misnomer

whole
area.

you

little
bit

history,
Kirby
downtown
is
defined
the
eastern
boundary
of
downtown
is
that
cut
the

how
it's
been
defined
for
years
in
the
city
of
Laredo.

understand
how
that
would
sound
like
a
misnomer,
but
for
the

see

well

this
gets
used
elsewhere,
because
some
zones
are
only
permitted
with
the
future
land
use
designation
that
corresponds

it.

the
past
it
was
thought
that
we
wanted
zoning
that
was
higher
density
and,

so
this
was
applied
to
it
in
order
to
to
make
sure
that
it
would
correspond
with
it
appropriately.

are
some
of
the
things
we're
looking
at
cleaning
up,
so
you're
gonna
see
things
like
little
things
like
this,
and
there
are
others
that
we've
come
across,
we're
making
note
of
those
when
they
occur,
and
when
we
go
through

process

updating
line
development
code
and
the
future
land
use
map
the
thoroughfare
plan.
These
are
things
that
we're
trying
to
fix,
and
you
know
they're
always
being
improvements
need
to
be
made.
We're
noting
this

approval
decision
or
the
staff
support
decision
based
on
a
downtown
density,

agree

area

treated

density
area

agree

based

many
factors

there
aren't
congruent

of
our
future
land-use
categories
will
have
several
zones
fall
within
them.
What
the
applicant
is
proposing
would
also
be
something
that
would
fall

neighborhood
mixed-use
as
well.

know
they're
not
proposing
high
density,
multifamily
and
they're,
proposing
more
low
density,
multi-family
or
medium
dense,
multifamily,
something
that
would
be
would
be
available
as
well.

that
we
base
our
recommendations
off
many
things
and
we
try.

last

said
that
the
change

the
zoning
does
not
confirm

had
passed

that

only

think

need
to
be
consistent
