Let
the
record
reflect
that
we
have
a
quorum
with
that.
The
agenda
for
today's
meeting
is
before
us.
There
are
five
items
on
today's
consent
agenda
item.
One
is
set
in
a
public
hearing
for
august
10
2022
to
consider
an
ordinance
amending
the
minneapolis
food
code
item
two
is
authorizing
a
grant
application
to
the
centers
for
disease
control
and
prevention
for
public
health
infrastructure,
workforce
and
data
systems.
C
D
Madam
chair
council
members,
brian
gorman,
with
emergency
management,
so
our
uasi
grant,
as
we
call
it,
is
our
it's
an
annual
grant
that
we
receive.
We
primarily
use
it
to
fund
staff
within
the
office
of
emergency
management.
However,
we
also
use
it
for
webeoc,
which
is
our
common
operating
picture.
We've
required
here
at
the
city
and
then
some
exercises
training
exercises
that
we
conduct
on
an
annual
basis
to
hire
a
contractor
to
come
in
and
design
and
conduct
those
for
us,
and
this
year's
award
was
also
some
money.
D
I
think
about
75
000
for
public
works
to
put
together
a
training
and
exercise
plan
to
help
prepare
their
water
facility
for
any
kind
of
event.
That
might
happen
there.
A
E
Thank
you
sheriff.
You
saw
no,
I
would
love
to
know
if
we
had
any
staff
present
to
talk
about
item
number
three
about
the
maternal
child,
health
federal
home
visiting
fund.
I
think
that's
an
amazing
initiative,
knowing
just
the
despairing
rates
of
of
mortality
and
death
for
black
moms,
specifically
so
really
excited
to
see
that
the
city
is
leading
on
efforts
like
this,
and
I
know
this
is
happening
at
the
state
so
yeah.
I
would
love
to
hear
a
little
bit
more
about
this.
F
Council,
member
vita
council
member
once
leave
my
name
is
louise,
I'm
with
the
city
of
minneapolis
health
department.
This
is
money
that
the
state
provides.
It
comes
from
federal
funds
to
provide
family
home
visiting.
This
is
additional
funds
to
provide
food
assistance
to
the
families
that
are
already
receiving
home
visiting
services.
F
So
we,
the
our
home,
visiting
services,
are
provided
through
a
contract
with
hennepin
healthcare
for
with
their
community
nurses,
public
health
nurses,
and
this
would
provide
each
family
up
to
six
hundred
and
fifty
dollars
in
food
assistance.
So
that's.
We
expect
that
at
least
a
minimum
of
eight
hundred
eight
183
families
could
receive
that
money
and
if
they
don't
you
know,
a
family
doesn't
need.
The
650
needs
less,
that
it
could
extend
to
more
families.
F
The
majority
of
families
receiving
home
visiting
services
are
young
moms,
so
under
24
24
and
under
many
from
our
bipod
communities
and
families
that
have
history
of
child
abuse
or
mental
health
issues,
substance
abuse,
so
families
that
are
struggling
and
have
young
children
under
two.
So
that's
that's
what
the
the
funds
will
be
added
to
already
existing
work,
that's
being
done.
E
Thank
you
again.
This
is
really
good
to
hear
that
we're
taking
leadership
in
this
way
and
supporting
some
of
our
young
mothers
across
the
city.
It
sounds
like
I'm
always
interested
in.
You
know
letting
our
constituents
know
how
they
can
access
these.
It
sounds
like
there's
already
services
in
place
through
hennepin
county.
Do
typically
people
come
into
these
services
through
hennepin
county,
then.
F
F
B
F
Currently
provides
the
service
for,
for
both.
You
know
we
contract
with
them
hennepin
county,
also
contracts
with
them
to
provide
those
services,
so
that's
public
health
nurses
that
are
doing
the
these
specific
services.
We
also
have
other
programs
that
are
with
community
organizations
where
we
don't
work.
It's
not
a
what
we
call
an
evidence-based
home
visiting
program.
It
doesn't
require
a
public
health
nurse.
It
just
requires
someone
that
you
know,
has
knowledge
of
public
health
and
can
have
implement
some
different
models
that
are
not
considered
to
need
a
public
health
nurse
to
implement.
F
E
A
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Any
further
discussion
seeing
none.
I
will
move
for
approval
of
the
consent
agenda.
All
those
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
I
I
any
opposed
nay
that
carries
and
the
consent
agenda
is
approved,
seeing
no
further
business
before
us
and
without
objection.
I
will
declare
this
meeting
adjourn.
