are
being
reviewed.

a

in
Spring
Texas
with

they

still
reviewing

designs
as
a
June
and
they're
estimating
what
I
said
a
few
weeks
a
couple
of
weeks.

prior
to

study

the

what
progress
we've
made
that
that

As
far
as
it
stands
right
now,
we
are
a
self-sufficient
entity.
Our
challenge,
just
like
most
transit
agencies
across
the
state,
is
the
capital
needs
and
that's
basically,
the
reason
for
this
item
are
replacing
our
fleet.
That's
the
main
challenge.

past
week,
I
had
the
opportunity
to
attend
to
the
transit,
semiannual,
TxDOT
transit
operators
meeting
and
basically
that
way
you
hear
from
all
the
different
I
want
to
say
about
a
hundred
and
some
directors
that
attended
is
hosted
by
Eric.
Listen,
the
transit
text,
dot
director,
and
that
way
you
hear
from
all
the
different
presentations.
The
challenge
for
all
agencies
is
if
the
capital
needs,
like
I,
said
our
budget
or
the
MNO
it's
covered
by
our
three
mains
revenue
sources,
which
is
our
dedicated
column
cent
sales
tax,
our
federal
funding.

Our
texts
are
many
cell
operation,
our
facility
maintenance,
funding,
friends,
those
are
familiar.
Those
are
based
on
ridership
census,
population
for
the
city,
daughter,
set
a
mono
dollars,
they're,
not
competitive
grant
and
then
our
fare
box
collection.
So
every
time
I
speak
about
a
revenue
you
can
break
basically

We
receive
very
minimum
revenues
from
our
advertisement
partners
and
those
are
both
wraps
that
you
see
and
then
the
Lamar
shelter
advertisement,
that's
very
minimum.

The
funding
of
the
revenues
that
we
can
out
of
that
so,
like
I,
said,
the
situation
that
we
are
is
is
not
Laredo,
that's
basically
across
the
state
and
probably
around
the
United
States.
The
main
challenges
we
place
in
to
flip
and
that's
where
it's
very
limited.
There
are
some
grand
opportunities,
whether
a
t20
match
or
50/50
percent
match,
but
with
our
buses.
Basically,
they
were
hidden.

Almost
a
half
a
million
dollar
each,
the
last
ones
that
we
order
and
that
will
be
paid
through
bonds
by
the
C
Laredo
and
the
transit
system
is
492,
five
or
four
hundred
and
ninety-three
thousand
dollars.
So
we're
saying:
half
a
million
dollar
each
bus
by
2021
we're
going
to
be
at
a
position.
We
need
to
replace
another
eight
buses,
so
the
biggest
challenge
again
is
its
fleet
replacement
and
we
are
pursuing
every
opportunity.
There
is
grants
this
past
week
in
the
meeting.

competitive
grants
monies
for
freight
replacement,
but
it's
very
limited
compared
to
the
needs.

mean
it's
not
gonna,
be
enough
for
all
of
us.
We're
gonna
apply
it's
competitive,

units

this
time
with
this
last
batch
of
buses,
we're
gonna
be
in
a
situation
that
will
continue
services
but
again
the
demand
from
the
public.
The
reason
transit
study
that
was
conducted
and
presented
to
you
all
about
a
year
ago
with
a
resident
or
Colin
forest
form
or
frequency.

So
the
call
from
every
single
study
that's
being
conducted,
at
least
on
my
last
five
years,
is
for
frequency
for
us
to
have
more
presence
on
the
neighborhoods.
That
requires
equipment,
the
fleet
that
we
have
it
covers,
and
it's
ooh
fries
for
the
area
that
will
service
you
right
now,
but
that's
not
what
the
residents,
what
the
constituents
are
calling
they're
calling
for
more
frequency.
They
try
not
to
extend,
but
unfortunately
our
fleet
does
not
allow
for
that.

either
I
wake
up
to
be
at
the
bus
stop
at
7:00
in
the
morning
or
to
be
at
6:00
to
make
it
no
time.
So
it
makes
a
big
difference.
Sometimes,
when
we
have
these
conversations,
people
say
well,
it's
no
big
deal
a
50-minute
that
you
can
add
well.
I
know:
I'm
gonna
hurt
the
rest
of
those
people
that
take
the
bus,
so
likely
I
mean
the
the
presentation
is

the
transit

right

summer

slow
because

schools

LCC

high

far

ridership
compared
to
transit
agencies

the

have

own
challenges,
but
they're.

would

sort

like
the

tap
program,

transportation
alternatives

up
every
year

every
two

where
there's
some
money

huge
amounts
of
money,
although
we've
had
up

million

projects
within,
but
not
for
you
know
like
mine,
buses
and
stuff
like
that.
It'd
be
more
like

bike.

kinds

that's
that's
a
competitive
process,
and
when
we
make
a
call

that
grant,

everybody

money
has
been
used
by
the
policy
committee
for
hike
and
bike
trails
and
things
of
that
nature,
but
it
can
certainly
be
used
for
for
bike
lanes,
and
maybe
we
could
try
it
out
as.

an
application
for
this
last
cultural
projects
about
two
hundred
thousand
dollars
worth
of
improvements
for
bus
stops,

that's
going
to
be
about
25
different

stops

we

improving,

ones
we

and
right

zone

commissioning

challenging
our
consultant
ourselves
to
perform
a
study
on
behalf
of
the
city,
and
we
have
completed
that
study
and
this
presentation
here

the
findings
were

quick
background.

talked
about

the
limits
of
the
study
will
be.

you

understand,

city

the
city
needs
to
contemplate
annexation

Now
it
doesn't
have
to
be
a
straight
line:
I've
seen
TR
Z's,
that's
the
exact
holdover
place
and
follow
the
city
limits,
but
you
got
to
take
advantage
of
the
future
development
that
would
happen
and
you'll
probably
be
in
the
best
interest
of
the
city
to
annex
those
areas.

consultant
back,

we

would
go
through,
it's
not
a
schematic,
but
it's
a
draft
alignment

that
alignment
also
had
public
involvement
back
again
ten
plus
years
ago.

those
landowners

they

are
still
aware
of
that
draft
alive.
Well
and

we
have
the
expansion
of
the
bridge

tip,

is

four
year
plan

nothing

bridge,

everybody's
talking
about

question
still
stands:
why
isn't
it?

even
in
our

had
the

consortium

didn't
get
done,

still
think
you

especially

this
four

five
bridge

you

got
private
monies
that
three
hundred
million
dollars
that
are
willing
to
to
go
after
it
right
now.

utilizing

resources

advance
these
projects
and,
like
I
said
this
is
the
first
step.
The
reason
why
the
fire
bridge,
and
that
isn't
in
a
four-year
discussion
is
because
you
have
to

funding
available

projects

get
into
that
four-year
plan.
Now,
that's
what
I'm
trying
to.

see
right
now,
what
kind
of
revenue
this
generates,
and
so,
if
you,
if
the
city
decides
to
go
whatever
percentage,
they
decide
to
go
with
it's
going
to
tell
you
how
much
more
or
less
of
revenue
doesn't
regenerate
that
you
can
leverage.
You
know.
Hopefully,
future
text
up
money
future
prop
money.
Whatever
money
comes
our
way,
but
it's
a
good
start,
because
before
we
had
nothing,
do
you
have
the
levels
of
touch
the

was

different
scenarios

one
was
based
really
on
historical
data
for
the
most
recent
five
year.
Pattern
of
residential
building
permits
within
the
zone
to
protect
household
growth
and
city
remember
to
combine
the
NPO
ta
Z
for
cats.

So
combines
the
Lorado
NPO
to
traffic
analysis,
owns
forecast
data
with
estimated
home
value
based
on
stakeholder
feedback,
so,
in
addition
to
the
circle
data
in
discussions
with
the
actual
landowners
and
their
major
landowner,
as
long
as
on
the
floor,
consensus
was
South,
Florida
would
begin
attracting
a
more
expensive
housing
per
product.
Then
in
the
past
this
is
scenario

this

scenario
assumes
a
new
home
this
tax
at
about
one
hundred
twenty

thousand

on
2017
numbers.

conservative
