get
a
street
use?
Permit?
A
street
use
permit
is
required
when
placing
a
dumpster
or
storage
container
in
the
street
or
public
right-of-way
residents
cannot
apply
for
a
street
use
permit
on
their
own.
Only
licensed
contractors
can
obtain
them.
A
3-1-1
can
refer
you
to
a
list
of
approved,
wrecking
contractors,
solid
waste
contractors
and
storage
container
companies
who
can
secure
street
use
permits
license.
Contractors
can
apply
for
street
use
permits
online
by
fax
mail
or
by
walking
into
the
development
review
customer
service
center.
No
dumpster
or
containers
should
be
placed
in
the
public
right-of-way
until
a
permit
has
been
obtained.
A
Contractors
will
need
to
obtain
an
obstruction
permit
from
the
Public
Works
Department
if
access
to
the
street
or
sidewalk
will
be
restricted.
The
city
requires
72
business

advance
notice.
If
parking
meters
need
to
be
hooded
or
if
streets
need
to
be
posted
with
temporary,
no
parking
signs,
the
approval
process
may
take
one
to
two
business
days.

are
not
required
