A
Thanks,
commissioner
kobia,
is
there
any
discussion
before
the
clerk
calls
the
role.
F
This
isn't
discussion,
but
this
is
commissioner
focus
wanted
to
say
just
hopped
on.
I
was
having
some
issues
with
teams
so
just
wanted.
It
sounds
like
we
haven't
made
roll
call
yet,
but
just
wanted
to
note
that.
G
Oh
yeah
is,
would
it
be
possible
to
just
add
a
line
item
for
new
and
or
old
business
to
the
agenda.
A
A
Where
has
that
typically
been
in
the
order
of
things?
Let's
say
we
can
do
that
before
discussion
or
commissioner
laura?
Do
the
thought
behind
that.
G
I
I
don't
maybe
after
the
committee
reports,
maybe
guessing.
A
So
we,
I
see
a
line
item
for
a
new
and
old
business
requested
at
the
end
of
the
reports
and
then
yeah
the
public
comment
option
which
is
usually
let
me
see
my
secret
number.
A
I'm
hearing
none
I'll,
ask
the
clerk
to
call
the
role
on
the
motion
to
adopt
the
agenda
with
the
suggested
amendments
and
then
how
can
we
make
sure
that
those
amendments
do
get
made.
A
Okay
yeah:
can
we
so
seeing
no
discussion
for
the
motion
ahead
of
us
I'll
ask
the
clerk
to
call
the
rule.
E
H
I
D
A
Thank
you
with
hearing
that
the
emotion
is
passed
and
the
agenda
is
adopted.
Next
is
the
acceptance
of
minutes
from
the
september
20th
2021
meeting?
May
I
please
have
a
motion
to
accept
the
minutes.
E
K
H
I
B
I
J
C
A
Okay,
yes,
and
item
4
on
the
agenda
is
the
discussion
regarding
the
meeting
that
commissioners
devinish
and
myself
and
city
staff
kayla
was
a
part
of
so
yeah
we'll
be
discussing
the
conversation
that
we
had
with
the
intergovernmental
relations
regarding
the
african-american
preservation
act,
but
yeah
so
I'll
invite.
I
I
don't
believe
commissioner
devinish
is
with
us.
A
I
do
open
the
floor,
but
I
would
like
to
just
share
some
of
the
things
that
we
did
discuss
with
the
igr,
so
that
was
a
good
meeting
that
we
were
able
to
have
just
to
see
where
things
were
at
now.
We
did
learn
that
the
it
did
not
the
bill
did
not
pass
through
legislature
and
then
so
I
have
some
information
about
that
too.
So
I'll
skip
to
that.
A
It
was
a
lot
about
the
constitutionality
where
some
of
the
holdups-
and
you
know
I
think
that
was
a
suggestion
that
that
will
remain.
You
know
as
an
attempt
to
undermine
the
legislation.
That's
something
that's
been
heard
continuously,
but
the
fight
remains
hennepin.
County
has
already
even
is
the
lead
on
the
legislation
and
they
are
adopting
this
into
their
child
protection
work.
Actually,
this
week
I
actually
saw
in
a
social
work
position.
A
They
were
having
social
workers
join,
their
african-american
preservation
act,
team
to
be
working
with
african-american
families,
and
so
that
that's
some
interesting
information
just
on
the
side
of
like
putting
it
into
practice
and
how
we're
supporting
families.
But
one
thing
is,
we
didn't
see
the
bill
on
the
agenda,
and
so
that
was
concerning
for
us
and
they
let
us
know
that
they
don't
put
every
bill
on
the
agenda.
Otherwise,
they'd
be
making
edits
a
lot,
but
that
is
something
that
they
continued
to
work
towards
and
we
had.
A
A
You
know
holding
very
powerful
chair
in
the
house,
finance
committee
and
so
there's
a
lot
of
abilities
with
that
to
be
able
to
see
where
we
could
push
into
supporting
this
legislation
and
supporting
the
legislators
that
are
advancing
and
really
working
closely
with
this
bill.
A
They
also
talked
about
setting
up
a
meeting
with
chair
moran
or
some
writing
letters
to
the
hhs
committee
or
minneapolis
delegation,
and
then
yeah
they're
mentioned
like
there's.
A
few
contacts
that
we
could
connect
with
like
representative
ibaje
and
represent
representative
hassan,
are
of
people
that
are
in
the
senate
in
the
house.
That
would
be
supportive
and
people
that
would
we'd
be
able
to
talk
to
to
see
more
information
about.
You
know
how
to
support
this
bill
and
how
do
we
get
this
bill
into
action?
A
So
that
was
a
lot
of
the
conversation
that
we
had
again
a
lot
as
the
bill
did
not
pass,
has
not
passed
yet,
but
I
I
will
say
that
the
work
is
is
definitely
advancing
in
the
community
and
we
can
see
that
even
with
some
of
the
new
child
protection
positions
that
have
opened
up
to
really
target
this
work.
C
A
If
there
was
anyone
else
that
was
in
there,
that
has
any
other
comments
they'd
like
to
make,
but
if
there's
any
questions
from
commissioners,
I'd
love
to
open
the
floor
for
that
as
well.
H
This
is
commissioner
of
hearts.
I
just
want
to
say
I'm
sorry
to
hear
that
the
bill
didn't
pass
in
the
state
house,
but
I
want
to
thank
everybody
on
the
commission
who
who
worked
on
this
for
for
their
heart
and
it's
it's
good
to
see
it.
Making
progress
in
hennepin,
county.
A
We
have
is
item
five
and
it's
regarding
a
discussion
for
the
meeting
that
we
had
with
the
office
of
violence
prevention
regarding
the
gun,
violence
task
force
that
we
really
proclaimed
in
our
proc,
our
resolution
to
declare
gun
violence
day
or
sat
the
gun
violence
day,
as
well
as
urge
the
city
to
create
a
task
force,
and
so
this
meeting
again
was
with
commissioners
myself,
commissioner
demonstration,
commissioner
gold
and
as
well
as
some
of
the
city
city
staff
and
kayla.
So
that
was
a
very
productive
meeting.
A
L
This
commissioner,
gold
yeah
from
what
I
remember
it
was
a
really
productive
meeting.
I
think
we're
just
gonna
have
to
continue
to
build
a
relationship
with
them.
It
seems
like
they're,
very
stretched.
You
know
at
their
capacity
as
far
as
like
staffing
goes
and
time
to
dedicate
for
a
specific,
you
know,
gun
violence
task
force,
but
I
think
the
plan
is
just
to
continue
reaching
out
and
seeing
what
we
can
partner
on
and
with
this
task
force
and
keep
putting
pressure
on
elected
officials.
A
Absolutely
thank
you.
I
think
that
was
a
major
thing
that
came
out
of
that
there's
a
lot
of
work,
that's
happening
with
the
office
and
violence
prevention
in
terms
of
like
their
general
violence
prevention.
So
one
thing
that
we
did
want
to
talk
about
with
them
was
there
is
a
shoot
now,
I'm
blanking
on
the
name,
but
there
is
a
steering
committee
that
they
have.
A
That
is
aimed
at
violence
prevention
and
this
me
and
we
brought
this
up
before,
but
there
they
haven't
met
for
quite
some
time
and
actually
their
last
meeting,
I
believe,
was
right
around
the
when
the
pandemic
hit
and
the
reason
why
they
from
what
they're
saying
they
their
membership
lapsed,
and
so
they
just
hadn't
done
new
applications
for
members
since
then,
and
so
they
did
open
their
application
for
new
members
to
be
a
part
of
the
steering
committee.
A
With
this
new,
the
upcoming,
I
believe,
the
date
for
closing
of
these
commissions
that
being
on
the
board
and
things
are
october,
22nd
for
the
office
of
violence
prevention.
However
yeah.
A
So
if
people
want
to
get
involved,
there's
a
way
to
do
that,
but
yeah
they
haven't
been
meeting
and
the
people
that
are
part
of
that
are
very
like
representative
cunningham
there's
people
that
are
connected
to
the
community
and
then
people
that
are
also
representing
other
agencies,
so
wondering
how
we
can
use
that
to
really
build
up
and
support
a
task
force
that
the
city
really
does
take
a
lead
on
questions
are
still
being
asked
of
us.
A
That
involved,
you
know,
are
we
wanting
to
lead
this
task
force
and
things,
and
so
just
very
much
maintaining
that
consistent
front
of
we're
really
urging
the
city
officials
to
take
a
stand.
Take
not
take
a
stand,
but
really
move
towards
this
initiative
of
really
targeting
gun
violence
and
doing
something
about
it.
The
numbers
are
continuously
rising
and
you
know,
loss
is
only
happening
for
the
community
and
so
excited
for
the
work
that
can
happen,
but
really
it
doesn't.
It
doesn't
sound
like
there's
a
urgency
or
not.
A
I
don't
know
if
urgency
is
the
right
word
it
doesn't.
It
doesn't
sound
like
a
lot
is
happening
around
specifically
around
gun
violence,
and
so
that
is
something
that
we
want
to
continue
to
urge
so
we'd
be
open
to
any
ideas
or
anything
regarding
how
we
could
push
that
or
or
give
a
different
angle
for
how
the
city
could
take
something
on
like
that.
But
we
do
really
think
it
is
important
that
we
do
hone
in
and
focus
on,
gun
violence.
C
M
And
mackenzie
could
I
just
add
one
thing
yeah,
so
the
one
thing
I
was
just
gonna
mention
was
one
thing
they
were
willing
to
engage
with
the
commission
on
in
relation
to
that
recommendation
was
in
the
not
the
steering
committee,
they
are
willing
to
explore
the
idea
of
creating
a
subcommittee
that
would
focus
on
gun
violence.
So
I
think
that
was
the
the
kind
of
substantive
offer
that
they
had
on
the
table
to
try
to
answer
kind
of
what
the
commission
was
looking
for
and
asking
for.
A
And
that
would
be
within
the
existing,
like
steering
committee
that
they're
working
to
staff
and
and
build
up
right,
okay,
yeah!
Thank
you
for
that
clarity.
So
it's
a
little
bit
that
didn't.
We
didn't
really
feel
like
that
was
in
line
with
what
we
were
asking
of
the
city.
That
was
more
like.
How
can
we
utilize?
What
we
already
have
to
you
know
check,
maybe
create
a
gun,
violence
subcommittee
versus
like
really
targeting
and
building
that
within
the
community.
A
So
people
would
already
have
to
be
on
that
committee
to
be
involved
in
that
and
so
yeah,
but
that
would
be
a
great
start
to
even
having
those
conversations
of
building
that
task
force,
not
sure
when
they
fully
staff
and
not
sure
when
that
steering
committee
begins
to
get
members
and
when
they
start
working.
But
I
think
it's
important
that
we
continue
to
see
where
we
can
plug
in
and
apply
pressure.
A
But
we
appreciate
the
update
from
the
office
of
gun,
violence
and
prevention
or
office
of
violence
and
prevention.
They
do
have
a
lot.
A
So
I
think
there's
more
to
be
explored
in
ways
that
that
work
could
look.
But
are
there
any
questions
from
other
commissioners.
A
A
Well,
we
don't
have
commissioner
here
today,
so
I
can
present
on
that
or
if
somebody
else
wants.
Somebody
else
would
like
to
step
in
I'll.
I
can
share
the
well.
We
actually
did
share
the
letter,
so
I
don't
know
if
we
need
to
post
that,
but
would
love
to
know
if
people
are
in
support
of
the
letter
we
did
meet
a
few
a
week
or
so
ago
to
really
lay
out
what
we're
asking
of
what
we're.
A
What
we're
getting
at
in
this
letter,
which
is
a
welcome
and
and
letting
them
know
why
we're
supporting
their
well
they're
they're
coming
to
minneapolis.
So
did
everyone
have
a
chance
to
read
that
letter.
A
G
Yeah
chur
chair
may
just
a
question:
can
you
please
remind
us
of
the
district,
the
mode
of
distribution
I
mean?
Is
it
going
to
be
posted
on
the
website
or
like
where?
Where
is
this
going
to
appear,
because
that
might
impact
commentary
or
feedback
on
it.
A
Yeah
does
anyone
want
to
step
in
and
if,
where
we
decide
where
we
landed
with
that
on
on
how
we
could
disseminate
this
letter,
I
think
one
thing
I
discussed
was
being
able
to
even
post
this
as
a
letter
with
a
link
to
the
article
but
post
this
as
a
letter
on
our
facebook
page
to
let
people
know
that
we're
welcoming
them
here
and
why?
Because
it
gets
at
really
critical
points
that
really
are
also
helpful
to
educate
the
community.
A
But,
commissioner
fine,
I
saw
your
mic
light
up
as
well,
but
yeah
if
anyone
that
was
a
part
of
that
meeting,
also
had
suggestions
for
how
we
were
gonna
disseminate
this.
I
don't
have
the
clear
answer
on
exactly
what
we
were
obviously
going
to
send
this
to
first
independence
as
well,
but
okay.
N
Yeah,
I
don't
have
any
answers
to
the
question
pose,
but
I
want
to
thank
the
people
who
worked
on
the
letter.
I
know
I
expressed
some
some
concerns
at
the
last
meeting
and
I
think
the
letter
is
really
good.
It
doesn't
sort
of
veer
into
any
sort
of
general
endorsement
or
anything
like
that.
I
think
it's
really
well
done.
So.
Thank
you
for
the
folks
who
made
that
happen.
N
A
Mostly
kind
of
exciting,
I
feel
like
working
together
and
putting
this
letter
together
and
thinking
of
the
reasons
why
this
is
so
meaningful
to
the
commission
and
to
our
community.
After
you
know,
we
have
years
and
years
of
wealth
and
equality
and
racial
wealth
gap
and
things
that
really
are
impacting
the
community
beyond
beyond
income.
A
Really
it
touches
a
lot
of
domains,
and
so
it's
important
to
highlight
why
it
is
great
to
see
one
of
the
first
black
owned
banks
come
to
minnesota
and
what
they
bring
with
that
and
how
that
can
support,
and
so
some
of
the
things
that
I
even
learned
with
the
the
their
status
as
the
cdfi.
I
believe
it
was,
and
so
I
was
really
educated
on
that.
So
I
appreciate
commissioner
rantz
for
bringing
this
to
us
and
I
think
I'm
all
in
support,
so
I'd
love
to
there's
no
other
discussion.
D
H
A
Fine
and
so
with
no
other
discussion,
I'll
ask
the
clerk
to
call
the
role
on
the
motion
to
accept
the
letter
and
to
send
it
to
first
independence
as
well
as
publish
on
facebook
page
again,
if
there
was
anyone
that
was
a
part
of
that
meeting
that
had
other
ideas
for
how
we
were
going
to
disseminate
that
I'd
like
to
clear
that
up
before
we
before
I
finished
the
emotion,
but
no
one
else
had
another
thought,
then
we'll
just
go
through
with
that
know.
Commissioner
rands
had
some
ideas,
so
yeah
we'll
approve
I'll.
M
E
Okay,
it's
gonna
be
in
a
different
order,
though
so
pay
attention.
Commissioner,
may
yes,
commissioner
shoemake
not
here,
commissioner
cobia.
Yes,
commissioner,
crowder
yeah.
D
B
E
B
C
J
A
Great
thank
you.
I
will
ask
the
clerk
to
yeah.
I
think
that
motion
passes,
so
I
don't
need
us
to
click
anything.
Our
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
item,
seven,
which
is
just
a
discussion
of
the
end
of
the
year,
recognition
slideshow
that
we
want
to
have
for
next
meeting
in
november.
So
I
was
just
wanted
to
have
a
discussion
about
what
commissioners
would
like
to
see
really
presented
in
that
I
don't
know
if
you
like
to
put
it
in
the
chat
or,
if
you'd
like
to
talk
about
it.
A
I
will
be
taking
notes
additionally,
but
yeah.
I
would
like
to
see
kind
of
what
we
would
like
to
see.
What
kind
of
things
would
we
like
to
see
in
the
end
of
the
year
presentation?
A
What
are
our
priorities?
I
guess
a
recognition
for
what
we've
done
and
definitely
review
panels,
but
was
curious
what
specific
things
we
can
include
in
there
that
really
lay
out
what
our
commissioners
have
accomplished.
G
A
Yeah
for
our
like
end
of
the
year,
what
has
our
commission
done?
So
it's
really
just
like
a
recap
of:
what's
happened
this
year
so
which
we've
had
some
great
action.
I
was
just
thinking
of
some
of
the
first
work
that
we
did
on
the
george,
the
accountability
of
george
floyd's
murder,
task
force
and
yeah,
so
just
reflection
and
want
to
put
out
you
know
from
what
I've
heard
there's
always
been
like
an
end
of
the
year.
G
This
is
commissioner,
lord
again
I
I
thought
it
was
I'd
love
to
kind
of
capture
the
community
awards
that
have
been
given
out
that
I
thought
that
was
really
fantastic.
I
think
I
might
not
be
getting
this
right,
but
I
think
commissioner
devenish
had
a
lot
to
do
with
that,
and
that
seems
like
something
we
would
want
to
capture
as
a
highlight.
A
What
is
our
standards
and
procedures
subcommittee?
What
kind
of
things
would
you
like
to
be
able
to
present
for
the
end
of
the
year.
A
Like
accolades
or
does.
A
Should
I
I
did
a
request
before
I
didn't
really
hear
back
from
anybody,
but
if
it
makes
sense
we
can
talk
about
it
and
I
can
put
something
together.
We
can
have
the
chairs
come
together
again,
but
just
love
to
get
some
feedback
for
things
that
we
could
share
out
again.
I
don't
have
the
number
for
review
panels
that
we
completed,
but
I
know
that
we
completed
a
lot
and
then
later
on
in
the
discussion
I'll.
A
N
I
just
wanted
to
suggest
that
whoever
is
going
to
put
this
together,
you
could
probably
just
look
through
the
minutes
from
the
session
from
the
meetings
we've
had
throughout
the
year.
That
kind
of
includes
some
of
the
activities
and
that
might
give
you
ideas
of
things
to
cover
yeah
like
we
did.
We
did
the
debriefing
of
the
we've
done,
the
coverage
of
the
un
reviews
and
stuff
like
that.
So
you
know
I
don't
know
whether
that's
that
rises
to
the
level
of
mention,
but
you
know
there's
a
pretty
good
record.
A
A
A
L
C
L
It
might
be
nice
to
also
maybe
discuss
for
folks
that
are
coming
back
next
year,
just
like
what
we
want
to
tackle
next
year,
even
with
the
new
commissioners.
Like,
obviously,
I
think
you
know,
commissioner
devinish
wants
to
continue
on
with
the
african-american
family
preservation
act
and
how
we
can
support
that
as
a
commission
and
still
do
community
awards.
L
A
Well,
I
think
that
caused
for
discussion
as
well,
because
I
think
it
would
be
great
to
hear
what
other
things
that
we
want
to
carry
forward
through
through
to
the
next
term,
for
those
of
you
that
do
carry
your
term
through
next
year
as
well.
A
So
I
appreciate
that
feedback.
Commissioner
gold-
I
think
maybe
you
know
we
will
be
having
some
a
presentation
for
next
month
as
well,
just
from
the
department
of
justice
and
so
yeah
learning
about
their
investigation.
I
think,
might
even
spark
some
some
interest
in
what
we
want
to
see
next
year
as
well.
A
So
I
think
that
would
even
be
worth
discussing
in
that
meeting
of
like
what
other
things
could
we
work
on,
but
yeah,
please
reach
out
to
me
if
you
have
any
feedback
for
things
that
you'd
like
to
see
happen
in
the
next
in
this
slideshow,
and
then
also
just
to
commissioner
gold's
comment
things
that
we'd
like
to
continue
moving
continue
to
move
forward
with
even
into
the
next
year.
I
think
that's
a
great
idea
to
focus
as
we're
doing
different
buckets
of
work.
We
do,
you
know,
have
housing
meeting
coming
up
this
week.
A
I
believe
with
the
ceap
commissioner,
lord
and
I
are
meeting
with
them
regarding
that
housing,
inequities
and
so
yeah.
There's
a
lot
of
stuff
still
happening,
but
love
to
know
what
things
that
people
would
like
to
see
carried
forward.
K
Hey
this,
this
is
crowder,
so
two
things
one
I
we
should
include
the
qualified
immunity
stuff
commissioner
singiani
set
up,
and
then
I
think
that's
that's
a
topic
that
will
continue
to
be
interesting
and
important,
and
maybe
we
could
tackle
that
next
year
too.
A
I
Yeah
this
is
commissioner
herkman.
Thank
you.
I
just
wanted
to
reiterate
the
importance
of
the
work
with
gun
violence.
I
I
don't
want
to
sound
like
a
broken
record
on
this,
but
I
mean
we
are
we're
hitting
historic
numbers
for
gun
violence,
specifically
in
ward,
4
and
5,
and
not
thrilled
that
the
best
we
can
come
up
with
is
a
subgroup.
You
know
from
an
existing
panel
because
things
are
tough.
It
just
it
sure
seems
like
that's
a
civil
rights
issue
that
it's
it's
tough
and
everybody's,
somewhat
politicking
while
we're
waiting
to
to
vote
in
our
next
leaders.
I
While
you
know
our
citizens
are
being
forced
to
deal
with
an
a
literal
epidemic
of
of
gun
violence
when,
when
covet
hit,
everybody
stopped
because
it
affect
everybody,
but
because
gun
violence
hits
certain
wards
more
than
others.
It
sure
seems
to
be
something:
that's
pushed
off
to
the
side,
not
by
this
commission,
but
maybe
in
general,
and
how
we
can
better
push
this
to
light.
I
feel
like
we
have
partnered
well
with
the
department,
but
I'd
love
to
figure
out
how
we
can
be
a
stronger
voice
in
this.
A
Absolutely,
commissioner,
bradquest
is
their
hand
up
again.
N
Yeah,
I
support
all
the
suggestions
that
have
been
made
so
far.
I
do
want
to
add
that
there
will
be
one
if
not
two
new
opportunities
to
engage
with
united
nations
human
rights
mechanisms
next
year.
The
u.s
is
scheduled
for
review
by
the
committee
on
the
elimination
of
racial
discrimination
and
the
committee
against
torture,
so
those
would
be
opportunities
as
well
as
there
are
oftentimes
other
opportunities
to
engage.
If
the
commission
thinks
that
that
would
be
a
relevant
thing
to
do.
A
So
seeing
that
I
have
commissioners
golden
commissioner
cignani
would
love
to
work
on
putting
something
together
for
next
month's
meeting.
I'm
just
like
a
series
of
accolades
to
all
of
you,
commissioners,
who
put
in
so
much
work
in
this
community,
and
I
would
so
appreciate
it
and
I've
appreciated
being
able
to
be
on
this
commission
with
you
all
so,
and
then
we
have
yeah.
We
do
have
on
on
my
script.
We
do
have
unfinished
business.
A
So
if
there's
we'll
finish
with
that
and
I'll
ask
the
clerk
to
file
and
receive
the
report,
and
then
we
can
move
into
unfinished
business
if
there
is
any
unfinished
business
that
we
have
for
today.
A
A
G
I
had
do
two
things:
one
is
you
had
mentioned
this,
but
I
I
wanted
to
with
your
permission.
Chair
make
this
a
bit
more
of
a
an
invitation.
Chairmae
and
I
and
kayla
are
meeting
with
the
community
planning
and
economic
development.
Is
it
a
committee,
a
commission?
G
Forgive
me,
I'm
not
sure,
I'm
getting
that
quite
right
to
understand
what
action
the
city
is
taking
with
respect
to
trying
to
address
the
immense
housing
disparity,
racial
housing
disparity
and
the
idea
is
that
we're
going
to
be
trying
to
understand.
G
You
know
some
potentially
some
opportunities
for
our
commission
to
exert
pressure
or
support,
or
you
know
somehow
supplement
some
of
the
efforts
that
they're
doing.
That
meeting
is
actually
this
wednesday
at
1
30
pm,
and
so,
if
there
are
other
commissioners
who
are
interested
in
journey
in
that
conversation,
I
think
we
would.
You
know,
welcome
any
additional
commissioners
who
are
interested
in
taking
part
in
that,
and
then
I'm
not
sure.
G
So
that
was
one
thing
and
then
I'm
not
sure
this
is
the
appropriate
form,
but
with
this
being
directed
at
the
department,
I
know
that
the
review
panel
that
commissioner
burquist
and
I
think
it's
commissioner
kobia-
is
working
on
the
three
of
us
are
on
it.
We
are
still
waiting
for
some
additional
documents
in
order
for
us
to
convene
and
to
be
able
to
review
our
case.
So
if
we
could
get
those,
forgive
me
if
I've
missed
them,
but
I
think
we're
still
waiting
on
those.
N
Yeah,
if
I
remember
correctly,
the
original
panel
had
remanded
and
there
wasn't
any
indication
of
that
in
the
file
like
the
remand
order.
Wasn't
there
and
the
additional
investigation
information
wasn't
there,
so
it
just
wasn't
clear
why
we
were
being
given
the
case
at
this
point
in
time.
A
Yeah
definitely
and
then
yeah
I
have
actually
there
when
we-
I
guess
this
is
unfinished
business
as
well.
To
add
on
to
that.
But
yes,
I
do
have
an
email.
I
was
going
to
send
out
a
reminder,
email
for
those
of
you
that
have
review
panels
from
the
last
few
months
june
july
and
august,
and
then
they
have
the.
I
have
the
links
now
too,
so
I'm
gonna
just
send
out
a
new
email
with
the
link
so
make
it
easier
to
access,
but
definitely
kayla.
M
He's
on
this
meeting,
so
he
should
be
hearing
this,
and
but
yes
I'll,
facilitate
that
with
him
and
make
sure
that
he
gets
those
documents
out
thanks.
A
Okay,
great,
thank
you
and
yes,
I
got
this
email
with
the
links
to
send
everyone
just
to
make
it
convenient
and
have
it
in
your
first
email.
So
I
will
send
that
when
we
adjourn
this
evening,
yeah
are
there
any
other.
I
guess
for
those
of
you
that
I
have
five
review
panels
that
actually
need
to
be
completed
so
one
for
july
with
commissioner
birdquest
commissioner
rance
and
commissioner
sunyani
and
then
two
for.
A
A
So
please
make
time
to
connect
with
those
commissioners
that
are
a
part
of
the
review
panel
and
schedule
it's
time
to
complete
that
review
panel.
We
appreciate
all
everything
that
has
gone
through
so
far,
though
we've
done
very
great
work
and
we
kayla
do
we
have
a
number
on
how
many
we've
done
so
far
we're
we're
so
far
in
and
we
would
love
to.
I
know
we
were
just
talking
about
whether
or
not
how
many
we've
done.
A
12.,
so
we've
done
12
this
so
far
this
year.
So
right
now
we
have
the
there's
actually
seven
that
are
outstanding
and
then
the
ones
that
are
coming
for
the
next
month.
So
please
find
a
way
to
make
time,
and
let
us
know
if
there's
any,
if
you
have
any
concerns
about
the
review
panel,
will
make
sure
it
will
be
accommodating
as
accommodating
as
we
can
right.
E
I
have
questions
commissioner
kobia
is
commissioner
shoemake
still
tracking
this,
because,
like
the
one
in
august
that
I
was
on
resubmitted
in
august
and
the
one
in
september
like
as
commissioners
just
said,
was
not
one
that
was
ready
for
us
because
we
didn't
have,
I
mean
it
had
been
remanded
already.
So
it
wasn't
even
like
a
active
case.
I
E
Just
wondering
if
all
these
cases
are
sitting
with
the
commission
or
or
waiting
more
for
the
department
to
act.
A
I
think
it's
more
at
this
point.
We
have
the
schedule
and
so
as
more,
I
guess
we're
we're
waiting
if
there's
yeah,
if
one
of
them
was
done
and
one
is
waiting
for
extra
documents,
I
would
say
that
would
be
on
the
re-
the
shoot.
What
am
I
that
would
be
on
the
department,
but
I'm
going
to
actually
share
my
screen
and
can
you
or
can
you
remind
me
so
which
ones
of
the.
C
M
So
it's
probably
better
as
individual
emails.
Sorry
about
that.
But
if
you
want
to
talk
through
it,
you're
welcome
to
well.
A
M
And
since
we
don't
necessarily
want
to
be
sharing
case
names
yeah,
commissioner
kobe
yeah,
if
you
think,
there's
a
case
that
is
complete,
that
you're
still
being
asked
for
or
that
we
don't
think
we
have.
Can
you
send
me
and
matthew
an
email
and
just
tell
us
what
case
you
think
that
is
the
list
that
we
gave
mackenzie
is
what
we
believe
is
the
current
up-to-date
list
of
what
we
have
or
what
we
don't
have,
what
we're
still
waiting
on,
but
it's
entirely
possible
right
that
something
got
missed.
M
So
please,
just
let
us
know.
I've
already
noted
that
case
that
was
brought
up,
that
you
need
the
remand
memo.
I
was
unaware
of
that,
but
we'll
make
sure
to
get
that
added
to
the
case
file.
We
wouldn't
have
assigned
it
to
you
if
it
wasn't
ready.
So
I
think
that
was
just
a
clerical
error.
Okay,.
A
Great,
thank
you
so
much
so
I
will
send
these
emails
when
the
meeting
is
adjourned
and
then
they
will
have
kayla
and
matthew
attached.
So
if
you
would
like
to
resp,
if
there's
any
concerns
or
anything
regarding
each
of
the
cases,
please
just
respond
to
that
email
or
reach
out
to
matthew.
I'm
independent
individually.
E
I
just
I
want
to
say
one
more
thing:
if
that's
okay,
you
know
it's
I've
been
on
a
lot
of
panels
over
the
last
couple
years.
E
I
I
think
one
thing
that
I
would
like
to
put
on
that
work
to
do
next
year
would
be
to
create
a
more
easily
understandable
schedule
of
when
things
are
going
to
happen
and
when
we're
going
to
be
placed
on
panels
and
how
much
work
is
going
to
be
involved,
because
it's
it's
felt
this
year
in
particular,
like
I've,
been
asked
to
get
on
a
panel,
read
all
the
panel
documents
and
do
the
the
panel
decision
very
quickly
and,
according
to
you
know,
deadlines
that
I
don't
know
about,
and
it's
very
difficult
to
fit
this
into
my
schedule
without
knowing
ahead
of
time
and
also
you
know
working
on
cases,
it
is
just
super
frustrating
that
we
read
through
all
these
cases
and
didn't
have
anything
to
do
at
the
end
of
that
last
case
that
we
were
working
on
that
was
remanded.
E
So
just
a
little
more
communication
regarding
that
and
I'm.
I
E
To
help
figure
out
a
way
that
we
can
maybe
schedule
this
a
little
bit
more
carefully
in
the
future
or
more
ahead
of
time,
I
think,
with
additional
information
from
the
department
about
what
they're
expecting
or
what
they
would
like
to
see
or
what's
upcoming
would
be
super
helpful.
C
E
A
A
Yeah
definitely
I
appreciate
that
feedback,
it's
something
that
I
think
this
year.
I
I
don't
wasn't
here
previous
years,
but
we
had
a
pretty
nice
schedule.
Janelle
laid
out
with
you
know
the
cases
for
the
future,
and
so
how
can
we
be
more
transparent
about
that
too?
And
just
letting
people
know
what
to
expect
for
upcoming
months
as
well
as
how
can
we
be
more
organized
around
the
way
that
cases
are
given
and
if
making
sure
that
commissioners
aren't
spending
their
time
working
on
a
case?
That's
already
been
remanded.
L
This
is
commissioner
gold
there's
some
money
in
the
mccr
budget
and
I'm
just
wondering
kayla
brought
up
a
really
great
idea
about
making
merchandise
you
know.
So
what?
When
we
go
to
events
or
and
table,
we
just
have
you
know
specific,
you
know
flyers
or
pamphlets
or
buttons
or
whatever
so
yeah.
Just
something
to
think
about.
I
don't
know,
or
we
could
do
like,
I
think,
kayla.
M
And
I
can
jump
in
just
quickly
in
regards
to
the
mutual
aid
drive.
The
commission
could
certainly
facilitate
something
like
that
and
use
funds
for,
like
that.
Facilitation
and
andrea
can
speak
more
to
this
potentially
as
well,
but
it
wouldn't
funds
wouldn't
be
able
to
be
used
to
like
purchase
items
for
the
drive,
so
that
was
kind
of
the
distinction
there,
but
yes
on
the
outreach
materials.
That
is
something
that
we
could
work
on
right
now.
We
only
really
have
outreach
materials
that
are
for
the
civil
rights
department.
We
don't
have
commission
specific
ones.
A
Absolutely,
I
think,
that's
a
great
idea,
I'd
love
to
get
started
on
that
is
that
something
that
we,
commissioner
gold?
Would
you
like
to
put
in
motion
to
be
able
to
approve
funds
for
merchandise,
yeah.
L
So
like
yeah
to
approve
budget
funds
to
go
to
outreach
materials
so
yeah.
A
A
So
a
motion
to
approve
but
budget
funds
to
go
to
outreach
materials
and
merchandise.
Do
we
have
a
second
on
that
motion.
M
And
could
I
just
interrupt
just
for
a
second
yeah,
so
andrea,
just
popped
in
here
too,
that
she
would
recommend
more
specifics
on
the
motion?
What
kind
of
materials
I'm
wondering
if
this
could
be
referred
to
either
a
subcommittee
or
maybe
just
to
a
couple
commissioners
who
want
to
just
work
with
me
to
talk
about
what
exactly
the
commission's
looking
for
and
and
then
maybe
it
could
be
voted
on
in
the
next
video.
Maybe
a
presentation
of
what
could
be
created.
A
A
A
A
Okay,
great,
so
they
will
discuss
that
they'll.
Take
that
to
the
meeting
and
bring
back
some
proposals
for
merchandise.
A
Kayla,
would
you
want
to
follow
up
with
that
or
I
could
follow
up
with
the
commissioner
with
that
subcommittee,
because
it
sounds
like
kayla.
You
want
to
be
a
part
of
that
as
well.
M
C
A
Thank
you
how
many
other
unfinished
business
before
we
get
to
the
public
comments.
A
Seeing
none,
I
will
ask
the
clerk
to
file
and
receive
or
that
part
of
the
agenda
I
want.
The
next
order
of
business
is
the
acceptance
of
public
comments,
so
I
will
open
the
floor
and
invite
comments
from
the
community.
Each
speaker
will
be
allowed
to
speak
for
two
minutes
with
that.
Are
there
any
community
members
on
the
line
who
would
wish
to
address
the
commission.
A
Seeing
none,
I
will
go
ahead
and
move
to
the
final
item
on
our
agenda,
which
is
the
reports
from
our
standing
committees
and
task
forces.
So
we'll
begin
with
community
engagement
and
research
subcommittee.
Please
there's.
L
A
need
this
is
commissioner
gold.
We
spent
a
lot
of
time
kind
of
trying
to
brainstorm
how
to
really
partner
and
and
put
pressure
on.
You
know,
city
officials
to
create
a
task
force,
and
so
I
just
want
to
thank
commissioner
herkman
for
what
you
said
earlier
in
the
meeting
very
much
feel
what
you're
saying
hold
on.
Let
me
grab
my
notes
from
our
last
meeting
and
we
just
talked
about
doing
more
outreach.
L
We,
commissioner
devinish,
and
I
we
went
to
the
it-
was
a
birthday
celebration
at
george
floyd
square,
because
it
was
george
floyd's
birthday
on
thursday,
and
so
we
did
a
lot
of
like
outreach
for
the
commission
actually
with
members
in
the
community
and
told
them
about
the
commission
and
what
we
do
and
how,
if
they
want
to
be
involved,
they
can
apply
and
that
the
deadline's
been
extended.
So
that
was
that
felt
good
and
was
fun.
L
And
then
we
also
went
on
sunday
and
we
invited
one
of
sasha
from
the
office
of
violence,
prevention
and
her
staff
to
come.
Join
us
at
the
guns
down,
love
up
event.
L
It
was
a
youth-led
march
to
to
basically
end
gun
violence
and
it
was
pretty
lightly
attended,
so
it
just
it's
just
an
eye-opener
to
more
work
that
we
have
to
do,
because
it
really
just
feels
like
it's
a
public
safety
and
public
health
issue,
like
what
commissioner
herkman
said,
like
ward,
four
and
five
there's,
no
reason
why
our
neighbors
should
be
experiencing
gun
violence
at
a
higher
rate
than
than
other
wards.
L
So
and
then
I
think
that
was
like
it
really.
That's
all.
A
Thank
you
for
that,
commissioner.
Gold.
Do
we
have
an
update
from
the
standards
and
procedures
subcommittee.
C
A
J
This
is
commissioner
I'll
hop
in
here
for
commissioner
ants.
We
also
had
a
scheduling
contract
conflict
with
our
meeting
this
month,
and
so
we
did
cancel
it.
We
will
have
one
next
month
to
cover
things
part
of
the
things
we're
working
on.
There
is
to
continue
the
you
know,
get
better
clarity
from
the
city
on
how
they
do
track,
diverse
hiring
for
contracts
and
and
minority
and
women-owned
businesses.
J
A
Yeah
definitely
well,
it
sounds
like
there's
some
things
that
maybe
we'll
be
able
to
take
through
to
again
what
we
work
on
next
year
with
some
new
energy
from
new
commissioners
as
well.
So
I
appreciate
that,
thanks
to
commissioner
sunyani
and
then
yeah
myself,
I
was
gonna.
Do
the
review
panel
update
when
during
my
update,
but
then
I
ended
up
doing
it
during
unfinished
business.
A
A
Looking
again,
like
commissioner
lord
said,
if
you're
interested
in
attending
the
meeting
this
wednesday,
we
will
be
able
to
discuss
with
the
city
office
about
the
work
that
they're
doing
towards
housing,
such
as
you
know,
some
of
the
things
that
they
talked
about
or
like
they
have
going
or
like
rent
to
own
programs
and
different
things
like
that,
and
so
it
would
really
be
worth
it.
A
It'd
be
really
worth
it
to
have
a
discussion
to
see
what
things
are
doing
that
are
specifically
aimed
to
eliminate
these
racial
disparities
that
we
do
see
and
how
we
can
maybe
urge
them
and
then
also
like
how
we
can
connect
that
to
the
the
work
that
commissioner,
lord
really
put
forth
on
the
letter
that
we
went
over
a
few
meetings
ago.
So
thank
you
for
that,
and
is
there
any
update
from
the
civil
rights
department.
M
Yeah
sure
happy
to
provide
a
brief
update.
I
think
I've
spoke
a
few
times
throughout
the
meeting,
so
I've
done
some
of
it
already,
but
one
thing
that
I
was
just
gonna
note:
that's
already
been
brought
up,
but
just
another
reminder
that
the
deadline
for
joining
the
commission
for
next
year
has
been
extended.
M
So
please
do
encourage
folks
to
apply
we've
gotten
some
applicants
so
far,
but
not
a
huge
amount,
and
we
definitely
would
like
like
there
to
be
more
so
that
there's
just
a
larger
group
of
folks
to
potentially
contribute
to
the
work
of
the
commission
review
panels.
Please
do
reach
out
if
you
are
confused
or
you
know
think
that
there's
something
missing
or
something
has
already
been
completed.
M
We
are
extremely
short-staffed
in
the
division
right
now.
So
if
there
has
been
clerical
errors
or
confusion
on
our
part,
I
apologize
for
that.
We
are
currently
down
two
people
and
we're
only
normally
a
staff
of
five.
So
it's
been
a
little
rough
keeping
everything
afloat
at
the
moment.
But
that
being
said,
we
do
have
two
new
investigators
that
should
be
coming
on
board
here
in
about
the
next
month
or
so
two
great
candidates
that
have
been
offered
positions.
M
So
I'm
excited
about
that
and
to
introduce
them
to
you
all
as
well
and
have
them
get
to
engage
in
some
of
the
work
that
the
commission
is
working
on
as
well
and
as
usual
I
have
an
open
door.
If
you
have
any
questions
for
the
department
things
you
want
to
discuss
with
me,
I'm
always
happy
to
do
that
and
I
appreciate
the
work
of
the
commission
as
always.
Thank
you.
A
Thanks
kayla,
we
appreciate
you
as
well
I'm
looking
forward
to
upcoming
meetings
with
some
other
city
departments
and
I'm
just
grateful
for
your
coordination
with
all
of
that
and
my.
A
Thank
you,
commissioners
and
staff
for
all
those
updates,
though
I
would
like
to
conclude
with
that.
We've
concluded
all
items
on
our
agenda
for
this
meeting
and
I'll
see
everyone
back
here
for
the
november
15th
regular
meeting,
where
we
will
have
that
presentation
of
our
end
of
the
year
and
then
also
a
presentation
from
ethan,
including
some
of
his
other
colleagues
from
the
department
of
justice
regarding
the
investigation.
A
So
that's
something
to
look
forward
to
for
november
as
well
and
stay
tuned,
and
let
us
know
if
there's
anything
that
you'd
like
to
present
for
next
next
meeting,
but
seeing
no
further
business
come
before
us
and
without
objection
I
decla
without
objection.
I
declare
this
meeting
adjourned.
