A
D
E
D
B
That
carries
on
the
report
is
adopted.
The
next
order
of
business
is
noticeable
ordinance
introductions.
We
have
one
notice
this
morning
from
councilmember
jenkins,
amending
the
administration
and
elections
codes
to
amend
statutory
citations
related
to
campaign
finance
disclosure
for
municipal
candidates.
Are
there
any
questions
from
council
members
on
that
notice
this
morning,.
B
D
D
B
Scene
and
I'll
just
note
that
we
had
a
lot
of
nice.
You
know
encouraging
discussion
about
the
director
of
regulatory
services
appointment.
B
I
know
we're
all
really
grateful
to
ms
garnett
julia
for
stepping
into
this
role
as
interim,
and
we
all
expressed
high
confidence
in
her
ability
to
lead
this
department,
both
as
it
faces
the
employees
and
the
innovative
work
that
regulatory
services
has
been
doing
to
support
our
employees
through
the
pandemic
and
racial
reckoning
and
all
the
things
that
are
affecting
our
work,
as
well
as
our
public-facing
work,
where
this
department
has
incredible
opportunity
to
leverage
our
regulations
and
how
we
implement
them
to
meet
our
goals,
so
really
excited
for
this
appointment
and
wanted
to
capture
some
of
the
praise
and
compliments
that
were
expressed
during
committee.
D
D
D
B
B
So
this
extension
of
the
emergency
regulation
will
allow
some
flexibility
in
that
return,
including
a
phased
return
to
work
in
person
to
in-person
meetings
for
both
the
city
council
and
the
boards
and
commissions,
and
the
independent
bodies,
like
the
audit
committee
and
the
executive
committee.
B
So
with
that
I'll
see,
if
there
is
a
motion
to
move
this
item,.
D
C
D
A
C
D
E
Thank
you.
Madam
president.
I
just
wanted
to
briefly
raise
and
praise
the
fact
that
our
9-1-1
department
mecc
won
the
make
a
difference
award
from
the
minnesota
chapter
of
the
n
a-p-c-o-n-e
n,
a
and
the
minnesota
sheriff's
association
and
that's
connected
to
the
work
and
the
hard
work
that
the
staff
did
during
the
civil
unrest
that
took
place
last
year
last
may
in
june.
E
So
just
wanted
to
say
congratulations
to
our
congratulations
to
our
hard-working
staff
and
they
will
be
formally
recognized
at
a
banquet
on
october,
27th
and
just
so
folks
know
that
whole
acronym
means
the
association
of
public
safety,
communication
officials
and
the
national
emergency
number
association,
so
incredibly
proud
of
our
staff
for
all
of
their
hard
work
and
their
commitment
to
the
people
of
the
city
of
minneapolis.
So
congratulations.
D
Thank
you,
madam
president.
I
I
did
just
want
to
announce
that
yesterday
I
was
able
to
attend
the
ribbon
cutting
for
the
aliveness
project,
which
is
the
longest
serving
himv
hiv
aids
organization
in
minneapolis,
approaching
its
20-year
anniversary,
and
they
are
offering
the
first
free
prep
clinic
in
the
state
of
minnesota.
D
The
liveness
project
is
located
in
ward
8
at
38th
and
nicollet
avenue
this.
This
body
in
2018
joined
the
fast
track
for
prep
international
program
to
as
a
means
to
end
hiv
and
aids,
and
so
this
is
just
another
step
along
that
path,
and
so
thank
my
colleagues
for
for
joining
that
and
want
to
make
sure
that
the
public
is
aware
that
now,
free
prep
services
are
available
in
the
state
of
minneapolis,
minnesota
and
minneapolis.
Specifically.
B
I
don't
see
any.
I
will
just
give
a
quick
reminder
that
election
day
is
coming
up
on
november,
2nd
a
little
over
a
week
away.
It's
a
measure
that
I'm
not
running
that.
I
don't
know
exactly
how
many
days
are
offhand,
but
just
a
a
week
from
next
tuesday
and
you
can
go
to
well
there
we
go.
I'm
sure
everybody
else
knows
exactly
how
many
vote.minneapolismn.gov.
B
Is
where
you
can
find
information
about?
What's
on
the
ballot
information
about
early
voting
in
person,
we're
seeing
a
great
number
of
folks
voting
early
in
person?
You
can
get
connected
to
your
day
of
voting
location
and
how
to
make
sure
that
you're
registered
in
minnesota
people
can
register
up
till
voting
day.
So
all
the
information
is
available
or
connected
through
vote
dot,
vote.minneapolismn.gov.
