Description
Laredo Youth Council Meeting 082521
B
Good
afternoon,
everyone
it's
approximately
604
pm
today
is
wednesday.
Help
me
out
here
august
25th
2021.
If
we
want
to
start
with
roko,
oh
the
pledge
of
allegiance,
I'm
sorry,
yes,
the
pledge
of
allegiance.
A
C
Then
your
secretary
mia
can
do
roll
call.
Please.
B
B
Right
so
next
would
be
the
presentation
from
the
bylaws
from
the
subcommittee
so.
C
A
C
We're
going
to
bring
item
7
up.
The
item
is
discussion
possible
action
on
assisting
the
city
of
laredo
suicide
prevention
committee
during
the
month
of
september
for
national
suicide
prevention
month.
So
we
have
from
the
health
department
here
miss
erica
lopez
and
she
so
the
the
city
has
just
like.
You
are.
C
A
city
part
of
what
they
have
found
nationally
and
also
shows
here
locally,
is
that
the
suicide
rates
are
high,
especially
among
young
women
like
teenagers,
which
is
kind
of
like
this
demographic
right.
So
we
thought
who
better
to
see
what
kind
of
messaging
we
can
do,
not
just
as
a
youth
council,
but
how
we
can
work
with
you
all
through
your
schools
and
any
clubs
that
you're
in
to
to
do
some
programming
for
this
in
the
coming
months.
So
do
you
want
to
go.
C
F
As
part
of
the
committee.
We
know
that
you
guys
are
the
ones
that
are
going
to
make
a
difference.
We
know
it's
going
to
be
social
media,
it's
going
to
be
becoming
relatable
on
one-on-one
basis.
I
have
a
background
of
history
of
five
years
of
our
local
mental
health
authority
prior
to
the
health
department.
So
I've
had
a
wide
range
of
experience
with
suicidal
clients,
clients
who
are
depressed,
delusional,
psychotic,
a
little
bit
of
everything
and
talking
about
it,
doesn't
open
the
door
for
people
to
do
it.
F
Contrary
to
believe,
if
you
ask
somebody
if
they're
suicidal
it
doesn't
make
them
want
to
suicide,
so
I'm
pretty
sure
you
guys
are
familiar
with
the
show
13
reasons
why
on
netflix
right,
yes,
very
controversial,
three
seasons,
so
I
found
some
research
done
from
the
university
of
michigan
and
they
did
a
play
on
it.
It's
called
13
reasons
why
not
so,
as
opposed
to
in
the
netflix
series.
F
F
Different
individuals
and
they
will
provide
a
story
on
why
they
did
not
suicide
a
reason
it
could
be
I've
seen
it
all.
It
could
be.
I
didn't
suicide
because
of
my
cat.
I
didn't
suicide
because
of
my
mom
adding
suicide,
because
my
parents
deserve
to
see
me
graduate
from
high
school,
so
there's
so
many
different
reasons
on
why
they
decide
on
where
people
decide
to
leave.
Unfortunately,
we
focus
on
those
reasons
on
why
people
decide
not
to
so.
F
F
Find
one
reason
why
they
kept
living:
they
did
this
for
13
days
after
this
they
would
go
ahead
and
post
it
on
social
media,
so
it
wouldn't
just
attract
individuals
from
that
specific
school,
perhaps
a
certain
cause
or
trigger
for
them
to
keep
living
affect
somebody
from
a
completely
different
school.
That
was
one
technique
that
they
did.
Another
technique
was
a
13
reasons.
F
Why
not
well
people
would
go
up
to
a
wall,
I'm
pretty
sure
your
schools
have
like
that
wall,
where
they
put
all
of
the
signs
and
the
football
games
and
stuff
like
that,
they
would
put
a
post-it
on
a
reason
on
why
they
kept
living
that
day.
It
doesn't
have
to
be
that
you
had
suicidal
thoughts.
It
can
simply
be
a
reason
why
you're
happy
to
be
living
that
day,
because
you
never
know,
maybe
somebody
just
needs
to
walk
by
and
see
that
and
be
a
reminder
that
hey.
F
That
is
a
good
reason
to
live.
I
should
be
happy
for
that.
Sometimes
we
all
focus
so
much
on
the
negative
that
hey
there's
it's
one
negative
and
we
make
our
whole
world
as
opposed
to
the
positives
of
it.
I
did
some
research
on
it.
There's
even
a
plan.
They
literally
print
out
the
plan
for
you
on
who
needs
to
be
approved.
Who
needs
to
have
authorization,
I
believe,
as
part
of
the
suicide
prevention
committee,
and
with
with
you
guys
involved
as
well
as
opposed
to
focusing
just
to
specific
schools.
F
We
can
just
do
this
technique
on
social
media.
Do
a
short
video,
whether
it
be
13
individuals
holding
up
a
whiteboard
with
the
with
one
word
on
why
they
kept
living
a
reason.
Why
not?
They
did
not
suicide.
So
that's
something
that
we
wanted
to
kick
off
and
present
to
you
guys
to
see.
If
that's
something
that
you
would
be
interested
in,
if
that's
something
that
would
be
appealing
to
you
guys
as
well,
and
it
has
shown
success
in.
F
Them
listing
a
reason
why
they
lived
so
I'm
not
sure
if
you
guys
have
any
questions
for
me.
You
need
me
to
explain
something
a
little
bit
further
on
this
plan.
We
really
want
to
make
it
all
across
social
media
and
get
those
individuals
involved.
That
are
you
guys,
you
guys
are
the
population.
You
guys
are
that
age
group
age
group
that,
unfortunately,
is
taking
cover
the
hardest.
F
That
we
have
at
home
a
lot
of
individuals.
Unfortunately
home
is,
is
a
negative
for
them,
and
school
is
their
outlet.
We
see
a
lot
of
individuals
that
have
family
violence,
who
don't
have
food
at
home
and
school
was
their
outlet.
So
we
want
to
pretty
much
target
every
single
individual
out
there,
especially
that
this
age
category
and
it's
not
just
going
to
be
young
individuals
doing
it.
F
We
can
also
do
other
segments
as
well
with
older
individuals
and
just
everyday
people,
but
right
now
our
main
focus
is
targeting
you
guys
targeting
your
group
getting
the
word
across
you
guys,
sharing
it
as
leaders
of
the
community,
sharing
it
on
your
social
media
platforms
and
getting
the
word
out
there.
Like
I
mentioned.
F
G
F
Could
be
one
of
us,
so
I
don't
know
if
you
have
any
questions
for
me.
Is
this
the
first
year
like
you've
done
this
or
it's
never
been
done?
To
be
honest,
I
proposed
it
maybe
three
years
ago
and
didn't
kick
off.
We
had
done.
F
We
had
initially
thought
about
plan
a
which
was
like
the
post-its,
but
actually
we
liked
the
idea
of
social
media
more
and
I
think
what
was
more
alarming
to
us
was
looking
at
the
rates
and
looking
at
the
demographic
that
it
is
individuals
from
12
to
17
that
have
the
largest,
not
only
laredo
nationwide,
of
suicide
attempts
that
make
it
to
the
er.
F
Well,
for
those
that
don't
have
social
media,
we
can
also
advertise
it
at
school.
Hopefully
the
schools
will
be
okay
with
it.
We
know.
Sometimes,
suicide
is
a
sensitive
topic
for
a
lot
of
of
the
schools,
it's
something
that
they
don't
want
to
touch
on,
but
hopefully
contacting
the
head
of
each
of
the
counseling
departments
or
both
school
districts,
seeing
if
we
can
push
it
out
there.
F
C
I
make
a
comment
on
that.
I
know
that
you
all
a
lot
of
you
have
mentioned
here
either
on
your
school
city
councils
or
in
your
class.
Like
you
know
your
class
of
whatever
at
school.
C
Maybe
that's
something
that
you
can
take
on
like
not
just
going
through
the
counselors,
but
see
that
it's
a
project
that
you
as
a
student
council,
member
or
as
part
of
your
class,
that
you
can
put
up
within
that
space,
because
it's
very
different
coming
from
just
a
city
entity
and
stuff,
but
rather
than
you,
students
actually
putting
it
together
in
your
class.
So
why?
C
I
think-
and
you
can
tell
me
if
I'm
wrong
while
we
would
like
maybe
your
involvement
on
the
social
media
side
and
helping
us
put
together
kind
of
what
you've
done
with
the
covet
stuff.
How
can
you
work
with
us
to
partner
with
your
city
with
your
student
council
with
your
student
organization,
whatever
clubs
you
have
so
that
we
can
make
it
into
your
schools
and
it's
something
that
we
can
help
you
with,
but
your
organization
at
school
needs?
Yes,.
F
F
As
in
like
getting
awareness
spreading
awareness,
obviously
we
want
to
spread
suicide
awareness
year
round,
but
september
is
a
month
where
we
close
it
in
a
lot
and
we
do
focus
on
suicide
and
right
now
the
target
population
is.
Is
you
guys
so
again
any
other
questions.
I
What,
if
it
could
it
be
possible
that,
like
since,
like
we
can
start
this,
like
maybe
like
for
like
middle
schoolers,
because
I
know
like
they
can
like
get
to
learn
that
before
they
enter
high
school?
That
way
like
they
know?
Like?
Oh,
like
I
can't
do
this
when
I'm
like
in
high
school.
I
I
can't
like,
like
the
risk
of
seriously
because,
like
I
know
that
I've
like
had
a
friend
in
middle
school,
who
like
went
through
so
much
and
like
she
had
that
mindset
in
like
the
eighth
grade
and
she
went
into
high
school
and
it
got
worse
and
she
had
to
have
like
so
much
like
counseling
but
like
maybe
we
can
start
it
like
earlier,
not
just
like
for
high
school,
but
like
maybe
for
middle
schoolers
too.
Oh.
F
Definitely-
and
I
would
say
the
population
the
reason
that
we
targeted
pretty
much
you
guys
doing.
The
video
on
the
13
reasons
was
because
sometimes
a
lot
of
middle
schoolers
still
one.
We
would
probably
need
parental
consent
for
them
and
two,
they
don't
understand,
necessarily
the
concept
of
suicide.
F
F
We,
of
course
it's
from
12
to
17.
We
can
get
12
year
olds,
but
I
think
we
wanted
the
message
to
be
a
little
bit
stronger
from
kind
of
like
an
older,
younger
generation,
but
of
course
they
can
be
shown
to
middle
schoolers
and
I
believe,
cats
program
from
board
region.
They
do
offer
services
for
middle
schools
and
elementary
and
they
go
to
the
schools
and
provide
these
services.
But
again,
all
of
that
is
with
parental
consent.
F
So
I
think
that's
why
it's
middle
school's
a
little
bit
more
difficult,
maybe
seventh,
grade
in
eighth
grade
is
yeah
a
little
bit
more
workable
and
again,
if
they
allow
it,
the
parents
allow
it
if
you
guys,
have
siblings
and
they
allow
it
great.
I
mean
that
way.
We
can
show
that
it
it's
a
wide
range
of
ages,
so
if
the
parents
are
allowing
it,
if
you
guys
have
siblings
that
are
going
through,
that'll
be
great.
I
Well,
it's
because,
like
our
school
is
like
very
small,
so
we're
like
very
hands-on
with
the
seventh
and
eighth
graders,
because
they
do
come
to
our
school
to
like
the
high
school,
and
they
do
like.
Experience
like
like
high
school,
like
moments
and.
F
A
F
F
C
Yeah,
if
they
wanted
to
take
this
to
the
school,
I
think
I
know
that
was
the
whole
package
in
there
two
they
would
one
is
the
posted
idea,
which
they
would
basically
just
need
to
put
together
for
their
school
post.
It
and
like
kind
of
maybe
like
a.
J
C
F
Individually
stories,
13
stories
would
be,
is
overall
the
ideal
plan
of
it,
and
I
think
it
will
be
the
most
effective
one.
I
mean
I
know
in
high
school,
it's
a
little
difficult
to
have
people
open
up
and
be
comfortable
enough
saying
their
suicide
stories
or
even
if
they
had
it
just
because
of
the
fear
of
being
mocked
or
just
a
fear
of
I
don't
know
being
stigmatized.
F
So
it
might
be
a
little
bit
difficult
to
find
13
individuals
in
one
school
but
hey.
We
could
do
13
individuals
all
across
the
city
and
do
that
into
a
social
into
a
social
media
platform.
But
if
you
want
to
keep
it
to
the
school,
if
your
school
is
able
to
identify
13
individuals
who
voluntarily
feel
comfortable,
saying
their
story
and
that'll
be
great,
if
not
just
13
individuals,
with
a
reason
on
why
they
live
or
again
like
we
mentioned
the
huge
like
the
bulletin
board
and
everybody
just
listing
different
words.
F
It
really
depends
all
three
are
great
to
get
awareness.
Obviously
our
goal
would
be
the
last
one,
but
we
understand
I
mean
high
school's,
not
easy,
all
the
time
and
people
that
little
stigma
goes
with
you
or
we're
trying
to
take
away
the
stigmatized
suicide
still
not
there,
but
we're
trying
to
have.
A
F
It'll
be
very,
very
difficult
to
be
honest,
there's
a
program
called
the
lost
program
loss
and
pretty
much
it's
all
individuals
who
are
composed
of
survivors
and
by
survivors.
It's
not
individuals
who
survive
suicide,
it's
their
family
members,
so
that
would
also
be
a
great
resource.
It's
loss
program
and
it's
composed
of
mental
health,
individuals,
law
enforcement
and
actual
survivors
people
who
have
lost
someone
to
suicide.
F
D
F
Comfortable
saying
their
stories
now,
so
I
would
say
instead
of
focusing
on,
like
let's
say,
like
a
celebrity
or
would
say,
I
would
say,
try
to
find
local
survivors
and
I
think
that'll
be
a
little
bit
more
impactful
because
you
can
relate
like
that.
Could
have
been
my
dad.
That
could
have
been
my
brother
and,
I
would
say.
I
Comments
concerns,
yes,
do
you
think
it's
possible
like
we
cannot
like
not
just
to
get
only
like
survivors,
but
to
like
also
get
like
family
members
from
those
people
because,
like
it
did
have
an
effect
on
them
and
like
they
can
share
their
side
of
the
story
of
how
it
affected
them
to
like
make
an
impact
to
those
who
aren't.
Maybe
thinking
that
to
see
like
oh,
like.
F
F
To
speak
up
and
say
how
their
family
members
suicide
affected
them.
So
it
would
be
great
honestly
to
have
both
sides
of
the
story,
so
maybe
putting
it
out
there
on
social
media
or
getting
the
word
out
to
see
if
we
can
attract
those
individuals.
Those
both
survivors
survivors
who
did
survive
suicide
and
those
survivors
who
are
living
day
to
day
with
having
lost
somebody
from
suicide.
C
F
F
There
is
a
lot
of
shame,
sometimes,
when
the
individual
suicides
the
family,
takes
on
that
burden
of
what
could
I
have
done
and
a
lot
of
them
have
received
counseling,
so
they
could
even
share
some
of
their
wisdom
and
bringing
light
to
this
and
again
like
the
goal,
is
to
minimize
the
stigma
that
suicide
has
in
the
community,
and
you
see
it
all
all
across.
I
work
my
program
at
the
health
department
works
specifically
with
pregnancy
and
postpartum.
F
The
postpartum
suicide
rates
are
going
up
extremely
and
nobody
talks
about
it.
I
also
help
out
with
the
diabetes
program.
There
is
a
lot
of
diabetes
diabetics
that
attempt
suicide
by
injecting
insulin.
F
So,
although
it's
not
the
always
typical
gunshot
wound
hanging
themselves
pills,
there
are
so
many
other
ways
that
people
can
do
it
and
we
need
to
remove
that
stigma
because
suicide
can
affect
everybody.
New
moms
that
are
should
be
in
the
joy
of
having
a
baby.
It
affects
them,
teenagers,
teenagers
that
are
pregnant
and
don't
know
how
to
cope
with
it,
people
who
have
lost
somebody
to
grieve,
so
it
attracts
every
single
single
different
category
that
you
can
imagine
so
yeah.
F
The
stories
would
be
great
to
get
individuals
who
have
survived
it
themselves,
individuals
who
have
lost
somebody
themselves
as
well,
because
it
is
something
that
they
live
with
on
the
day-to-day
basis
with
it
and
they
don't
need
to.
They
don't
know
how
to
cope
with
it
sometimes,
and
this
resources
are
very
limited.
F
They
can
start
their
own
support
group
if
needed,
and
but
you
need
to
acknowledge
those
individuals
and
you
need
to
pretty
much
do
like
a
little
white
flag
and
call
them
out
to
to
get
united
and
even
at
your
schools,
if
you
want
to
slowly
destigmatize
suicide
instead
of
saying
at
least
that's
how
I
say
it
from
my
history,
it's
instead
of
saying
this
person.
F
C
Before
she
finishes
a
presentation,
I
guess
he
would
like
two
things
from
you
all
one.
If
you
can,
let
us
know
you
would
be
ready
to
take
part
in
that
social
media
campaign
being
part
of
the
video
to
kind
of
get
that
messaging
out
so
that
help
the
health
department
can
reach
out
to
you
guys
to
be
in
that
video.
G
F
G
G
I
And
then
maybe
like
this
paper
that
you
have
that
we
have
here
on
our
screen,
like
maybe
take
that
paper
like
have
our
principal
and
maybe
counselor,
read
it
that
way
we
can
like.
We
could.
H
F
F
C
I
I
would
like
for
my
school
to
participate
as
well.
D
Can
you
include
united
high
school
as.
C
Well,
and
for
that,
we
will
really
need
as
much
as
you
know,
we'll
give
you
the
information.
We
really
need
your
help
to
move
it
or
not
right
because
they're
going
through
the
administrative
side,
but
you
know
they're
everything
to
really
complement.
If
or
you
know
your
passions,
then
it's
easier
to
get
that
up
because
you
all
are
given
that
opportunity,
but
as
we're
coming
into
yours,
yeah
so.
B
G
F
D
L
L
Hello,
my
name
is
the
communication
administrator.
I
know
some
of
you
have
already
gone
through
our
office
or
we've
already
worked
with
you.
Some
of
you
were
able
to
come
out
in
this
psa
that
we're
about
to
show
you
this
has
to
do
with
trying
to
get.
L
Things
like
that,
because
that's
what
we're
seeing
right
now
on
our
cases,
which
is
you
know,
people
between
the
ages
of
19,
20
and
also
a
little
bit
younger.
So
I
wanted
to
show
you
the
video
real
quick
that
we
came
up.
So
thank
you
for.
A
I
J
B
L
J
L
L
As,
however,
you
want,
you
can
do
it
at
your
schools,
you
can
do
it
on
social
media,
but
please
we
need
your
help.
Putting
this
out
there.
We
are
going
to
also
put
it
out,
but
we
wanted
to
bring
it
to
you
guys
first,
so
that
you
were
able
to
kind
of
get
the
seal
of
approval
and
then
we
will
be
able
to
to
post
it.
C
It
was
a
very
small
group
of
you
all
who
participated
that
council
did
ask
for
year,
old's
involvement
directly,
even
with
funding,
and
you
know
we're
still
in
coving
we're
still
meeting
people
to
get
vaccinated
to
math
directly,
all
they're
now
in
school.
So
I
know
it's
harder
for
you
all
to
come
out
and
kind
of
collaborate
with
us
now
that
you're
back
in
school,
but
you
know
we're
willing
to
you
know,
have
you
come
when
you.
C
Sing
in
my
school
or
around
my
friends,
whether
that
be
just
like
a
video
or
a
tick,
tock
or
any,
I
don't
know
any
sort
of
other
social
media
post
or
message
we're
willing
to
work
with
you,
not
necessarily
as
a
group
or
within
the
meeting.
But
on
your
own
time,
because
you
know
even
they
just
did
another
video
and
it's
with
kids
voices
and
it's
you
know
we're
happy
to
pull
in
people,
because
you
know
we
need
to
get
new
stuff
out.
L
High
increase
in
cases
with
just
even
little
ones,
at
elementary
schools.
I
know
that
we're
also
seeing
those
in
high
school
right
now
and-
and
you
guys
get
to
see
that
every
single
day
as
to
what's
happening
in
your
school,
so
just
like
karen
said,
if
you
guys
have
any
kind
of
idea
whether
you
yourself
want
to
go
ahead
and
do
it.
We
have
no
problem,
send
us
the
video
we
will
help
you
put
it
together.
L
If
you
need
that
service
as
well,
so
we
we
will
be
able
to
help
you
out
too,
just
a
reminder
to
do
it.
This
way,
not
this
way
because
it'll,
it's
a
lot
difficult
to
to
edit,
but
we
need
your
help
promoting
and
just
kind
of
letting
people
know,
especially.
C
You
probably
need
to
be
putting
out
whether
that
includes
recording
you
or
a
certain
message,
or
maybe
there's
like
like.
We
know
who
the
influencers
are
in
narrato
in
terms
of
like
older,
I
think
of
it,
but
we
don't
make
it
or
someone.
We
don't
know
that
you
all
thought
of
locally.
So
let
us
know
those
things
as
well
to
see
how
we
can
partner
with
other
people
here
in
the
city
as
well.
I
Tell
like
students
like
because,
like
I
know
that,
there's
a
lot
of
students
who,
like
don't
want
to
wear
their
masks,
but
I
think
it's
kind
of
like
now
like
it
should
be
enforced
to
wear
like
a
mask
to
school,
like
it
is
getting
worse.
And
it's
mostly
like
teenagers
that
are
getting
sick
and
they're,
taking
it
home
to
their
families.
And
it's
spreading.
L
This
week,
between
tomorrow
or
friday,
we
are
already
we
already
spoke
with
both
school
districts.
Maybe
we
also
need
to
reach
out
to
like
synagogue
and
all
them
too,
but
they
have
agreed
to
take
our
video
and
actually
show
it
or
actually
putting
it
out,
like
you
know,
during
announcements
or
something
like
that,
so
that's
something
that
it's
it's
available
as
well,
so
they.
I
L
B
I
just
wanted
to
add
to
that.
I
think
it's
also
very
important.
I
don't
know
what
other
videos
you
guys
would
make,
but
I
think
you
know
the
next
video
could
be
make
something
targeted
to
people
our
age,
because
I
know
this
video
is
mostly
targeted
to
parents
and
adults
because
they
are
the
only
ones
that
can
really
give
consent
to
you
know
for
their
like
their
kids
to
get
vaccinated,
but
I
think
in
the
term
of
math,
because
that's
you
know
everything.
L
L
B
Absolutely
yes,
one
more
thing.
I
know
that,
for
copyright
reasons
it's
very
difficult
to
like
use
other
people's
songs,
but
if
there
was
any
way
that
we
could.
B
For
example,
there's
a
song
called
mask
off
if
there
was
any
way
that
we
could
change
it
and
say
like
mask
on
or
something
like
that,
or
maybe
just
not
like
or
create
our
own
song
with.
L
Out
there
right
now,
that's
very
difficult
because,
because
of
copyright
reasons,
so
the
music
that
you
heard
here
these
are
music,
that
we
have
the
rights
to
because
we
paid
for
or
they're
free,
because
they're
downloadable,
but
again.
L
So
there
are,
there
are
ways
to
find
things,
so
we
can
help
you
with
some
of
that.
But
yes-
and
I
think.
B
It
would
be
really
fun
if
you
know
everybody.
You
like
encouraging
your
friends
sending
videos
of
us
just
putting
our
math
class.
B
Places
and
then
adding
that
like
little,
you
know
music
in
the
background
it's
a
little
cringey
but
I
think
loki.
Our
generation
is
cringing
and
I
think
it
would
be
fun.
L
But
yes,
get
these
videos
send
it
to
us,
and
it's
karen
send
it
to
myself.
We
will
be
able
to
help
you
put
it
all
together
in
a
way
that
makes
sense
so
that
you
guys
can
you
know,
are
able
to
share
it
and
do
what
you
have.
C
L
I
B
B
B
C
The
committee
there's
five
of
them
work
together.
Were
you
all
in
the
committee?
No
okay,
josh.
You
were
in
the
committee
no.
C
So
you
were
in
the
committee:
okay,
you're
welcome
to
come
up
here.
It's
up
to
you.
They
work
together
to
put
together
these
bylaws.
We
went
through
them.
We
made
edits
sofia
cavea,
also
shared
some
comments
from
a
group
that
she
had
shared.
So
what
we
can
do
is
we
can
go
through
them.
They're
kind
of
lengthy
right.
These
are
gonna
whatever
is
on.
Here.
C
Is
gonna
stay
not
just
past
this
year,
but
any
year
year,
moving
forward,
you
can
approve
them,
as
is
we
can
make
edits
and
anytime
we
make
an
edit
it's,
you
know
we
amend
it
and
it
can
be
discussed
right.
So
it's
a
working
document,
any
questions
you
have,
we
can
talk
it
out
and
we
go
from
there,
but
at
the
end
you're
going
to
have
to
you
know
we'll
end
up
with
an
approved
document.
Okay,.
B
C
I
1.1
name,
the
name
of
the
interview,
shall
be
the
little
youth
council
purpose.
The
purpose
of
murder
youth
council
is
to
educate
and
encourage
the
next
generation
of
our
city
leaders
about
the
elements
that
go
into
the
city
government.
The
members
of
greater
youth
council
are
expected
to
represent
their
peers
and
advise
their
local
government
officials
over
concerns
that
the
youth
and
the
committee
may
have.
Members
of
the
royal
youth
council
must
also
participate
in
community
service
projects
to
give
back
to
the
community.
C
This
is
next
part
that
we
go
to.
This
is
really
important,
because
that's
going
to
define
the
responsibility
to
find
what
you
all
do,
what,
if
what
you
don't
do
that
can
get
you
removed
from
your
position,
so
that's
kind
of
important.
So
if
you're
like
oh
this,
you
know
if
there's
something
to
discuss
it
might
be,
especially
in
this
section.
I
Responsibilities,
the
writer
council
members
are
expected
to
do
the
following:
attend
schedule:
monthly
meetings,
job
shadow,
each
participant
will
select
a
member
or
members
of
a
city
department
to
job
shadow
of
observational
meetings.
Each
lyc
member
must
attend
at
least
six
city
council
meetings
throughout
the
year
for
at
least
one
hour.
C
Points
just
from
our
discussion.
I
just
wanted
to
go
through
a
few
points,
so
attend
scheduled
monthly
meetings.
Okay,
this
is
a
little
bit
vague.
I
know
in
the
powerpoint
we
had
been
a
bit
more
specific
right.
C
G
C
D
C
G
I
K
So
that
way
we
won't
have
to
go
back
and
forth,
like
sometimes
like.
We
don't
read
our
emails
and
we
can't
like
answer
the
polls
and
answer
it
like
quickly,
so
that
we
can
get
like
the
meeting
date
and
then
we
won't
be
able
to
like
answer
it
quickly
and
that
way,
then
the
meeting
is
already
planned
out
without,
like
us
being
like
pulled
together.
Okay,
all
right.
B
Anything
else
on
this
side.
No,
okay,
can
I
speak.
I
see
something.
Yes,
okay,
I
don't
know
if
there's
anything
that
we
can
do
with
both.
I
think
it
would
be
very
beneficial
if
we
had
a
set
date
that
way
we
could
work
around
it,
because
the
posing
thing
was
a
little
bit
difficult.
B
I
had
to
cancel
community
to
be
here
because
it
was
already
scheduled,
but
it
was
already
so
far
back,
but
I
didn't
want
to
miss
this
one,
so
I
think
if
we
had
them
scheduled,
for
you
know
at
least
the
next
six
months,
if
that
would
be
possible
the
same
way,
we
do
the
regular
city
council.
B
I
think
that
would
be
great
now,
if
there's
any
re,
you
can
still
find
out
a
poll,
and
if
we
all
you
know
the
majority
of
us
vote,
that
we
cannot
be
there
or
if
that
means
very
simple,
and
you
need
certain
people
to
be
there
specifically
and
we
vote
that
we
can,
if
there's
any
way
that
we
can
reschedule.
Yes,.
C
C
So
council
meets
every
first
and
third
monday
of
the
month,
so
maybe,
like
the
you
all,
can
maybe
meet
like
the
second
week
of
the
month.
Okay,
that
would
be-
or
you
could
meet,
maybe
like
that
wednesday
on
the
first
or
third
week.
Something
like
that
and
jenna
says
you
have
something
disgusting.
I'd
like.
C
G
E
Which
days
are
easier
for
everybody,
then
we
can
set
up
an
actual
date
for
for
every
month,
from
there
on.
So
today
we
can
do
like
which
day
is
easier,
monday,
tuesday,
wednesday,
thursday
at
6pm,
and
then
from
there.
We
go
from
there
because
it's
also
like
just
like
she
said,
she's
not
available
on
wednesdays,
but
he
is
so.
I
feel
like.
If
we
ask
what
day
are
we
doing
most
likely
available?
B
Yes,
yes,
that's
easier!
Yes,
I
just
wanted
to
add.
If
we
could
talk
about
which
days
we
would
all
be
most
available
on,
for
example,
I
can
complete
these
for
now,
but
I
most
likely
will
be
able
to
do
tuesdays
better,
and
I
know
that
you
just
said
that
you
can't
do
wednesdays.
B
You
said
wednesdays
are
free,
so
I
think
that
could
also
be
part
of
the
bylaws
that
the
loreno
youth
council
has
to
make
a
poll
on
which
days
they
will
be
most
available
and
whatever
day
wins.
That
will
be
like
the
day
that
they
will
have
the
meetings
thereafter
for.
C
B
And
then
they
can
and
then
you
can
set
specific
dates
that
way
people
can
work
around
the
schedule
so
that
they
know
I
have
a
meeting
this
day.
It's
going
to
be
non-negotiable
or
whatnot.
C
Okay,
so
you're
saying
to
make
the
edit
to
are
you
guys
taking
notes.
C
Job,
what's
it
called
so
you're
saying
basically
after
this,
let's
say
tomorrow,
all
of
you
all
will
receive
a
poll
like
the
the
one
we
just
did
and
it'll
have
monday
through
friday.
Let's
say
you
most
of
you
put
that
you
all
are
available
on
wednesday.
Then
wednesday
is
going
to
be
the
day
for
the
meeting.
B
Okay,
I'm
sorry
would
there
be
like,
could
we
do
it
every
six
months?
Could
that
be
the
date
for
six
months
and
then
we
can
vote
again?
I
don't
know
what
that
would
be.
C
B
C
G
B
C
C
Three,
maybe
a
summer
internship,
something
that
is
not
here
that
we
had
discussed
was
adding
responsibilities
that
you
know,
I
think
they
had
just
said
they
were
interested
in,
was
adding
some
sort
of
mentorship,
so
you
would
be
matched
with
someone
a
city
employee,
as
kind
of
like
a
mentor
to
you
throughout
your
year
or
through
your
time
here
that
you
can
use
as
someone
you
know,
maybe
another
recommendation,
someone
for
career
advice,
someone
hey,
you
want
to
come
and
job
shadow
me
other
than
the
internship,
because
I'm
an
attorney-
and
I
really
really
want
to
be
an
attorney
like
kind
of
help.
C
B
Yes,
I
think
definitely
so
that
I
do
feel
like
three
days
was
not
enough
for
these
city
officials
to
really
get
to
know
us.
I
know
that
we're
all
here,
because
we're
seeking
opportunity
for
when
you
know
we
leave
the
radio
and
hopefully
come
back,
and
I
think
recommendation
letters
will
be
really
good,
that
they
can't
really
do
that
unless
they
know
us
on
a
you
know
a
personal
level
or
a
more
professional
level.
So
do
I
make
a
motion?
B
Yes,
okay,
I
motion
that
we
will
be
that
the
florida
city,
youth
council
will
be
able
to
have
a
mentor
mentorship
throughout
the
year
with
a
city
official.
B
Okay,
all
in
favor,
say
aye
all.
B
C
Is
there
anything
else
missing
from
oh,
then,
the
observational
meetings,
each
youth
council
member,
must
attend
and
the
sixth
city
council.
C
Any
city
council
meeting
there's
two
a
month
right
and
aside
from
that,
we
also
have
special
called
meetings
right.
We
have
them
a
lot
more
now
and
those
you
know
are
put
up
quickly.
They
can
happen
any
time
of
the
day.
So
if
you
miss
another
meeting,
you
can
come
to
one
of
those
sound
good.
D
C
Right
you're
welcome
to
take
a
seat
and
then
mia
for
the
record.
He's
blaine
dixon
is
at
the
meeting.
I
D
A
B
So
for
okay,
I'm
sorry
for
the
each
member
turn
shall
be
one
year
or
until
a
student
graduates
from
high
school.
Are
we
going
with
the
until
the
student
graduates
from
high
school,
even
if
they
turn
18
before
they
graduate.
I
Reliability,
application
requirements
to
be
considered
eligible
for
membership
related
accounts
of
the
applicant
must
reside
within
the
city
limits
of
laredo
webb
county
texas.
Maintaining
a
good
standing
at
school,
be
entering
in
grades
11
or
12.
The
following
school
year
submit
an
application
on
time.
I
B
I
was
going
to
say:
are
they
going
to
be
required
to
be
in
clubs,
yes
or
in
some
in
some
sort
of
involvement
with
school.
I
Be
added
okay!
Go
ahead,
do
like,
is
it
going
to
be
required
to
have
like
a
certain
gpa
or
like
grade
point?
No
just
passing.
J
G
C
E
I
think,
maybe
just
to
add
a
good
involvement
within
the.
E
So
some
community
service
work
would
be
a
good
thing.
I
know
that
comes
out
on
the
application,
but
I
think
someone
in
this
organization
should
have
a
good
standing
within
the
community
and
should
be
doing
community
service
work.
G
I
J
Yes,
yes,
section
3.2
selection
of
officers.
Candidates
for
the
officers
of
the
laredo
youth
council
may
be
nominated
by
their
peers
or
through
self-nomination
voting
for
officers
will
be
conducted
using
a
secret
ballot
that
all
members
of
the
council
will
vote
on.
Officers
shall
be
selected
at
the
first
regularly
scheduled
meeting
in
june
and
take
office
at
the
first
regularly
scheduled
meeting
in
august.
J
A
J
C
So
we
talked
when
we
met
with
for
the
bylaws.
We
had
an
idea,
maybe
that
something
may
the
historian
could
kind
of
be
in
charge
of
taking
photos
of
any
events
you
all
are
at
anything
you
all
do
and
kind
of.
E
J
G
J
Section
3.4
terms
and
vacancies
of
officers
each
officer's
term
shall
be
for
one
year.
Previous
officers
may
be
nominated
and
placed
in
the
office
in
office,
the
following
term,
provided
that
they
will
remain
within
the
election
eligibility
eligibility
requirements,
see
section
2.2
and
win
the
majority
vote
in
case
of
resignation
or
dismissal
of
the
of
the
lyc
of
an
officer.
An
election
will
be
held
to
replace
the
position
for
an
unexpired
term
using
selection
guidelines
from
section
3.2.
C
B
I'm
sorry
I
just
wanted
to
add
to
that
section.
The
section
3.4
are
we
going
to
state
that
unless
they
graduate
high
school,
I
know
that
was
stated
prior,
but
I
don't
know
if
it
is
important
to
state
it
again.
B
Because
I
don't
set
it
for
one
year
that
we
have
to
stay
in
high
school,
no,
that
you
have
to
state
here
in
the
bylaws,
no
matter
what
that
and
or
if
the
student
is
still
in
high
school,
they
are
still
able
to
be
part
of
the
lyrido
city
of
council.
B
C
J
J
J
G
J
Meeting
of
the
month-
okay,
all
right,
everybody
good
with
that.
Yes,
okay
and
then
article
five
amendments
amendments
can
be
made
through
the
bylaws
only
with
the
following
requirements:
two-thirds
of
the
votes
are
needed
to
approve
the
amendment.
There
was
more
to
it.
Wasn't
there.
Let
me
let
me
look
that
up.
I
couldn't.
I
was
going
back
to
my
notes
and
I
couldn't
find
it.
C
Let
me
go
through
my
notes
so,
based
on
this
discussion,
I
would
like,
if
you
walk
in
motion
to
for
the
subcommittee,
to
make
these
edits.
B
All
right,
I
notion
that
the
subcommittee
edits
and
brings
an
updated
version
of
the
bylaws
to
our
next
meeting.
Can
I
have
a
second
to
the
motion?
A
second
all
in
favor
say
aye.
C
Just
some
little
points
it
was
brought,
it
was
suggested.
You
know
to
kind
of
bring
this
forward
to
you
guys
here
in
this
meeting
who's
here
you
guys
myself
and
maybe
some
other
city
staff
members
and
really,
while
you
guys
are
here
to
discuss
this
council
is
really
these
meetings,
and
these
ideas
are
really
open
to
any
youth
right.
When
we
had
this
council
open,
we
had
over
50
students
apply
to
be
in
the
council,
so
we
know
other
students
are
interested
for
different
reasons.
C
We
know
that
you
all
are
very
involved
in
your
school,
so
maybe
there's
a
way
just
kind
of
how
we're
trying
to
move
that
suicide
prevention
into
your
schools.
You're
welcome
to
find
ways
to
how
can
you
bring
your
student,
your
you
know,
students
from
your
schools
or
clubs,
or
anything
to
come
here
and
see
how
they
can
collaborate
with
the
city
as
well
participate
in
meetings.
They
don't
have
a
vote
but
hey.
How
can
they
get
involved
as
well
like
work
with
us
on
a
project.
C
To
work
on
this,
or
you
know,
xyz,
but
they
can,
you
know
also
be
involved
and
you
can
say
hey.
I
would
like
you
know,
high
school
students
in
the
area
to
be
involved
and
they're
already
here
and
they're
welcome.
You
know
to
participate
in
their
own
way
as
well
or
just
listen
in
and
give
their
opinions
through
public
comment.
However,
they
want,
but
we
would
love
to
see
more
involvement
and
that
gives.
B
Just
have
a
question
so
we
would
be
able
to
bring
like
classmates
to
these
to
the
meetings.
Yes,.
B
Would
there
be
any
way
that
you
know,
for
example,
if
a
student
is
interested
in,
you
know
coming
to
maine
or
like
bringing
something
that
they
would
want
to
propose
or
to
encourage,
like
people
already
to
come
to
these
meetings?.
C
So
if
let's
say
you
know
that
you
know
suicide
prevention
thing,
if
you
wanted
them
to
come
right
and
they
get
involved,
then
that
would
kind
of
be
different
because
they
they
are
getting
involved.
C
In
the
meaning,
I
don't
know
how
to
be
more
environmentally
friendly
at
our
parks
or
across
the
city,
and
you
get,
you
know,
co-sponsors
to
go
along
with
you
and
you
have
a
student
organization
or
friends
that
are
interested
in
that
they
can
come
in
the
meeting
and
you
can
have
them
participate
as
well
through
public
comment
or
through
your
item,
so
that
there
are
different
ways
to
get
people
involved.
It
doesn't,
and
you
know,
volunteer
their
time
or
whatever
on
our
projects.
B
Okay,
I
just
have
one
more
question:
if
any
student
would
want
to
come
in
regards
to
something
that
involves
like
the
uic
border,
la.
B
Doing
about
anything
whether
it
be
dress
code
or
there
are
a
lot
of
ideas
that
I've
heard
across,
like
my
classmates
talking
about
things
that
they
would
like
to
involve
in
schools,
which
is
you
know
where
we
spend
most
of
our
time?
Could
they
bring
that
here
and
propose
that
here
and
could
the
city
work
with
them
to
do
any
of
these
things?
Or
can
you
give
me
an
exam?
B
So,
for
example,
I
have
heard
a
lot
of
you
know
specifically
girls
in
my
school
thinking
about
protesting
the
dress
code,
because,
even
though
that
it
is
casual,
we
have
some
new
signs
that
it
can
be
sexist
towards
and
bias
towards,
allowing
women
to
wear
certain
things
and
not
allowing
them
to
worsen
things.
But
then
men
can
walk
in
hats
and
beanies
and
they're
not
told
anything,
even
though
it's
technically
that's
a
dress
for
you,
but
because
it's
not
sexualized
it's
okay.
B
So
I've
heard
a
lot
of
classmates
saying
they
would
like
to
talk
about
it.
They
don't
know
how.
I
just
don't
know
how
involved
the
like.
The.
C
Sports
that
does
sound
like
something
that
would
be
taken
up
more
at
a
uic
or
llc
board
meeting
where
you
can
also
have
public
comment
or
go
on.
Anyone
is
welcome
to
come
to
a
public
public
comment
here
in
this
meeting
or
at
a
city
council
meeting,
but
that
doesn't
necessarily
mean
that
we
have
authority
over
that
they're
welcome
to
bring
it.
G
E
I
know
I
do
the
I
do
like
the
announcements
throughout
the
school.
So,
if
you
ever
like
want
anything
done,
I
can
talk
to
my
principal
to
do
announcements.
He.
G
C
E
I
think
it
will
also
benefit
with
the
math
squaring
if
we
discuss
like
a
short
little
statement
from
the
health
department,
city,
health
department
and
just
say
like
this
is
what's
happening.
This
is
this
maybe
covered
numbers-
I
don't
know,
but
just
basically
so
that
way,
they're
like
reminded
okay.
This
is
this
is
still
going
on
and
we
still
need
to
do
our
mask
going
back
to
the
other
subject.
Obviously,
but
yeah.
E
C
E
B
Well,
for
my
school,
specifically,
we
only
announced
like
umass.
I
know
that
contenders
middle
school
is
going
to
be
giving
a
vaccine
drive,
so
they
announce
it
as
well.
If
anybody
wants
to
post
that
they
will
be
having
a
vaccine
drive,
but
that's
about
it.
They
don't
talk
about
covered
numbers.
C
None
of
that,
okay!
No!
That's
a
that's
a
good
idea!
That's
also
some
yeah
well
we'll
see
on
our
end
and
we
can
suggest
that,
but
I
think
for
all
of
you,
that's
something
you
can
find
on
social
media
and
share
it
with
your
with
your
schools,
with
your
administration
to
kind
of
hey.
How
can
you
use
this
as
an
alert
kind
of
to
see
where
numbers
are
going
and
then
just
one
more
note,
all
of
you
all
look
very
good
with
your
blue
polos.
C
Seeing
you
with
them,
but
you
can
wear
them,
but
you
don't
have
to
it
can
be
more
when
we
go
do
community
service
events
or
have
you
know
more
people
in
a
meeting
where
you
come
present
to
council
but
feel
free
to
come.
I
know
it's,
you
know
right
after
school,
so
you
don't
have
to
go
home
and
change
so
yeah.
I
just
didn't,
want
any
of
y'all
rushing
home
or
anything
to
change,
but
thank
you
for
wearing
them,
but
feel
free
to
not
feel
that
pressure
next
time.
C
I
C
Here
but
I
just
they're
welcome,
you
know,
let
me
know
and
we
can.
C
C
E
Motion
to
adjourn
okay,
I
make
the
motion
to
adjourn.
Can
I
have
something
I
think
someone
else
needs
to
make
the
motion.
