From YouTube: Library Advisory Committee Meeting 033121
Description
Library Advisory Meeting 033121
A
Now
the
only
thing
that
I
don't
have,
I
don't
have
the
agenda
in
front
of
me.
Okay,
so
we
can
go
ahead
and
get
started.
Then
do
we
do
the
pledge
of
allegiance?
I
don't
even
know
yes,
yes,
correct,
yes,
okay,
oh
there
there's
a
flag.
Okay,.
A
Oh
here
we
go
the
meet
it's
what
5
13
and
we
call
a
meeting
to
order
to
check
to
see
if
we
have
a
roll
call.
Angie.
B
Go
here
we
go.
C
C
A
Okay,
thank
you,
then
we'll
go
the
first
item
on
the
agenda
reviewing
the
minutes.
If
you
have
the
copy
of
the
agenda,
I
guess
you
can
review.
D
B
B
B
E
A
F
D
Yes,
and
and
of
all
that
I
have
is
the
welcoming
of
miss
ethelid
perez,
who
is
the
appointee
of
councilwoman
vanessa
perez?
This
is
right.
Seven.
A
Okay,
can
we
have
just
like,
like
a
sort
of
a,
I
guess,
a
roll
call
like
I'm,
not
sure
who
else
is
in
the
meeting
like
forgive
me,
I
don't
know
who
who
me
me
about
this.
I'm
sorry
who
else
is
is
here,
I'm
not
sure.
D
Would
you
like
me
to
arrange
coins
here?
So,
yes,
yes,
miss
sandra
cavazos
ayala
is
here
he's
maribel,
mimi,
valdes
rodriguez
is
here
angelica
salinas,
rosa,
mariano.
A
D
Okay
and
we'll
start
with
with
my
report,
we
still
do
not
have
a
date
for
reopening.
I
don't
know
if
you
heard
the
city
has
implemented
opening
in
stages
for
city
buildings,.
D
They
have
four
stages
and
it
depends
on
certain
metrics
or
measurements
that
they
need
to
meet
before
they
move
on
to
the
next
one.
We
are
currently
at
stage
one
where
I'm
still
waiting
for
the
city
managers
to
well
we're
still
waiting
for
the
city
manager's
directive
to
see
if
we're
gonna
move
into
stage
two
or
three
the
library
is
listed
as
being
open
until
stage
four,
and
it
looks
like
all
the
all
the
measurements
are
there.
D
The
only
thing
I
think
that
we're
currently
missing
is
the
percentage
of
city
of
laredo
staff
having
been
fully
vaccinated
and
that
that
is
supposed
to
be
at
75
percent.
I
believe
we're
currently
at
58,
so
it's
I
I
did
meet
with
my
boss,
which
is
the
assistant
city
manager,
christina
hale,
and
when
I
did
meet
it
was
before
this
past
city
council
meeting,
and
she
was
thinking,
maybe
in
july,
they're
thinking
that
rec,
centers
and
libraries
will
be
open.
D
It
might
be
sooner
depending
on
on
the
vaccination
rate
of
city
employees,
but
other
things
that
are
being
taken
into
consideration
are
the
hospitalization
rate,
positivity
rate,
the
number
of
active
cases,
etc.
A
D
Well
and
I've
been
tasked
with
keeping
track
of
first
vaccination.
Second
vaccination
school
vaccination.
If
everything
goes
to
plan,
I
will
have
about
79
80
percent
of
my
staff,
fully
vaccinated
of
the
ones
that
want
to
be
vaccinated.
A
But
no
okay,
that's
very
good
79
percent.
That
that's
awesome,
because
I
was
just
wondering
about
that
as
far
as
the
life,
because
you
know
they're
the
ones.
Oh,
you
know
the
context
yeah,
but
exactly
the
library
has
a
lot
of
contact.
It's
like
a
school,
so
you
get
a
lot
of
first-person
contact
with
people.
Okay,
thank
you.
D
Okay
and
speaking
with
my
boss,
miss
hale.
I
also
asked
her
if
we
would
be
allowed
to
open
in
phases,
in
other
words,
offer
some
services,
maybe
have
limited
hours,
maybe
just
computer
usage
and
still
continue
with
the
curbside
and
other
services,
no
in-person
programs.
Just
yet
until
we're
given
the
go
ahead,
and,
of
course,
if
we
do
open,
like
you
know
like
we
were
a
year
ago,
I
will
probably
I
will
need
some
of
my
staff
back.
That's
currently
in
other
departments.
A
D
A
A
What's
the
new
plan
as
far
as
what
sort
of
signage
designations
will
there
be
around
the
libraries
to
facilitate
and
still
maintain
some
sort
of
the
the
level
of
services
that
were
there
prior
to
this,
and
then,
of
course,
with
everybody's
safety,
like,
for
example,
has
ever
been
plexiglas
that
have
been
ordered
or
put
up
around
the.
D
For
the
all
service
desks,
have
the
plexiglas
we've
ordered
signage
for
for
the
floor,
for
the
social
distancing,
we've
ordered
hand
sanitizers
throughout
the
building,
and,
of
course
the
city
is,
is
mandating
masks
in
any
city
building
which
makes
staff
a
lot
more
comfortable.
Yeah
face
shields,
masks,
you
name
it.
D
A
I
have
a
question,
though,
I'm
wondering
because
I
don't
know
I
don't
know
how
we're
going
to
handle
it.
But
of
course
the
governor
just
the
mask
mandate
is
out.
So
what?
If
a
patron,
comes
into
the
library
and
insists
I'm
not
going
to
wear
a
mask,
he's
he
or
she's
still
allowed
to
enter.
Is
that
correct.
B
I
know
I
think
if
the
city.
D
Messiah
that's
correct.
We
we've
been
told
that
we
can
refuse
service.
We
are
going
to
get
our
security
guard
back
also
to
help
enforce
it.
Hopefully
it
it.
It
happens
in
other
places
too,
where
people
just
used
to
wear
it,
so
we're
just
gonna
have
to
enforce
that
by
ear.
I
don't
want
anybody
in
danger.
D
Right
we,
we
have
called
police
in
other
cases,
not
not
necessarily
because
of
masks,
and
they
do
get
here
rather
quickly
because
they're
right
down
the
road.
But
once
we
do
open,
we
will
have
a
security
guard
and
hopefully
that'll
deter
some
of
the
people.
A
Has
has
the
city
debriefed
or
or
given
a
presentation
to
any
of
you
all
about
the
filtration
systems,
the
air
filtration
systems
and
the
like
in
libraries
and
stuff,
because
none
of
us
were
built
for
this,
but
I
know
that
I
know
even
we
are
reviewing
our
bar
for
filtration
systems
and
how
that
works
and
how
we're
going
to
do
that.
Has
that
been
brought
up
at
all
with
with
you
all.
A
Be
opening
windows
or
what
are
we
going
to
be
doing?
You
know
just
to
just
to
assist
in
in
prevention
here
you
know,
in
addition
to
the
hand,
sanitizers
and
the
masks
clean
filled,
you
know
air
coming
in
would
be
another
another
case,
especially
for
you
know,
you're
there,
eight
eight
hours
a
day
or
more,
you
know.
So
definitely
you
would
want
that.
Okay,
I
was
just
wondering.
A
That'd
be
something
I
think
I
want
to
bring
up
with
with
mrs
hale,
because
I
know
we
we
have
been
doing
like
our
dampers
in
our
schools
are
fully
open
now
to
to
bring
in
more
air
just
you
know
just
to
get
that
air
flowing
through
the
through
the
school
because,
like
in
my
school
I
mean-
I
don't
know
about
mrs
salinas
at
hers,
but
we've
got
200
students.
E
All
right,
I
agree
with
you
bob.
I
think
it's
very
important,
especially
when
there's
a
lot
of
of
you
know:
people
coming
from
all
different
places
and
you
don't
know
what
they
have
yeah.
B
Maybe
maybe
we
should
ask
for
a
like,
like
what
bob
is
asking
for,
like
a
report
or
some
sort
of
a
protocol
that
will
be
happening
as
the
library
begins
to
open?
Yes,
more
or
less?
What
do
you
think
about
amino?
What
do
you
update
yeah.
B
E
B
D
D
I
would
definitely
want
to
get
the
risk
department
involved.
We've
we've
had
a
plan
that
we've
been
updating
since
the
very
beginning.
You
know
thinking
that
oh
we're
going
to
open
in
the
following
months
or
not
or
not,
but
where
we
put
instructions
as
to
how
we're
going
to
operate
in
here
right.
A
Yes,
yes,
just
because
you
you
want
to,
I
guess
the
other,
the
other
side
of
that
would
be
to
to
some
promote,
I
guess,
awareness
among
the
public,
because
the
public
wants
to
have
confidence
in
that
they
can
go
to
the
library
and
feel
okay
about
it
and
and
because
it's
a
public
facility.
We
have
to
take
much
more
many
more
precautions
in
places
that
people
are
flocking
to
like
a
restaurant
or
what
have
you
there?
A
They
don't
seem
to
ask
them
for
their
hvac
plan,
but
here,
yes,
this
is
a
public
facility,
and
I
know,
for
example,
I
know
we
make
we've
made
videos
to
encourage
parents
to
allow
their
students
to
come
in
to
test
for
things
like
tell
pass
and
star,
and
we
presented
videos
like
saying
this
is
how
we're
gonna
do
it.
You
know
so
that
they
have
a
confidence
in
us
that
we're
practicing
everything
we
can
to
ensure
the
safety
of
of
their
child
as
they
come
in
to
test
and
something
along
those
lines.
A
As
far
as
are
we
doing
something
in
that
case,
maybe
working
with
our
public
access
people
saying
this
is
how
it's
going
to
be
now
when
you
come
to
the
library,
yes,.
A
D
We've
had
that
for
what
this
the
services
that
we're
we're
doing
right
now,
I
don't
know
if
you've
seen
the
one
where
the
patron
drives
drives
to
pick
up
their
curbside.
They
don't
have
a
mask
on
they.
They
want
to
get
out
of
their
car.
So
we
we
did
a
little
video
for
that
from
side
service.
We
can
certainly
do
one
for
when
we
provide.
D
A
A
D
And
and
again
we
provided
in
your
packet
in
the
email
we
sent
you
flyers
for
the
programs
that
we're
offering
and
for
and
also
another
separate
file
for,
the
services
that
we
continue
to
offer
april
usually
is
a
very
busy
month
for
us
when
we're
open
to
public,
but
we're
still
doing
additional
programs
tomorrow
we're
having
an
easter
giveaway,
we're.
D
Events
during
national
library
week
and,
of
course,
dia
de
los
ninos,
dia
de
los,
libros
and
and
plus
in
addition
to
all
our
ongoing
programs,
the
story
time
live
the
the
fit
lit.
The
the
poi.
E
That's
me
see,
I
think
many
things
yeah
it's
been,
it's
been
very
good
and
I
want
to
thank
miss
holis
and
roxanne
garza
for
helping
me
so
much.
We've
had
you
know
real
good.
Last
time
we
had
over
30
attendees
and
a
lot
of
people,
writing
poetry
and
I
just
give
them
10
minutes
guys
10
minutes.
E
It's
been
very
successful
and
I
want
to
invite
you
all
to
come
watch.
You
know
you
don't
have
to
write
poetry
if
you
don't
want
to,
but
just
watch
this.
This
time
is
next
tuesday
at
six.
We're
gonna
have
celebrating
shakespeare
and
cervantes
since
we're
bilingual
by
cultural
community,
so
we'll
be
reading
first
in
english
and
espanol,
and
I've
invited
some
teachers,
mostly
teachers,
friends
of
mine.
You
know
to
read
for
me,
so
it
won't
be
my
same
voice.
E
You
know,
so
I
won't
bore
you
and
then
we
do
the
writing
part,
and
I
invite
you
and
then
I
have
an
open
mic.
If
you
know
anyone
who
has
who
likes
to
read
her
or
his
poems
aloud,
we're
gonna
have
an
open
mic
on
the
22nd
of
april.
That's
a
thursday
also
all
that
to
celebrate
poetry
month
right,
but
I
invite
you
all.
So
you
can
come
see
me
so.
E
Right
here
this
is
my
podium
right
here
and
roxanne
garza
from
the
library.
Thank
you
and
she
helps
me
with
a
powerpoint.
We
do
powerpoints
and
then
my
teacher
friends,
I
you
know
they
they
read,
so
won't
be
my
voice.
The
first
time
I
read
the
whole
thing
and
first
I
was
so
tired
from
reading.
Not
only
I
mean
I
don't
mind
saying,
but
then
the
same
voice
it
gets
boring.
So
I've
invited
some
of
my
friends
to
read
and
this
time
mando
lopez
who's,
a
terrific.
E
You
know,
poet,
he's
he's
reading
from
shakespeare
and
yeah,
alberto
guajardo
who's,
a
teacher
and
an
actor
is
reading.
Sonnet
18
from
shakespeare
mundo,
three
reading
from
the
play
as
you
like
it,
and
then
we're
asking
other
people
you
know
to
read
and
then
from
cervantes,
we're
reading,
consejo
don
quixote.
E
And
stuff,
like
I
mean
it's
beautiful,
if
you
like,
poetry
like
I
do,
you
know
and
you'll,
enjoy
the
readings
and
and
then
from
the
readings
I
I
promote,
then
I
make
them
the
the
proc
and
this
time
the
prompt
is
right,
a
classic.
What
is
a
classic
we're
going
to
start
what
is
a
classic?
You
know,
and-
and
we
and
and
it's
incredible
I
last
time
a
beautiful
poem
from
a
60,
no
a
14
year
old
or
somebody
from
middle
school,
and
we
were
like
what
you
know.
E
It's
right
there,
and
and
but
you
need
to
register
with
roxanne,
and
then
she
sends
you
it's
like
today.
She
sends
you
something:
it's
a
request.
It's
a
request,
because
not
everybody
can
it's
not
a
zoom
meeting,
it's
a
the
webex!
Oh!
So
if
you
need
to
to
yeah
that's
what
a
lot
of
people
at
the
last
minute
they
try
to
come
in
and
they
can't
because
they
think
they
can
just
you
know
zoom
in,
but
no
you
have
to
register
and
then
they
send
you,
okay
got
it
yeah,
but
it's
it's
very
good.
E
Just
try
it
especially
now
for
april
celebrate
poetry
month
with
me.
E
E
A
F
E
Well,
no,
I
I've
just
been
nominate,
I
mean
I
was
just
elected
this
year
so
but
but
I've
been
a
teacher
49
years
and
since
1974
I've
had
poetry,
contests
and
poetry,
readings
and
everything,
and-
and
so
yes,
I've
I've
done
it
in
lisd,
I
might
my
poetry
contest
were
famous
and
then
in
cigarroa
my
calaveras,
the
poem
for
the
day
of
the
dead,
were
you
and
all
over
the
place
that
we
would
go.
F
E
That's
a
plan:
okay,
that's
the
plan,
okay
september
and
october.
I'm
thinking.
Maybe
it
depends,
maybe
because
I'm
74
and
my
I'm
vulnerable.
You
know
I
I
don't
want
to
risk,
but
in
september
we're
gonna
do
the
border
life
on
the
border
and
I
plan
to
invite
raquel
vallia
centias,
who
has
a
lot
of
border
poets
and
will
do
anzaldua.
E
And
if
you
love,
poetry
like
I
do
you
know,
you
know
the
ones
that
border
and-
and
I
already
have
my
prompt
living
on
the
border-
is
and
then
you're
right.
You
know.
C
E
F
So
yes,
I
mean
I
I
do
know
who
you
are,
that
monthly
magazine
davino?
Yes,
the
back
of
mr
armando
lopez,
right?
Yes,
yes,
yes,
I
enjoyed
one
about
or
something
I
found
that
I
mean
I've
been
I've
been
keeping
some
of
them
and
I
post
poetry
too,
and
so
I
think,
by
entering
that
segment
on
poetry,
I
believe
it's
it's
involved
more
people
and
you.
E
E
Done
a
wonderful
job-
and
I
do
we
just
rest
in
july
and
august
because
it's
you
know
and
then
november
and
december,
because
yeah
thanksgiving
and
christmas,
but
I
did
eight
months
out
of
the
of
the
year,
and
so
we
will
continue
god
willing,
yeah,
so
september
will
be
for
border
poems
and
october.
For
what
is
it?
Oh
calaveras.
E
And
hopefully
those
will
be
in
person,
but
I
still
don't
know,
may
and
june
may
mother,
celebrating
mothers
june
celebrating
fathers
and
I
have
already
a
lot
of
beautiful
poems
from
mothers
and
fathers
and
some
that
I've
written
myself
and,
of
course,
pando
amanda,
is
always
invited
because
he's
great
yes,
he
is
yeah.
A
Okay,
thank
you
very
much,
mrs
deanno
good
work.
On
that
note.
A
I
just
wanted
to
lister
I'm
just
curious
because
because-
and
this
is
one
of
them
has
and
other
events
that
are
going
to
be
popping
up
things
that
you
would
yearly
annually
have,
is
there
anything
that,
as
far
as
people
would
probably
feel
much
more
comfortable
weather
permitting,
of
course,
if
it
was
outside
with
like
a
speaker
system
where
you
could
you
know
so
yeah
we
I.
D
Yes,
we
we've
discussed
that
we
were
planning
something
for.
I
believe
it
was
last
october,
but
we
at
that
time
we
needed
to
submit
the
program
to
the
I
guess,
the
health
authority,
or
or-
and
it
was
scored-
and
we
were
told
not
to
at
that
time,
but
we
can.
We
we've
thought
about
doing
a
drive-in
story
time,
something
like
that
where
people
can
come
and
park
their
cars
in
the
in
the
parking
lot
and
we'll
have
a
stage.
D
We
we've
discussed
it
at
that
time
that
that
we
actually
submitted
one
of
the
events
it
was
denied
and-
and
they
would
not
let
us
do
it-
maybe
now
that
that
the
there's
more
of
the
community
that's
getting
vaccinated
and
more
things
are
being
open.
They
might
be.
Allow
us
to
do
that.
B
D
A
great
idea
we're
just
yeah:
we
need
to
get
the
okay
from.
For
my
our
higher-ups.
A
Okay,
yeah
just
something
just
something
I
was
thinking
about.
I
know
because
I
know
they
at
the
beginning
or
when
was
it
yes
towards
the
beginning
of
the
year?
They
gathered
us
principles
at
the
sack
and
they
put
our
chairs
all
well
beyond
six
feet
apart
and
they
had
a
stage
and
a
microphone,
and
so
they
that
we
had
a
meeting
in
that
way
and
it
was
early
in
the
morning,
so
we
were
all
outside.
So
there
was
a
a.
A
Okay,
all
right,
I
don't
know
what
the
next
item
is.
Mrs
yellow,
you
know
monthly.
D
Yes-
and
you
do
have
that
in
in
the
packet
that
was
sent
out,
it
looks
very
sad.
The
only
two
libraries
that
are
being
counted
are
the
main
and
moss,
and
of
course,
are
the
numbers
are
negative
compared
to
to
the
same
time
last
year.
Good
thing
is
our
our
electronic
resources
are
are
going
up
more
than
doubling
what
we
had
last
year.
It's
a
good
thing,
because
people
are
starting
to
learn
how
to
use
them
yeah.
That's
that's
one
of
the
only
good
news
about
the
statistics.
E
A
D
And
and
the
only
one
who
and
she
did
call
in
because
she
had
another
meeting
with
miss
melipais,
okay.
C
C
B
A
Okay,
it's
breaking
in
and
out
here
I
don't
know
where
we're
at.
I
guess
we're!
Okay,
with
the
date.
C
A
All
right
and
any
items
for
next
for
next
meeting.
E
B
Like
a
report
on
what
has
is
happening
to
make
sure
that
everything
is
ready
for
a
possible
opening.
A
A
Yes,
yes,
exactly,
that's
a
good,
thank
you,
mr
elise,
and
that-
and
I
guess
the
possibility
of
looking
into
videos
to
introduce
the
public
again
on
how
things
will
work
in
the
library
once
once,
an
opening
does
come
up
something
to
that
effect
as
well.
B
D
Partnership,
if
always
I
mean,
if
you,
if
you
can't
think
of
anything
now,
but
you
want
to
add
it
just
do
it
before
the
the
friday
before
is
when
we
post.
A
Okay,
all
right:
what
is
the
next
item
in
the
adjournment.
A
Okay,
yes,
anybody
motion
for
an
adjournment.
