled.
If
we
missed
four
meetings,
we
would
have
to
work
in
our
position.
Okay,
the
other
thing
I
wanted
to
normally
that's
why
I
was
asking
about
the
clock,
because
normally
the
clock
is
accurate.
B
We
try
very
hard
to
keep
our
meetings
to
a
month
to
an
hour
in
one
hour
we're
busy.
All
of
you
are
busy.
All
of
us
are
busy,
and
so
we
try
very
hard
to
feed
them
to
an
hour.
Sometimes
if
we
know
that
we've
got
an
item
on
the
agenda,
that's
going
to
require
a
lot
of
discussion
and
we
might
let
you
know
hey
you
know
next
month.
B
It
might
be
that
when
we're
going
to
run
more
than
an
hour,
but
in
respect
in
respect
of
your
time,
we
do
try
to
maintain
on
our
schedule
for
the
meetings.
Okay
doesn't
mean
that
we
don't
we
don't.
We
can't
go
over
time,
but
we
do
try
to
respect
your
time.
Okay,
all
right
and
then
the
other
thing
too,
is
that,
as
we
move
into
the
introduction
of
the
new
members,
we're
practically
a
brand
new
state
which
is
wonderful.
E
B
I
also
want
to
give
credit
and
acknowledge
those
that
were
here
before
you,
and
so
I
want
to
for
the
record.
I
want
to
thank
for
the
record.
Thank
you.
Privately
they've
been
thanked
by
email,
but
I
want
to
make
sure
that
we
thank
publicly
because
we're
on
the
tape
we're
on
the
tube,
and
so
I
want
to
recognize
dolores
boswell,
who
was
also
one
of
our
committee
members.
B
She
resigned
in
june
olga
gentry,
who
resigned
in
march
sandra
rocha
taylor,
who
was
serving
and
gave
up
her
place
for
one
of
our
new
members,
diane
espinoza,
who
also
gave
her
place
up
for
one
of
our
new
members,
elia
guevara,
who
gave
her
place
for
a
new
member
and
carol
alexander
also
as
well
as
alicia
kevera.
They
were
exceptional
committee
members,
commission
members
and
I
want
to
thank
them
and
now
what
I'd
like
very
much
to
do
would
be
to
go
around
the
table
and,
in
particular,.
B
F
C
Okay
good
afternoon,
ladies,
it
is
with
great
pleasure
that
I
welcome
all
of
you.
You
know
I'm
being
very
honored
to
have
been
asked
to
be
part
of
the
commission
for
women.
Back
when
mr
juan
ramirez
was
a
district
8
I
served
under
him,
then
I
was
under
cindy
liendo
and
then
under.
C
E
C
Charlie
san
miguel
and
then
when
I
was
leaving
after
liendo,
you
know
he
approached
me
and
he
says
I'm
already
on
my
way
out
and
then
he
said
we
were
actually
doing
an
event
for
the
both
peninus
and,
and
he
said
I.
C
B
C
And
it's
it's
been
really
a
pleasure
aside
from
that,
I
was
an
educator
for
40
years.
I
I
actually
retired
a
year
ago
in
may
after
40
years
and
I'm
very
happy
to
say
that,
aside
from
being
a
teacher,
I
was
very
blessed
that
the
the
jay-z
gladly
elementary
school
library
was
named
after
me
in
2018.
C
And
aside
from
that,
I'm
with
laurel
commissioner,
actually
I'm
with
the
habitat
for
humanity
and
the
board
of
border
directors,
so
we've
had
women's
build
for
all
women
built.
You
know.
I
know
that
some
of
the
other,
ladies,
have
been
there
previously.
You
know
from
the
commission
and
they
just
love
the
work.
You
know
you
get
to
learn
a
lot
and
you
know
it's
just
a
blessing
because
that's
what
my
parents
taught
us,
you
know
to
always
get
return
and
make
a
difference
in
somebody
else's
life
and.
E
C
G
C
B
C
D
Well,
and
it's
so
nice
that
I
said
we're,
students.
D
E
D
I
And
appointed
by
the
honorable
junior,
it's
an
honor
for
me
to
be
sitting
at
this
table
among
women
of
your
caliber.
I'm
really
excited.
I
have
an
enormous
love
for
this
community
and
I
hope
and
pray
that
together
we
can
represent.
B
But
the
intent
was
to
give
women
the
voice,
because
you
know
as
long
as
I
do
that
even
today,
women
women
are
often
voiceless
as
much
as
we
work
and
as
much
as
we
achieve
we're
still
very
often,
and
sometimes
not
only
challenged
by
by
the
most
male
1
contingency
but
often
times
by
our
own.
And
so
the
idea
behind
the
commission
was
to
lift
not
only
each
other
up
but
to
give
the
women
of
the
level
of
voice.
B
J
J
Esther
person,
I'm
from
monreal
I've
been
with
the
commission
for
about,
I
would
say
six
over
six
years.
Quantum
advice
is
a
person
that
appointed
me
and
then
council,
member
albert
doris,
what
I
do
for
a
lady.
I
was
the
just
so
many
things,
but
let
me
go
back
to
my
favorite.
I
was
the
for
32
years.
I
was
a
public
relations
director
and
director
of
sales
and
marketing
for
hilton
hotels
and
holidays.
J
I
trained
staff
on
sales,
did
the
market
assignments
and
traveled
and
made
sure
that
the
revenue
was
based
on
what
it
was
projected
and
possibly
over,
but
the
numbers
were
my
responsibility
for
the
regions
of
the
hotels.
I
love
doing
that.
I
did
that
for
32
years,
but
on
the
side
I
had
to
miss
laredo
pageant.
J
We
did
the
missouri
pageant
for
about
seven
years
and
that
time
and
I
think
to
this
day
voted.
We
all
do
the
surrounding
cities
and
we
also
crown
them
give
them
a
title
now
I'll
go
to
compete
for
them
as
texas.
In
addition
to
that,
I
have
a
modeling
school.
I
have
over
400
students,
it
was
called
chanel
school
of
modeling.
I
did
that
as
well.
Then
I
got
really
serious
and
older,
so
I
decided
to
kind
of
focus
on
my
children.
J
D
J
E
J
K
Thank
you
maureen.
Well,
my
name
is
marie
gonzalez
and
I'm
a
native
florida
and
we
just
moved
back.
We've
been
back.
K
Well,
let
me
go
back
my
extensive
years
in
banking,
so
I
was
15
years
at
ibc
and
another
15
years
as
district
owner
at
wells
fargo.
So
at
the
lower
lower
valley
and
in
towards
the
brownsville
area,
then
we
moved
back
to
laredo
native
paradigm
and
so
retired
from
banking
and
we
bought
a
franchise.
So
the
franchise
that
I
work
for
is
I'm
national,
I'm
a
which
is
credit
repair.
I'm
a
credit
consultant.
I've
been
doing
that
for
about.
K
Like,
I
would
say
nine
years
I
got
married
to
cedro
gonzalez
and
I
have
two
sons:
one
30
year
old
and
a
27.
I
think
he's
27.
K
L
And
that
is
my
name
yes,
and
I
have
never
been
involved
with
anything
like
this.
I
was
a
soldier
and
then
I
was
a
professor
in
taiyu,
and
this
is
my
first
time
well,
second,
because
I
did
run
for
this
week's
seven,
so
it
was
vanessa
who
appointed
me
to
use
the
board
and
she
did
it
telling
me.
You
seem
to
care
a
lot
about
missing.
She
would
say
so
go
and
do
something
about
it.
L
Basically,
and
so
I'm
very
much
looking
forward
to
be
a
hands-on
type
of
person,
and
I
am
so
happy
to
hear
that
we
are
going
to
revisit
the
action
plans
because
I
am
very
much
public
oriented.
I
am
a
professor
of
public
administration,
and
so
I
am
very
much
just
so.
You
know
passionately
going
to
bring
into
the
voices
that
are
normally
not
hurt
the
poor,
the
single
young
women
in
our
city,
I'm
saying
young
because
she's
younger
she's,
a
mother
but
yeah.
B
When
you're,
not
in
a
in
a
seminar,
I
was
in
the
women's.
L
B
N
M
Husband
is
a
doctor.
He
just
graduated
from
saint
mary's.
I
mean
not
saint
mary's
incarnate
word
in
san
antonio
and
she.
M
Area,
yes,
that
was
one
of
my
goals
many
years
ago.
So
yes,
he
got
presidency
here
in
laredo,
so
we're
gonna
be
stationed
here
until
he
opens
his
private
yes,
so
he
is
very
based
here
in
laredo.
So
am
I
I
was
not
born
here.
I
was
born
and
raised
in
mexico
and
at
12
years
old
we
moved
to
laredo
with
no
one
here,
just
my
mom,
my
dad
and
my
siblings.
M
M
And
I
was
already
part
of
the
transit
committee,
the
paratransit
committee,
and
I
did
that
for
a
year
and
a
half,
but
I
got
pregnant.
So
I
had
to.
M
After
one
year
and
a
half,
so
they
said
no,
that's,
okay!
You
can
come
back
at
any
time,
but
I
felt
that
I
wanted
to
be
part
of
something
that
I
had
a
vision
to
be
a
part
into,
and
the
radio
commission
for
women
is
something
that
I'm
looking
forward
to.
I
know
that
some
of
you
are
educators.
I
am
an
educator,
I'm
going
to
complete
my
15
year
of
teaching
math
middle
school
math
at
los
angeles
middle
school
this
coming
year,
so
I'll
be
for
15
years.
I've
been
teaching
for
quite
a
while.
M
I
have
two
little
girls.
One
is
three
and
the
other
one
is
seven
months
and
there
are
a
handful.
M
E
E
D
M
E
M
No,
but
I
said
you
know
what
I
do
I
I
envision
myself
doing
something
like
that
in
you
know.
Maybe
10
could
be
a
year
from
today,
not
right
now,
of
course,
because
my
focus
is
on
my
little
ones,
but
I
do
want
to
set
my
foot
into.
M
N
Thank
you
all
right,
hello.
My
name
is
maribel
garcia
and
I
was
first
appointed
by
charlie,
sammy
and
then
dr
mate.
So
it's
been
very
interesting
and
what
I
do
I
do
a
little
bit
of
everything.
There
really
was
no
coding
for
me.
It
was.
I
was
overwhelmed
with
work
and
still
and
I'll,
be
here
temporarily,
while
the
doctor
gets
another
appointee.
N
I
feel
that
I
need
something
well
because
of
what
I
do
businesses.
I
do
deal
with
a
lot
of
businesses
here
in
laredo.
I
help
them.
I
do
their
licensing
pabc
to
get
their
texas,
alcohol
and
beverage
license.
City
permits,
anything
that
has
to
do
with
starting
their
business
and
not
only
that
well
after
they
get
everything,
I
do
their
books
taxes
and
get
them
ready
for
income
tax
season.
So
right
now
it's
just.
E
N
Do
a
certificate
of
filing
on
register
with
the
irs
with
the
secretary
of
state
and
I
do
see
the
needs
or
what
businesses
go
through.
So
that's
practically.
What
I
do,
which
is
a
lot,
and
I
have
two
daughters,
a
33
year
old,
she's
going
to
be
34
and
the
youngest
one
is
going
to
be
23
and
I'm
still
not
our.
C
G
I
am
clueless
to
what
is
the
committee
so
everyone's
like
you're
gonna
love,
it
he's
like
you.
I
do
have
my
bachelor's
in
social
work.
So
at
that
time
I
did
work
with
cps,
so
I
did
get
to
see
and
work
with
the
community.
But
at
the
time
I
was
expecting
my
second
child,
so
I
did
have.
I
did
go
into
teaching
so
that
kind
of
brought
me
back
into
to
home.
To
my
house.
I've
been
I'm
starting
my
18th
year
but
teaching.
H
G
Have
one
you
know
in
what
college
or
what
you
know
at
school?
Do
you
want
and
and
I'm
very
excited
and
I'm
very
excited
to
be
able
to
go
back
into
the
community
for
23
years?
Well,
I've
been
married
for
23
years
and
it's
just
been
I've
dedicated
to
my
kids
and
practices
and
homework
and
just
you
know,
working
home
and
that's
it
so
getting
back.
You
know
and
giving
back
to
the
community,
and
I'm
really
looking
forward
to
that.
H
I'm
born
here
I
was
born
in
mexican,
but
raised
in
loredo,
since
I
was
like
six
years
old
thinking.
I
was
in
the
navy
for
six
years
when
I
came
back,
they
murdered
my
twin
brother,
so
I
became
a
teacher.
That's
why
I
became
a
teacher
was
to
stop
the
cycles
that
happen
as
poor
kids
in
laredo.
You
don't
even
realize
it
and
the
stuff
that
I
went
through
in
the
military
like
as
a
female
in
the
military.
H
You
see
it
and
then
coming
back
to
laredo
and
seeing
that
the
bathroom
system
still
exists,
it
still
exists.
H
So
I'm
just
excited
like
I
saw
amber
and
priscilla
like
running
and
stuff
doing
amazing
things
for
dorito,
I'm
just
like
all
over
the
place,
doing
everything
and
it's
it's
just
inspiring.
You
know
like
to
come
from
a
place
where
you
think,
like
you
just
have
to
handle
the
grunt
work,
just
the
grunt
work
and
day
in
day
out
just
handle
the
ground
work
and
that's
all
you're
used
to.
When
I
got
with
the
no
border
wall
coalition,
they
opened
my
eyes
to
what
is
really
possible
and
what
we
should
be
doing.
O
O
O
I
hate
long-term,
I'm
also
in
property
management,
and
I
recently
just
started
ambitious
arrivals,
which
is
we're
getting
into
the
hot
shots
and
logistics
too,
and
I
just
started
the
movino
investment
group
with
my
best
friend,
so
I'm
all
about
business,
empowering
women
and
educating
our
youth
in
our
community
about
financial
everything,
financial,
because
we
have
a
very
high
poverty
rate,
a
very
low
income
and
the
only
way
we
can
work
together
is
by
building
our
people
up.
And
so
that's
what
I'm
most
passionate
about,
and
I
love
sitting
on
the
commission.
P
But
I've
been
an
educator
all
my
life,
it
seems
I
love
teaching.
I
was
at
the
high
school
for
39
years
at
the
high
school
always
in
the
classroom,
and
I
love
that
I
had
to
retire
because
my
husband
was
very
sick
with
cancer.
I
went
with
him
to
the
hospital
in
san
antonio
and
when
he
passed,
I
didn't
have
the
fortitude
to
you
know
to
face
teenagers,
so
I
I
retired
then,
but
two
years
later
I
said
what
am
I
doing
here.
P
E
P
Gre
and
and
did
all
my
course
work
past
everything
and
past
my
oral,
my
written
and
I
was
about
to
my
thesis
and
then
my
hip
gave
out.
Also
I
turned
70.
P
E
P
I
love
the
classroom
and
I
would
do
a
lot
of
poetry
with
them
since
74
I
did.
I
still
do
since
74,
I
started
poetry.
Your
grandmother
asked
me
so
much.
I
did
a
poetry,
oral
and
written
and
my
my
students
books
came
out
in
macmillan
in
kentucky.
I
would
do
it
as
a
teacher
and
then
all
of
a
sudden
I
hear
last
year,
you've
been
elected.
The
poet.
P
I'm
a
teacher
more
than
a
boy,
but
I
love
to
write.
I
love
so
I'm.
I
have
the
distinction
of
being
a
void
lawyer
and
you
know
I
can't
be
accepted
because
there's
a
lot
of
very
good
points,
but
I
do
I
do
love
to
write
them
and
I
and
I
I
love
being
here
and
always
my
my
I
I
taught
at
martin
high
for
15
years
and
let's
see
that
for
24,
and
I
would
always
ask
god.
P
D
P
P
E
N
G
B
Thank
you,
but
she's
raising
a
point
too.
That's
again
when
we
talk
about
the
the
needs
of
the
community
like
ours
years
ago,
I
was,
I
dated
a
princeton
graduate
and
it
was
his
mission
to
recruit,
recruit,
recruit
for
princeton,
and
there
was
a
year
the
average
the
average
success
rate
of
any
community
who
was
trying
to
get
young
people
young
students
into
princeton.
I
remember,
was
about
17.
B
D
B
B
Don't
do
the
math,
because
it'll
tell
you
how
old
I
am.
I
was
the
very,
very
first
senior
english
teacher
for
united
isd
when
united
had
one
high
school,
the
swiss
cheese
school
that
was
built
as
an
underground
bomb
shelter
for
those
of
you,
young
ones,
who
don't
know
that
it
was
the
60s
russia
had
just
thrown
sputnik
into
the
air,
and
we
were
terrified
of
atomic
bombs.
United
high
school
was
built
as
an
underground
bomb
shelter.
B
B
E
B
Defined
me
teaching
defined
me
I
went
on
to
I
went
on
to
do
some
university
work,
college
work,
retired
after
40
years
of
public
education,
and
then
I
did
non-profit
work
with
the
imaginarium
with
the
children's
advocacy
center.
B
I've
had
a
wonderful
wonderful
career,
but
but
this
became
and
we're
going
to
talk
more
about
this
later
you're
going
to
have
homework
today,
so
that
between
now
and
when
we
meet
again
in
july,
you
will
have
not
only
looked
at
the
action
plan
and
we're
going
to
talk
about
that
in
a
minute.
But
that's
that's
been.
My
focus
for
many
years
now
has
been
get
out
the
votes,
because
we
should
have
a
conversation
about
that,
sometimes
about
the
about
the
status
of
laredo.
When
it
comes.
B
B
About
that
later,
okay,
right,
so
that's
why
I'm
educated
for
many
years
non-profits
for
many
for
a
number
of
years,
10
12
13
years
and
a
community
advocate.
I
I
love
everything
that
everything
that
I
do
for
pretty
much
is
influenced
by
my
children.
I
will
tell
you
I
got
involved,
I'm
now
the
democratic
party
chair,
something
I
would
never
ever
ever
do,
but
I
did
that
quite
frankly
for
one
primary
reason
when
sandy
hook
happened.
Ladies
thank
you
hope
tore
me
apart.
I
still
can't
think
about
it.
B
We
talk
about
grandchildren,
marie
my
grandchildren
go
to
some
of
the
best
public
schools
in
laredo
and
when
you
walk
into
any
of
our
public
schools
right
now,
you're
going
to
see
you're
going
to
see
a
poster
bigger
than
that
one
by
the
reception
it's
telling
children
and
folks
in
the
room,
what
to
do
if
there's
an
active
shooter
in
the
halls,
an
active
shooter-
and
I
think
that
is
criminal-
that
we've
allowed
that
to
happen.
A
B
Okay,
thank
you,
and
you
actually
reminded
us
because,
quite
frankly,
every
time
I
opened
the
meetings
prior
to
this
one.
I
would
always
begin
by
reminding
us
of
what
is
the
purpose
of
the
commission
to
promote
equality
and
legal,
social,
political,
economic,
health
care
and
educational
opportunity
and
advancement
for
all
women
throughout
the
city
of
moraine.
Okay,
all
right.
Let's
move
on
to
the
next
item
on
the
agenda
folks,
and
that
is
that
is
the
discussion
and
possible
action
of
a
nominating
committee.
B
Acting
as
our
secretary
we've
lost
our
secretary
a
while
back
and
then
of
course,
we
went
out
of
commission
and
so
she's
still
acting
as
secretary.
We
need
a
nominating
committee
to
and
I'd
like
I'd
like
to
have
right.
Now
we
have,
we
have
rosa
maria.
We
had
rosa
maria.
E
B
H
B
E
B
B
In
ten
minutes,
yeah
the
roving
meaning
that
we
would
have
like
pass
the
baton
every
other,
either
every
month
or
every
other
month,
so
that
the
task
wouldn't
be
so
cumbersome
on
one
person
in
particular.
C
C
A
Clarify
something
because
again
I
just
brought
you
the
minutes.
I
mean
the.
This
is
only
gonna
be
until
august,
because
in
september
we
elect
the
new
board
okay,
so
it's
gonna
be
july
from
august
and
and
basically,
according
to
the
bylaws,
the
board,
the
the
board
runs
from.
A
It
is
on
the
on
the
page
that
I
gave
you
on
the
bylaws
that
I
gave
you
this
commission
officers
from
october,
the
first
okay
so
october.
The
first
is
september,
the
30th
okay.
So
whoever
is
it's
on
article
five
commission
officers,
so
so,
basically,
so
this
board
right
now
expires
on
september,
the
30th,
so
whoever
is
nominated
and
elected
to
be
the
secretary
is
going
to
be
just
for
a
short
term,
just
three
months,
you're
still
in
the
vegas,
okay,
okay,.
B
B
B
The
next
item
on
the
agenda,
ladies,
is
agenda,
item
number
eight
and
it's
the
action
plan.
When
you
take
a
when
you
find
it,
I
know
it's
in
europe.
It's
in
your.
B
B
Okay,
let
me
give
you
a
little
recap
for
those
of
you
who
are
new
and
for
those
of
us
who
have
been
thought
for
a
little
while
no
matter
forgotten,
we
actually
had
to
begin
with
some
history.
B
B
We
inaugurated
her
campaign
with
a
very,
very
largely
attended
luncheon.
It
was
hosted
by
ivc
and
it
was
basically
non-partisan,
get
out
the
vote,
and
so
we
were
ready
to
go.
This
was
january.
We
had
started
to
do.
We
had
actually
started
to
do
some
voter
registrations
and
then
kobe
hit
and
we
basically
went
underground
and
so
it
stopped.
But
it
is
something
that
I'm
going
to
urge
you
before
we
come
back
again
in
july.
B
I
don't
remember
now
I
would
walk
by
majority
or
we
agree
by
consensus.
I
don't
know
if
that's
in
the
rules,
but
but
when
we
come
back
in
july,
we're
going
to
have
a
discussion.
This
will
probably
be
at
the
top
of
the
agenda
for
us
because
it's
by
september
that
we
need
to
be
ready
to
present
for
the
new
year,
but
I
would
urge
you
to
study
the
data
folks.
B
Ladies
laredo
web
county,
south
texas,
as
perennially
generationally
year
after
year,
has
been
very
low
in
the
vote
and
and
it's
something
that,
if
we're
concerned
about
what
is
good
for
this
community
and
what
is
good
decided
by
the
legislative
body,
then
we
need
to
do
something,
but
we're
going
to
leave
it
up
to
this
commission
to
decide
whether
that's
a
priority.
That
was
one
one
of
our
one
of
our
items.
Yes,.
B
Pay
attention
to
us:
why
should
they
absolutely
we're?
Not
if
we're
not
interested?
Why
should
they
be
that
you
know
one
of
the
things
that
I
want
to
do?
Ladies,
I
don't
have
all
your
emails
yet
because
we're
a
brand
new
group
I'm
going
to
send
you
a
study
that
I've
worked
with
for
years.
That
was
done
years
ago
by
it
was
started
by
by
a
state
legislature
by
the
name
of
elliot
shapley.
B
B
F
B
I'm
going
to
send
that
to
you,
so
you
can
study
it
all
right.
The
other
item
on
the
academia
action
plan
that
we
did
very
very,
very
well
with
and
and
esther
ira
was
the
chair
of
that
committee,
and
that
was
the
women's
hall
of
fame.
B
It
used
to
be
that
we
had
a
hall
of
fame
every
year
and
then
several
years
back,
the
city
council
decided
it
would
be
every
other
year.
So
we
had
ours
in
2020.
B
B
A
A
The
nominating
process
was
very
cumbersome
and
it
was
that
we
were
getting
very
different
packets
look
differently.
They
focus
on
different
things,
so
there
was.
There
was
a
consensus
that
the
nomination
form
itself
needed
to
be
more
condensed
and
much
more
precise.
Okay.
A
So
if
you
look
at
both
of
them,
they're
they're
they're,
both
nomination
forms
what
you,
what
the
committee
has
to
decide
is
which
one
is
going
to
be
more
user
friendly,
okay
and
be
more
concise
and
easier
to
understand
by
those
people
nominating
candidates,
because
it
was
very
challenging
last
year,
for
example,
if
you
notice
one
says
draft
two
and
the
other
one
says
draft
one:
okay,
you
notice
on
draft
one
it
it
basically
that
it
says
this
is
not
only
one.
Each
candidate
may
be
nominated
for
only
one
position,
because
last
year
we.
A
A
Don't
read
this
first
before
you
start
filling
out:
okay,
so,
and
then
it
tells
you
how
it's
going
to
be
rated,
because
I
think
that
was
extremely
critical
too,
so
it
both
of
our
nomination
forms
and
then
on
draft
two.
This
is
the
nomination
form.
The
first
two
pages
are
just
the
instructions
and
the
criteria.
A
This
draft
one
starts
with
a
nomination
form
and
as
with
anything,
they
start
filling
out
the
form
and
they
don't
read
the
instructions.
Okay,
so
that's
why
the
homework
is
kind
of,
especially
with
the
returning
numbers.
You
have
to
get
the
experience
with
the
new
members
you're
the
fresh
eyes.
Okay,
if
you
were
to
be
nominating
someone
for
this
coveted
award,
because
trust
me
it
is
a
coveted
award
which
is
more
succinct
and
clear
for
you,
for
you
have
the
expectations,
because
some
of
you
are
going
to
be
sitting
on
the
selection
committee
and
omg.
A
B
At
it
look
at
both
of
them
through
critical
eyes,
and
when
I
say
critical,
I
don't
mean
that
you're
out
the
back.
I
mean
that
you're
out
to
improve
if
there
is
anything
here.
First
of
all
that
you
don't
understand
or
if
you
think
that
it
could
be
improved.
So
this
is
part
of
the
homework
get
out
your
red
pen,
we're
going.
B
On
the
agenda
that
I
can
think
of
automatically
right
now,
one
of
them
is
to
begin
to
do
some
brainstorming
and
I
say,
brainstorming
because
we
don't
have
to
absolutely
decide
in
july.
But
we
need
to
begin
to
pave
the
way.
One
of
them
will
be
for
the
action
plan.
We're
going
to
come
in
here
and
we're
going
to
put
things
on
the
table
that
you
think
are
critically
important
to
the
women
of
this
community
and
ultimately
by
by
association
to
the
families
of
these
women
to
the
colleagues
of
these
women.
B
A
B
I'm
sorry,
okay,
I
love
you.
You
know
that
I
don't
know
wonderfully
helpful
to
me,
but
I
had
already
asked
amber
because
in
the
action
plan
and
the
workings
of
the
ag
as
it
was
unfolding
last
year,
there
were
other
events
that
were
already
being
planned
and
again
we
kind
of
got
caught
short.
So
ambra
was
very
much
the
driver
behind
this
and
I
had
asked
her
if
she
would
brief
us
on
what
that
what
was
happening
with
us.
O
Yes,
last
year,
the
business
etiquette
turned
into
a
women's
empowerment
event
and
it
ended
up
getting
kind
of
like
football
tossed
and
it
was
supposed
to
be
rescheduled
and
then
the
pandemic
happened,
but
I
think
it
would
be
a
good
idea.
I
feel,
like
business
etiquette
just
sounds
so
dated
and
what
comes
to
mind
with
empowering
our
community
is
when
the
pandemic
happened.
O
Women
were
the
highest
that
lost
their
job
like
the
highest,
more
women
lost
their
job
than
than
men,
and
I
think
that
it
would
be
wise
to
maybe
just
change
the
name
of
it.
Maybe
like
empowered
women
in
power
to
empower
women
and
that
way
we
can
mold
it
and
do
different
things
with
it.
And
maybe
you
know,
teach
women
how
to
work
on
their
resumes
or
ask
for.
O
Get
ready
for
an
interview,
something
like
that,
and
it
doesn't
necessarily
have
to
be
back
to
school,
but
gentry
at
the
time
had
offered
to
provide
free
childcare
with
the
st
on
girls,
and
I
think
that's
something
that
we
can
definitely
do
and
plan
for
maybe
in
the
fall
would
be
a
good
time.
If
they're
looking
at
the
outfit
shop.
E
I
I
think
that'd
be
an
amazing
event,
but
I'd
like
the
commission
to
consider-
and
not
just
for
that
event,
but
an
entire
campaign
for
for
us
in
educating
women
on
financial
management.
I
Women
into
homes
as
a
single
parent,
three
children,
I
never
thought
I
would
be
able
to
purchase
my
own
home,
and
I
just
did.
I
think
we
had
the
expertise
on
this
table
to
educate
women
and
how
they
can
do
that.
I
think,
because
of
our
culture,
a
lot
of
women
believe
that
they
have
to
be
with
someone
to
be
able
to
do
that,
and
we
don't.
I
mean
it's
great
if
we
do.
I
It
really
I
mean
I've
seen
my
children
just
flourish,
just
if
they
see
life
in
a
whole
new
perspective,
and
they
see
me
a
whole
lot
different
and
I
think
that
if
we
can
educate
more
women
in
our
community
and
help
them,
you
know
attain
that.
You
know
some.
B
I
Right
and
so
yeah,
I
think,
a
lot
of
times
women.
We
just
need
somebody
to
hold
our
hand
and
just
guide
us,
and
it
just
helps
when
it's
another
woman
doing
it,
I
mean
I'm
super
involved,
I'm
educated,
but
still
I
never
thought
that
I'd
be
able
to
do
it
on
our
on
my
own,
and
I
had
amazing
women
in
my
life
that
came
to
me
and
told
and
showed
me
the
way
and
and
so
all
the
agencies.
Yes,
I
mean
especially
now
with
all
these
stimulus
coming
in
the
income
tax.
G
E
B
D
You
know
also
about
the
credit,
because
a
lot
of
the
let's
say
the
seniors
or
the
girls,
all
the
girls,
because
we're
talking
about
women
that
are
in
college
or
at
the
university,
they
don't
even
know
how
to
start
credit
on
their
own,
how
to
apply
for
a
little
loan
of
at
the
store
that
gives
them
200.
D
I
G
I
B
I
know
that
there
was
another.
We
had
an
international
women's
day
that
had
been
part
of
it,
but
again
what
basically
happened.
Kobe
just
completely
threw
a.
B
There
were
several
major
major
achievements
that
I
think
we're
able
to
to
take
credit
for,
but
we're
going
to
start
from
scratch.
When
we
come
back
planning
for
the
new
year.
There
was
a
question
that
I
wanted
to
make
sure
that
we
all
understood.
I
know
that
you
were
saying
I
think
I
heard
you
say
that
as
far
as
attendance,
when
does
our
year
begin.
A
B
Zero
so
and
the
but
the
rule
is
four
absences,
would
would
basically
remove
us
from
the
commission.
H
A
Right,
okay,
so
be
be
very
familiar
with
that
ordinance
because
it
drives
everything
that
we
do
it.
It
drives
the
the
the
women
of
the
whole
thing:
okay,
they
they
restrict
us
to
the
categories
that
we're
supposed
to
have,
and
they
even
did
the
the
rubrics
for
the
how
it's
going
to
be
rated,
so
that
is
legal.
That
is,
that
is
according
to
the
ordinance.
So
when
you
keep
keep
that
in
mind
as
you're
reviewing
the
application,
because
that
ordinance
is
what
drives
this
commission.
D
So
so
yeah,
so
on
the
encounter
woman,
getting
the
credits
and
all
that
which
I
think
is
a
wonderful
idea,
then
we
aim
for
october
yeah.
Then
we
get
there.
A
J
A
A
B
A
B
B
Let's
do
some
serious
thinking
and
studying
so
that
by
the
time
we
come
back
in
july,
we're
ready
to
do
some
serious
brainstorming
and
hopefully,
ideally
resolve
it
and
and
decide
in
a
group.
So
we
can
be
ready
to
to
show
them
a
new
plan,
but
in
the
meantime,
we're
working
on
october
for
the
women's.
