B
Good
afternoon,
welcome
to
this
live
broadcast
of
a
virtual
meeting
of
the
september
28
2021
regular
meeting
of
the
minneapolis
heritage
preservation.
Commission.
This
meeting
includes
the
remote
participation
of
members
as
authorized
under
minnesota
statute,
section
13d
.021,
due
to
the
declared
local
health
pandemic
for
the
record,
my
name
is
madeleine
sundberg
and
I
serve
as
chair
of
the
minneapolis
heritage
preservation.
Commission.
A
Commissioner
bjornberg
president
commissioner,
booty
present,
commissioner
howard,
will
not
be
joining
us
this
evening.
Commissioner
johnson
president.
B
B
Our
first
order
of
business
to
adopt
the
agenda
for
this
meeting
will
work
for
the
agendas
that
are
available
online.
I
will
go
through
the
agenda
and
sort
out
what
items
be
continued
to
a
future
meeting.
What
items
will
be
discussed
and
what
items
will
be
put
on
the
consent
agenda
to
be
approved,
as
recommended
by
staff
and
without
further
discussion
item
number
four,
which
is
2901
brookwood,
terrace
ward
one.
This
is
a
landmark
nomination
has
been
recommended
for
consent.
B
B
Don't
see
any
at
this
time,
item
number
five
is
six
one:
four
and
six:
two:
six:
ninth
street
south
ward,
seven!
This
is
the
nomination
for
the
designation
of
a
landmark.
This
item
will
also
be
on
consent.
Unless
someone
wants
to
speak
in
opposition
to
or
modify
the
staff
recommendation
again.
Commissioners
is
there
anyone
who
would
like
to
speak
on
item
number
five.
B
B
Okay,
so
the
proposed
agenda
is
that
the
consent
agenda
will
include
item
number
four,
two:
nine
zero
one,
brookwood
terrace
and
item
number
five,
six,
one
four
through
626
9th
street
south
is
again:
is
there
any
opposition
to
staff
recommendations
for
these
items
or
anyone
from
the
public
who
wishes
to
speak
in
opposition
to
these
items?
If
you
could
press
star
6-
and
let
me
know
that
you
are
there.
B
B
B
B
Thank
you.
The
minutes
are
approved
before
I
open
this
hearing
to
public
comments.
Let
me
summarize
the
process
for
conducting
this
public
hearing
in
this
virtual
format.
The
process
for
the
public
hearing
is
as
follows.
First,
we
act
on
the
consent
agenda
that
we
just
set
once
items
on
the
consent.
Agenda
are
approved
and
the
question
is
done
with
those
items.
Applicants
may
contact
planning
staff
tomorrow
about
next
steps.
After
the
consensus
items
are
approved,
we
take
each
remaining
item
in
order
since
everything's
on
the
consent
agenda
doesn't
really
apply
for
tonight.
B
So
after
public
comments
are
complete,
I
will
close
the
hearing.
Commissioners
will
deliberate
and
act
on
the
applications
before
us,
so
I
will
now
open
the
public
hearing
on
the
consent
agenda
items
again.
B
A
B
Okay,
seeing
none
I
will
close
the
public
hearing
on
the
consent
agenda
items.
Commissioners,
may
I
have
a
motion
to
approve
staff
findings
and
recommendations
for
these
items.
B
B
Thank
you
items
four,
which
is
again
2901
brookwood
terrace
and
five,
which
is
614
to
626
9th
street
south,
are
approved,
as
recommended
by
staff
on
the
agenda,
I'd
like
to
say
that
I'm
excited
to
see
us
moving
forward
with
these
designation
studies
for
these
historic
landmarks.
It's
always
exciting
to
see
more
properties
come
forward.
So
thank
you
for
bringing
your
properties
forward.
We
appreciate
it.
The
applicants
for
those
items
may
contact
planning
staff
tomorrow
about
next
steps.
A
B
B
I
would
like
to
say
that
the
aia
minnesota
conference
is
currently
available
for
registration
and
I
am
excited
to
say
that
we
were
able
to
get
the
the
folks
who
did
the
deconstruction
ordinance
for
hennepin
county
to
do
a
presentation
there
and
there's
a
few
other
preservation
talks
that
are
gonna
happen.
I'm
pretty
excited
to
see
that
so,
if
you're
interested,
I
realize
it
is
on
the
pricier
side,
so
yeah
I
get
that.
B
One
of
the
keynotes,
though,
is
free
to
the
public
majora
carter,
which
should
be
really
exciting
discussion
on
equity
and
architecture,
so
I'd
recommend
checking
that
out.
If
you
want
to
it
comes
up
in
a
few
weeks,
any
other
commissioners
items.
B
Okay,
with
that,
we
have
completed
all
items
on
the
agenda
for
this
meeting
I'll
ask
members
and
staff
if
there
are
any
other
matters
to
come
before
this
meeting
there
being
no
other
business.
This
meeting,
if
not
without
objection,
I
will
declare
this
meeting
adjourned.
The
next
regular
meeting
of
the
hpc
is
october
12
2021..
Thank
you.
Everyone.
