A
B
B
This
meeting
includes
the
remote
participation
of
commissioners
and
staff
as
authorized
under
minnesota
statute,
section
13d
0.021
due
to
the
declared
local
health
pandemic.
The
city
will
be
recording
and
posting
this
meeting
to
the
city's
website
and
youtube
channel
as
a
means
of
increasing
public
access
and
transparency.
B
This
meeting
is
public
and
subject
to
the
minnesota
open
meeting
law.
For
the
record,
my
name
is
ken
daler,
I'm
the
manager
of
legislative
support
services
with
the
office
of
the
city
clerk.
I
am
convening
today's
meeting
in
order
to
conduct
elections
for
the
planning
commission's
president
vice
president
and
secretary
once
the
body
has
approved
those
positions.
I
will
turn
the
chair
over
to
the
newly
elected
president.
B
C
I
believe
he's
having
tech
issues
and
hopefully
he
will
join
us
later.
Commissioner,
campbell.
D
C
B
I
think
you
let
the
record
reflect
that
we
do
have
a
quorum
commissioners.
If
there's
no
objection,
I
will
proceed
directly
to
the
election
portion
of
the
agenda,
which
is
item
number
eight
on
the
agenda
and
then
once
we
have
concluded
with
the
election,
and
I
turn
the
chair
over
to
the
newly
elected
president,
I
will
let
the
body
continue
with
adoption
of
the
agenda
and
acceptance
of
minutes
and
all
that
stuff.
B
So
seeing
no
objection,
the
next
item
of
business,
I
believe,
is
number
eight,
which
is
the
election
of
a
president.
Vice
president
and
secretary
of
the
planning
commission,
at
the
march
21st
meeting,
the
commission
received
nominations
for
all
three
offices.
The
nominations
are
as
follows:
alyssa
olson
for
president
chloe
mcguire
for
vice
president
and
anisha
marwa
for
secretary
I'll
proceed
through
each
office.
B
B
We
will
begin
with
the.
I
will
say
just
in
case:
if
there
is
any
office
with
multiple
nominations,
I
will
take
up
those
nominations
in
alphabetical
order.
I
will
proceed
through
the
nominations
until
the
commissioner
has
been
elected,
but
we
will
begin
with
the
election
of
president
alyssa.
Olson
has
been
nominated
for
president.
Are
there
any
further
nominations
for
president
any
further
nominations.
B
President
again
seeing
none
and
no
further
discussion,
I
will
ask
the
clerk
to
call
the
role
on
the
nomination
of
alyssa
olson
as
planning
commission
president.
E
A
C
I'm
sorry
cut
out
a
little
bit
on
my
end.
Would
you
repeat
that
commissioner
rainville.
A
C
Thank
you
very
much
and
commissioner
olsen
hi
that's
five
years
and
zero
nays.
B
And
that
motion
carries
next.
We
will
proceed
to
the
election
of
vice
president,
commissioner.
Chloe
mcguire
has
been
nominated
for
the
role
of
vice
president.
Are
there
any
further
nominations
for
the
office
of
vice
president.
E
C
C
B
Thank
you
that
motion
carries
and
finally,
we
have
the
election
of
secretary
commissioner
anisha
marwa
has
been
nominated
for
secretary.
Are
there
any
further
nominations
for
the
office
of
secretary
any
further
nominations?
B
Seeing
none
is
there
any
discussion
on
the
nomination
of
commissioner
marwa
as
secretary.
F
C
E
G
E
F
G
And
that
was
commissioner
rainville
and
commissioner
campbell
for
the
record
all
right,
so
we
have
a
motion
and
a
second
is
there
any
discussion.
E
G
All
right
that
motion
passes
and
the
agenda
is
adopted.
Next
is
acceptance
of
the
minutes
from
march
21st.
Commissioners,
could
I
have
a
motion
to
accept
those
minutes.
G
E
G
All
right
that
motion
passes
and
the
minutes
are
adopted.
Next,
we
will
organize
our
agenda.
Our
public
hearing
agenda,
which
again
is
available
at
limbs.minneapolismnn.gov.
G
I'll
read
through
the
items
on
our
agenda
with
the
addresses
and
item
numbers
and
state,
whether
it's
slated
for
consent
continue
or
discussion
consent
items
will
be
passed
without
discussion
by
the
board
and
will
adopt
staff
recommendations
and
any
listed
conditions
with
those
items.
So
if
you
agree
with
staff
recommendation,
you
do
not
need
to
do
anything
and
the
board
will
pass
those
items
on
consent.
G
G
G
G
G
Alright,
I'm
not
hearing
any
one,
so
we'll
put
item
number
six
on
consent
and
then
item
number
seven
is
electric
vehicle
charging
ordinance
staff
is
continuing
this
item
to
the
april
25th
meeting.
So
we
will
not
be
discussing
that
item
this
evening.
All
right.
So
we
have
items
number
four,
five
and
six
on
consent
and
item
number
seven
will
be
continued
to
the
april
25th
meeting.
G
E
C
Glad
to
have
you
with
us,
commissioner,
marwan
commissioner
mcguire.
A
C
Thank
you,
commissioner.
Rainville
hi
and
chair
olson,
hi
pixiers
and
zero.
G
Nades
all
right
so
that
motion
passes
and
the
agenda
is
approved.
So
next
we'll
handle
our
consent
agenda.
First,
I
will
open
the
public
hearing
for
our
consent
agenda.
So
if
there's
anyone
here
who
would
like
to
speak
on
items,
four,
five
or
six,
you
can
do
so
now
you
can
press
star
six
to
end
meet
yourself
and
state
your
name
and
address
for
the
record.
G
F
C
A
A
G
Nades
all
right
that
motion
passes
and
we've
adopted
all
of
our
consent
items.
Next
is
our
continuance
item.
So
that's
item
number.
Seven:
electric
vehicle
charging
ordinance.
G
So
I'll
open
the
public
hearing
for
a
continuance
item
and
again,
that's
item
number
seven
and
it's
continued
to
the
april
25th
meeting.
But
if
there's
anyone
here
who
would
like
to
speak
on
this
item,
you
can
do
so
now
so
press
star
6
to
un
mute
yourself
and
state
your
name
and
address
for
the
record.
G
G
E
C
G
All
right
that
motion
passes,
and
that
is
all
of
our
public
hearing
items
for
the
evening.
Are
there
any
announcements
from
staff.
H
We
do
have
an
action
item
tonight
to
vote
on
the
nominations
for
the
executive
committee
that
we
took
at
the
previous
meeting.
So
just
a
reminder,
we
have
uncontested
nominations
with
commissioner
olsen
for
president
kimberly.
H
G
H
It's
like
I
was
in
as
an
attendee
who
couldn't
hear
or
see
or
do
anything
for
a
couple
tries.
So
thank
you
other
than
that.
We
have
an
appeal
of
the
decision
of
the
commission
for
the
635
van
buren
decision
to
deny
the
site
plan
review.
So
the
rezoning
item
is
not
an
appealable
decision,
since
that's
legislative,
but
the
site
plan
review
was
appealed,
so
that
will
be
going
to
the
biz
committee
of
the
city
council
next
week
on
the
19th.
H
I
will
report
back
on
that
once
that
is
complete
and
just
a
reminder
that
our
next
meeting
is
in
person.
Our
next
planning
commission
meeting,
not
our
next
committee.
The
whole
meeting,
so
thursday's
committee
of
the
whole
meeting
will
be
our
last
virtual
meeting
and
I
look
forward
to
seeing
you
all
in
person
some
of
you
for
the
very
first
time
it's
been
a
while.
G
We'll
have
to
get
used
to
that
all
right.
Thank
you
kimberly
any
comments
from
the
commissioners
or
maybe
questions
about
going
back
to
in-person
meetings.
F
Maybe
one
quick
question
just
in
terms
of
arrival
time
and
kind
of
getting
in
there,
since
this
will
be
new
to
a
lot
of
us.
I
mean
I've
been
on
the
other
side
of
that
bench,
but
kind
of
a
few
heads
up
or
some
tips.
There
would
be
great.
H
Yes
and
I
will
send
out
another
communication
or
two
as
we
come
up
to
that,
you
know
one
thing
we're
working
out:
we
have
transit,
passes
and
parking
passes
typically
for
commissioners
and
we
typically
had
a
whole
stack
of
them
with
no
expiration
date.
We're
checking
the
supply
making
sure
we
have
those
things
for
commissioners
who
will
be
either
arriving
by
public
transit
or
driving.
H
So
I
will
follow
up
when
we
have
those
details.
I
think
I
did
put
in
my
last
communication.
I
would
say
arrive.
H
You
know
if
you
can
maybe
10
minutes
before,
just
to
find
your
seat
at
the
dice,
make
sure
I
think
everyone's
probably
been
to
council
chambers
at
one
point
or
another,
but
just
to
make
sure
you
find
the
room,
okay
and
everyone's
seated
and
ready
to
go
before
the
meeting
other
than
that.
I
don't
know
ken
or
rachel.
If
you
have
any
special
announcements
related
to
preparing
for
in-person.
B
No,
I'm
not
sure
I
have
anything
specific
to
add
will
certainly
you
know,
I
I
do
think
10
minutes
early
is
a
a
good,
a
good
standard
in
general.
I
would
especially
for
those
new
members,
maybe
even
being
a
little
bit
earlier
for
your
first
meeting
just
so,
we
can
get
you
kind
of
set
up
on
the
dyas
and
show
you
how
the
mics
work
some
of
that
stuff
wouldn't
be
a
good
idea,
and
just
especially,
if
you're,
not
driving,
downtown
or
taking
the
bus
downtown.
B
Just
to
make
sure
you
kind
of
know
your
way
around
and
get
here
in
time.
That'd
be
great
if
possible,.
F
And
laptops
and
things
are
okay
on
the
dance
and
we
can
plug
in
and
all
that
stuff.
We
can
figure
that
out
all
right,
great.
H
Yes,
absolutely
especially
with
you
know,
we
don't
do
paper
packets,
anymore
or
we
haven't
been
so
all
of
your
materials
will
continue
to
be
electronic,
so
you
are
welcome
to
bring
your
own
devices
and
plug
in.
If
that's,
your
preference.
H
No,
not
at
all
bring
in
whatever
you
need
to
access.
Your
information
can.
Are
there
still
the
individual
I
haven't
been
in
chambers
for
a
while
either?
Are
there
still
the
individual
hookups,
just
like
always
at
each
spot?
None
of
that
technology
has
changed.
B
The
the
hookups
have
changed
just
a
little
bit.
There
are
still
individual
hookups,
but
the
connector
has
changed
due
to
basically
the
city
refreshing
all
of
their
laptops.
So
I
think
you
know,
depending
on
what
type
of
laptop
you
may
or
may
have,
but
there
are
certainly
just
plug-ins
if
you
bring
your
own
charging
cord
and
there
is
certainly
room
for
everybody
to
to
bring
their
own.
G
Yeah,
I
would
I
would
say
one
thing
you
might
not
realize
is
that
you
can't
grab
a
snack
from
your
kitchen
when
we're
not
virtual,
so
you
might
want
to
pack
a
granola
bar
if
it
looks
like
a
long
meeting.
D
H
So
I
don't
know
that
there's
any
interior
that
we
have
access
to
for
the
public.
It's
just
the
bike,
racks
out
in
front
of
city
hall.
You
know
that's
something
we
can
discuss.
There
is
long-term
bike
parking
in
the
other
city
buildings,
but
that
is
a
special
card
access
permission
for
staff.
H
H
D
G
Commissioners
in
the
past
have
just
brought
their
bike
upstairs,
but
it
doesn't
fit
in
the
elevator,
because
it's
the
old
elevator
you
could
carry
it
okay.
I.
D
H
That
I
can't
promise,
no
one
will
yell
at
you,
but
I'll
find
out
what
sort
of
options
we
can
offer
you.
So
you
don't
get
yelled
at.
