A
B
Good
evening
my
name
is
joan
vorderbergen
and
I
am
the
chair
of
the
minneapolis
arts
commission.
Before
we
begin,
I
would
like
to
know
that
this
meeting
includes
the
remote
participation
of
members
as
authorized
under
minnesota
statute,
section
13d
13d.021,
due
to
the
declared
local
health
pandemic.
I
will
now
call
this
meeting
to
order
and
ask
the
clerk
to
call
the
role
so
that
we
may
verify
the
presence
of
a
quorum.
A
B
B
Thanks
everybody,
so
the
two
initial
items
that
we
have
are
to
get
a
motion
to
adopt
this
evening's
agenda.
I
don't
know
tina
if
you
want
to
drop
it
in
the
chat.
B
It's
it's
not
100
necessary,
though
you
should
have
received
this
in
an
email
that
was
sent
to
you
on
friday,
and
I
wondered
if
we
could,
just
in
the
interest
of
time
if
we
could
get
an
adoption
to
I'm
sorry,
a
motion
to
adopt
the
agenda
and
acceptance
of
the
december
minutes
in
one
swoop,
so
that
we
can
call
the
role
and
just
save
a
little
bit
of
time.
That
way,
can
I
get
a
motion
so
moved?
B
H
H
B
Hi
so
move
that
motion
passes.
Thank
you,
okay,
so
let's
go
ahead
and
do
introductions
quickly.
B
I
thought
that
maybe
this
evening
being
that
it's
been
a
little
while,
since
we've
met
since
the
break
and
the
holiday
has
happened
and
everything
else
that
maybe
you
know
just
we'll,
do
our
normal
popcorn
around
kind
of
tag,
somebody
that
you
want
to
go
next,
and
so
just
your
name,
but
also
just
if
you
want
to
provide
some
words
of
an
update
about
how
your
holiday
was
or
something
that
you're
looking
forward
to
or
anything
that
maybe
is
just
a
little
bit
meaningful
to
share,
not
mandatory,
but
I'm
just
going
to
kind
of
leave.
B
It
open
choice
tonight
so
tina,
do
you
mind
taking
down
the
slide
and
then
we
can
get
our
brady
bunch
tiles
up
here.
I
So
mari
she
her
hers.
I
live
in
ward
8,
I'm
an
artist
on
the
commission
and
over
the
holidays.
My
family
does
a
christmas
cookie
bake
off
and
this
year
I
placed
third,
so
I'm
very
proud
of
myself
and
I
will
pass
it
off
to
jeff.
G
Congratulations,
my
name
is
jeff
swinton,
I'm
from
ward
7.
He
him
his.
The
holiday
was
good.
Our
adult
children
came
home,
so
that
was
nice
and
just
different
to
just
have
a
bunch
of
adults
in
the
house
in
their
own
idiosyncrasies
that
you
have
to
accept
now
because
they're,
not
children
anymore.
So
that
was
good.
We're
coming
off
quarantine,
that's
good,
and
for
the
future
we
are
I'm
going
to
try
to
get
down
to
st
olaf
college.
G
They
have
a
exhibit
of
of
artists
that
I
follow
on
instagram.
So
that's
I
have
been
kind
of.
I
haven't
been
going
to
any
museums
or
anything
any
galleries
because
of
the
quarantine,
but
I'm
looking
forward
to
that
and
I
will
pass
it
off
to
lucy.
J
J
My
sister
died
in
september
and
so
her
husband
and
my
nephews
needed
to
do
something
completely
different
for
christmas.
So
that's
what
we
did
and
I
can
tell
you
it
was
completely
different,
but
we
saw
a
lot
of
eye
candy
as
a
photographer.
I
found
it
quite
interesting
as
a
city
planner
urban
designer.
I
felt
it
quite
disgusting,
so
there
was
all
that
going
on,
but
we
saw
cirque
du
soleil
doing
oh
and
I
don't
know
if
anyone's
ever
seen
that
show.
But
it's
just
incredible.
J
The
stage
is
a
pool
so
they're
doing
flips
and
synchronized
swimming
and
stuff.
So
so
it
was
a
trip
and
a
half,
but
it
definitely
did
what
we
needed
it
to
do
for
christmas.
So
I
will
call
on
mandy.
C
Y'all
the
omicron
got
me
for
christmas.
That
was
what
I
got
for
christmas.
My
name
is
mandy,
I'm
in
ward
10.
She
her
hers.
And
yes,
I
I
got
the
omicron,
but
I
took
a
test
on
christmas
eve,
so
I
thought
it
was
fine
and
then
I
typhoid
mandied
it
up
to
my
friends
and
to
my
family
and
then
took
another
test.
C
So
luckily,
everyone
was
boosted
and
like
we're
all
fine,
it
was
just
a
head
cold
and
thankfully
nobody
that
was
immunocompromised
got
it
because
that
would
have
been
terrible.
So
I
spent
the
time
in
between
christmas
and
new
year's
quarantining,
so
that
was
that
was
fun.
Next
year
I
am
going
somewhere
warm.
I
like
the
way
that
you
think
lucy.
That's
I
like
that.
Sad
reason
why,
but
still
a
great
idea
so
yeah.
So
I
will
tag
commissioner
brickman.
L
Hi
crystal
brinkman,
she
her
hers.
I
live
in
ward
one
and
I
got
to
go
up
to
duluth
and
see
my
family
and
lake
superior,
I'm
a
fave
and
and
then
just
really
hunker
down
at
home
and
like
be
super
cozy
and
have
a
great
kind
of
like
kid
time.
Small
family,
kid
time
yeah
it
was.
It
was
great
and
now
we're
in
2022
and
not
2022,
again
2020
to
another
year,
happy
new
year
to
everyone
and
I'll
pass
it
on
to
jack.
E
Hi
I'm
jack
mabius.
He
him
his.
I
live
in
ward
12..
I
cut
off
all
my
hair
for
christmas.
It
was
done.
It
was
a
two-year
coved
do
so
it's
it's
gone
and
I'm
very
happy
about
it.
So
I
will
pass
it
off
to
lava.
M
I,
like
the
new
look
jack
sutsu
very
nicely:
hi
lana
ailsworth.
She
her
hers,
I'm
a
layperson
representing
ward
11
and
I've
got
two
kiddos
at
home
distance
learning.
So
I'm
looking
forward
to
february
where
I
hope,
if
everything
goes
as
planned,
I'll,
be
an
art
adventure
person
in
the
minneapolis
public
school.
So
I'm
not
really
sure
what
that
means.
But
I'm
pretty
sure
I
like
to
talk
about
art,
so
I
I
think
that'll
be
really
fun
for
some
kindergarteners
and
some
third
graders.
M
F
Commissioner
smith,
he
him
layperson
and
I
live
in
ward.
One.
F
I
guess
I
don't
have
too
many
updates.
I
was
in
a
neighborhood
meeting
where
our
new
commissioner
elliot
payne
right
was
one
of
the
the
people
in
the
meeting.
So
it
was
interesting
to
hear
him
talk
a
little
bit
about
some
plans
for
the
neighborhood
and
minneapolis
as
a
whole
and
what
he's
becoming
involved
with
at
city
hall,
I
didn't
have
a
chance
to
talk
with
them
about
any
art
related
matters.
But
I
guess
it's
just
a
matter
of
time.
B
No,
I
can
go
yeah
joan
vorderbergen
she
her
hers,
word
three
art
submit
arts
admin.
I
am.
I
couldn't
count
my
blessings
more
for
our
little
tiny
christmas.
We
just
had
our
tiniest
little
christmas
with
my
in-laws
and
our
tiniest
little
christmas
with
my
brother
and
my
mom,
and
it
was
the
biggest
blessing
I
could
have
ever
hoped
for,
and
it
was
just
you
know.
B
Just
gosh
just
to
be
together
at
all
was
really
special
because
my
mother
is
immunocompromised,
so
we
very
very
rarely
take
any
chances
with
her,
and
so
that
was
awesome.
It
was
magical
and
wonderful
and
so
far
so
good
knock
when
she
got
her
first
shot
today.
B
So
that's
kind
of
cool
and
there's
all
sorts
of
things
I'm
looking
forward
to
the
future,
but
one
very
immediate
thing
is:
you
may
or
may
not
know
that
the
art
shanties
launched
on
saturday
out
on
bidet
ma
and
lake
harriet,
and
one
of
my
old
friends,
mentors
jack
becker
like
roped
me
into
emceeing
a
wearable
art
car
parade,
which
sounds
as
crazy
as
it
is,
which
is
great.
B
So,
like
all
these
artists,
who
typically
drive
around
in
art
cars
couldn't
do
that
on
the
lake,
so
they
made
art
car
costumes
and
it's
really
bananas
and
a
lot
of
fun.
And
I
I
dressed
up
like
some
kind
of
wild
hot,
pink
superhero
and
it
was
just
an
absolute
blast
and
it
will
be
happening
again
this
saturday
at
11
and
then
there's
a
kite
festival
at
noon
and
then
zamia
theater
is
performing
at
one.
So
sorry
about
that.
D
Oh,
I'm
so
excited.
I
thought
that
that
happened
last
weekend
and
I
thought
I
missed
it
so
count
us
in
for
one
of
the
next
two
saturdays
that
looked
like
a
lot
of
fun.
Whichever
saturday
is
warmer,
I
will
do
a
weather
check,
that's
hard
to
ask
for
right
now,
hello,
everybody!
I
have
a
silky
jones.
She
hers
I
represent
word
seven.
Our
holiday
was
very
low-key
nice
to
be
with
family.
D
We
also
went
up
north
and
got
to
traverse
the
icicles
of
lake
superior
and
lutson,
which
was
lovely,
and
then
we
spent
new
years
in
chicago
with
dear
friends,
which
was
so
nice
to
just
also
hunker
down.
They
had
a
little
snowstorm
and
just
enjoy
enjoy
time
with
people.
So
I
am
excited
to
engage
in
more
artistic
happenings
and
right
now,
I'm
just
immersed
in
covid
responses.
D
I
know
many
of
you
are
either
immersed
in
or
the
recipients
of,
with
the
online
learning
and
whatnot
so
looking
forward
to
february
and
and
hopefully
some
brighter
days
ahead.
So
I
think
that's
all
the
commissioners.
I
will
tag
tina.
A
A
Good
to
see
everyone,
I
provide
the
admin
support
for
the
arts,
commission
and
I'm
excited
to
see
all
of
you
and
happy
to
be
still
part
of
the
arts.
Commission.
We
don't
know
what's
going
to
happen
this
year,
but
so
far
I
know
I'll
still
be
supporting
you
and
for
christmas
we
finally
had
family
together,
we
didn't
do
anything
last
year,
everyone
kind
of
did
their
own
thing,
so
that
was
nice
and
then
we
got
away
for
a
few
days
and
went
to
the
dells
with
my
son
and
steps
on.
So
that
was
fun.
N
N
In
oh,
I
had
a
very
nice
christmas,
although
my
son
did
not
come
home
because
he
had
covered,
but
I
had
a
nice
one
anyways
and
in
2022
I
am
looking
to
being
healthy.
O
Great
now,
I'm
thanking
everyone.
Thank
you.
Guillen
km
director
arts,
culture,
creative
economy,
so
my
christmas
was
also
very
quiet,
really
just
immediate
family
and
kids
coming
home
from
college.
O
So
nothing
to
report
on
that
end
have
a
looking
forward
to
this
weekend
when
a
friend
has
invited
me
to
her
cabin
in
northern
wisconsin,
so
appreciative
and
happy
to
spend
a
nice
cozy
quiet
weekend.
With
with
my
friend
my
person,
I
went
to
college
with,
so
that's
it.
B
J
Jeff,
can
I
just
ask
what
artist
is
at
st
olaf
before
we
leave
this
part
of
the
meeting.
G
Yeah
kenya
robinson,
so
she
does
some.
She
does
a
lot
of
different
things,
but
she
does
some
a
lot
of
installations,
so
I'm
not
even
exactly
sure
what's
at
st
olaf,
but
I
I
saw
somebody
that
told
me
that
she
had
something
up
there.
So
I
was
like.
Oh
you
know
what
that's
not
far
and
it's
it's
a
nice
drive
so
yeah.
J
G
J
B
So,
if
there's
nothing
else,
we'll
move
on
to
our
next
item
item
number:
five,
which
which
actually
is
one
of
the
few
action
items
that
we
have
on
our
agenda
this
evening.
So
our
kind
of
our
first
order
of
business
is,
we
need
to
formally
seat
our
executive
committee
and
I
guess
I
want
to
just
remind
everyone
that
there
continues
to
be
a
vice
chair
position
that
is
available
and
tina.
Correct
me.
B
If
I'm
wrong
and
I
apologize,
I
should
be
more
prepared,
but
I
believe
that
we
still
have
at
least
one
or
two
lay
openings
if
anybody
wants
to
join
so
far
on
our
executive
committee,
we
do
have
representation
of
all
of
our
alt
groups
and
that's
really
helpful
because
it's
you
know
a
space
where
we
share
sort
of
like
what
our
smaller
subcommittees
are
working
on.
B
We
assist
and
support
each
other
with
decision
making
and
planning
and,
most
importantly,
we
draft
and
approve
agendas,
and
I
mean
there's
just
a
lot
of
strategy
that
happens
at
exec
and
it's
a
really
fun
group
to
be
a
part
of.
So
if
anybody
wants
to
be
a
part
of
exec,
you
are
very
welcome.
In
addition
to
being
completely
welcome
to
join
us
at
any
time
for
any
exact
meeting,
it's
an
open
meeting
you're
welcome
to
just
sit
in
or
participate,
so
we're
not
really
strict
as
far
as
that
is
concerned.
B
So
right
now
what
we
have
on
the
slate
and
we
would
need
a
motion
to
approve
the
slate-
would
be
myself
as
chair
commissioner
ailsworth
as
secretary
and
then
commissioner
bedbury
swinton
and
thompson
as
members
at
large,
and
I
didn't
know
if
anybody
else
wanted
to
come
forward
to
jump
into
that
members
at
large
or
jump
into
that
vice
chair
position.
B
L
B
Awesome:
perfect:
okay,
okay,
who
seconded
oh
jack
thanks
so
much
okay,
we
have
a
proper
motion
before
us.
Is
there
any
discussion
before
the
clerk
calls
the
role?
I
G
B
Hi,
wonderful
that
motion
passes
thanks
everyone
and,
of
course,
as
always,
thank
you
also
to
everyone
who's,
a
part
of
the
exec
committee.
It
is,
in
addition
to
other
subcommittee
work
that
every
person
on
the
exec
committee
does
so
it
is
an
extra
meeting
every
month
and
it
is,
does
require
a
lot
of
strategic
thinking
and
some
preparations.
So
I
think,
on
behalf
of
all
of
us,
I
say
thanks
a
lot
for
that
commitment.
To
do
this
again
this
year
really
appreciate
it.
Okay,
let's
keep
moving.
M
Thanks
joan
hi
all
so,
where
we
stand
right
now
is
at
a
bit
of
a
strategic
holding
pattern
is
what
I'm
going
to
say.
We
met
again
in
december
as
a
work
group
to
try
to
come
together
and
draft
a
youth
poet
laureate
overview
just
so
that
we
had
a
full
picture
to
share
as
a
resource,
primarily
and
right
now
we're
at
a
holding
point
at
least
three
quarter
one
until
we
have
a
director
in
place
for
the
new
department,
with
the
understanding
that
that
could
be
later
in
quarter.
Two
as
well.
M
M
You
know
of
reviewing
some
of
these
ideas
that
we've
drafted
through
research
and
collaborative
conversation
with
the
understanding
that,
right
now
it
is,
it
is
conversational
in
tone.
We
don't
yet
know
what
the
the
further
roles
will
be
until
the
full
roles
of
the
department
are
in
place.
So
forthcoming
updates,
hopefully,
are
out
there
in
the
months
ahead,
but
you
know
we're
preparing
that.
This
could
be
something
that
the
full
department
isn't
up
and
running
until
quarter
two,
so
the
work
group
presently
is
prepared
to
sit
tight.
M
M
One
of
our
partners
from
hennepin
county
libraries
kia
had
a
great
resource
document
about
safety
with
youth
spaces,
and
you
know
we're
talking
about
maybe
having
some
sort
of
cohort
or
ideas
as
a
recommendation.
You
know
so
that
youth
can
meet
together.
So
it's
not
always
a
one-on-one
with
an
adult
or
a
mentor,
but
just
something
where
they
have
a
little
bit
more
ownership,
perhaps
as
a
group,
and
so
considering,
safety
in
spaces
was
one
of
the
things
we
heard
from
again
and
again
from
our
our
community
responders.
M
So
hopefully,
that's
a
good,
helpful
working
document
right
now
we're
looking
at
this
as
trying
to
be
helpful
a
resource
in
any
way
we
can,
with
the
understanding
that
we,
you
know
we're
uncertain
how
we
can
move
forward
to
help
improve
this
work
beyond
continuing
our
advocacy
work
for
more
funds
through
the
city
level,
I
mean
the
city's
really
just
got
to
finish
what
we
started
in
funding
a
new
department.
Otherwise
we
don't
have
the
supportive
resources
to
do
awesome.
M
M
The
next
step
is
making
sure
that
the
resources
are
in
place
so
that
it
can
be
successful
and
that
is
is
still
holding
in
my
opinion.
So
that's
what
policy
is
going
to
renew
our
interest
in
working
toward,
as
we
ask
everyone
to
reach
out
to
council
members,
you
know
just
kind
of
starting
a
relationship
so
that
we
can
build
on
that
advocacy
work
so
that
we
can
pick
up
where
we
started.
B
It's
a
great
update
and
it's
really
practical
yeah.
It
sounds
like
as
if
everything's
staying
moving
as
best
it
can
and
there's
still
great
ambition
to
manifest
this
as
soon
as
it
makes
sense,
with
a
lot
of
the
moving
parts
that
need
to
be
in
place.
But
does
anybody
have
any
questions
for
the
work
group
or
does
anyone
from
the
work
group
on
add
anything
or
chime
in.
B
Okay,
okay!
Well,
thank
you
for
that
update,
lana
thanks
everybody
who's
working
on
this.
This
has
been
a
source
of
great
pride,
and
I
know
that
there's
so
many
so
many
unknowns.
But
it's
been
really
nice
to
watch
and
again,
I
always
kind
of
say
that
it's
sort
of
like
a
it's,
a
demonstration
of
how
we
can
make
moves
and
and
make
things
happen,
so
I
really
appreciate
it.
Okay.
B
The
next
item
on
our
agenda
is
scheduling
meetings
with
our
council
members,
so
I
just
want
to
have
a
conversation
about
this,
because
it's
something
that
we
typically
do
once
a
year,
sometimes
twice
a
year
in
more
recent
times,
the
policy
alt
has
led
a
strategy
around
us
canvassing
with
a
really
specific
ask
right,
like
we've
had
some
letter
writing
activity
and
with
the
development
of
the
new
department,
we
had
really
specific
ask
that
we
wanted
people
to
vote
yes
right,
and
so
we
so
that
was
really
kind
of
the
driving
force
of
that
round
of
canvassing,
and
so
now
I
just
want
to
kind
of
check
the
temperature
with
everybody
about
you
know
there
are
some
new
council
members
and
granted.
B
We
know
that
their
schedules
are
packed
and
busy,
but
that
doesn't
mean
that
we,
you
know,
don't
warrant
a
hello.
I
think
that,
if
anything,
it
means
that
we
really
need
to
do
that.
It's
probably
sooner
than
later,
so
we
talked
at
exec.
We
haven't
had
a
lot
of
conversations
about
this
and
I
think
we
will
talk
about
it
when
we
get
together
with
policy,
but
we
have
a
year
in
review
document
that
is
a
source
of
pride
and
has
a
lot
of
great
information
in
it.
B
We
have
our
2022
work
plan
and
then
we
have
the
nice
one
sheet
that
ahava
put
together
with
our
headshots
in
our
bios.
B
So
we
have
kind
of
these
three
attachments
that
I
think
are
enough
neat,
if
not
almost
a
little
too
much
content
to
warrant
us
reaching
out
and
asking
for
a
meeting
to
say
hello
to
our
council
members
and
potentially
their
senior
policy
aides
or
the
other
way
around
is
fine
too,
in
some
instances
to
introduce
ourselves
again
or
or
for
the
first
time
and
not
have
a
really
heavy
agenda,
necessarily
but
really
rooted
in
what
we're
working
on
the
development
of
the
new
department
and
some
of
those
stuff.
B
B
I
guess
you
would
have
a
nice
suite
of
documentation
to
center
your
conversation
and
your
sort
of
introductory
hello
happy
new
year.
Welcome,
welcome
this
new
year
and
here's
what
we're
working
on.
Can
I
get
your
feedback
to
take
back
to
the
commission,
and
you
know:
is
there
anything
particular
that
you
are
thinking
of
as
far
as
arts
agenda
related
or
development
of
the
new
department
and
then
bringing
that
back
to
our
policy
group?
B
So
I
know
I
just
said
a
lot
of
stuff,
but
what
I
want
to
know
is,
you
know,
does
everybody
feel
like
they
have
what
they
need
to
do
to
reach
out
and
ask
for
a
meeting
and
share
those
three
documents
with
your
council
members,
and
I
also
wanted
to
offer.
I
think
I
offered
this
in
our
december
meeting,
I'm
happy
to
meet
with
you
with
them
if
you'd
like,
but
it's
not.
Obviously,
it's
totally
that's
only
if
you
think
it
would
be
helpful
or
if
you
would
prefer
that
jeff.
G
Yeah,
we
also
mentioned
that,
if,
if
there
are
multiple
people
from
the
same
ward,
that
it
probably
makes
sense
to
kind
of
coordinate
the
activities
you
know
and
have
one
meeting,
I
just
want
to
add
that.
B
Yeah,
that's
a
good,
that's
a
good
consideration
so
getting
together
with
your
commissioner.
That
is
also
in
your
ward
and
making
that
meeting
ask
as
a
group,
yes
to
be
efficient,
yeah.
L
Statement
like
what
we've
been
up
to
and
are
there
any
like,
direct
whoa
asks,
or
I
feel
like
in
the
past,
we've
been
like
number
one.
This
number
two,
this
like
very
pointed
I
feel
like
that,
might
be
nice
to
have,
just
as
because
it's
good
to
really
like
maximize
the
time
that
we
have
with
them.
L
B
And
I
think
we
have
we've
we've
kind
of
gone
around
about
this,
a
little
bit
and
I'll,
let
lana
pipe
into
because
she's
done
so
much
of
the
thinking
for
us
as
far
as
it's
concerned,
but
I
think
it's
fine
to
provide
some
basic
talking
points
saying
like
here's,
our
work
plan,
do
you
have
any
questions?
You
need
any
clarification
and
then
the
the
really
high
level
big
ticket
items
are,
you
know,
do
you
feel
a
level
of
comfort
ability
working
with
the
commission?
B
You
know
what
I
mean
like
was
especially
for
new
elected
like
how
do
you
want
to
maintain
this
relationship?
And
you
know,
I
think,
that's
always
kind
of
a
through
line
that
we
want
to
make
sure
that
they
know
that
we
carry
a
network
of
their
constituents
that
we
care
about
and
that
we
want
to
work
with
them
and
and
sometimes
that
isn't
always
clear.
B
B
Even
if
the
answer
is
I
don't
know,
and
so,
let's
think
of
some
action
steps,
then
to
figure
that
out-
and
I
guess
I
would
say
the
next
would
be
just
you
know.
What
is
what
is
your
agenda
in
regard
to
the
arts
and
like
how
you
know?
How
can
we
be
helpful?
How
can
the
commission,
how
can
I,
as
your
commissioner
and
your
award,
and
how
can
we
as
the
broader
commission,
be
helpful,
so
I
think
we
can
make
this
a
little
bit
more
succinct
and
just
make
these.
B
Like
maybe
three
questions,
it
probably
wouldn't
hurt
you
in
the
development
of
the
new
department
to
add
in
like
and
hey
we
love
this
poet
laureate
work
group,
and
this
has
been
approved
and
we
know
that
this
is
going
to
move
forward.
So
you
need
to
be
aware
of
it,
and
you
know
there
is
a
special
work
group
and
is
there
anything
in
particular
that
you'd
like
us
to
share
with
them,
so
it
is
kind
of.
B
Build
on
your
relationship
with
your
council
member,
because
there's
going
to
be
this
year
is
going
to
be
pivotal
as
we
know,
and
we
want
to
be
in
a
position
to
be
able
to
reach
out
as
situations
arise
and
get
a
response
and
be
heard
so
lana
do
you
have
anything
to
add?
I
don't
know
if
maybe
it
would
be
helpful
for
us
to
just
go
back
and
and
and
kind
of
make
this
more
concise.
M
Yeah,
you
know
I'm
hearing
that
there's
perhaps
a
desire
for
more
firmly
rooted,
talking
points,
and
you
know
so.
I
just
want
to
communicate
that
that
that's
heard
and
we
can
certainly
address
that
at
policy.
The
way
we're
looking
at
it
is
a
general
temperature.
Take
right
like
we
want
to
get
to
know
our
electives.
We
want
to
make
it
a
conversational
tone
so
that
we
can
help
to
be
involved
and
continue
these
conversations
moving
forward.
M
You
know
maybe
just
rooting
it
in
one
simple
question
about
I'd
like
to
have
a
discussion
about
your
views
on
your
arts
agenda,
moving
forward
for
the
city
right,
because
to
me
that
kind
of
encompasses
everything
and
encompasses
the
new
department,
poet
laureate
project
and
it's
going
to
kind
of
anchor
any
focal
point.
We
can
certainly
talk
at
policy
if
we
want
to
make
it
one
succinct
line
so
that
all
council
members
are
hearing
the
same
thing
from
each
commissioner.
I
hear
that.
B
That
sounds
really
efficient
to
me
and
then
you
know
like
we
have
this
one
question
right:
we're
trying
to
get
an
answer
and
sort
of
like
have
some
summary
that
we
can
come
back
with,
but
it
involves
all
these
other
things
that
you
know
right
that
are
kind
of
like
press
on
that.
So
thank
you.
Mari
did
you
have
a
comment.
I
Oh
yeah
mine
was
just
a
technicality
for
our
little
like
art
person,
bios
mine
says
I'm
in
word
nine,
I'm
now
in
word
eight.
So
if
someone
else
is
in
word
eight
and
wants
to
meet
up
with
me
just
let
me
know.
B
That
brings
up
a
good
point.
There
needs
to
be
some
updates
on
that
sheet
and
crystal
thinks
sent
some
updates
too
for
her
the
changes
that
she's
had
moved
and
everything
else
and
I've
moved
and
there's
been.
You
know
so
do
take
a
look
at
that
and
have
if
you
could
have.
D
B
E
I'm
just
curious
about
awards
that
aren't
represented
on
the
council
or
on
the
commission
so
who
will
be
reaching
out
to
those
council
members.
B
That's
a
great
question:
in
the
past:
it's
been
typically,
it's
been
me
or
a
combination
of
myself
and
a
couple
of
other
people
from
exec
we've
delegated
it
out.
I'm
happy
to
take
those
unless
there's
somebody
who
wants
to
take
a
couple
that
are
represented,
I
mean,
maybe
you
have
some
affiliation
or
some
connection
to
another
ward
in
the
city
that
we
don't
have
a
commissioner,
I'm
kind
of
really
open
to
that.
So
again,
I
think
this
is
just
another
item
to
coordinate.
So
if
that
is
the
case,
how
about
this?
B
If
this
works
for
everybody,
if
there
is
a
ward
that
is
not
represented
with
our
commission,
and
you
would
like
to
pick
up
an
additional
meeting
with
the
council
member,
can
you
just
send
that
info
to
me,
so
I
can
track
I've
volunteered
to
track
this
right
now
for
our
policy
group
and
just
okay,
awesome
and
if
anybody
else
wants
to
end
of
day
friday
that
sound
okay,
just
send
it
to
me
and
I'll
put
it
together.
B
Awesome:
okay,
we'll
move
on
to
the
next
item.
Thanks
everybody.
I
think
this
will
be
fun,
I
think,
and
if
we
could,
if
we
could
try
to
get
the
meeting
scheduled
before
our
next
mac
meeting,
I
think
that
that
is
a
reasonable
goal.
I
don't
know
that
every
council,
member
or
their
policy
aid
is
going
to
be
able
to
meet
before
our
next
meeting,
but
this
is
a
q1
goal
right.
B
Okay
item
number,
eight
is
vacancy
and
interview
updates.
So
thank
you
so
much
to
tina
beach,
who
has
been
so
helpful
in
guiding
us
because
there's
been
all
these
delays
with
like
we
have
a
an
applicant
that
needs
some
additional
resources
to
be
able
to
accomplish
the
interview.
B
There's
just
a
lot
that
goes
into
being
able
to
schedule
these,
so
in
addition
to
the
fact
that
we
do
need
to
extend
a
hand
to
the
mayor's
new
policy
aide
who
is
assigned
to
the
arts
and
at
least
invite
her
to
participate
in
interviews
if
she
wishes.
So
of
course,
that
person
is
mighty
busy.
B
So
there's
that
and
then
there's
another
policy
that
we've
reached
out
to
too
so
we're
kind
of
waiting
to
just
hear
back.
If
there's
any
availability
for
those
two
people,
and
then
we
do
have
five
candidates
which
mari
mandy
and
I
are
committed
to
interviewing.
So
we
made
time
this
week
we
were
going
to
jump
in,
but
we
just
you
know
things
move
at
the
pace
that
they
move,
and
so
I'm
happy
to
report
that
we
have
five
applicants.
I
think
that's
a
major
score
and
some
of
them
really
do
look
very
promising.
B
So
we
hope
by
this
time
next
month
that
we
will
be
able
to
report
the
outcomes
of
those
interviews
and
we
will
advance
them.
You
know
with
due
diligence.
So
that's
what
I
have
for
you
and
thanks
to
mari
and
mandy,
also
for
being
willing
to
continue
to
be
on
this
little
subcommittee
of
welcoming
applicants
and
doing
a
lot
of
thinking
and
inquiry
towards.
You
know,
what's
really
needed
for
the
commission
for
the
group.
So
any
questions
go
ahead.
Murray.
I
Yeah,
I'm
wondering
just
if
we
should
still
be
publicizing
the
opening
and
keep
promoting
it
too.
Okay,
yeah.
B
And
if
anyone
has
any
new
ideas
about
that,
you
know
I
think
access
is
still
while
not
probably
laser
focused
on
this
right
now,
because
there's
other
stuff
going
on.
You
know
there's
murray
and
mandy,
and
I
and
I
do
think
that
the
access
group
would
be
responsive
if
there
were
ideas
about
how
to
get
the
word
out.
So
we
still
struggle
with
getting
applicants
that
are
bipac
representing
and
identifying.
So
that's
a
huge
priority
for
us
and
also
to
jack's
point
we.
B
How
do
we
get
all
of
the
words
represented
right,
like
that's
another
goal
in
making
sure
that
we
are
as
representational
as
possible
so-
and
I
know
that
we
all
have
lots
of
conversations
about
youth
and
we
are
able
to
have
young
people
on
this
commission,
so
students
either
high
school
aged
or
college
aged.
B
If
you
know
of
anyone
who
just
wants
some
experience,
I
think
that
there
are
might
be
wrong
about
this,
but
there
are
some
seats
that
aren't
as
long
as
others
that
maybe
a
shorter
stint
for
learning
and
to
provide
that
representation
could
be
really
cool
for
the
right
person.
B
N
B
Well,
there's
also
the
reality,
while
it
isn't
ideal
that
someone
may
choose
to
serve
and
then
leave
their
position
early
and
if
that's
the
case,
it's
almost
like,
I
would
rather
someone
consider
giving
us
some
time
and
talent,
even
if
it's
not
a
100
certainty
that
they're
going
to
stick
out
their
whole
term,
I
mean,
I
think,
with
all
of
us:
that's
a
possibility
right
life
twists
and
turns
so
maybe
we
just
because
of
the
situation
that
we're
in
with
trying
to
be
able
to
retain
talent
and
get
that
representation.
B
M
Hi
again,
I
think
we've
covered
a
little
bit
of
policy
and
advocacy
in
our
laureate
updates
as
well
as
just
talking
about
you
know,
council
member
meetings
upcoming.
I
want
to
openly
share
that
our
next
group
meeting
is
going
to
be
the
26th
at
1
30..
So
we're
going
to
be
you
know,
discussing
those
and
try.
My
goal
will
be
to
try
to
make
a
framework
for
one
concise
question
that
we
can
reach
out
to
all
of
our
council
members
with
in
also
including
those
three
documents
that
jones
sent
over
for
everyone's
reviews.
M
So
hopefully
you
know
we
can
get
that
all
updated
by
the
26th.
I
guess
I'd
just
like
to
state
that
joan
asked
anybody
to
email
her
friday
if
they
want
to
meet
with
unrepresented
words,
but
I'd
also
request
that
by
end
of
day
friday,
you
send
any
edits
for
that
sheet,
just
so
that
we
can
prioritize
having
that
updated
before
we
do
reach
out
and
if
anyone
else
has
other
questions
that
you
want
to
email
me
separately
from
the
meeting,
I'm
very
open
to
that
too.
M
If
you're,
looking
for
for
more
guidance
or
framework,
that's
something
we
can
discuss
at
policy,
but
I
would
feel
really
good
if
we
had
one
anchor
question
that
everyone
could
respond
to,
and
then
our
policy
group
could
work
on
tracking
those
responses
so
that
we
get
an
overall
temperature
from
both.
You
know
new
council
members
and
old
about
how
they
feel
about
the
arts.
What
is
the
likelihood
that
they're
going
to
be
a
champion
for
the
new
department
and
responsive
to
more
advocacy
asks
to
further
fund
it?
J
M
I
think
at
policy
we'll
be
drafting
what
the
anchor
question
will
be.
Okay,
practitioners
will
include
in
their
outreach.
I
mean
it
could
be
something
as
simple
as
you
know,
just
what
we
we
said
like.
Can
you
give
us
an
insight
into
your
arts
agenda?
You
know
like
what,
where,
where
do
the
priorities
of
each
council
member
lie?
M
If
anyone
wants
more
specific
questions,
as
we
had
done
very
specific
talking
points
in
the
past,
and
I
think
it
was
because
we
were
in
the
process
of
finding
out
if
council
members
were
aware
of
the
ordinance
surrounding
the
commission
and
just
in
general,
the
work
that
we
do
so
certainly
you
know
the
sighting
of
the
ordinance.
If
anyone
has
questions,
you
should
be
familiar
with
that
as
a
commissioner
and
ready
to
address
that
in
conversation,
the
anchor
will
be.
J
So
maybe
just
a
follow-up,
so
so
are
we
gonna
have
talking
points
or
not,
or
will
it
be
open
enough?
J
It
would
be
kind
of
nice
to
have
some
talking
points
framed
up,
and
maybe
it's
I
mean
I
can
speak
from
the
stuff
we
already
have
in
front
of
us.
But
if
there
are
behind
the
scenes
things
or
you
know
that
just
for
me
to
know
to
work
into
a
conversation,
I
think
that
would
be
really
helpful
and
I
also
think
the
more
that
we
can
prepare
them
the
better.
J
So
if
we
have
an
anchor
question
and
any
others
that
we
think
we
might
have
per
individual
council
member,
we
should
send
them
ahead
of
time.
It
will
just
make
our
time
more
efficient.
So
anyway,
maybe
that's
just
more
unique
to
a
new
council
member
who
have
may
have
no
clue
about
the
arts
ordinance
or
the
commission.
I
I
don't.
I
don't
know
my
new
council
member
yet
so
there
might
be
a
little
bit
more
work
for
that
person.
F
M
D
M
Called
council
member
responses,
so,
where
everybody
emailed
me
some
of
the
responses
to
the
questions
that
we
anchored
our
previous
conversations
on
anyone
who
sent
it
over
to
me,
it
got
included
in
a
document,
so
it
might.
K
M
L
Hi,
we
are
working
prioritizing
our
quarter.
One
goal
of
getting
the
artists
that
responded
to
generously
responded
to
our
survey
last
year,
more
engaged
so
steps
to
take
before
that
include
synthesizing
kind
of
the
themes
of
the
survey
and
figuring
out
kind
of
the
more
details,
including
what
our
budget
is
we'd
like
to
compensate
the
artists
for
their
time
and
skills.
L
So
we
have
a
budget
to
figure
out
and
then
we'll
go
from
there
as
far
and
then
we'll
know
more
about
like
how
many
artists
we
can
engage
in
this
conversation
and
panel.
We
also
have
a
few
technical
questions
to
figure
out,
so
I
think
mary
and
ortina
will
be
partnering
with
you
on
some
of
these
things,
including
the
budget,
but
we
want
to
make
the
conversation
accessible
to
all,
and
I
know
like
not
everyone
that
we
want
to
hear
the
perspective.
L
Artists
can
be
in
the
room,
maybe
when
it
happens
or
on
the
screen,
when
it
happens.
So
we'd
like
to
document
it
somehow
too,
to
make
it
accessible
for
folks
to
view
at
a
later
date,
yeah
and
then
really
excited
about
keeping
in
touch
about
new
commissioners
and
filling
some
of
these
vacancies
and
what
we
can
do
to
kind
of
promote
and
communicate
about
that
process.
L
We
will
be
meeting
next
tuesday
morning
at
10
a.m.
So
please
reach
out
with
any
ideas
or
thoughts
that
we,
you
know,
topics
that
we
can
discuss
at
that
time.
Lana
did
you
have
a
question.
M
Yeah,
just
a
quick
question
about
accessibility.
If
we've
given
any
thought
to
doing
you
know
like
asl
interpretation
or
anything
else
for
participants,
especially
if
it's
going
to
be
documented
for
the
future,
you
know
it
might
not
be
a
need
directly
if
no
one's
requested
it,
but
it
could
be
a
good
resource
to
have.
L
Yeah
totally
so
that's
part
of
the
more
like
technical
documentation.
It
would
depend
on
like
what
exactly
how
it
was
documented
or
what
we
wanted
to
do,
and
there's
a
lot
of
creative
ways
to
to
do
that
kind
of
work
as
well.
So
I'm
interested
in
thinking
about
those.
But
yes
thank
you
for
that
question.
B
L
Yeah-
and
that
would
also
relate
to
our
inviting
guests
to
future
meetings,
as
we've
been
doing,
which
I
think
has
been
really
great.
So
we're
still
interested
in
doing
that
and
have
kind
of
like
a
working
list,
but
need
to
figure
out
that
budget
piece.
So
yeah.
B
N
Yes,
the
executive
committee
asked
me
to
do
a
presentation,
a
short
presentation
on
the
2021
project,
which
is
the
presentation
that
a
similar
presentation
to
what
went
to
the
or
discussion
that
was
at
the
public
art
advisory
panel.
And
so
I'm
going
to
share
my
screen
and
do
a
quick
powerpoint.
N
N
So-
and
I
also
just
want
to
thank
commissioner
thompson,
who
reviewed
my
notes
on
the
public
art
advisory
panel
discussion
and
gave
me
some
comments,
so
the
2021
project
is
was
a
unique
approach
to
selecting
sites
for
public
art
that
we
did
over
the
past
year.
So
I
thought
I
would
just
start
out
by
talking
about
how
we
normally
pick
sites,
since
this
was
just
a
new
experiment
in
terms
of
how
we
do
it.
N
N
That's
public
works,
who
does
roads,
bridges,
bike
trails,
it's
the
park
board
who
obviously
does
parks
and
then
property
services
that
does
buildings
and
also
there's
the
organization
that
runs
city
hall.
The
municipal
building
commission
also
has
city
hall
related
improvements
in
the
capital
program,
so
I
send
an
internal
rfp
to
all
those
departments
and
then
the
departments
propose
potential
sites
for
public
art
within
their
program
and
then
the
public
art
advisory
panel
reviews
their
proposals
and
they
select
the
sites
for
funding.
N
And
then,
after
that-
and
I
think
it's
important
to
know
what
happens
after
that,
because
that's
when
the
artists
normally
get
involved
is
is
that
that
the
public
art
team,
researches
the
project
and
and
the
community
and
develops
a
steering
committee,
a
local
steering
committee-
that's
community
community-based-
that
really
leads
the
development
of
the
project
and
they
shape
the
initial
community
engagement.
N
N
You
know
the
artist
gets
involved
after
some
planning
has
happened
in
the
community
and
after
the
project
has
been
selected
or
the
site
has
been
selected
so
for
2021.
Our
goal
was
to
bring
artists
into
the
process
earlier
and
have
them
work
with
the
departments
and
have
them
look
at
the
crazy
capital,
improvement
plan
and
mine.
That
document
and
identify
potential
sites
and
work
with
the
departments
and
propose
sites,
and
so
this
is
the
2021
team.
N
Mohab
solomon
was
the
project
manager
for
the
2021
project
and
then
aaron
marks
and
zoe
sanel
worked
with
trey
joner
in
public
works
and
their
capital
plan.
Whitsi
asoko
worked
with
colleen
o'dell
at
the
park
board
on
their
capital
plan
and
then
cali
tao
worked
with
liz
verdeco
on
the
property
services
capital
program.
N
Our
goals
for
this
work
is
really
to
identify
sites
for
projects,
but
we
also
wanted.
We
had
this
idea
that
artists
were
going
to
come
up
with
ideas
that
departments
hadn't
come
up
with
for
sites,
and
we
also
wanted
them
to
involve
the
community
in
site
selection,
because
our
current
process
does
not
have
community
engagement
as
part
of
site
selection
and,
of
course,
we
wanted
to
figure
out
how
we
were
going
to
spend
the
money.
N
So
the
2021
process
was
that
the
artist
would
dig
into
the
capital
improvement
projects
for
the
departments
which
are
really
pretty
intense
and
somewhat
boring
documents,
but
and
and
also
work
with
the
department
staff
that
they
would
engage
the
communities
in
thinking
about
where
we
should
be
doing
art
among
those
capital
sites
and
that
they
would
develop
the
proposals
and
present
them
to
the
panel,
and
that
happened.
N
So
in
the
past
couple
of
months,
mohab
has
been
interviewing
the
artists
and
the
department
liaisons
about
how
well
they
think
this
process
worked,
so
that
we
could
think
about
whether
we
want
to
do
it
again,
and
so
I'm
gonna
just
go
over
some
of
the
key
points
by
the
departments
and
the
liaisons.
And
then
this
month
I
interviewed
the
panel
because
mohib
was
stuck
in
mexico
and
and
got
their
feedback.
N
In
learning
about
how
all
the
bureaucracy
worked
and-
and
they
also
wanted
to
do
more
than
they
than
it
was
in
their
scope-
they
wanted
you
know
in
some
ways
they
wanted
to
design
the
whole
public
art
program.
They
wanted
to
help
the
park
board,
develop
a
long-range
plan
for
public
art.
They,
you
know
they
wanted
to
really
dig
in
deeper
than
their
scope.
N
N
That's
the
next
point,
so
they
the
other
thing
that
they
all
felt
was
that
they
needed
more
time
so
the
2021
project.
From
beginning
to
end
from
the
time
the
artists
were
selected
to
the
time
they
proposed
projects
was
about
a
15-month
period,
but
they
didn't
feel
like
that,
was
long
enough
to
study
the
capital
plan
and
propose
projects
and
engage
the
community.
N
They
thought
they
needed
more
time,
but
they
did
really
think
that,
even
though
the
community
engagement
work,
they
did
wasn't
as
in-depth
as
they
would
have
liked
it
to
be
that
it
was
really
helpful,
then
so
that's
the
the
artists
and
the
liaisons,
and
I
should
just
say
that
mo
have
interviewed
them
together
and
separately,
and
so
those
are
just
some
summaries
of
their
comments
from
those
interviews.
N
So
the
panel
members,
their
comments,
were
they
appreciated
hearing
from
the
artists
they're
more
interesting
than
listening
to
project
engineers
present
and
I
have
to
say
I
thought
the
artists
put
together
some
really
beautiful
presentations.
They
gave
examples
of
precedence
and
their
proposals
were
much
more
attractive
than
the
project
managers.
Proposals
generally
are,
but
one
kind
of
one
of
the
main
takeaways
was
the
artist
didn't
recommend
anything
that
the
departments
that
was
different
than
what
the
departments
have
been
recommending.
N
We
got
kind
of
the
same
results
and-
and
we
also
we-
we
didn't
get
more
equitable
results
and
I
think
I
have
to
say
that's
in
part,
because
the
departments
are
doing
such
a
great
job,
analyzing
equity,
in
terms
of
their
capital
proposals,
they're
using
all
kinds
of
data
and
rubrics
for
determining
where
they're
doing
their
work,
and
so
it's
so
rigorous
already.
N
I
think
it
was
hard
to
raise
the
bar
even
higher,
so
the
panel
felt
the
benefits
of
including
the
artists
in
this
part.
Part
of
the
process
didn't
seem
to
outweigh
the
challenges
and
also
the
expense.
It
was
pretty
expensive
to
do
this
and
we
spent
money.
N
We
could
have
spent
on
an
actual
public
art
project
doing
this,
and
so
they
weren't
sure
that
was
worth
it,
but
they
really
think
it's
important
to
bring
artists
into
the
process
earlier
and
they
they
felt
very
strongly
that
we
need
to
really
think
that
through
how
can
we
get
artists
involved
earlier
and
the
other
question
that
they
raised
was?
Is
it
really
important
that
the
public
art
selection
process
be
tied
to
the
capital
program
and
so
next
month?
N
I
think
these
are
excellent
questions,
and
so
next
month
the
panel
is
actually
going
to
dive
into
the
site,
selection
policies
and
discuss
them
and
talk
about
this
whole
thing
about
the
pros
and
cons
of
tying
the
public
art
selection
process
to
the
capital
improvement
program.
So
more
to
come
on
that,
I
do
believe
that
all
three
commissioners
were
in
the
panel
meeting,
and
so
they
might
have
further
comments.
H
N
They
wanted
to
plan
the
projects
for
those
sites
they
wanted
to
jump
in
and
be
the
selected
artist,
and
even
when
they
were
doing,
engagement
was
hard
for
them
to
do
broader
engagement.
Thinking
about
talking
to
the
community
about
where
should
we
be
doing
public
art
in
the
city
they
wanted
to,
they
wanted
to
kali
tao
got
so
excited
about
engaging
people
in
what
should
the
art
at
the
farmer's
market
be.
She
was
so
excited
about
that,
and
so
I
think
I
think,
that's
kind
of
interesting
and
it's
kind
of
cool.
B
I
really
appreciate
that.
I
think
you
know
when
I,
when
mary
was
debriefing
about
this
activity
to
exec.
I
one
of
the
things
that
I
sort
of
thought
about
was
that
I
just
really
want
to
commend
mary
and
everyone
on
the
public
art
advisory
panel
that
they
took
the
sleep
of
faith
having
never
approached
projects
this
way
before,
but
attempting
to
respond
to
feedback
that
had
been
given.
B
N
And
I
am
really
grateful
that
they
do
want
to
talk
about
the
time
you
know
the
degree
to
which
we
tie
public
art
projects
to
the
cip.
There
are
enormous
benefits
of
doing
that,
but
there
are
also
some
downfalls,
and
so
I
think
you
know
it's
it's
time
to
look
at
that
again
and
have
you
know
to
talk
about
whether
or
not
we
should
be
doing
that
or
if
there's
just
some
ways
we
can
kind.
We
can
do
that
and
something
else.
B
So
then
we
see
this
having
potential
policy
impacts,
which
is
like
outcomes.
I
mean
those
are
amazing
outcomes,
honestly
that
we
would
never
even
expect.
So.
Thank
you
for
that
thanks.
I
really
appreciate
the
humble
and
humility
in
which
you
present
this
information
to
mary
and
just
the
transparency
and
the
honesty
about
like
what
worked
and
what
didn't
work.
I
think
that's
really
refreshing
that
we
can
say
that,
like
hey,
this
got
hard
for
folks
and
here's.
The
here
were
the
pain
points
and
just
discussing
that
is
is
really
important.
B
Okay,
yeah
and
I
think
we'll
try
to
do
that
a
little
bit
more
this
year.
I
think
we
not
to
go
on
a
tangent
about
this,
but
we
learned
so
much
about
consent
agenda
right
this
past
year
and
how
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
not
flying
too
far
on
either
direction
that
we
actually
take
the
time
to
be
sure
that
the
commission
understands
some
of
these
larger
projects
and
is
also
involved
earlier
than
when
it's
time
to
approve
things.
So
this
is
a
result
of
that
important
work
too.
B
B
B
So
I'm
really
happy
to
report
that
exec
landed
on
a
time
and
a
date
for
us
to
be
able
to
participate
in
a
two-hour
retreat,
which
is
awesome
which
we're
going
to
do
at
our
next
exec
meeting.
So,
instead
of
having
our
meeting
be
from
five
to
six
everybody's
very
generously
made
time
in
their
schedules
for
it
to
be
from
four
to
six,
and
we
have
just
some
draft
questions.
You
know
we
can't
accomplish
even
in
two
hours
like
it's
hard
to
accomplish
a
lot,
so
I'm
just
gonna
drop
in
the
chat.
B
B
B
So
it's
probably
no
surprise
that
this
is
mainly
around
the
development
of
the
new
department
and
that's
where
we're
going
to
give
most
of
our
time
and
just
thinking
about
what
is
our
value
add
as
a
commission
to
the
development
of
the
new
department?
What
are
some
strategic
next
steps?
What
are
some
action
steps
we
could
possibly
take?
How
might
we
be
able
to
ensure
the
public's
involvement?
So
I
think
that's
a
big,
a
big
value
that
we
can
bring
to
this
whole
process
potentially
and
then.
B
Lastly,
what
are
some
long-term
goals
for
the
mac?
That's
been
a
really
tough
one
to
even
approach
right.
It's
been
a
lot
of
just
responsiveness
to
everything
that
we've
experienced
these
past
couple
of
years,
but
maybe
maybe
it's
time
now
to
be
thinking
about
what
comes
down
the
road,
even
if
it's,
even
even
as
there
is
a
lot
of
uncertainty
right
like
we
have
the
right
to
think
about
what
we
think
might
be
good
for
the
commission
a
couple
of
years
from
now,
so
we're
gonna.
Welcome
your
feedback.
B
That
meeting
I'm
sorry,
I
don't
have
the
date
in
front
of
me,
but
I
can
share
that
with
you
all
too,
when
I
share
this,
so
this
is
gonna,
be
an
ongoing
dialogue.
I'm
sorry
go
ahead.
Lana,
it's
february,
8th,
joan
oh
lucy
february
february,
8th
it's
a
tuesday
yeah.
B
So
let
me
know
if
that's
something
that
you'd
like
to
participate
in
you're
really
welcome
to
come
along
we're
just
I'm
gonna.
Try
to
get
someone
to
scribe
for
us
so
that
we
can
really
be
present
in
our
conversation
and
that
we
have
someone
I'm
just
doing
note-taking,
so
all
of
us
can
actually
be
like
really
active
participants
in
the
dialogue.
B
So
that's
that
is
there
any
questions
about
that
right
now.
It's
definitely
kind
of
a
work
in
progress
and
an
effort
to
sort
of
get
us
fast
forward
us
a
little
bit
and
some
of
the
things
that
we're
thinking
about
go
ahead
crystal.
L
Well,
I
just
wanted
to
echo
what
you
said
joan
about
how
like
setting
the
tone
for
the
next
several
years
or,
in
you
know,
goals
for
several
years.
L
I
feel
like
some
of
the
work
that
I'm
engaged
with
today
was
just
like
talk
three
years
ago
and
I
feel
like
it
takes
that
long
to
really
put
things
into
action,
so
I
want
to
thank
you
guys
for
just
taking
the
time
to
strategize
and
hopefully
like
ideate
and
really
use
like
radical
imaginations
for
what
this
arts
commission
can
be,
because
in
three
years
the
these
seeds
will
be
hopefully
nourished
and
growing.
So
thank
you.
B
J
Yeah,
I
would
say
just
related
to
that
too.
I
I
wouldn't
for
that
question
number
three.
I
wouldn't
say
one
year:
that's
not
a
long-term
goal
to
me.
We
already
have
our
20
22
work
plans.
So
I
think
it's
two
three
four
years,
something
like
you
know
I
I
wouldn't
put
one
year
in
there
and
go
out
farther
five
might
be
too
far,
but
you
know
three
or
four,
I
think
is
really
reasonable.
So
that's
good.
B
Okay,
cool,
so
again,
ongoing
dialogue,
we're
gonna,
have,
I
think,
it's
exact
way
of
trying
to
get
us
ahead
of
the
curve
for
a
lot
of
the
conversations
we're
gonna
be
having,
and
so
we
will
be
happy
to
be
to
share
the
results
of
those
conversations
and
involve
you
more
so.
B
Secondly,
in
regard
to
s
reap
and
just
trying
to
get
a
better
understanding
of
how
our
accountability
in
regard
to
those
processes
for
the
work
that
we
lead
and
policy
has
also
taken
on
sort
of
understanding,
this
a
little
bit
better,
but
at
the
executive
level
we
have
asked
mary
to
reach
out
to
a
representative
to
present
to
exec
just
a
information
session
about
us
reap
processes
and
lana,
I'm
so
sorry,
I
should
have
this
written
down.
Can
you
remind
me
the
acronym
again
I,
these
are
almost
everything.
M
B
Thank
you,
okay,
and
so
there's
like
a
documented
process
about
how
to
incorporate
that
into
your
decision
making.
So
that's
something
that
we
are
accountable
to
have
a
better
understanding
of
and
how
we
might
be
able
to
implement
that
moving
forward
so
step.
One
is
us
just
understanding
what
it
means,
what
the
expectations
are
from
the
city
level
for
this
group
today
and
moving
forward,
and
so
this
will
be
an
ongoing
dialogue
too.
B
B
All
right,
okay,
so
I
don't
have
any.
I
don't
think
there's
any
other
updates
in
regard
to
the
work
plan
for
exact,
that's
kind
of
a
lot
and
we're
excited
to
get
some
of
this
stuff
in
motion
here
in
quarter,
one
so
happy
to
have
that
report.
For
you
guys.
I
think
the
next
item
on
our
agenda
is
new
business.
Does
anybody
want
to
bring
anything
forward
that
wasn't
on
our
agenda
this
evening?.
B
Look
at
that
I
can
make
good
on
my
my
comment
that
we
might
finish
up
a
little
early
tonight.
That's
always
nice!
Okay,
with
that,
we
have
completed
all
items
on
the
agenda
for
this
meeting.
I
will
ask
members
and
staff
if
there
are
any
other
matters
to
come
before
this
meeting.
B
B
Let
me
know
if
you
want
to
schedule
a
one-on-one
with
a
council
member
and
staff
that
is
not
represented
on
our
commission
by
end
of
day
friday,
we'll
put
that
together
and
policy
will
have
a
succinct
anchoring
question
for
this
group
and
some
talking
point
information
for
you
sometime
later
next
week,
and
I
don't
think
we
had
anything
more.
That
was
pressing
your
term,
okay,
if
not
and
without
objection.
I
will
declare
this
meeting
adjourned
thanks
everybody,
it
was
so
good
to
see
you
have
a
super
nice
evening,
a
good
rest
of
the
week.
