Description
Para Transit Advisory Committee Meeting 011221
B
Yes,
juan
avila.
A
C
C
C
Thank
you,
mr
kavin,
good
afternoon.
Everybody
I'm
sorry
for
the
late
joining
us.
As
we
all
know
we
have.
We
have
work
on
ourselves
to
do
since
we
already
got
the
roll
call
we'll
go
ahead
and
go
to
number.
Two
item
number
three
minutes
approval
of
minutes
for
december
of
2000
december
8
2020
has
everybody
had
a
chance
to
go
over
the
minutes?
A
C
D
C
C
Motion
carries:
do
we
have
any
pup
any
puppet
comments.
C
We'll
go
item
number
five
district
reports
associating
terror
transfers
in
the
radio,
el
metro,
current
and
this
program
complies
with
the
fpa
requirements
for
a
complementary
paratransit
services
as
demand
respond,
share
right
services,
promote
and
dismiss
the
service
information
to
the
entire
service
area.
C
B
Oh,
this
is
for
the
district
reports.
Mr
avila,
each
member
that
is
representing
each
district
has
a
chance
to
bring
up
any
any
reports
that
you
all
might
have.
Okay,
so
you
can
district
1
district
2.
C
C
Are
you
with
us
yes
good
afternoon,
ma'am,
I'm
sorry
for
it's
not
a
good,
not
a
good
thing
for
me
to
be
late
on
the
meeting,
but
I
apologize
to
you.
Thank
you
for
joining
us
to
welcome
aboard.
C
B
District
three
is
actually,
mr,
it's,
mr
juan
avila.
C
C
C
Okay,
quick
question
for
you,
mr
kate,
mr
vice
chair.
Are
you
staying
on
board
with
us?
Is
that
correct
through
mrs.
C
All
right,
sir,
thank
you
and
then
we
have
the
mayor's
petition.
It's
open!
Yes,
it's
vacant!
Okay!
Thank
you!
Okay,
we'll
go
ahead
and
go
along
item
number
six
staff
reports
and
communication.
Mr
sparta,
take
the
lead.
B
Yes,
sir,
thank
you
okay,
so
I'm
gonna
go
ahead
and
start
with
the
ridership
report
for
the
month
of
december
and
ending
it
for
the
year
to
date.
For
the
month
of
december,
we
had
a
total
ridership
of
a
thousand,
a
thousand
six
hundred
and
twenties
twenty
four
riders
and
a
total
of
twenty
five
thousand
six
hundred
and
seventy
six
riders
for
the
whole
year
of
2019.
B
For
the
cancellations
report,
we
had
a
total
of
448
cancellations
for
the
month
of
december.
Out
of
those
cancellations,
we
had
a
total
of
377
cancellations,
309
advanced
cancellations
and
only
68
cancellations.
We
had
a
total
of
no
shows
at
the
door
for
the
month
of
december
and
40
cancellations
through
the
phone
system.
B
B
The
fixed
rate,
mobility
device
boarding
report,
shows
a
total
of
64
wheelchair
passengers
for
the
month
of
december,
and
this
is
just
to
to
explain
that
this
is
for
the
crowd
bus
system.
B
The
the
last
report
will
be
the
end
of
the
month
registered
customers
for
the
lift
prior
transit
department.
We
have
a
total
of
650
registered
customers
and
for
the
month
of
december,
we
only
had
four
customers
that
we
were
able
to
register.
C
B
F
E
Okay,
so,
basically
good
good
afternoon
for
the
record.
The
expenses
for
november
shows
7
000
404
for
operations,
supporting
unions
and
admin
and
maintenance.
E
C
There
is
still
a
lot
of
people.
The
pandemia
is
currently
out
of
control
and
we
know
that
and
we
know
that
the
numbers
are
high.
The
risk
is
tremendously
terrible.
I
mean
just
terrible
to
be
honest
with
you
right
now,
and
you
know
I
know
it's
something
off
the
transit.
I
have
four
family
members,
my
five-year-old
my
eight-year-old
grandsons.
C
C
Is
there
a
possible
way
that
the
paratransit
personnel,
if
we
don't
have
to
be
included,
that's
fine,
but
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
we
don't
miss
a
single
spot
or
attempt
to
try
to
get
people
the
transportation
that
they
need
to
get
this
done
for
them
as
you've
known
you've
seen
the
numbers
everybody.
I.
C
They've
seen
the
numbers
they've
seen
the
elderly
people
that
we
are,
you
know
losing,
and
I
would
just
hate
to
find
out.
You
know
I'm
not
hate,
but
let
me
rephrase
that
I
would
feel
badly
that,
because
of
no
transportation,
that
person
could
not
go,
get
their
vaccine
done
for
lack
of
transportation.
B
Yes,
we
we
can
mr
avila
currently
right
now:
they're,
not
letting,
as
for
city
orders,
we're
not
they're,
not
letting
us
visit
any
other
departments
or
have
any
face-to-face
meetings,
but
we
will
inquire
and
we
will
ask
the
public
access
channel
and
we
can
report
back
on
the
next
meeting.
C
C
Okay,
I
would
appreciate
it
very
much.
Yes,
any
any
discussion
on
that
item
that
I'm
trying
to
put
for
the
next
agenda,
mr
chairman,
or
any
other
board
member.
A
C
Like
an
update,
I
think
it's
in
the
best.
Yes,
I
would
mister
my
shirt.
Let's
put
it
into
a
motion
that
way
we
can
go
ahead
and
have
a
set
for
the
record.
C
I
would
like
to
make
a
motion
for
us
to
get
an
update
within
the
next
two
weeks
and
then
the
final
report
on
the
next
board
meeting.
As
far
as
what
can
we
do
to
try
for
a
psa
to
be
done
to
inform
the
public.
C
B
C
And-
and
I'm
sorry
I
don't
know
if
it's
me,
but
I'm
having
a
hard
time
hearing
for
some
reason
who
will
second
it.
I'm
sorry.
C
A
B
Yes,
okay,
let
me
proceed
to
the
we're
already
on
the
maintenance
status
report.
Correct.
C
B
The
total
percentage
of
pmis
on
time
was
100
and
for
the-
and
this
is
for
the
for
the
fixed
route
buses,
the
miles
traveled
was
145
thousand
hundred
forty
five
thousand
and
all
the
pmis
were
also
done
at
a
hundred
percent
and
the
miles
between
road
calls
and
for
the
lyft
department
was
about
7654
and
for
the
lyft
department
there
was
a
total
of
137
505
miles.
Traveled
I'm
going
to
try
to
share
miss
javila,
we're
gonna
my
screen
here.
B
D
D
C
G
No
sandy
just
went
ahead
and
put
some
together
for
y'all
to
get
a
visual
of
what
we're
doing.
There
was
a
station
set
up
by
the
island.
I
can't
show
you
which
one
it
is
sandy.
Could
you
show
the
inside
of
the
table.
D
B
The
units,
I
type,
it's
a
cart
and
it's
holding
two
two
spray
bottles
and
they
were
put
together
they're
quite
by
el
metro.
B
For
for
the
van
drivers
to
have
access
to
in
case
you
know,
so
they
can
have
access
to
cleaning
the
vehicle
in
between
trips
at
any
time
of
day,
not
necessarily
calling
in
maintenance
personnel
to
come
and
help
them
so
that
that
way
they
have
those
two
spares
accessible
to
them
at
all
times,
and-
and
this
was
a
a
request
made
by
all
by
the
safety
and
planning
advisory
committee-
and
it's
the
safety
advisory
committee
is
made
up
of
union
members,
both
from
maintenance
and
operations,
department
and
administrative
staff,
and
they
hold
monthly
meetings,
and
this
was
recommended
by
one
of
the
members
so
and
metro
took
a
quick
action
and
and
implemented
implemented
these
this
new
station.
D
And
is
this
done
I'm
reading
here
it's
they're
sprayed
down
after
or
in
between
trips,
correct,
so
that's
available
to
them
at
any
any
time
that
they
come
through
correct.
G
G
D
And
and
inside
those
two
gallon
sprayers
that
are
there,
is
that
something
that's
pre-mixed?
That's
or
the
do
the
drivers
pre-mix
it
or
is
it
something
that's
already
there
for
them?
So
it's
not
just
I'm
assuming
it's
not
just
water,
it's
probably
some
type
of
solution.
Yes,.
G
It
is,
I
really
don't
know
the
name
of
it,
but
maintenance
is
the
one
that
that
that
fills
up
those
jobs
and
with
that
they
they
do
a
pre-mix
very.
G
Same
process
is
done
on
the
fixed
route
on
all
the
buses.
We
do
have
staff
sanitizing
or
cleaning
all
the
buses
and
every
single
trip
every
time
it
goes
into
the
transit
center.
Before
you
know
the
people
d
board
before
they
board,
it
is
cleaned
by
the
the
staff
there
and
that's
from
when
we
open
to
when
we
close
all
day.
D
Now
are
we
still
separating
or
segregating
the
seats
or
or
are
we
not
doing
that
anymore?
No,.
B
D
B
Gomez,
this
is
an
added
step
for
cleaning
as
soon
as
the
vans
return
from
service.
So,
as
you
see
on
on
the
document
that
I
provided
you're
going
to
see
our
maintenance
personnel
cleaning
the
van
already,
but
this,
but
this
alternative
solution
that
you
know
that
was
implemented.
It's
just
an
added
step
for
for
our
employees
as
well.
So
cleaning
is
done
already
by
maintenance
department,
as
you
can
see,
but
this
is
just
an
added
step
for
them.
B
The
solution
that
is
provided
for
them,
that
to
disinfect
or
to
clean,
is
all
recommended
by
cdc
all
the
cleaning
solution,
chemicals
and
everything.
B
Okay,
so
that
that's
what
we
wanted
to
show,
mr
gomez,
for
for
that,
for
that,
for
the
cleaning
of
our
ltm
revenue
vehicles,
report.
D
B
C
C
We
have
tabled
this
item,
mr
chair,
mr
vice
chair
and
board
members,
and
it
was
the
change
of
date
and
the
time
of
meetings
we
had
already.
I
believe
we
had
tabled
this
item
due
to
the
fact
that
we
were
waiting
for
the
new
administrate
station
as
far
as
council
members
should
come
in
on
board
and
ones
that
were
gonna
stay
on
board
with
us.
C
I
know
that
we've
been
having
a
hard
time,
but
are
we
still
going
to
keep
tuesdays
at
5
30?
The
meetings
and,
let's
open
up
a
discussion?
Let
me
hear
from
everybody
so
we'll
be
all
in
the
same
agreement,
along
with
staff
from
el
metro.
D
Yes,
mr
chair,
if
I
may
I
I
recommend
that,
since
we're
still
not,
we
still
don't
have
our
all
of
our
slots
for
the
committee
members,
I
think
it
would
be
premature
for
us
to
decide
until
we
get
most,
if
not
all,
of
the
slots
filled
from
committee
members
before
I
think
we
make
a
decision.
I
think
it
should
be
something
that
we
all
agree
with,
not
just
for
ones
that
are
present.
That's
just
my
opinion.
A
Mr
chairman,
I
tend
to
agree
with
that
because
I
mean
there's
really
only
four
of
us,
so
if
we
do
make
the
decision
that
it's
not
really
even
a
majority
of
us
here
yet,
but
as
I
understand
it,
we
should
get
like
one
or
two
more
coming
up.
Is
that
correct,
miss
espresso.
B
D
Mr
chairman,
if
I,
if
I
may
also
just
just
to
put
this
out
there
to
the
group,
the
the
I
know,
I'm
thinking
ahead,
I'm
trying
to
think
ahead
anyway,
even
if
once
we
get
past
the
pandemic,
I
personally
would
not
be
opposed
to
holding
meetings
such
as
this,
because
I
certainly
don't
want
to
miss
any
more
meetings
and,
as
you
all
recall,
I
was
missing
something
because
my
when
I'm
back
in
my
normal
work
schedule,
I
travel
quite
a
bit.
D
Maybe
it's
I'm
getting
better
myself,
but
just
something
to
consider
you
know
we
may
put
these
face
to
face
in
the
future,
or
maybe
we
can
do
the
people
who
cannot
be
there
face
to
face
to
do
it
in
this
fashion.
I
I
honestly,
I
prefer
these
type
of
meetings,
the
ones
that
we're
having
now
but
again
that's
up
to
the
committee
and
the
and
the
members.
D
C
And
let
me
let
me
put
my
my
my
side
of
that
on
that
comment.
I
think
to
be
honest
with
you
in
the
best
interest
for
us,
for
everybody
not
to
miss
a
meeting,
and
I'm
not
saying
you
know,
don't
miss,
I
mean
there's
emergencies
for
everybody,
but
as
you're
stating
you
know,
I
think
it's
in
the
best
interest
honestly
to
get
to
keep
them.
Even
though
that
we
can
go
back.
C
We
can
log
in
at
any
place
that
we're
at
for
whatever
reason
like
I'm
still
I'm
still
at
work,
but
I
put
myself
out
from
one
office
to
another
to
go
ahead
and
you
know
do
this
meeting,
but
I
can
log
in
I
didn't
have
to
run
all
the
way
downtown
running
late
and
stuff
like
that.
So
to
me
it
would
be
great
to
keep
him
like
this
to
be
honest
with
you,
but
then
I
get
like
he
said
it's
up
to
the
rest
of
the
board.
C
A
Catherine,
all
right,
I
agree
as
well.
I
mean
the
flexibility
that
this
allows.
The
only
thing
that
we're
missing
out
on
are
all
those
wonderful
snacks
that
we
used
to
get.
B
F
Just
mr
chairman
and
and
staff
and
the
rest
of
the
members
good
afternoon,
I
just
wanted
to
to
put
out
a
a
request
or
for
your
consideration.
I'm
really
appreciating
the
suggestion
by
mr
gomez
to
to
possibly
hold
all,
if
not
some
of
the
meetings
in
this
same
mode,
I
believe
in
and
I
agree
it
is
more
convenient
and
at
the
time
being
it
is
safer.
F
So
I
believe
that
that's
that's
a
great
suggestion
for
the
time
being,
I
will
also
consider
like
for
you
to
consider
maybe
doing
a
hybrid.
Maybe
you
know
once
things
get
better,
maybe
you
want
to
do
one
virtual
and
then
we
can
do
one
in
person,
something
like
that
just
to
to
keep
that,
hopefully
again
when
it's
safe,
we
can
continue
that
one-on-one
conversations
and
and
definitely
the
snacks
provided
by
the
metro.
We
don't
want
to
miss
on
those.
F
So
I
really
really
appreciate
that
for
that
to
be
considered
and
and
also,
if
possible,
to
move
one
meeting
possibly
by,
I
want
to
recommend
at
noon
time,
possibly
during
lunch,
so
again,
just
for
you
to
consider
that
maybe
one
could
be
held.
F
Possibly
this
way
virtually
at
noon
and
then,
like
you,
know,
one
on
odd
ones,
do
it
on
the
unknown
and
then
the
even
months
do
it
in
the
afternoon,
and
this
will
help
us
from
the
administrative
standpoint,
with
the
overtime
and
and
things
like
that
for
the
staff
that
has
to
to
stay
behind.
F
But
more
than
anything,
because
my
experience
with
other
committees
in
reference
to
attendance
is
that
it
gets
hard
to
get
everybody
to
attend
in
the
afternoons.
I
mean
everybody
has
family
commitments
and
things
of
that
nature,
so
it
makes
it
harder
so
again
just
for
consideration
if
we
can
definitely
continue
with
the
virtual
meeting.
F
For
the
time
being,
we
can
do
hybrids
one
and
one,
and
if
possible,
we
can
schedule
one
at
noon
and
then
the
following
month
in
the
afternoons
and
again
it's
all
on
the
table
for
whatever
you
decide.
I
just
wanted
to
to
put
that
request
on
the
table
for
consideration
once
the
decision
is
going
to
be
made.
Thank
you.
C
C
A
I
believe
so
I
believe
that
was
a
a
suggestion.
I
don't
think
we've
made
him
quite
a
motion
for
this
one,
but
I
believe
mr
gomez
had
suggested
it,
but
did
you
make
it
in
the
form
of
emotion?
I
did
not.
D
Okay,
I
guess
I
I'd
like
to
place
a
motion
on
the
floor
to
table
that
item
until
we
get
a
full
quarrel,
one
hour,
full
quarrel,
the
more
committee
members
in
their
slots.
So
I'd
like
to
table
that,
mr
chairman.
C
Yes,
sir,
we'll
go
ahead
and
make
we've
got
a
motion
on
the
on
the
floor
to
table
the
item
for
change
the
date
and
time
of
meetings.
Do
I
have
a
second
second
second
by
by
share
any
discussion,
everybody
in
agreement,
saying
signify
by
saying
I
I
I
motion,
carries
thank
you.
The
item
will
be
tabled.
C
Okay,
we
don't
have
what
goes
to
the
next
item.
Item
number
eight
executive
session.
I
believe
we
don't
have
anything
before
I
close
before
I
go
to
number
nine.
I
would
like
to
please
say
the
following
again
on
behalf
of
all
the
board
staff
members,
mr
miguel,
mr
sparta
and
everybody
in
minnesota.
C
Thank
you
so
much.
I
know
it's
not
easy
out
there
right
now.
I
know
that
you,
you
know,
go
through
a
lot.
There's
a
lot
of
stress
going
on
on
everybody's
household.
C
We
do
pray
for
everybody.
We
keep
our
prayers
open
for
everybody.
Please
keep
everybody
safe,
keep
yourself
safe
and
best
wishes
to
all,
hopefully
not
sounding
rude,
and
maybe
I'm
out
of
order,
but
hopefully
mr
trump
can
take
this
covet
with
him
and
go
leave
it
in
russia
or
somewhere
else,
but
we
need
to
get
back
to
to
you
know
reality.
C
We
need
to
get
back
to
safe
and
you
know
prayers
for
all
of
you.
Thank
you.
So
much
for
all
you
do
and
for
keeping
us
posted
on
everything.
That's
going
on
any
other
comments
from
any
other
board
member.
Please.
