From YouTube: Ask 311: How do I file a noise complaint?
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
As
city
dwellers,
you
can
expect
a
certain
amount
of
noise
as
you
go
about
your
day,
but
excessive
noise
from
an
outdoor
concert
or
a
construction
activity,
especially
during
the
night
when
you're
trying
to
sleep,
can
be
a
major
nuisance.
How
do
I
file
a
noise
complaint?
You
can
contact
3-1-1
to
report
a
noise
issue.
City
ordinance
places
restrictions
on
when
certain
types
of
noise
activities
are
allowed
and
which
activities
require
special
permits.
For
instance,
powerline
mowers,
leaf
blowers
and
similar
tools
can
only
be
operated
between
7:00
a.m.
and
10:00
p.m.
A
outdoor
amplified
sound
audible
above
the
level
of
conversation
speech
at
a
distance
of
50
feet
requires
a
sound
permit
at
any
time.
You
can
file
a
noise
complaint
by
calling
or
emailing
3-1-1.
Once
the
complaint
is
received,
an
inspector
will
be
assigned
to
the
case
and
they
will
reach
out
to
you
for
further
information.
If
it
is
an
ongoing
issue,
the
inspector
will
schedule
a
time
to
monitor
the
sound
using
a
sound
meter
to
determine
if
there
is
a
violation.
If
there
is
a
violation,
a
citation
may
be
issued
either
way.
