From YouTube: COVID Resiliency In Spanish
Description
These feature community members who have experienced COVID and how their families managed through the situation including quarantining and avoiding getting other family members and friends ill while they were sick. This is Erendira Garcia's story.
A
I
moved
about
a
year
and
a
half
ago,,
except
now
that
I
had
my
brothers
and
my
sisters.
My
brother
was
the
first
to
start
feeling.
Bad.
He
thought
they
were
allergy.
Symptoms.
He
came
to
the
house
to
pick
up
some
medicine
that
They
came
to
our
house
and
from
then
on
he
went
home
the
next
day.
He
told
us
I
have
a
fever.
They
all
had
the
next
day.
We
went
to
try
to
make
the
appointment
to
do
the
exam.
A
He
let
us
see
the
appointment,
they
gave
it
to
him
until
the
next
One
day.
I
no
longer
went
to
work,
but
the
next
day
they
told
him
that
it
was
positive
and
we
stayed
like
that
for
almost
a
week,
but
he
began
to
find
out
that
we
decided
to
tell
him,
because
some
of
us
already
have
young
people
or
why
don't
you
move
home
here
so
that
we
can
take
care
of
you
a
little
better.
So
we
prepared
a
steam
room
for
him,
so
he
could
breathe
a
little
better.
B
Him
when
he
was
working,
because
my
first
symptoms
were
all
c
breath,
is
the
day
that
I
was
sweating
all
over.
My
body
was
when
my
sister
spoke
and
I
told
her
and
I
feel
like
that,.
That's
how
she
told
me,
well,,
maybe
it's
kobe
and
but
I
didn't
want
to
believe
it,
I
wanted
to
think
that
it
was
also
an
east,
a
normal
fever.
When
I
found
out
it
was
kobe,
I
didn't
know
how
I
was
going
to
react
and
it
was
getting
worse
every
day
and
fevers
headaches.
B
B
What
we
did
was
when
they
found
out
that
I
had
to
try
not
to
get
out
that
I
simply
had
no
contact
with
anyone
with
one
of
my
sisters
and
well,
this
one
later
we
found
out
that
we
could
all
the
young
man
was
when
we
all
got
together
as
a
family
and
tried
to
be
all
in
one
place
so
as
not
to
try
to
infect
other
people.
My
sister
The,
older
mana
helped
us
with
cooking,
this
time.
Another
sister
helped
us
measure
our
temperatures,.
We
are
all
helping
each
other
and
well,.
A
This
week,
it
was
when
I
began
to
develop
the
symptoms,.
It
was
almost
two
weeks
later,.
All
our
families
were
Already
positive
about
this
cover,,
that's
how
we
brought
the
button,.
Obviously
we
couldn't
go
out
to
that.
Many
of
these
relatives
brought
us
food.
I
think
that
in
a
way
it
helped
us
unite
to
value
our
time
with
ourselves
a
little
more.
A
And
when
she
tested
positive,.
We
chose
20
here
so
that
no
one
or
your
family
gets
sick..
We
don't
want
anyone
else
to
catch.
Him.
She
came
to
stay
with
us,,
so
that
was
a
way
that
a
lot
of
us,
who
used
to
fight
against
the
young
man,
made
this
house..
Basically
the
quarantine
house,
we
were
all
helping
each
other
well,
the
ones
we
could,
because
there
are
some
who
did.
We
were
in
bed
and
we
couldn't
do
anything,,
but
those
who
felt
more
or
less
well
themselves,.
Basically,
we
were
together,.
A
They
didn't
throw
a
lot
of
encouragement
among
themselves,.
They
all
came
to
me,
my
sister
meditated,
get
up,,
don't
let
the
Egyptian
blanket
fall
down,
and
she
told
me
for
me
to
get
up
and
stand
up.
/
bathe
you
or
whatever,
but
it
didn't
help
us
much
to
cheer
us
up,
and
we
received
a
lot
of
help
from
outside
our
house
with
our
relatives
who
at
least
once
sent
us
a
plate
of
food
which
basically
helped
a
lot
because
he
is
sick
and
cooking
is
a
bit
difficult.
