Description
Laredo Youth Council Mtg 092921
A
Today
is
september,
29th
2021,
it
is
6.05
meeting
was
supposed
to
start
at
six,
so
we're
right
on
time.
Everybody
could
please
rise
for
the
pledge
pledging
legion.
A
Perfect
will
we
be
moving
on
with
item
number
five?
Okay?
Oh
yes,
are
there
there's
no
public
comments,
no
perfect.
Okay,
so
we'll
be
moving
on
with
item
number
five,
the
updated
presentation
from
the
bylaws
subcommittee
on
their
proposed
bylaws
for
the
larito
youth
council
and
any
other
matters
incident
thereof.
So
if
the
subcommittee
could
please
stand
up,
thank
you.
D
E
E
Can
you
all
turn
to
article
2
composition
and
eligibility?
Please.
E
E
E
The
section
1.3
responsibilities,
the
loreto
youth
council
members-
are
expected
to
do
the
following
answer:
all
polls
on
time
to
when
our
laredo
youth
council
meeting
shall
be
held
and
what
time
attend
monthly,
laredo
youth
council
meetings,
internship
each
participant
will
have
an
opportunity
to
do
a
voluntary
internship
with
a
city
department
participate
in
a
minimum
of
six
cities.
Six
cities
sponsored
volunteer
events.
E
B
Can
I
just
make
your
comment
on
those,
so
karen
those
are
the
responsibilities
of
you
as
a
youth
council
member
they're
important,
because
if
you
don't,
if
you
you
know,
aren't
able
to
stick
to
them,
you
can
use
your
your
your
membership
to
it,
especially
important
as,
but
is
the
monthly
meetings.
I
know
a
lot
of
you
have
very
you
know
crazy
schedules
with
school
college
sports
every.
You
know
family
everything.
B
I
know
we
can
accommodate
everyone
at
each
meeting,
but
it's
part
of
a
city
ordinance
not
just
through
this
committee
itself,
that
any
committee
member
who
misses.
I
believe
it's
three
once
in
this
three
meetings
are
automatically
removed
from
the
committee.
B
So
keep
that
in
mind
the
other
things,
for
example
the
internship,
that's
voluntary,
the
sick
city
sponsored
volunteer
events.
I
think
that's
important
because
you
know
you
are
the
youth
representing
the
city
through
you
know:
you're
the
only
the
city
does
not
have
many.
You
know
we
don't
have
any
employees
your
age.
B
You
are
those
representatives,
those
leaders
in
the
community,
and
we
have
many
many
volunteer
opportunities,
one
that
we'll
talk
about
today,
that
you
can
volunteer
at
whether
as
a
group
or
if
you
see
a
post-it
and
you
see
it
and
you
want
to
attend,
you
can
attend
on
your
own
and
the
and
then
the
observational
meetings.
So
we
have
six.
It
says
that
katie
said
six
city
council
meetings
throughout
the
year
for
at
least
an
hour.
I
know
some
of
you
have
been
coming.
B
We
have
two
meetings
a
month,
the
first
and
third
monday
of
every
of
every
month,
as
well
as
special
meetings
or
emergency
meetings.
So
those
who
will
count
as
well
and
all
we
ask
is
that
you
come
an
hour.
I
suggest
after
6
30,
which
is
a
lot
more
like
operational,
but
you
know
after
637
they
start
getting
ready
into
details
one.
So
you
can
see
how
meeting
is
held.
B
You
get
to
hear
about
policy
issues
and
you
get
to
kind
of
learn
and
interact
and
might
also
give
you
an
idea
as
to
something
that
you
want
to
do,
and
then
the
mentorship
program,
that's
something
that
we
can
suggest
as
well.
So
if
you
approve
it
today,
we'll
work
to
set
that
up
to
kind
of
get
you
partnered
with
someone
a
city
employee
that
maybe
can
help
guide
you
in
your
last
year
to
a
college
could
help
with
a
reference
letter,
as
as
you
apply
for
jobs
or
universities
or.
B
You
some
input
on
a
career
choice
that
you're
looking
for
and
that's
optional,
but
I
just
really
wanted
you
to
everyone
to
be
aware
of
those
responsibilities
because
you
know,
while
we
love
having
you
here,
it
does
come
with
responsibilities
that
you
need
to
adhere
to.
So
I
just
wanted
everyone
to
be
clear.
E
No,
we
for
article
5,
we
did
delete,
we
did
delete
something.
E
I
think.
Oh
there
you
go
and
then
for
the
officer
duties
I
did.
I
did
put
an
edit
to
council
chair.
Instead,
I
added
the.
It
is
a
non-voting
member.
Unless
there
is
a
tie,
so
I
did
put
that
I
did
it.
Do
you
have
any
questions
for
them.
E
I
did
I
did
have
a
question
from
over
here
the
the
last
the
last
video
that
we
had.
I
did
edit
the
proposals-
oh
yeah
yeah,
it's
going
to
be
if
any
proposals
are
made
by
the
oic
that
will
be,
they
will
be
presented
to
the
loredo
city
council
at
the
city
council.
Second,
meeting
of
the
month
that
that
was,
there
was
a
question
over
here.
A
D
A
All
right,
if
all
my
favorites,
I'm
sorry,
yes,
if
all
in
favor,
say
aye,
any
opposed
motion
is
passed.
So
then
thank
you.
Thank
you.
B
A
comment
on
them
now
that
they're
approved,
and
so
it
was
also
in
the
agenda.
We
need
to
take
them
to
city
council
for
that
final
approval
as
your
bylaws,
this
will
be
the
first
meeting
of
the
month.
So
I'll
work
with
the
committee
members
to
have
this
as
part
of
the
city
council
agenda
for
the
second
meeting
of
the
month,
doesn't
necessarily
mean
you're
gonna.
B
You
know
they
might
call
you
up
to
ask
me
questions,
but
we'll
share
this
with
them
beforehand,
and
if
they
have
any
questions
you
all
and
I
will
be
there
to
help
answer.
B
D
Nice,
my
school
on
the
burning
bike.
They
did
a
video,
a
video
of
what
I
think
it
was
I'm
not
I
don't
remember
very
well,
but
it
was
a
video
saying
like
why
you
should
not
commit
suicide.
B
Cool,
okay
and
I
know,
through
the
health
department,
they
were
very
excited
to
receive
videos
from
you
offer
that
idea
that
they
presented
to
you
last
time.
But
I
didn't
get
any
videos.
Were
you
all
still
interested
in
sending
those
videos.
B
What
were
the
videos
for
you?
They
were
the
little
clips
of
why
you,
you
know
why
you
wouldn't.
Why
would
you
yeah
talk
to
me
after
if
you
want
to
still
submit
something,
so
we
can
reach
out
to
the
health
department,
but
we
just
wanted
to
see
if
you
all
were
able
to
move
forward
with
anything
at
your
schools,
so
that.
A
A
All
right,
so
moving
on
to
item
number
seven,
the
discussion
with
possible
action
to
invite
the
loredo
city
youth
council
to
volunteer
at
the
run
at
the
runway,
the
5k
run.
B
Yeah,
okay,
before
just
a
quick
comment
for
the
record:
casio
solis
got
here
at
about
6
16
p.m.
For
the
meeting,
so
you
can
mark
your
mia.
So,
as
part
of
you
know,
we
just
went
through
the
bylaws.
There
are
events
that
the
city
does
and
that
we
would
like
for
you
all
to
volunteer
at.
We
do
have
one
coming
up,
which
is
the
first
time
that
we
do
it
through
the
parks
and
rec
department
and
it's
a
5k
run
at
the
signature
airport,
which
is
laredo's
old
airport.
B
B
Is
this
something
you
all
would
you
know
would
like
to
you
know?
One
of
you
maybe
could
do
a
motion
to
volunteer
as
the
loreno
youth
council.
So
a
group
of
you,
I
would
you
know,
I
think
it
would
be
good
for
a
group
of
you
all
to
go
or
if
you're
interested
in
volunteering
on
your
own,
that
could
count
as
well
and
you
will
get
community
service
hours.
For
that
event,.
A
Okay,
I
don't
know
how
many
of
you
guys
would
be
able
to
attend.
Okay,
perfect.
So
a
motion
for
the
lord
of
city,
youth
council
to
volunteer
on
saturday
october
9th
for.
B
A
45K
runway
can
I
get
a
second
yeah.
Okay,
all
in
favor,
say
aye
aye
opposed
motion
is
passed.
B
Saturday,
october,
9th
I'll
send
you
all
an
an
email
actually
and
just
confirm
if
you'll
be
volunteering,
I
do
need
that
by
tomorrow,
so
they
can
know
where
to
place
you
and
I'll.
Let
you
know,
hey
you'll,
be
you
know,
giving
out
water
or
registering
people
or
just
cheering
people
on
whatever
it
is
just
so
they
can
have
a
head
count,
and
that
will
be
something
where
you
all
can
wear
your
blue
shirts
at,
and
you
know.
B
Will
last
like
I
don't
expect
if
the
race
starts
at
8
a.m,
I
would
say
by
like
10
30
11.
yeah.
I
shouldn't
be
that
name
perfect.
A
Yeah,
so
the
last
item
is
item
number
eight.
If
we
have
any
other
business
that
we
need
to
discuss.
