Last
or
two
months
ago,
we
were
given
a
certificate
of
appropriateness
to
put
windows
in,
on
the
second
floor,
for
an
apartment
that
for
inner
city
dwelling
that
we're
putting
on
the
second
floor
of
the
building.
So
we're
asking
for
help
with
those
windows
and
also
we're
asking
for
help
for
the
west
side
of
the
building
facing
broadway,
the
roofers
that
we
had
put
up
the
soffit
or
not
to
stop
it,
but
the
gutter
board
wrapped
it
in
aluminum,
but
didn't
do
a
very
good
job
and
it's
buckled.

post
to
that
was
put
in
to
protect
the
building
from
the
trucks
and
semis
that
were
turning
the
corner
that
were
kept,
knocking
the
corner
of
the
garage
ceiling
off.
So
the
city
gave
us
permission
for
larry
to
put
in
some
post
there,
but
somebody,
I'm
sure,
damaged
their
truck
when
they
hit
the
post,
because
it's
mounted
in
concrete
and
it
split
the
wood
so
we're
trying
to
put
new
barn
wood
or
appropriate
wood
around
it
to
replace
where
that
was
taken
off.

And
then
I
talked
to
nicole
we're
asking
for
some
more
or
adding
to
that
proposal.
If
possible,
we've
just
been
in
the
process
of
moving
into
the
front
part
of
the
building
and
realized
that
we
have
some
unwanted
visitors
by
bats,
and
we
have
tried
to
seal
some
areas
up
with
the
pest
proof,
foam
and
it
worked
for
a
while,
but
they
just
moved
down
and
are
coming
in
different
areas
throughout
the
exterior
up
by
the
gutter
board.

what
larry
has
proposed
to
try
to
solve
the
bats
from
coming
into
the
building,
so
there's
actually
four
areas
that
we're
asking
for
help
with
the
windows
and
faux
balconies
that'll,
be
on
the
second
floor,
the
gutter
board.
On
the
west
side,
the
new
wood
wrap
around
the
protective
post
in
the
alley
and
then
help
with
the
bats.

haven't

about

and
this
is
really
for

We
do
have
a
matrix
of
questions
that
we
ask

hearing

clarification

our

we

scoring,

there's

couple
of
different
types
of
grants
and
they
have
different
scoring
elements.

have
to
be
awarded

a
given
project
for
it
to
qualify
and
then
once
we
get
above
that,
then,
based

really
kind

becomes
a
competitive
issue.

that
they've
been
accepting

recommendations
pretty
much
universally.

don't
know
that
I'm
aware
of
them

declined
any
of
our
recommendations,
but
it

board
of
public
works,

monday

that
determination
and
you
all
don't
need
to
be
at
that
meeting.

this
meeting
tonight,
we'll
average
the
scores
together
and
then
we'll
make
a
recommendation
by
committee
vote
to
the
board
of

the
board,
and
then
they
mon
mundi
will
take
up
that
matter
and
accept

recommendation

decline
it
as
a
case
may
be,
but
as
I
say,
they
have
not
declined
any
of
our
recommendations.

funding
going

is
generally
that
eastern
section
of
downtown
and
a
piece
of
the
western
section
of
downtown
the
center
of
the
downtown
generally
is
in

area

city

funding

this
year
and
then
every
year
we
we
review
the
targeted
area
and
potentially
move
it
or
not,
as
the
case
may
be,
depending
on
where
we
see

need
for
the
majority

improvements

in
the
targeted

been
deteriorated

extensive
water
damage,

also
caused
the
floor.
Joists
to
rot
and

back
addition

covered
with
mold
and
has
severe
water
damage.
So
we'd
like
to
remove
the
east
wall,
take
down
the
back
addition
replace
it
and
then
continue
the
roof
line
to
match
up
with
the
bottom.

there
started
looking

gutters
they've
never
been
redone
they've
just
been
covered
up
several

we
get
there

flashing
can't
do
any
of
the
flashing
without
the
chimney
being
taken
down
and
relayed.

and

need

need

of

on
this
house.

canopy

testing

There
is
brick
covering
a
transom
over
the
door,
someone
laid
up
well,
that's
now:
it's
damaged
the
door,
it's
damaging

door
frame
and
starting
to
do

opened

struggled

and
it's
like,
oh
so
now.

think
the
door
is
busted.

I'm
not
very
happy
about

bug

restore

picked

liked

antique

sashes

use
period
correct
materials,

going
to
restore
the
windows
in
the
building
and
then
there
are
two
sets
of
double
doors
that
are
just
impressive.

heck

doors
that
they
brought
merchandise
in
and
that's
off
walnut
street.
Then
there
are
the
two
doors
in
the
front
that

right.

at
an

those
doors

taken

going

restore
those
doors
back
to
as
close
to
original.

It
goes
across

entire
front

building,
so
that
gets
redone
and
then

other
giant
thing
on
it

the

floor
replacement

joyster

my

apartments

neighborhood

cars

wife

madison

unique
one

convert

grocery
store

project

our
property
has

bought

we've
talked

the
past
about
the
paul
brun
grant
funds.
I
had
a
meeting
with
the
national
park
service
between
this
meeting
and

last
meeting

talk

grant
funds.
That
project
cannot
start
work
even
creating
the
guidelines
or
anything
until
october
1st,
so
those
funds
are
not
available.

right
to
make
changes

any

stuff.
They

to
approve
both
the
guidelines
scoring
application.
They
also
have
to
approve
all
applications
after
you
approve
it.
So
looking
forward
to
getting
that
started,

likely

funds
will
probably

be
available
till
spring
next
year.

assist
financially
uneligible
people
from
applying,
so
we
asked
for
funding
for
that,
but
we
also
asked
that
we
would
be
able
to
consider
dilepted
structures
in
order
to
expand
on
that
program.

foresee

our
applications
going
to
those
who
cannot
financially
afford
the
match.
