is
seeking
a
off
sale,
distilled

license.
They
already
hold
licenses
related
to
their
distillery
cocktail
room.
This
was
first
made
available
because
of
the
state
law
change
and
the
City
Council
change
that
allowed
this.
They
will
be
allowed
to
have
hours
of
operation
for
the
off
sale,
distilled
spirits
of
8am
to
10pm
monday
through
saturday,
the
same
as
all
off
sale,
liquor
stores
they
do
not
are
not
afforded
the
right
to
be
able
to
have
off
sale
Sundays.
D
We
did
a
public
hearing.
We
notified
all
residents
and
property
owners
within
600
feet.
The
Longfellow
Neighborhood
Association,
the
38th
in
Chicago
Business
Association
in
the
lake
street
council.
We
received
two
responses
from
that
notification
and
both
were
in
support
of
the
application
and
staffs
recommendation
is
to
approve,
are.
A
A
D
Chair,
we
have
an
application
by
fair
state,
brewing
cooperative,
which
is
located
at
25,
06,
central
avenue,
northeast
and
they're,
seeking
approval
to
expand
their
on
sale,
liquor
tap
room
license
to
include
a
patio
off
the
rear
of
their
their
establishment.
This
will
have
picnic
bench
style
tables
with
the
seating
capacity
of
64
persons.
D
D
D
It's
located
in
a
neighborhood
commercial
node,
with
a
high
density
of
residential
properties,
approximately
80
feet
across
the
alley
and
behind
them
they
will
not
be
using
any
amplified
sound
or
musical
instruments
in
this
rear
area.
In
the
outdoor
area.
You
do
intend
to
have
games
in
this
outdoor
area
of
being
bagged,
washer
toss
things
like
that.
They
have
agreed
to
have
those
games
cease
during
the
week
at
10pm
and
by
11pm
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
D
We
did
a
public
hearing
notification
process,
we
mailed
252
notices
to
residents
and
property
owners
within
600
feet.
We
hand
posted
the
multiple,
multiple
tenant
buildings
in
that
perimeter
we
notified
the
Holly
neighborhood
association
in
the
Northeast
Minneapolis
Chamber
of
Commerce.
We
received
14
responses
from
that
mailing
fiber
and
support.
9
are
opposed
in
reviewing
the
opposed
responses.
Most
of
them
are
related
to
parking
in
reviewing
those
responses.
D
It
appeared
that
they
are
concerned
that
this
business
might
absorb
a
lot
of
the
on
street
parking,
which
isn't
required
and,
of
course,
is
shared
by
all
businesses
that
use
the
front
Central
Avenue.
This
application
does
meet
all
the
requirements
of
our
ordinances
and
staffs
recommendation
is
to
approve,
are.

Mr.

thank.
D
You,
madam
chair,
as
you
may
recall,
the
previous
cycle
of
this
committee
on
May
nineteenth,
we
held
a
public
hearing
for
an
amendment
that
to
chapter
3,
60
100
of
the
Minneapolis
code
that
regulates
all
outdoor
areas
where
alcohol
is
served.
This
chapter
has
multiple
sections
that
establish
rules
for
outdoor
act,
all
purposes,
including
the
entertainment,
sound
levels,
hours
of
operation,
maintenance
and
accessibility,
and
this
chapter
provides
the
City,
Council,
significant
latitude
and
restricting
activity
in
outdoor
liquor
areas
based
upon
their
proximity
to
residential
uses
if
they
create
negative,
secondary
effects
for
neighborhood
properties,
etc.
A
A
C
Hello,
chair
Goodman
and
members
of
the
committee.
The
amendment
before
you
today
is
just
basically
simple,
clean
up
of
some
ordinance
language
to
make
sure
that
we
have
the
authority
that
we
need
through
our
delegation
agreements
with
the
Department
of
Health,
and
we
don't
anticipate
that
this
will
affect
any
of
our
licensed
businesses.
A
Okay,
are
there
any
questions
for
staff?
This
is
a
public
hearing,
so
I'm
going
to
have
to
open
the
public
hearing
on
item
number
12,
which
is
adding
or
deleting
language
to
remove
conflicts
with
minnesota
statutes
and
rules
to
bring
us
into
compliance.
Is
there
anyone
here
to
speak
to
this
issue
anyway?
A
Anyone
seeing
none,
I'll,
move
approval
of
item
number
12
and
the
staff
recommendation
all
in
favor
signify
by
saying
aye
any
opposed.
That
item
is
approved.
There
is
no
further
business
on
our
agenda
today.
I
will
just
note
for
members
of
the
committee.
The
June
23rd
agenda
does
not
look
like
this.
It
has
a
number
of
additional
items,
including
a
number
of
public
hearings.
I
would
just
urge
you
to
plan
on
your
schedules
accordingly,
so
you
know
seeing
no
further
business
before
us.
We
are
adjourned.
