A
Recycling
cuts
down
on
the
trash
we
throw
out,
and
now
there
are
even
more
items
we
can
keep
out
of
the
trash,
because
the
city
of
Minneapolis
is
collecting
organics.
Here's
how
it
works
in
your
kitchen,
keep
food
scraps
and
other
organics
in
a
small
container
lined
with
a
compostable
bag.
Then
just
take
that
bag
out
and
put
it
into
your
green
cart.
A
Every
week,
city
crews
collect
organics
which
are
turned
into
compost.
There
are
so
many
things
you
can
recycle
through:
organics
collection,
fruits,
vegetables,
meats,
bones
and
dairy
products,
food,
soil
paper,
paper,
towels,
pizza
boxes,
facial
tissue,
egg,
cartons,
coffee
grounds,
tea
bags,
popsicle
sticks,
toothpicks
and
so
much
more
make
sure
you
use
a
certified
compostable
bag.
A
Organics
recycling
does
not
include
milk
cartons,
diapers
head
waste
plastic
lined
paper
products
or
greases
also
keep
using
your
yard.
Waste
collection
for
branches
leaves
grass
clippings
and
outside
plant
material,
there's
no
extra
charge
for
organics
recycling,
but
you
do
need
to
sign
up
to
get
started
for
more
information
and
to
sign
up
for
organics
recycling,
visit
the
city
of
Minneapolis
web
site
or
